WWWF Championship Wrestling 7/9/1977

WWWF Championship Wrestling 7/9/1977

Note - We only have a partial version of this.

Larry Zbyszko and Tony Garea vs Joe Turco and Rocky Tamayo

Larry and Joe go at it. Joe teases some punches. Larry armlocks him and Joe pulls the hair. Joe clubs him and backs off. Joe is scared off by Tony. Joe pulls the hair and side headlocks Larry but Larry rolls him into a pin attempt off the side headlock. Joe puts his feet on the ropes and Tony keeps removing the foot. Tony puts his boot in Joe's face and breaks it up.

Joe clubs Larry's chest and Larry chest clubs him down. Larry hammerlocks RT and they do reversals. Larry wristlocks him and is eye raked. Larry's head is banged off of Joe's boot and RT punches Larry. Joe clubs Larry and bangs his head off the buckles. Joe chinlocks him.

RT stomps Larry and bangs his head off the buckles. Larry is held for a boot from Joe. Joe is lifted and carried into the other corner. Tony gets in and is fired up. Tony hits shots to the chest of Joe then nails RT also. Tony dropkicks Joe and Joe tags out.

RT and Tony lock up. RT hits shots to the gut and elbows him in the back of the neck. Joe boots Tony and clubs on him. Joe shoulders Ton over. Tony hits a hiptoss and an armdrag. Larry gets in and arm wringers Joe.

RT tags in. RT gives him the up yours signal. Larry arm wringers him then Tony kicks the arm. Tony arm wringers RT then hammerlock takedowns him into a top wristlock. RT trips him and goes for a pin but Tony tags out.

Larry arm wringers RT then hammerlocks him. RT trips him. Joe is held for chest shots from Tony. Joe eye rakes him. Tony double boots RT out of the corner then hits shots on him. Tony drops down and RT runs into Larry's bearhug. RT then taps out.

Thoughts: It was simple wrestling here with the heels doing some basic cheating and the faces sticking to chest forearms and armwringers. Tony's offense didn't look that good here. The heels were effective and Joe was amusing taking old man bumps.

"High Chief" Peter Maivia vs Pete Doherty

Pete is young here and doesn't even have a beard. PM rolls at PD multiple times. PD misses a shot on the ropes and takes armdrags. PD hiptosses PM then is armdragged again. PM hip throws PD. PD eye rakes him a couple of times. PM chops him in the gut and makes him jump. PD's head is banged off the buckles. PM does a dance.

PM spanks PD out of the abdominal stretch. PM then lays on the buckles. PD charges at him, misses a splash and goes over the top. PD gets back in and does his own dance. PM gutbusters him.

PD side headlocks him then eye rakes him. PD clubs him. PD bends over and takes euros. PM then stump pullers him and submits him.

Thoughts: It was an entertaining squash here. Doherty bumped around well and showed personality. Maivia is such an unusual wrestler who is really into looking cool and he had a lot of fun messing with Doherty here. I've never really seen such an unconventional guy like Maivia before.

Overall thoughts: There's sadly only 2 matches out there from this show and I watched both of them. The opener had some enjoyable moments but was mostly armwringers, basic heel work and bad forearms from Garea. Doherty/Maivia was an entertaining squash with both guys showing a lot of personality. There was nothing must see here but what exists of this wasn't bad.

WXM Powerbomb TV 9/27/2025 Part 1

WXM Powerbomb TV 9/27/2025 Part 1

We are in Mumbai, India. Jonny Loquasto and Andrew Karr are on commentary.

They have a very professional looking set-up here with very nice video graphics.

Kevin Malik vs Adam Maxted

Adam is in the blue and KM is in the black.

They lock up Adam side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Adam wristlocks him then KM reverses it. Adam side headlocks him. Adam shoulders him over then poses on the buckles. Adam waistlocks him again. They trade side headlocks. Adam knees him in the gut. KM flips over him in the corner then hits armdrags. KM dropkicks him for 2.

Adam Stalls outside. KM jumps over the top and goes for a sunset bomb outside. Adam holds on though. KM sweeps Adam on the apron. KM top rope moonsaults him outside. KM tries to get in and is dropkicked. Adam 2nd rope deadlift superplexes him in for 2.

