NWA Women's TV Title - Tiffany Nieves (c) vs Sirena Veil

They say there is no time limit for this one. Tiff escapes mounted corner punches. SV armdrags her. SV chest kicks her then walks up the buckles and armdrags her. SV double jump diving armdrags her then running neckbreakers her. SV dropkicks her. Tiff pulls her down from the buckles.

Tiff boots her in the corner and puts her in tree of woe. Tiff baseball slides her. SV hits headbutts. Tiff running knees her then spinning side slams her. Tiff armbars her. Ms. Starr tries to help Tiff get leverage outside. SV hits jawbreakers. SV headbutts her then backdrops her. SV running knees her. 

MS. Starr trips SV. SV spinning high kicks Tiff then leg slices her for 2. SV dropkicks Starr through the ropes. Tiff kicks the rope into SV's face then hits a soul foot. Tiff spinebusters her. Tiff then does a texas cloverleaf and submits her.

Thoughts: It was random but fine. SV hit her stuff clean and she has a decent look. She might be one to keep an eye out for. Starr should have at least been ejected for her interference. Tiff hits defense 6 in the Lucky 7.

Joe Cazana talks to Kylie Paige. There's some kind of intergender tag match next week with these two. Joe says he thought Tommy Henry would have the guts to show up here as he will get his rear end whipped next week. Paige says he's preparing for a match while Joe isn't. Joe says he wants to get rid of her family as that's best for business. Paige says her family is literally inside. Joe says they will whip them next week. Joe then asks why Tommy Henry has a different last night than her. He asks what the story was with her mom. Paige gets mad. Joe says she wouldn't want to hit a man with glasses. Paige says she would. Joe says it's not above him to slap a woman around. Joe takes off his glasses and dares her to hit him. Paige then eye rakes him.

Kenzie Paige says she heard what Natalia Markova said about her ducking. Ken says she has decided that Nat has to work for her opportunity. She says all roads lead to Ken vs Nat next week. She says the spoiler is Natalia loses again.

#1 Contender to the National Title Heartthrob Invitational

Austin Idol is in commentary for this.  You can be eliminated by pin, submission or being thrown over the top. Bradley Jay faces someone named "The Wall" Tyler Stevens. Wall's head is banged off the rail and side of the ring. Jay hits headbutts outside. Wall gets a shot in and Jay punch combos him. Mario Pardua is next in. He hasn't been seen here in a while. Mario hits punches on Jay. Jay blocks a sunset flip. Mario backrolls him.

Jay misses a corner spear and Mario russian legsweeps him. Jay running spars him. Izzy James is next in. Jay catches Izzy's crossbody twice. Wall then pushes them over. Wall is hurricanrana'd into the corner. Izzy spinning corner lariats him. Izzy bites Mario's hand. He does a backdrop into a senton on him. Izzy corkscrew kicks him.

Wrcking Ball Legursky is next in. Mario and Izzy trade forearms. Wall lariats them both. Ball back body drops Izzy  then slams Mario. Ball hits corner splashes then corner hip attacks. Wall and Jay run into each other. Ball then wind up punches Wall down.
Ball hits punches on Jay. Jay flying shoulders Ball. Jay corner facekicks Ball. Jeremiah Plunkett is next in. Jay pins Izzy, but we can't see how he did it. 

JP hits shots on his opponents in the corners. JP exploders Mario. JP ddt's Jay. JP hits punches on Ball then double throat thrusts him. Jay facekicks JP. Camaro Jackson (CJ) is next in. CJ slams JP then spinebusters Mario. CJ delay suplexes Wall. JP drops CJ with a punch. CJ back body drops JP. CJ powerslams JP then spinning lariats him. CJ pins JP. Jay running lariats CJ and pins him. Ball running lariats Jay. Christiano Argento is next in. 

We go to break. Natalia Markova says she beat Kylie Paige twice and can wrestle Kenzie for the title next week. Silas Mason says he will take the weight off of Thom Lattimer's shoulders in 2 weeks by taking the title. He says all the expectation and anticipation won't be something he has to worry about anymore. He says he was built to carry that weight. He says he's been the champ all his life but we haven't figured it out yet. He says Thom's cross that he carries will be split in half. Silas says it's not on him but on Thom. 

We return from break. Jay running lariats Mario and Argento pins Mario. Jay running lariats Argento and pins him. Ball throws Jay Bradley over the top and eliminates him. 

Lockjaw Drake is next in. They say he's a cousin of Carson Drake, but I don't know if they are being serious. Drake germans Wall. Ball headbutts Drake down. Ball hits corner punches on Drake and corner hip attacks him. Frank Stone is next in. Stone hits punches on Ball. Ball hits a big slam on Stone. Ball splashes Stone and pins him. 

We go to break. Carson Drake talks in the mirror. He said he told The Holy Grail his team would beat them. He laughs about pinning PB Smooth. The Slimeballz walk in. Rant asks when they will get their sweaters. Drake says they are filthy rich and can get anything they want. 

