WWE LFG 6/14/2026 Season 3, Episode 8

WWE LFG 6/14/2026 Season 3, Episode 8

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/06/wwe-lfg-672026-season-3-episode-7.html

Chris Island, who is now fired, heads to the Performance Center to work out. He says he had an identity crisis and was trying to find a character. He says his character is the hardest worker in the room. He says NXT is full of hard workers but none of them are like him.

The coaches talk. Booker T, Matt Bloom, Johnny Gargano and Kevin Owens are there today. Johnny has Jaime Garcia vs Chris Island. Bloom says Garcia has bad habits (so he's giving him to Johnny lol). He says he doesn't know what Chris Island's personality is. Bloom wants Garcia to be less bendy and more gritty. Owens has Nathan Cranton vs Mike DeRudder. Bloom says Mike wants to know why he wasn't called up with Elio LaFleur. Owens agrees with Mike.

Nikkita Lyons faces Zena Sterling. Bloom wants someone else to coach Zena and show some personality and physicality. Booker says to give him 60 minutes and he will show us a different Zena Sterling. The coaches want to do a cheer but Booker won't.

We hear from Jaime Garcia. He says he did soccer until he did wrestling. He said he did wrestling instead of learning English. He says he dropped out of studying Psychology as WWE offered him a contract. Gargano says he has a soft spot for indy wrestlers. Gargano says there's something special about Chris Island and wants him to be himself.

Jamie Garcia vs Chris Island

We are at the Evolve arena for this.

JG waistlock takedowns him and CI goes out to stall. CI pulls JG's shoulder into the ropes. JG dropkicks him then flying shoulders him. CI spinebusters him then hits mounted forearms. CI chokes JG with tape over the bottom rope.

CI curbstomps JG into the mat. CI pounds on him in the corner. JG grabs him to try and get up and is pounded on. CI neckbreakers him. CI cranks his head. JG backdrops him and hits forearms. JG claymore kicks him. JG does water wheel drop variation for 2.

JG hits spine forearms and germans him. CI lariats him. CI gtuwrenches him into a knee to the face and pins him.

Thoughts: It was one of the better Chris Island matches we have seen. I thought he did okay as the rougher heel here and Garcia was alright enough as the face.

Gargano says Garcia could have sold his neck a bit more. He  tells them there will be a lot of opinions on who you are but all that matters is who you are. Island thinks he's taking off to the moon right now.

Bloom says the heel Island has more possibilities and he showed him some range. Island says he was waiting to hear that. Bloom tells him to stop pandering to the people before making the cover.

Nathan Cranton says Mike DeRudder is impressive. Mike says NC is his friend. Owens says NC's act is ripping off Triple H's old posh gimmick. Owens tells NC to show his gritty side. NC wants to use the ref as a shield in his match.

Nathan Cranton vs Mike DeRudder

Mike backs up NC in the corner. NC forearms him in the spine. Mike headflips out of a wristlock and NC pulls him down by the hair. Mike reverse monkey flips him then flying headscissors him. Mike dropkicks him.

Mike's up and over is blocked and he is crotched up top. NC lariats him down to the floor. NC hits mounted shots outside and bangs his head off the commentary table. NC uppercuts him and Mike sunset flips him for 2. Mike armdrags him but NC turns it into a bulldog choke.

Mike backs him up in the corner. Mike double jump springboard dropkicks him. Mike triple jump diving cutters him for 2.

NC hides behind the ref and messes with him. Mike takes a stun gun and NC curbstomps him with the knee for 2. NC is knocked off the buckles. Mike top rope ssp's him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a nice little match here. NC had decent looking offense as the heel and Mike did his flying. These guys are above LFG and really shouldn't be here. They are just miles above what a Chris Island can do.

Kevin Owens says everything they do looks great but he didn't see the emotion behind it. Owens says he didn't see the urgency when NC threw him out.

Matt Bloom says he loves NC's music. Matt says they are TV company and says NC's back was facing the camera too much.

Booker T talks to Nikkita Lyons and Zena Sterling. Zena says she's always had Bubba as he coach. She says she never worked with Booker before. Booker tells Zena to be a fighter and says she's playing wrestler. He says she needs his expert tutelage. He tells her to react and not act.

Nikkita tells Zena they are here to have fun and let the crowd feel their emotions. Booker tells them not to rush.

Nikkita Lyons vs Zena Sterling

We are at the NXT arena for this.

They lock up. Zena elbows the arm and wristlocks her. NL throws her down by the arm. They do a double knuckle lock and Zena overhead throws her. Zena does a fireman's carry. Zena lariats her for 2. NL backhands her and knees her in the ribs.

NL hits punches to the gut. NL suplexes her for 2. Zena hits shots to the ribs. NL michinoku drivers her for 2. Zena hits punches on her. Zena hits lariats and backdrops her. Zena backsplashes her. NL spin kicks her and pins her.

Thoughts: It wasn't bad. Nikkita really connected on some of her kicks and punches. Zena didn't get all that much offense here. It was one of Nikkita's better showings.

The wrestlers are happy with their match after. Booker asks if they felt like they learned something. Booker says Zena's punches could have been better and he says he never did a lot of punches. Zena says she's proud of herself for trying something different. She feels more pressure and confidence.

Overall thoughts: This show and its format is pretty straight forward. The wrestlers and coaches pick something to work on during a match, they do the match then review it after. The big problems the show runs into is when WWE fires someone while the show is going on and that they feature different people each week, so they can't always follow up on various wrestlers. It was an unoffensive and acceptable show. There's nothing must see here. The wrestling was better than usual though on this one and I liked all 3 matches.
