Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/11/wwe-nxt-11182025-nxt-gold-rush-2025.html

Note - NXT alum Yoshiki Inamura won the NOAH Title this weekend. Read all about it here

Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

We get a Veteran's Day video.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

The Culling come out. We get a "Tatum Tuesday" chant. She says she has goosebumps hearing herself called Women's champ. She says she has to listen to hear friends if she wants to keep hearing that. Izzi says all they want is what's best for Tatum. Izzi asks her to promise to stop giving out title shots and making irrational decisions. Tatum says she knows she's impulsive but having them helps her with it.

She says she liked spinning the wheel and Izzi says it's not about pleasing them. She says the last time she fought for the fans, she was left alone. Izzi says the more Tatum defends the title, the more she risks losing it. She says not everyone deserves a shot at her title. She says to stop giving out free opportunities.

Fatal Influence come out. Jacy says Tatum needs to decide what type of champ she will be. Jacy says Izzi right about giving out title shots but says to give out title shots to people who earned it like her. Izzi says Tatum isn't falling for it. Jacy asks if Izzi doesn't have faith in her friend to get the job done. Jacy says it's Tatum's title and not hers. Jacy says the right thing to do is give the former champ a rematch.

Tatum says she has to be smart and more selective about who she gives title shots to. She says she will do that...right after New York. She says Jacy gets her rematch at Gold Rush and jumps around. Jacy is happy and The Culling are confused.

The remaining members of The Vanity Project talk to Ava. Jackson Drake says he will defend his Evolve at Gold Rush. Ava brings up Sean Legacy maybe being champ. Ethan Page, Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre come in. Page says Green has joined him in the double champ club. Ava says they should get ready for their match vs Thea and Hendry next week. Alba says there will be no match next week as they don't have security clearance. Ava says Alba should step in the right tonight. Green agrees.

WWE Men's Speed Title - El Grande American (c) vs Jasper Troy

JT has a new camera shake effect for his entrance. I'm picking JT to win here as GA has too much on his plate.

JT spears him into the corner and hits corner spears. GA is thrown chest first into the buckles. JT slams him for 2. GA kicks him. JT catches him off the 2nd rope then GA leg lariats him. GA PK's him for 2. JT short arm lariats him then back elbows him.

JT stomps him and foot chokes him. GA hits punches and JT headbutts him in the chest. JT facekicks him then splashes him for 2. JT runs into a step up enzugiri from GA. GA walks up the buckles and blockbusters him. GA goes for a tope and is forearmed.

JT grabs his chain outside. Bravo and Ryo stop him and grab the chain. The ref sees them with the chain and ejects them. GA topes JT. GA puts a weapon in his trunks. GA slaps him then flying headbutts him. GA drops his weapon when the ref interrupts him. JT corner splashes him and black hole slams him to win.

Thoughts: I called this one. Grande has too much going on and wasn't going to be able to defend this title so he lost it. It's good they gave Troy the win here as now he has something to do and gets some extra credibility by holding this title. It was average as they only had 5 minutes to work with.

Thea Hail is wondering where Joe Hendry is. He then appears with his music playing. Joe says Thea putting cake in Page and Green's faces inspired him. Thea says she's been waiting for a big moment like at Gold Rush and he gave it to her. Thea says they will become AAA Mixed Tag champs. Thea says she will take it to a former NXT UK champ tonight as she believes in Joe Hendry and she believes in Thea Hail.

Sean Legacy and Ava talk. Sean says he can't wait to put an end to Drake's title reign. Sol and Zaria come in. Sean says we all miss seeing Sol in action. Ava says Sol is medically cleared as tolerated. She says the decision is up to Sol. Sol says she wants the title next week. Zar says she doesn't want her to rush it and make it worse. Sol says she's cleared and it's her choice. She says she wants Blake Monroe next week.

Thea Hail vs Alba Fyre

Thea has a new theme that sucks and says, "I Believe" at the start of it. Thea jumps on her with a kimura. Alba rams her in the corner and hits corner spears. Alba snapmares her and stomps her arm. Alba hits corner spears.

Alba snapmares her and kicks her in the shoulder. Thea goes up and over with a roll-up attempt. Thea snapmares her then Alba rolls her up for 2. Thea armbars her. Alba slaps her. Thea jumps on her and hits mounted punches. Thea yanks on Alba's arm.