Adam hits mounted punches then slaps him around. KM hits punches and Adam back elbows him.
KM escapes a suplex then hits shots and an enzugiri. Adam boots him out of the corner then 2nd rope blockbusters him for 2. Adam boots him in the gut in the corner. They fight in the buckles. KM springboard hurricanrana's him for 2. A masked wrestler is shown in the stands. They trade shots on their knees then get up and trade.

KM hits chops. Adam is back body dropped. KM hits lariats then samoan drops him. KM hits a standing moonsault senton. Adam goes for another deadlift superplex in but is blocked and enzugiri'd off the ropes. KM does a springboard 450 and Adam gets his knees up. Adam spinebusters him for 2.

KM is flipped then he hits a snap dragon suplex. Adam then lariats him. KM hits a sitout reverse slam and pins him.

Thoughts
: It got a lot of time. It wasn't great but they had the format for a good match and didn't do that bad. I think it could have been a little shorter and a little sped up at times. Kevin's not that bad for being a virtual unknown.

Adam does a promo after. He said he flew 10 hours to India and said the fans turned against him. He asks if it's because he's good looking and in good shape. He says Kevin got lucky. He says he'll be back and says it isn't over.

Jinder Mahal/Raj The Maharaja comes out. Raj says this is WXM, India's home promotion. He says we will see the best international talent and homegrown Indian talent here. He asks who is excited. He then is interrupted by Sha Samurels.

Sha says the people don't care about Raj. Raj says the people think Sha sucks. Sha says the people came to see him. Sha says he comes from a proper city and country - London, England. Sha comes in the ring. He says Raj talks a big game. He says Raj won't take WXM to the top, it'll be Sha's company.

Raj says we don't have to wait until the main and can do this right now. Sha says, "no". He says he's not dressed to fight but will see him in the main event. Sha teases leaving then hits Raj from behind. Sha then leaves. Raj says he will see him in the main event.

Overall thoughts:
They promised us multiple matches here but only gave us one. They then promised another match for the next show. Promising matches that won't happen especially on your first show isn't a good thing. Other than that, I had no issues with this. The production values are excellent and it looks like a big time promotion. The one match we got was fine and got a lot of time. The Raj/Sha segment was acceptable as well. This was an okay 27 minute show but nothing must see.

WWE Monday Night Raw 9/29/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-monday-night-raw-9222025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-monday-night-raw-1062025.html

We are in Raleigh, NC. Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

Rhea Ripley comes out to talk. She brings up Asuka and Kairi Sane. She said she hoped they could settle things in the ring. She says what they did to Iyo crossed the line. She says they will settle things in the ring and challenges The Kabuki Warriors to come and get her.

Iyo Sky comes out. She says it breaks her heart to say this but Rhea was right about Asuka and Sane. She says they are her family though and she still loves them.

Asuka and Sane appear on the tron. Asuka says she taught Iyo all she knows and it's up to her what happens next. She says she mentored her and now she acts like none of it matters. She says Iyo acts like Rhea is her family when she's not. Asuka says she made her who she is. She says she will forgive her because she loves her but says she has to apologize. Asuka says Sane and Iyo are her students. She says it's too late for Rhea.

Rhea says Asuka can go to hell. She says Iyo can't go back to them after what they did. Iyo says she's sorry and she needs time. Sane and Asuka jump Iyo from behind. Iyo watches and is torn on what to do. She runs in the ring and pulls Asuka off. Sane tries to play peacemaker. Asuka then blue mists Iyo in the eyes. Rhea takes down Asuka and punches her. Rhea headbutts Sane then Rhea is sent into the post shoulder first. Rhea takes a uraken from Asuka then Sane top rope elbow drops Rhea. Officials then come to break it up.

Thoughts: Like last week, I thought there was a lot more to this story before we got to this stage but it has happened and now it is too late.

