WWE NXT 11/18/2025 NXT Gold Rush 2025 Week 1

We are in New York City. Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive. 

AAA Mixed Tag Titles - Ethan Page and Chelsea Green (c) vs Thea Hail and Joe Hendry

Green blocks an armdrag from the casadora from Thea. Thea rolls her over and kicks her. Thea then makes Green do Joe's hand wave. Page and Joe get in. Page side headlock takeovers him then Joe does the same. They stand off. Joe wristlocks him then Page reverses it. Joe headflips and arm throws him.

Page knees him in the gut then Joe shoulders him over. Joe suplexes him. Thea gets on Page with a kimura and Green breaks it up. Green is dropkicked into Page and goes down. Thea tornado ddt's Page off of Joe. Joe and Thea then pose.

We go to PiP break and return. Page chinlocks Joe. Joe euros him. Alba Fyre trips Joe. Page high kicks Joe and codebreakers him for 2. Page guillotines Joe in mid-air. Joe suplexes him to escape. Joe hits lariats on Page. Joe flying headscissors Page. Joe backrolls out of Page's crossbody then fallaway slams him.

Green is pulled over the top near Page. Thea top rope coffin drops them outside. Green bangs Thea's head off the apron. Thea back elbows Green in the corner then exploders her. Thea basement dropkicks her and Page breaks up the count. Thea tells him to suck it then superkicks him. Alba is hit by Thea. Thea kimura's Green with a bodyscissors. 

Page pushes Joe onto Thea to break the hold. Green hits an unprettier on Thea and pins her to win.

Thoughts: It was a good choice for an opener. As always, the girls were allowed to hit the boys here while the boys didn't even think of doing it to the girls. The heels were always going to win this since it was a title match. They kept things moving and this never was boring.

Lola Vice and Jordynne Grace talk in the back. Grace talks about Kelani hitting her in the head with her N-A Title. Kelani comes in. She says they are two girls she has beaten already. Kelani says Lola kicked her out of the locker room. Grace says Kelani knows it's her last week with the title. Kelani says jealousy doesn't look good on her but she has a lot of time to work on it as she will be champ for a long time.

Ava does a video talking about 2025. She says it was a memorable year and says we are 3 weeks away from Deadline, our final PLE of the year. She says the Iron Survivor Challenge will return. She says one person will select all the competitors in it and they will do it next week. Ava says John Cena will be picking the wrestlers.

Tavion Heights is interviewed in the crowd. He says 2025 has been a wild ride. He says he's gone from Olympic wrestling to WWE. He says he needs to lock in and says he has no regrets about being in NQCC. He said they did more for him than he learned in the Olympics. He says he couldn't imagine if Cena picks him next week. He says if he does, he will be the iron survivor. Josh Briggs then hits Tav from behind and they fight in the aisle. They then fight near the merch stand and security breaks it up.

Zaria asks Sol Ruca if she's sure she wants a match tonight. Sol says she needs her title back and the only person who can do it is her.

WWE NXT Women's North American Title - Blake Monroe (c) vs Sol Ruca

They lock up and roll on the ropes. Sol headlock takeovers her. Sol sunset flips her. BM laughs at her and Sol step up enzugiri's her. Sol dropkicks her through the ropes. BM slingblades her then spinning side slams her. Sol spins her and drops her on her chest. Sol superkicks her for 2. 

BM throws her down backwards. Sol dropkicks her. Sol is pulled into the buckles. Sol's injured leg is banged off the post. They double clothesline each other on the floor. We go to break and return. 

BM pulls on Sol's leg. Sol up kicks her from the mat. BM boots her. Sol back elbows her. Sol hits a big german. Sol 2nd rope dropkicks her. Sol running knees her for 2 after doing a kip up on one leg. Sol is pulled down from the buckles and BM running headbutts her. Sol superkicks her.

Sol moonsaults off the 2nd rope outside. BM clips her. BM half crabs her. BM takes Sol's knee brace off. Sol rolls her up for 2. Sol tries to superkick her but falls. BM does a calf crusher variation. Zaria grabs a towel and Sol says no. Zaria then throws it in and the ref stops the match.

Thoughts: Ooh this will add some heat to Sol and Zaria as a team. The breaks kind of came at the wrong time here so we didn't see the start of BM's knee work on Sol. BM worked the knee in the 2nd half of this one. Sol clearly missed a couple of strikes here and has had better days. I thought it was so-so but I'm interested to see what comes of the ending.

Fatal Influence talk in the back. She says both girls have title matches so if she has to pop Kendal Grey in the face, so be it. Jacy says Gold Rush is their event. Fallon says Halloween Havoc was a fluke. Jacy says her partners will have titles after next week and they will leave NYC draped in gold.

Ricky Saints comes out. Oba Femi comes out before Ricky says anything. Rick says welcome back and said he knew he would show up sooner or later. He says beating him was a surprise though to everyone. He says he took a shot against him and won. He says people like Oba can't handle losing. He said he whooped Trick and defended against TNA while he was gone.

Rick says he's glad he's back and the people are too. Oba says he's the same as he left him and he hasn't changed. He says he's the same little man. He said he didn't want to get involved in the NXT/TNA nonsense or Rick's contest with Trick to be best dressed. He said he went home to train. Oba says the sun is setting on the absolute era. He says the destroyer is back and says Rick's daddy is home. Rick says if he wants a rematch at Deadline, he has got it.

Trick Williams comes out. Trick says it's not over until he wins his NXT Title back. Myles Borne hits Trick with a chair from behind. He said he heard him and he's done. He says payback is a b!tch. He says Rick and Oba are looking at the next iron survivor winner. He says he will see them at New Year's Evil.