Thea tilt-a-whirl armdrags her and dropkicks her out. Thea bottom rope coffin drops her outside. Thea argues with Chelsea Green and blocks her shot. Alba then topes Thea.

We go to PiP break and return. They trade shots. Thea armdrags her off her shoulders and hits double axe handles. Thea lariats her. Thea slams Alba then misses a bottom rope back splash. Alba sends Thea into the buckles and tornado ddt's her for 2. Alba cradles her and Thea michinoku drivers her for 2. Green distracts Thea on the apron. Thea jumps on Alba with a kimura. Page gets on the apron and Hendry sends him into the post. Green slaps Page when Joe moves. Thea topes Green.

Alba superkicks Thea for 2. Thea code red's Alba and wins.

Thoughts:
I didn't like this one that much. There was a lot of shenanigans and Thea was pretty sloppy here with her armdrags. This should have been a lot better for the experience level of both girls. Thea was obviously winning here.

Tatum Paxley talks to Ricky Saints in the doctor's area. Ricky tells her not to let anyone tell her how to be champ. The Culling walk in and pull Tatum away. Tatum says she has something to tell Ricky but they pull her away.

Blake Monroe does a video. She talks to a clone of herself in black which I guess is supposed to be her dark side.. Blake says no one is taking the title from her and her clone doesn't believe it. The clone says the title isn't hers until she beats Sol Ruca. The clone rips her attitude and says she won't be Sol by outshining her. She says the only way she can beat her is if she has her by her side. She says she will have to break her and do whatever it takes to get the title. The clone says Blake needs her and says she shows up when she needs her most. Blake says the people won't like it if she breaks Sol. The clone says it doesn't matter. The clone says they need each other and the glamour needs to be seen but the woman from hell needs to remembered. Blake says they make one perfect champ.

Thoughts: There's no explaining this one. They shouldn't have even done it as there is no way to make it realistic.

Je'Von Evans is on the phone with Leon Slater and is happy about being in Cena's Tournament. He says he's going to talk to the crowd. Leon says he wants to be there and Evans says he will be.

Jordynne Grace is interviewed while wearing glasses. She says Kelani Jordan tried to justify why she took the easy way out. She says cheating is easy and lazy. Grace says she was a TNA Knockout before she was an NXT star. She says she was champ 3x before Kelani thought of going into wrestling. She says Lei Ying Lee will have to be collateral damage. She says Kelani can just blame her at Gold Rush.

Je'Von Evans is in the ring. Evans says he's excited about being in The Last Time is Now Tournament. He says he's nervous. He says it's because he's going against Gunther and is wrestling in MSG at the age of 21. He says MSG has been around longer than he has been alive. Evans says him and Leon Slater have a big announcement. He says Leon isn't here but asks to get him on the tron.

Leon appears on the tron. Evans says they were given what they wanted - a match next week vs Dark State in a tag title match. Leon says they will jack them. Evans says they make magic when they are in the ring. The lights then go out for Dark State.

Griffin says they got their next two victims in front of them. Dion says their future is in Dark State's hands. Dion says they will end it in MSG. Shugars says Ava and Santino got the control but it has nothing unless they enforce it.

Shugars says Evans is about to do Gold Rush on their own. Evans says they are dumb then Leon Slater runs in. They fight with Dark State and somehow get the advantage. They clear them off.

Trick Williams and Kelani Jordan talk in the back. Kelani says Trick is right and it's lonely at the top. KJ says the only person you gotta worry about is yourself. She says she picking Trick to win tonight vs Saints. Trick says sometimes you just gotta be selfish. He says to show everyone why she is "HER".

WWE Women's Speed Title Tournament 1st Round - Skylar Raye vs Fallon Henley

Raye is Dani Sekelsky from WWE LFG and just won the last season. I don't like the new name as it's hard to spell. This is her NXT TV debut. Sky comes out with pom pom's like she did on LFG. I think she has a ton of portential as she's good looking, athletic and has some fire. She moonsautls off the 2nd rope during her entrance.

Sky dropkicks Fallon then casadora rolls her into a pin attempt. Fallon hits forearms in the corner. Sky armdrags her then backrolls into a pin attempt. Fallon bodyscissors takedowns her for 1. Sky crucifixes her for 2.

