NWA Powerrr 2/4/2025

Kenzie Paige says Hailey J is walking in the ring with history and the history maker. She says J may be top dog everywhere else but is swimming with the sharks here. She says she will put out her flame and take the trash out.

Joe Galli and Danny Dealz welcome us to the show. 

Size Matters (Sam Stackhouse and Eric Smallz) vs The Colon's (Primo and Epico)

This is ridiculous with a midget facing full sized wrestlers.

Primo is in the blue and Epico is in the red. Primo gets on his knees for Smallz to mock him. Primo throws him off the lock up. Sam tags in while Primo isn't looking. Primo then tries to tag out. Sam corner splashes Primo then Smallz bronco busters Primo.

Smallz steps on Epico's foot then bulldogs him while he's down. Smallz then does the worm and head spins into a leg drop on him. Primo lifts Smallz by the shirt and breaks the count. Epico stomps on Smallz then is sends him into the buckles. 

Primo hits punches on Smallz and eye rakes him with the feet. Smallz takes a double boot. Epico suplexes Smallz. Smallzjawbreakers him then hits a step up enzugiri.

Sam is tagged in. He lariats both opponents. Sam slams both of them. Sam spinning heel kicks Epico. Sam takes off his shirt which is something we didn't need to see. Sam misses a 2nd rope twisting splash on them. Smallz gets on the buckles and is pulled down by Epico. Smallz takes a powerbomb + backstabber combo and is pinned.

Thoughts: They did what they were supposed to here but I didn't like it at all. It's just not believeable that Smallz has any chance against full sized wrestlers.

Kyle Davis interviews Mims. Mims says he will cash another check. He says he will beat someone up and get paid. He says people lime Mr. Grim have to pay to get a shot at the title. He says people like Kyle get paid to stand here and look stupid and interview people. Mims says he gets paid to beat people up and he will do that tonight.

NWA National Title - Mims (c) vs Mr. Grim

Both of these guys lost to women in 2024. I don't know how Grim got this shot. Jeez is not with Mims.

The two lock up. Mims hits a big forearm and double axe handles him. Grim leapfrogs and dropkicks him. Mims knees and clubs on him. Mims slaps him in the back of the head. Grim pulls Mims' throat over the top rope. Mims hits back elbows and corner spears. Mims carries him and spinebusters him for 2.

Mims hits a big lariat. Mims hits a shot to the gut and belly to belly suplexes him. Mims hits headbutts then does a corner splash. Mims hits another corner splash. Grim is then thrown hard into the buckles. Mims bearhugs him. Grim throws him over then shoulders him over. Grim flying shoulders him.

Grim walks up the buckles and does like a blockbuster for 2. Grim germans him. Grim goes up top and misses a 450, landing hard on the mat. Mims hits a heart punch then does a backdrop type of move on him to win.

Thoughts: The idea was good with them doing a heavyweight match. But most of the important moves didn't hit clean and just never really captured the flow of this one. That brought this down along with the match being a bit slower and longer than needed.

The IT Girls are interviewed. Ella Envy tells Kyle to shut up. She says they will put their titles on the line against Kylie Paige and an unknown opponent. Ella says Paige is only a champ because of her. Ms. Starr sais Paige can find anyone she wants. She says if she stacks them up, they will knock them down.

Kyle Davis in the ring for intros. Hailey J stops him. She says it's about time. She says finally the NWA has a real superstar on their roster. She says she can go toe to toe with the meanest of the mean and the baddest of the bad. She says she's the one who will put an end to the Kenzie Paige era. She says this is the beginning of her tour and says she will be the first to hold every women's title in the NWA at the same time.

NWA Women's Title - Kenzie Paige (c) vs Hailey J

They shove each other. KP hits forearms and chops. KP lariats her down. J pounds on KP on the ropes then leg lariats her there. J neckbreakers her over the ropes and KP takes a hard ride down to the floor.

J pounds on her while she's down then suplexes her. J sledgehammers her in the chest and foot chokes her on the ropes. KP hits chops and forearms. J running back elbows her. J superkicks her for 2.

J bangs KP's head off the mat. KP cradles her then takes a boot. J snapmares her and kicks her in the back. J meteora's her from behind. J shining wizards her for 2. KP euros her then J slaps her. J superkicks her and KP superkicks back.

They trade forearms. J lariats her for 2. They fight on the buckles. J powerbombs her and curbstomps her for 2. J stomps on her and grabs her sock filled with rocks. The ref grabs it. J gets mad then KP cutters J for the win.

Thoughts: The finish was dumb and even the announcers pointed it out. It's a shame because it wasn't a bad effort otherwise. Paige looked good and the two matches up okay. I thought they should have considered letting J win here just to build up a new name in the division.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual bad edition of NWA Powerrr. I didn't like them having a midget wrestler compete against a normal sized wrestler. They had the right idea in the Mims/Grim match but it was random and the two weren't on the same page. The main was okay but the finish wasn't well done. As usual, there was little follow-up from things that happened on the last episode and prior episodes and there wasn't much built for the future here. I wouldn't recommend it and would give it a 4 out of 10.
