AEW Collision 11/27/2025 Collision Thanksgiving

AEW Collision 11/27/2025 Collision Thanksgiving

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/11/aew-dynamitecollision-11192025.html

Note - This show is on a Thursday at 8PM so they could avoid WWE's PLE this weekend.

We are in Nashville, Tennessee. Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

AEW Continental Classic 2025 Gold League - PAC vs Mike Bailey

They trade shots to start and chop each other. Mike hits a kick combo on him. Pac suplexes him on the floor. Mike is thrown into the rails and Pac steps on his face. Mike's head is banged off the buckles and he is thrown hard into the corner and goes down.

Pac cravates him. Pac basement dropkicks him. Pac elbows him on the top of the head. Mike 2nd rope dropkicks him. Mike spin kicks him and chest kicks him. Mike running ssp's him for 2. Mike leg sweeps him on the apron then triangle moonsaults outside.

We go to PiP break and return. Pac top rope belly to belly suplexes him for 2. Mike facekicks him. Pac evades superkicks and is facekicked. Pac pump kicks him. Pac rebound germans him. Mike standing moonsault double knee drops him.

They trade facekicks and facekick each other at the same time. They then facekick each other at the same time on the floor outside. Mike is sent into the commentary table and takes a horrible looking german suplex on the floor. Mike top rope moonsaults him outside. Mike is belly to belly suplexed into the buckles. Mike spinning roundhouse kicks him.

Mike poisonrana's him then superkicks him. Mike spinning high kicks him. Pac hits a hard running lariat then does the brutalizer. Mike is out and Pac wins.

Thoughts:
I didn't like it. Mike took a top rope belly to belly which meant nothing and he also took a horrible looking german on the floor which didn't have much of an effect on him. It was an indy style match and they had a couple of goofy spots where they facekicked each other at the same time.

We then see Okada watching this in the back.

Lexy tries to interview Daniel Garcia and Mox in the back. Garcia says he has to drop off dead weight in Matt Menard. He says he needs him to bleed for him one more time tonight. He says when he gets through him, he will go for the TNT Title and Menard won't be with him.

Brody King and Bandido are interviewed. Band says he feels bad as they lost the titles because of him. He says he feels proud. He says King taught him how to fight. He says he will not let the loss happen again. King says the titles aren't the only thing that keeps him alive. He says Brodido isn't over and doesn't have to be over. He says they will fight for the tag titles for a long time. He says Band has Final Battle next week and he has to prepare for that. He tells him to walk in and out of Final Battle as ROH champ.

Daniel Garcia vs Matt Menard

This was not well built to even though it should be the end of the feud. Mox joins commentary for this.

They lock up and break in the corner. DG piefaces him then is pushed over. Matt hits mounted corner punches and clubs on him. DG is sent into the rails. DG's head is banged off the steps. Matt hits mounted punches outside near the rails.

DG running knees him then pounds on him in the corner. DG hit headbutts and knees to the head. Matt is bleeding. We go to break and return.

DG crabs Matt then Matt reverses it and crabs him. DG ddt's him on the floor. Matt's head is banged off the commentary table. DG dropkicks the steps into Matt's head, which is next to the post. Matt gets in and falls down. Matt does DG's dance and rolls him up.

DG hits chops, Matt chops back and Matt clubs on him. DG dropkicks him then does a bulldog choke. Matt is out and DG wins.

Thoughts:
It was fine. Matt bled here and they treated it as more of a fight than a wrestling match. Matt lost as expected and that should be the end of this feud. I have no idea where Menard will go from here.

DG then talks trash after and stands on him.

Mark Briscoe comes out with his title. Mark says he's thankful to be there. He says he's humbled to be the TNT champ. Mark says he was having a hard time deciding who should challenge him next for the TNT Title. He tells DG not to let his mouth write a check that his @ss can't pass. Mark talks about eating Thanksgiving dinner and says he will devour him like it. They butt heads and DG walks off.

The Demand talk in the back. Kaun says Ricochet his fulfilled his quest for gold. Ricochet says he is the champ and he sets the tone. Ric says he has done everything he has set out to do here. Ric says we should be thankful for a champ like him. Ric says his quest for gold was a success because of Toa and Kaun. Toa says he reserved reservations for the best 5 star restaurant, but it is in Nashville.

Tony Schiavone interviews FTR and Big Stoke in the ring. Stoke says it's the best night of his life as FTR are the champs. Stoke says Full Gear was a spectacle but everyone talked about FTR vs Brodido. He says FTR prevailed through every obstacle put in their way. He says he's humbled and privileged to introduce them.

The lights go out and The Bang Bang Gang of Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn arrive. Gunn says they were the last tag team to pin FTR in the ring and says they want to be first to congratulate them on being 11x champs. He then says to put your guns up if you are tired of FTR. Juice says they don't want to hear them brag again and they know how good they are. Juice says they won $200,000 last week though. He says they have green but want gold.

Juice says they beat them and it's not the first time. Juice says they don't care where or when, they just care that the next time they fight, the titles are on the line. Dax yells at them and his belt is knocked down. Juice says maybe next time is their time. Austin says they are fighting for his brother and Jay White.

MxM TV come out. MxM are dressed up as The Tin Man and The Lion from The Wizard of Oz. Mansoor rips the crowd and says this is the MxM casting call. He says they are off to see whose @ss they are kicking tonight.

MxM TV (Madden, Mansoor and Johnny TV) vs The Outrunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) and Dalton Castle

The faces are hit from behind. JTV throws Taya into Dalton. Mansoor hits mounted corner punches on Truth. Truth powerbombs him. Turbo hits punches on the heels and slams them. Madden leg lariats Turbo. MxM miss a double elbow drop.