WWE Intercontinental Title - Dominik Mysterio (c) vs Rusev

Dom has JD and Finn with him. Rusev throws him off a waistlock. Dom makes Rusev chase him then stomps and pounds on him. Rusev splashes Dom on the ropes then fallaway slams him. Rusev suplexes him. Rusev is pulled over the top and Dom dropkicks him off the apron. Rusev catches his plancha and fallaway slams him on the commentary table.

We go to break and return. Dom jawbreakers him then flying headscissors him. Dom hits a corner splash. Rusev misses a corner charge and Dom slingshot swantons him for 2. Rusev is tripped into the ropes and then lariats Dom. Rusev is pushed into the steps and Dom 619's him in the gut. Dom then does a regular 619. Dom misses a frogsplash.

Rusev hits a machka kick for 2. Dom slides out and grabs his titles. Rusev throws Dom in. The ref grabs one of the title and Dom hits him with the other. Dom throws Rusev the title and pretends Rusev hits him. The ref doesn't buy it. The ref is trapped in the corner and Dom low blows Rusev. Dom then pins him and grabs him by the tights.

Thoughts
: It was what it was supposed to be and was a decent match. The finish saved Rusev here and was a good way out of a lose-lose situation. The crowd loved Dom's cheating here.

We see LA Knight and Adam Pearce talk. Adam says making him the guest ref at Wrestlepalooza was a bad idea. Adam says tonight isn't about LA and he disagrees. LA says he beat Seth last and wants a title match. The New Day walk in. Woods says Waller is sidelined from Penta's canadian destroyer and Woods says Adam owes him. LA says he's not leaving. Kofi tells him to step aside. LA says put his name next to Seth's and he will drop Kofi with a BFT.

We get a video on Seth vs Cody. Cody talks about leaving WWE and having to make his way back. Seth says he carried the company and had to beg for a Mania match. They talk about their feud from a few years ago and talk about Hell in a Cell for a bit.

Bayley talks to Lyra Valkyria in the back. She's wearing Lyra's shirt and Lyra gets mad. Bayley asks if Lyra wants to come back with her. Lyra says she can help her win like last week and knock her down. Bayley says she has been going through a lot and says Lyra always ends up in the middle of it. Bayley says she doesn't think she can do this without her. Lyra tells her no more second chances and she's on her own.

Bayley vs Raquel Rodriguez

Bay tries a side headlock takeover but can't do it. RR catches Bay's crossbody then shoulders her over. Bay hits mounted corner punches. Bay jawbreakers her then is thrown. RR hits corner spears.

Bay's head is banged off the buckles. RR corner lariats her and hits back elbows. Bay hits forearms. Bay pulls her throat over the ropes then topes her. Bay sliding dropkicks her under the bottom buckle. Bay tries a diving headscissors from the apron but is swung into the rails.

We go to break and return. Bay jumps off the steps at her but is caught. Bay does a twist of fate on the floor. Bay elbow drops her off the top and does a top rope swanton for 2. Bay htis corner spears. Bay is caught off the top and takes a fallaway slam style move. RR elbow drops her off the buckles for 2. Bay stunners her then RR hits a big lariat for 2. Bay figure fours her. Roxanne Perez rakes Bay's eyes to break it. RR facekicks Bay. RR hits a one arm powerbomb and wins.

Thoughts: It was fine with Bay playing the underdog to the bigger Raquel. Bay didn't even lose clean here which saves her son. Bay kept doing Hardy Boyz moves and did a Flair figure four.

Bay is beaten up on after. Lyra Vallkyria comes out to save her. Raquel hits a big lariat on Lyra then Perez does a cartwheel double knee drop on the neck. Bay then attacks Raquel and Perez. Bay sends the heels out. Lyra begs off and Bay helps her up. Bay then celebrates and Lyra is confused.

The Uso's talk in the back. Jimmy says he's ready. He says he needed Jey's help last week and Jey walked away from him and LA. He says he doesn't get it. Jey says helping LA Knight gets them nowhere. He says he cost them the match at Wrestlepalooza. Jey asks why Jimmy helps him. Jey says no help because no one cares. He said he bodied LA Knight and if he did more of it, he might be champ. He says that's something Jimmy doesn't get. Jey says they will go handle business and says to forget LA Knight.

