New Japan Pro Wrestling 11/2/2025 Hiroshi Tanahashi ~ Final Homecoming

Oleg Boltin, Shoma Kato & Tatsuya Matsumoto vs. Katsuya Murashima, Masatora Yasuda & Zane Jay

Tat and Zane go at it. Tat takes him down and Zane hammerlocks him. Tat side headlocks him then headlock takeovers him. Zane headscissors him. Kato fireman's carry takeovers Masa. Masa shoulder throws him and armlocks him. They trade shots. Kato armdrags him then shoulders him over. 

Tat chops Masa and slams him three times. Tat bangs Masa's head off th ebuckles. Oleg chops Masa down in the corner and on the ropes. Kato slams Masa for 2. They trade forearms. Kato chops him. Masa hits big dropkick. 

KM gets in and dropkicks Oleg off the apron. KM flying forearms Kato then back body drops him for 2. Kato dropkicks him. Oleg gets in and is hit with shots by KM. Oleg chops him over. Oleg misses a splash. Zane comes in and hits dropkicks and forearms on Oleg.

Zane goes up and over and dropkicks him. Oleg then is hit with a double dropkick for 2. Zane holds on Oleg for shots then Zane crabs Oleg. Oleg rope breaks. Oleg slams Zane then splashes him for 2. Oleg F-5's Zane and wins.

Thoughts: It was your usual young lions stuff here. It was totally unoffensive and fine, just nothing that great.

Kato beats up KM outside after.

Daiki Nagai, Gedo & Hiromu Takahashi vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles)

HT = Hiromu Takahashi, Kosei Fujita = KF

Gedo and Hart go at it. Gedo wants none of him and his partners won't tag him. Gedo begs. KF gets in. Gedo eye rakes him and punches him in the face. KF chops him. Gedo eye pokes him then KF forearms him. KF double chops him down. Gedo's opponents pull on his beard. Rob slams Gedo. Gedo takes sentons from 2 opponents.

Gedo takes a double back elbow and has his legs split. Rob hits leg kicks on Gedo. Gedo eye pokes him and Rob spin kicks him in the gut. Gedo jawbreakers him. HT comes in and hits crossbodies on KF and Rob. HT tries it on Hart. Nagai tries to knock them over but just bounces off of them. HT basement dropkicks Rob.

Rob sliding lariats HT from behind. Hart catches HT's crossbody. HT stomps his foot then crossbodies him. Nagai gets in. He tries to slam Hart but can't. Nagai hits running forearms on him then hits dropkicks. Nagai then slaps him after an HT superkick.

Nagai crabs Hart. KF apron moonsaults HT outside. Hart crossbodies KF then death valley drivers him for the win.

Thoughts: Gedo got picked on like usual here. They had some story going with them all trying to do take down Hart and eventually succeeding. I thought it could have been a little shorter. I don't understand how Gedo's team came together at all. 

El Desperado, Kuukai, Tiger Mask & YAMATO vs. Funky Carat (Dragon Dia & Ryusuke Taguchi), KUSHIDA & Yuki Yoshioka

Dia and Kuu go at it. Kuu waistlock takedowns him and Dia armdrags him. Kuu armdrags and dropkicks him. Dia dies a silly string and headscissors Kuu from Yuki's back. Dia standing moonsaults Kuu. Kuu is popped up into a oduble dropkick on Yuki and Dia.

Kuu dropkicks Yuki. Despy elbows Yuki in the head. Despy is tripped and kicked into the head. Taguchi is put in a wristlock. Kush works Despy's arm. They eye rake each other. Despy backdrops Kush.

Yamato and Yuki get in. Yuki side headlocks him then Yamato shoulders him over. Yuki shoulders him over. Yamato forearms him then Yuki suplexes him. Taguchi comes in and flying hip attacks Taguchi. Tiger stops Taguchi's hip attack. Taguchi takes a double superkick.

Kush takes a high/low then Despy and Yamato are dropkicked together. Yuki and Dia hit stereo tope con hilo's outside. Kush handsprings but Kuu dropkicks him. Kuu top rope moonsaults outside. 

Tiger crucifixes Taguchi. Tiger top rope double underhook suplexes him for 2. Tiger goes to pick him up then Taguchi gets a surprise pin on him.

Thoughts: There were too many people and not enough time here. We got a few dives but it wasn't super serious and we didn't get anyone's best.

Master Wato, Shota Umino, Toru Yano, YOH & Yuya Uemura vs. House Of Torture (Dick Togo, EVIL, Ren Narita, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi)

The heels attack before the bell as usual. Shota is sent into the post and Yano gets a hammer put into him. Evil clubs on Yano then sends him into the exposed buckle. The heels group stomp Yano outside. Kanemaru baseball slides Yano then elbows him in the head. Ren chokes Yano then Yno pulls him down. Shota comes in and dropkicks Evil. Shota corner euros him and hits forearms and chops in the corner. 