Fallon chops Sky. Fallon spinning armdrags her. They each try pins. Sky hurricanrana's her off a powerbomb attempt and backsplashes her in the corner. Sky top rope crossbodies her for 2. Sky does a bad headscissors into a ddt. Sky is dropped throat first on the ropes. Fallon twisting facebusters her then fameassers her for the win.

Thoughts: Sky had some sloppy moments here but these matches are always rushed and not the best situation for newer girls. I'll forgive it but it wasn't her best showing. I don't love her losing in her debut either.

Jasper Troy does a promo. He says the title proves he shuts it down when someone steps in the ring with him. He says anyone who faces him will bend the knee.

Dark State comes outside and Dion says Leon and Evans won't laugh next week when they knock them out. Dark State yells about what they will do and pushes the camera away.

Fatal Influence talk in the back and say Fallon and Jacy will win titles next week. Lainey Reid says she will do what she has to go do.

Josh Briggs vs Tavion Heights

JB facekicks him to start and pounds on him. JB hits forearms and stomps him. JB back elbows him and Tav fireman's carry takedowns him. Tav hip throws him then waistlock takedowns him twice.

Tav waistlocks JB and JB nails him from behind. JB side slams him for 2. JB elbow drops his back. Tav hits punches. Tav takes him down. JB flying lariats him. We go to PiP break and return.

Tav jumping forearms him. JB hits him in the knee then hits mounted punches. JB slaps around Tav. Tav slams him down then running lariats him. Tav slingblade headbusters him. JB facekicks him twice. Tav hits a belly to belly suplex to win.

Thoughts
: I was surprised to see Tav win here. That's an upset for sure. Josh did his part here. I felt like it was a little rushed and Tav didn't get a lot of great comebacks in this.

Ava talks to Myles Borne in the back. Ava says she knows Borne wants to cost Trick a title chance and says he can't interfere. Wren Sinclair comes in and Borne goes out to watch the main. Kendal Grey comes in. Wren says she's focused on getting the WrenQCC going. Wren says they need one more member. Lainey Reid comes in and slaps Kendal. They then fight on the ground and it's broken up.

NXT Title - Last Man Standing Match - Ricky Starks vs Trick Williams

RS has his ribs taped up. Trick misses a kendo stick shot. RS hits punches and chops. RS rope walks with the stick and hits Trick with the stick. RS clotheslines Trick over the top with the stick. They duel chairs.

Trick is sent into the steps. RS springboards and is hit in the gut with a trash can. Trick hits him more with the can. Trick flapjacks him on the can. Trick leg lariats him. Trick chops him.

RS is tied up in the ropes. Trick hits him in the gut with the stick and breaks it. Trick chairs him in the ribs. RS hits him with a trash can lid. We go to PiP break and return. Trick spinning pump kicks him. Trick runs at him but is sent into the rails. Trick is busted open. RS hits a bunch of kendo stick shots. Trick begs off. Trick kicks a chair into RS. Trick does a stupid jump to nothing and is chaired.

RS chairs him many times in the back. RS does a big spear on Trick. RS is sent into a chair in the corner and goes out. Trick rams steps into RS' head. Rick hits a trick shot off the steps onto RS. RS takes a rock bottom on the steps. Trick puts the steps on RS and Trick stands on the steps. RS slides out and Trick doesn't see it. Trick is pushed off into a ring bell. RS tries to spear Trick through the riser but Trick side steps him and sends him through it.

RS then comes in and hits Trick. They fight in the stands. Trick pumping knees him there. Trick stands on a rail and RS spears him off of it through the commentary table. Trick and RS are getting up together and RS piefaces him down. Trick can't meet the 10 count and loses.

Oba Femi's music then hits as we end the show.

Thoughts: They blew through some of the big spots at the end as they were running low on time. The spot through the commentary table could have ended it. Both guys got bloody here with Trick bleeding from around the temple and RS having a very busted open mouth. I liked Trick targeting RS' injured ribs. RS hit some nice spears here. I thought they did okay but they needed more time for this to make it more dramatic. I was surprised to see Oba Femi come out after as he should be on the main roster already.

Overall thoughts: It was a very busy show with a ton of things going on with Skylar Rae debuting, a big gimmick match for the title, Blake Monroe talking to her dark side clone, Oba Femi returning and Jasper Troy winning his first title. I liked the show as a whole and thought they did a good job with this. The main was the best match of the night. I'd give this a 7 out of 10 as they pulled out all the stops here and that's with 2 big shows ahead in the next 2 weeks. It was a good show.