Dalton comes in and suplexes JTV and Mansoor. Madden is forced to ride the top rope crotch first. Dalton exploders Madden. Mansoor is hit with total recall then The Runners hit a double elbow drop on him. Dalton hits a bangarang on Mansoor and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a short one and not super serious as expected. I have no idea why MxM keeps doing these in a kayfabe sense. Shouldn't they be tired of getting their butts kicked? I wish they could have had a full regular match as it would have been good.

Ricochet and Toa come out. Kaun appears in the ring behind the faces. Ric tells them to turn around and Kaun dropkicks Dalton Turbo takes a headbutt and a double spinebuster. Dalton is pendulum dropped face first.

Ricochet points out someone named Michael Ray in the crowd. He pokes him and says he would never make in wrestling. Michael pushes him and Ric taunts him. Ric threatens him.

The Don Callis Family are interviewed in the back. Rock says he's thankful for his DCF jacket. Hech talks in Spanish. Mark Davis says he's grateful for nothing and less. Josh says he's grateful for Don's wisdom. Takeshita says he's thankful to be in The Continental Classic and this family. Okada says he's thankful that he doesn't have to team with Takeshita. Takeshita yells at Okada and we cut away.

Katsuyori Shibata vs Eddie Kingston

They fight on the ramp and KS boots him. KS throws him into the rails. KS hits him with the rail top cover. Eddie is in hair and KS pushes him over. The belly rings and Eddie double underhook suplexes KS for 2. KS corner spears Eddie and chokes him. KS germans him.

KS foot chokes Eddie in the corner. KS top wristlocks him and stomps the arm into the mat twice. KS stomps the arm. They trade forearms. KS boots him in the corner.

We go to PiP break and return. KS low blows him in front of the ref. The ref doesn't care and KS goes for an armbar. Eddie boots him out of the corner and ddt's him to win.

Thoughts
: The finish was absolutely horrible here. Something had to have happened. KS low blowed Eddie and the ref saw it then Eddie just ddt'd him to win. This was bizarre and what we got wasn't that great.

Eddie talks on the mic after. He says Hook is still his boy and he has to deal with his decision. Eddie says they wanted him to come out here and "shoot". He says he doesn't want to accept the love from the fans as he doesn't think he deserves it. He says he doesn't act or try to get a character over. He says he is pro wrestling and says he loves the fans as they love pro wrestling. He says he wakes up everyday and doesn't know if he will live or die. He says he does it for kids who want to get into wrestling but says don't do it.

Eddie says Samoa Joe will lead Hook down the wrong path. Eddie says he only has peace when he's in the ring. He says winter is coming and tells Joe not to defend the title against him. Eddie then holds up a kid in the crowd.

Thoughts:
I don't know what this was. I don't like shoot promos or talk about people being characters, because this is wrestling and all of this and all the people in it are supposed to be real.

Red Velvet does a promo. She says Mone put up a good fight against Kris Statlander. She says 13 belts wasn't so lucky, was it? She says the only reason Mone beat her is that she saw an opening and took it. She says Mone is a fighting champ and so was she. She says she wants her rematch at ROH Final Battle.

Thekla vs Tay Melo

Tay misses a charge and is thrown down backwards. Tay takes her down and hits mounted shots. Thek then hits mounted shots. Tay shoulder throws Thek twice then back kicks her for 2. Tay does an unusual submission on her. Thek ropebreaks. Tay is tripped into the ropes and Thek facekicks her there. Thek suplexes Tay on the ramp. We go to PiP break and return.

Tay hits a big shot and Thek laughs. Thek hits a big slap. Tay ties her hair up and slaps her. Tay then clubs on her. Thek hits a big forearm and drops her. Thek does a brutalizer and Tay turns it into a pin attempt. Thek superkicks her in the face. Tay pumping knees her for 2.

Tay hits a gotch style piledriver for 2. Thek stomps Tay's foot. Thek spears her then curbstomps her for the win.

Thoughts: This was different with Tay getting fired up and them hitting each other hard. I don't know if this was the right moment for it but I appreciate the effort and it was interesting at least. Man everyone is just shooting tonight on AEW...

Skye Blue and Julia Hart come out and beat up Tay after. Jamie Hayter comes out. Kris Statlander then comes out and the heels back off.

AEW Continental Classic 2025 Blue League - Konosuke Takeshita vs Roderick Strong

They lock up and KT clean breaks him on the ropes. They do a test of strength. RS grabs the wrist and KT wristlocks him. KT rolls him while in a headlock. KT hiptosses him. KT flying lariats him. RS backbreakers him then chops him.

RS stomps him on the bottom rope and chops him. KT goes out and RS dropkicks him through the ropes. KT is sent into the rails. KT blue thunders him on the rail top and RS hits his head off of it.

We go to PiP break and return. KT forearms him and is hit with a dropkick. RS leg lariats him then does a regular lariat. RS olympic slams him. RS hits chops and forearms. RS drops him chest first on the mat and double underhook powerbombs him for 2. RS goes for a crab but KT ropebreaks.

KT blue thunders him for 2. KT corner facekicks RS. RS side slams KT on the top rope. KT blocks a jumping knee and forearms him. RS enzugiri's him and fireman's carry gutbusters him. RS does a backbreaker. KT backrolls into a german on him for 2. KT pumping knees him then hits a raging fire to win.

Thoughts:
It was an okay match as expected. RS kept KT from doing anything too wild. I had no issue with this and it was a fine main. KT got the win here as expected.

Overall thoughts: We had some weird stuff here with Eddie shooting, something funky going on in the Eddie/Shibata match and Tay/Thek getting worked up in their match. It was an okay night of wrestling but it was the usual Collision B-Show where the stars were anywhere but here and where you could easily skip the show. I thought the main was the best match on here. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 total.