Yujiro bites Shota then reverse ddt's him. Shota armdrags and dropkicks Yujiro. Shota is pulled over the top. Ren eye rakes Shota then Shota tornado ddt's him. Wato takes corner attacks and a 2nd rope chop to the crotch. 

Togo chokes Wato with a weapon and Yoh breaks it up. Yoh jumps off of Wato's back with a back elbow on Togo. Togo eye pokes Wato then Wato sunset flips him. Evil then breaks up Wato's submission on him. Wato dropkicks Evil and Evil runs into the ref. 

Wato has whiskey spit into his eyes then he is hit with a title belt and pinned.

Thoughts: It was a short one with a dirty finish. The heels did a bunch of cheating as usual here and it wasn't that good. We've seen this many times before.

Evil low blows Yano after. Evil gets on the mic then tries to hit him with a belt but Aaron Wolf stops him. Wolf hip throws Evil and lifts Evil's title. 

United Empire (Callum Newman, Great-O-Khan, Jakob Austin Young & Templario) vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Clark Connors, OSKAR & Yuto-Ice) & Shingo Takagi)

Yuto shoves CN and Oskar grabs CN before the match. Temp side headlocks Clark and they collide. Temp corner lariats him then Clark hits a forearm. Temp pumping knees him. Temp walks up the ropes and springboard dropkicks Clark. Temp flying space tiger drops him but Clark catches him and rams him into the rails.

Everyone fights outside and Yuto beats up CN in the seats. Jake's head is banged off a seat by Shingo. Shingo then gets his head banged off of it. Temp flapjacks Clark on the floor. Oskar chokes CN in the aisle and Khan chokes Jake with a rail. 

Khan mongolian chops Clark and uppercuts him. Khan sits on Clark's neck and pulls his arms. CN arm throws Clark then hits mounted forearms. CN hits a hard shot on Yuto and drops him. CN knees Clark in the got then Clark pounces him.

Shingo comes in and cleans house. Shingo hits chops and forearms on CN. Shingo release germans Temp. Shingo shoulders over CN then CN enzugiri's him. Shingo sliding lariats him. CN spinning back elbows Shingo then corner enzugiri's him. Shingo ddt's him but CN headflips out. Shingo flips him with a lariat. Yuto and Jake get in. Jake hits forearms and Yuto hits a hard one. Jake flying sing le leg dropkicks him. 

Jake chops Yuto then tornado ddt's him for 2. Yuto hits chest kicks on Jake then spin kicks him in the gut. Yuto corner meteora's him. Jake rolls him up for 2 then enzugiri's him. Oskar sleeper drops Jake then Yuto PK's Jake for 2. 

Temp superkicks Oskar. Temp's crossbody is caught. Khan punches Oskfar in the gut then Temp flying headscissors Oskar. Shingo hits a flatliner + ddt combo. We get some fast paced action and Yuto basement pump kicks Jake. He then pins Jake to win.

Thoughts: It was a fast paced bout for the most part. We got the usual brawling outside and they did an okay job with this. It got more than enough time.

We get a big fight after from these guys that has to be broken up. CN drops a young lion with a slap. 

Super Junior Tag League 2025 Final Match - House Of Torture (DOUKI & SHO) vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Robbie X & Taiji Ishimori)

Sho talks on the mic pre-match. Sho and Douki try to do a sneak attack but are stopped. Sho's team are sent into the rails outside. X chops Douki in the crowd then sends him into the seats. Sho is sent into the post. X then rolls TI onto Sho for 2.

TI chops Sho in the corner. TI is pulled into the post crotch first. X is then put crotch first into the post while the heels pull TI's legs there. TI is sent into the rails then X's head is banged off the table. Sho throws TI into the seats. Douki hits X with an umbrella. TI is then sent into the post.

Douki double stomps TI for 2. Sho then hits TI in the gut with a chair. TI takes a double gorilla press gutbuster for 2. TI then has his arms and legs stretched at the same time. Sho and TI eye rake each other. TI handspring corkscrew kicks him. 

X comes in and hits shots on Sho. X goes up and over then dropkicks him. X handspring kicks Sho off the apron then topes him outside. X flips off the post and backflip kicks Douki. X finlay rolls Sho and hits a standing moonsault. TI sliding germans Sho from the 2nd rope and gets a 2 count on him. X is pulled over the top. Sho grabs the ref and Douki chairs TI.

TI is put in the powerbomb position and Douki sunset bombs him from the top. TI is put in the douki chokey. X ducks a double clothesline and hits a double pele kick. Douki eye rakes him. X corkscrew kicks him. X then hits a spiral tap on Douki. TI goes for the pin and Sho pulls the ref out.

X blocks a wrench shot from Sho and superkicks him. X handsprings and is hit with the wrench in the back. TI zig zags Douki and Douki gets a 2 count on him. Douki is popped up and low blowed while the ref is down again. X springboard corkscrew dives out on Sho. TI does a border city stretch on Douki. Douki spits mist in TI's eyes, low blows him and pins him to win.