Ava complains about Myles Borne getting involved. He brings up Trick hitting him with a chair. Ava says that's not how things get done here but sets up Myles vs Trick for next week.

We then cut to Tavion Heights and Josh Briggs fighting in the back. Briggs chairs him and sends him through a table. 

NXT Tag Titles - DarkState (Dion Lennox and Osiris Griffin) (c) vs Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater

The faces hit stereo superkicks. Evans suicide dives the heels outside. Leon dropkicks Dion for 2. Dion hits punches on Leon in the corner. OG spinning slams Leon. Evans top rope double stomps OG to break the pin up. Evans pulls OG over the top and jumps from the apron to the commentary table. He superkicks him from there. Evans flying headscissors Dion inside then dropkicks him for 2. Evans seated springboard headscissors Dion. OG is double dropkicked out. Evans and Leon do stereo plancha's outside. 

We go to break and return. OG chinlocks Evans. Evans takes a curbstomp + ddt combo. Dion twists Evans' head. Evans hits punches on Dion. Evans superkicks him and pump kicks him. Leon tags in and hits shots on the heels. Leon rewind kicks Dion. Leon handspring back elbows OG. Leon top rope crossbodies OG for 2. 

Evans corkscrew kicks OG off the ropes. Leon utopia's Dion. Leon corkscrew dives over the post and Evans onto the heels. Evans cutters OG. Evans top rope frogsplashes OG for 2. Leon handspring kicks Shugars off the apron then is shouldered over OG. Leon takes a double powerbomb. Evans springboard splashes Leon when Dion moves. Leon takes a doomsday device and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a good tag with the faces flying and the heels kind of just being there for the ride. It was entertaining as expected. I was a little disappointed the faces didn't win but maybe another night.

Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey talk in the back. Grey says Gold Rush is the biggest stage the Evolve title has been on. She's ready for it. Wren says Dempsey didn't tell her she's back when he attacked the wrestlers on TNA. Wren says not to worry though as they need to focus on her keeping her title next week.

We get a video on Shiloh Hill. We see him programming at a pc. He says he's the winner of Season 2 of LFG. He says people think he's a jock or a nerd. He says school wasn't his thing. He said him and his sister would run in the woods all day instead of school. He says he tested out of all of his classes in high school and focused on stuff like the dark web and conspiracy theories instead. He said playing football was cool as he loved hitting people. He said he had 6 D-1 offers after his first year. He says he loves the sound of the air leaving someone.

Thoughts: I think this was designed to be weird and it was but it also didn't work.

We get a video on Sean Legacy vs Jackson Drake for the Evolve Title. 

Zaria and Sol Ruca talk in the back. Sol said she had control of the match and was gonna win. Zaria says she didn't have it. She says Sol wasn't going to tap out and she didn't want to see her get her leg snapped in half. Zaria asks if she's the bad guy for caring about her. She says she can't be champ again if she's injured. Zar says let's think about next week instead when she the wins the Speed Title. Sol pushes a towel into her and leaves.

WWE Women's NXT Title - Tatum Paxley (c) vs Jacy Jayne

Both girls have their crews with them. TP armlocks her. Jacy chops her and is chopped back. They trade chops. Jacy trips her then armdrags her twice. They trade pin attempts. Jacy flying headscissors TP.

TP superkicks her in the gut adn croner crossbodies her. Jacy is in the corner and her partners pull her to the apron. TP then knocks Jacy into her partners. TP apron moonsaults all the heels.

We go to PiP break and return. TP hits forearms. Jacy hits a hard lariat for 2. TP double boots her out of the corner. Jacy enzugiri's her while she's on the top rope. Jacy top rope hurricanrana's her. TP superkicks her.

They trade shots. TP hits forearms and high kicks her. TP germans her. Jacy is over the middle rope and TP steps on the apron and enzugiri's her. TP flipping legdrops the back of the her neck. Jacy back elbows her then pulls her into the buckles with her feet. Jacy corner cannonballs her.

Jacy is on the 2nd rope and TP step up enzugiri's her. TP 2nd rope twisting fisherman's neckbreakers her then does a sitout bomb on her for 2. Izzi Dame gives TP a chair. TP pushes it back. Jacy rolls up TP for 2. Jacy superkicks TP. Jacy PK's TP from the apron outside.

Jacy spinning forearms her inside for 2. Lainey Reid grabs TP's title and Izzi drops her. Izzi slides TP the title in. Jacy grabs it first and the ref catches her. TP backrolls Jacy for 2 and TP is sent out on the kick out. TP tries to go in, Spears and Niko block her then Izzi facekicks TP from the side. Jacy spinning forearms TP and pins her.

Thoughts: We knew The Culling wasn't going to put up with Tatum not listening for long and they made her pay for it here. It made sense and it was built up to so it works. It also gets the title off of Tatum without her losing clean. I liked the match and Jacy had a good showing as usual while Tatum was a likeable face.

The Culling stand over Tatum and Izzi grabs Tatum by the hair as the show ends.

Overall thoughts: It was a fun show. I liked the opener. Blake and Sol tried but the commercial didn't work in their favor and Sol had a bad night. Evans/Slater had a good match as a tag team against Dark State. The main was fine and had a big swerve at the end. It wasn't quite as good as last night's Raw, but they built up and furthered a lot of stuff here. They did go a little heavy on the heels winning though as they won every match on this. I'd give this a 7 out of 10 as I thought it was a good show.