Hammerstone does a promo. He says a man has to earn what he gets. He says if you say you will do something, you better do it. He said he would get revenge on Kerry Morton and did it. He said he proved he can hang with this roster. He tells the NWA to give him their best.

We return from break. Dante Casanova is next in with full Aztec entrance gear. Ball misses corner spear on Drake. Dante hits polish hammers on Drake. Dante dropkicks Ball and is sent to the apron. Dante top rope crossbodies Ball. 

Ball bangs Drake's and Dante's heads together. Charlie Adams is next in. Adams shoulders Dante over then spinebusters Drake. Idol puts Adams over. Adams hits punches on Dante. Adams hits a sloppy wasteland on him. Adams then splashes him for 2. 

Ball corner lariats Drake. Dante tilt-a-whirl slams Adams. Dante sliding lariats Adams from behind and pins him. Ball headbutts Dante in the corner. Ball running lariats Dante. Ball hits a world's strongest slam on Dante for 2. 

Ball is pulled down to the apron. Ball headbutts Dante. Ball fights off a 2v1 on the apron. Dante eventually knocks Ball off the apron for the elimination. The crowd boos it. Dante and Drake go at it. They trade punches. 

Drake clubs Dante. Dante hits a big ending on him. Drake lariats Dante as we get a "We want Wrecking Ball" chant. Drake suplexes Dante and Wall germans Drake as he does it. Dante top rope moonsaults Drake. Dante is thrown shoulder first into the buckles. The Wall poses and Idol calls it, "The hot dog thing".

Dante is on the buckles and is booted out by Wall. Dante Casanova is eliminated. Drake spears Wall. Drake sends Wall to the apron. Drake rolls up Wall for 2. Wall jawbreakers Drake and Drake no sells it since he is a Lockjaw. Drake lariats Wall on the ropes. Wall swinging side slams Drake and pins him. "The Wall" Tyler Stevens wins.

Thoughts: This was typical NWA with a bunch of random people going at it and one of them actually winning over people who are here every week. Having Wall win but not airing his intro into this match wasn't a good call. I was surprised by how many heavyweights the NWA could find here. It was average for the most part and Dante Casanova had a rough night with a lot of botches. Wrecking Ball somehow got over big again with the crowd.

Mike Mondo does a promo and says Mims is next. He says it's gut check time. Aron Stevens then walks in and asks if he's ready.

We are told on 7/31, Colby Corino went to the hospital with numbness. We are told he has a spinal fracture. He says he's not in the best of places but is happy to be here. He says everything started 2 years ago when his body went numb during a match. He said he would move certain ways and have no feeling. He said he didn't want to tell anyone as he knew he would have to stop wrestling and he didn't want to. He says wrestling is all he has done in his life and said he put all his eggs into the wrestling basket. He said he was lifting his head up and says everything was feeling numb. He said he was told he had bad muscle strain and needed to massage it. He said he woke up and couldn't stand up. He said he went to the ER and kept falling over. He said he was told he was told he needs surgery now. He said he had 3 vertebrae fused and had a bone put in his neck to enforce it all. He says he doesn't know when he will be back but he says he will be back.

NWA National Heavyweight Title - Mims (c) vs Mike Mondo

Mike has Aron Stevens with him and Mims has Jeez with him. They lock up and push each other. Mims wristlocks him. Mike reverses it. Mike takes him down for 2 then is legswept. Mike piefaces him then Mims piefaces him. They do a double knuckle lock. Mike boots him in the gut and cradles him. Mims rolls him up.

They butt heads and chop each other. They forearm each other. Mims eye rakes him then headbutts him. Mims hits a belly to belly suplex for 2. Aron Stevens trips Mims from the outside. Mike nails Mims from behind. Mike foot chokes Mims. Mike flying boots him for 2. Mike chinlocks him. 

Mike lariats him from behind for 2. Mike presses his boot into Mims' gut. Mike snapmares him then elbow drops him for 2. Mike chinlocks him. Mike sleepers him. Jeez trips Mike from the outside. Mims shoulders Mike over.

Mims corner splashes Mike and hits corner spears. Mims spinebusters him then hits a splash for 2. 
Mims runs into Mike's back elbow. Mims lariats Mike on the apron. Mims hits a nice spear for 2. Mims backdrops Mike but Aron Stevens has the ref distracted. Jeez grabs Aron. The Pope D'Angelo Dinero comes down. Pope STO's Mims. Mike fireman's carry gutbusters Mims and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a decent heavyweight bout here. It started off hot and cooled down a little. I don't have a problem with them having Mondo win. Mims felt like he was national champ forever. I believe this is Mondo's first title in the NWA.

Overall thoughts: It was a longer episode of Powerrr. The opener was random but acceptable. The Heartthrob Invitational Gauntlet was more random, average and went long. Mims/Mike was an okay big man match and Mike got the win. We oddly had no Bitcrush or inheritance money skits this week. They have continued to do a better job building up to future matches but as always, the follow up on various angles and wrestlers is lacking. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 total as it was average.