Thoughts: It was the juniors version of an HoT match here. X kind of worked as the defacto face since all four guys are heels. It would have been fine if they just let them go do their thing but we had to have tons of shenanigans as usual that added nothing to this. X had a really good night here and did all of his big moves. 

Douki talks on the mic after. He says his team won every single match in the tournament. He says he's the Junior champ and half of the Junior tag champs. He says he's the best champ in junior heavyweight wrestling.

IWGP Global Heavyweight Title Match - Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi

They trade waistlocks. Tana wristlocks him then trips him into a side headlock. Tana side headlock takeovers him and is put in a headscissors. Tana ties up Yota's legs and side headlocks him. Yota side headlock takeovers him and they stand off. 

Tana back elbows him and 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. Tana poses and is hit with a baseball slide. Yota boots Tana in the corner then hits corner spears. Yota bodyscissors Tana. Yota camel clutches him. Yota splashes him for 2.

They trade shots. Tana flying forearms him. Tana slams him then 2nd rope flipping swantons him for 2. Yota flatliners him. Yota crabs him. Yota hits chops in the corner. Yota flying pumping knees him in the corner. Tana dragon screws him. 

They trade forearms. Yota gets rocked. Tana hits a twist and shout then a slingblade for 2. Yota 2nd rope superplexes him for 2. Yota crabs him. Yota suplexes him. Tana dropkicks him in the knee then straightjacket germans him for 2. Yota hits his own slingblade when Tana runs at him for 2. Yota misses a top rope splash then Tana spears him. Tana doesn't have the energy for the pin though. 

Tana hits a top rope crossbody then misses a high flying flow. Yota spears him. Tana slaps him and is heabutted down. Yota runs at him and is cradled. Tana hits a cradle shock on him. Yota gets his knees up on a high fly flow. Yota spears him and wins.

Thoughts: It was a fun match. It was competitive with both guys being in the mix for the win. I liked them doing each other's moves and I liked the match in general. It's a shame Tana didn't put Yota over though on a bigger stage with a bigger build to it.

Yota puts over Tana after and says he has always been chasing him. He says he beat him for the first time tonight. He says he never plans on him being Tanahashi or the ace. He says he plans on surpassing everything he has been. Tana says this is his show and he lost on it. Tana says the ball is in Yota's court now. Tana says he's proud to be a wrestler.

Yuto-Ice comes down and has words for Tana. Yuto challenges him to a singles match next week.Yuto says he will bring out the scariest Tana we have seen and says, "let's get high".

IWGP World Heavyweight Title Match - Konosuke Takeshita (c) vs. Hirooki Goto 

KT chops him on the break early. They forearm each other. KT side headlocks him and Goto shoulders him over. Goto hiptosses him and shoulders him over. They fight on the apron. KT ddt's him there. KT then ddt's him on the floor. KT running facekicks him on the rails.

KT hits downward elbows on him and chinlocks him. KT hits knees in the corner. KT hits facekicks and is chopped. KT single arm bulldogs him. KT armbreakers him over the shoulder. Goto back elbows him. Goto runs into his boot and KT running lariats him. 

Goto spinning heel kicks him in the corner and backdrops him for 2. KT his forearms then exploders Goto. KT boots him off the apron then tope con hilos him. KT flying lariats him. 

Goto suplexes him. Goto corner lariats him and takes a corner facekick. KT blue thunders him for 2. They trade forearms. KT facekicks him twice. Goto ushigoroshi's him. Goto hits a reverse GTR and a running lariat. KT head twists him. KT then chickenwings him.

They fight up top. KT pumping knees him. They trade forearms on the buckles. Goto 2nd rope sunset bombs KT for 2. Goto hits a GTW for 2. KT cradle tombstones him then wheelbarrow germans him. KT lariats him for 2. KT poisonrana's him then hits a pumping knee for 2. 

KT botches a last ride and drops Goto down hard. Goto lariats KT. Goto hits a nightmare pendulum for 2. Goto headbutts him and chops him. KT hits a big forearm then pumping knees him. KT hits a falcon arrow and wins.

Thoughts: It was all bomb throwing here and high impact moves. Goto pretty much used his whole arsenal here. They didn't go too over the top though with apron moves and moves off the buckles though. It was an okay match and maybe could have used a few less minutes.

KT talks on the mic after. He says his next defense will be on 1/4 at the Dome and asks who will challenge him. Yota Tsuji comes out and says it will be him. He challenges KT. KT challenges him to put his title on the line as well. Yota agrees and they hold their titles up at each other.

KT says as long as he is champ, he will bring wrestling to a new world. He says we will see just that.

Overall thoughts: The undercard was a waste of time like usual. UE/War Dogs was okay enough. The BOSJ Tag League Final was the junior version of a House of Torture match with lots of shenanigans that brought it down. Yota/Tanahashi was fun and I was okay with Goto/Takeshita. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as it was above average.