Iyo Sky is covered in blue in the back and is being checked on. Sane comes up to her and Iyo tells her to get way. Sane says they can still be a family and it's not too late. She says to follow her and apologize to Asuka. Iyo tells her to get away and leave her alone. We then see Iyo holding a picture of her with Sane and Asuka.

LA Knight vs Kofi Kingston

They shove each other. LA hits punches. Kofi kicks him. LA hits a neckbreaker off a suplex. LA back elbows him. Kofi armlocks him. LA hits punches then Kofi knees him in the gut. Kofi top wristlocks him.

LA yanks on his arm then short arm clotheslines him. LA takes a stun gun. Kofi is back body dropped out. Kofi's head is banged off the rails. LA is then sent into the post. Kofi jumps on him off the apron.

We go to break and return. Kofi headbutts him and LA hits punches. Kofi trips him. Kofi top rope chops him for 2. LA hits punches. Kofi slides out and is sent into the rails. Kofi is really out of it. LA hits a slingshot shoulderblock. LA jumping neckbreakers Kofi. LA goes up on the buckles and lariats Woods off the apron. Kofi gets a 2 count on him. LA hits a BFT soon after and wins.

Thoughts
: It was so-so. I think Kofi took a knee to the head when sliding out and he didn't look right for the rest of the match. They should have just ended it there. Wade also raised attention to it which made it harder to focus on the match.

Tozawa and Maxxine Dupri talk in the back. Becky Lynch comes up to them. She calls Max a loser and says she hasn't beaten anyone recently. Max says she went to Adam's office hoping to get a match with Becky. She calls her great and Becky agrees. She says Becky beat everyone except AJ Lee. Tozawa laughs and Becky drops him with a shot. Becky bangs Max's head off a table and pounds on her. Officials then break it up.

Becky then runs into Seth and they talk. Seth doesn't want her to come out with him.

Seth Rollins comes out to talk. The crowd chants for Punk, Roman and Seth. He says his matches with Cody are in the past. He says Crown Jewel is what matters. He says the winner of it may decide the next 10-20 years of the industry. He says he doesn't get why the people want Cody to win. He asks if the fans lost their minds. Seth says he did it all for this company but still the crowd chants for Cody.

Cody Rhodes comes out. He says the future of the industry seems a bit much. Cody says the fans have all the control of that. He says The Bron's showed up on SD, which isn't their show. He says he thinks Heyman sent them. Cody asks who is in control of Seth's group. Seth says everything goes through him. Cody asks if he let Heyman announce Brock Lesnar. Seth says every decision runs through him and the crowd chants, "no it doesn't".

Cody asks where they will be in 20 years. Cody says he thought Seth was his friend. Seth says it was never friendship and a means to an end. He says Cody was the lesser of two evils. He says everything that happened before them is dead at Crown Jewel. He says he will write a new future after and says he will write the vision after.

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky talk in the back. Rhea asks if she's okay. Iyo says no and says Rhea was right about Asuka. Iyo says it'll be her and Rhea vs The Kabuki Warriors at Crown Jewel. Rhea asks if she's sure she's up for this. Rhea says she wants to know if she can trust her and Iyo says yes. Iyo says she can't go back to Sane and Asuka.

Dragon Lee talks before his match with AJ in the ring. He says his name and says it's an honor to share the ring with AJ. He says he became the #1 contender to the AAA Title. He says that means he's coming for Dominik Mysterio. AJ says maybe they can go after titles and he hopes Lee kicks Dom's head in. AJ says thanks to the fans he has a Crown Jewel match. He says he gets to do something he loves - beating up John Cena. He says they will kick the Americano's @ss tonight.

AJ Styles and Dragon Lee vs Los Americano (Bravo and Ryo)

Ryo is in the red and Bravo is in the blue. These are new names as IIRC, one of them was named Dos Americano previously.

Bravo hits punches on Lee. Lee blocks his sunset flip with a double stomp. Lee is pulled crotch first into the post and takes a double basement dropkick.

We go to break and return. Lee is hit with a double flying headbutt. Lee boots Ryo out of the corner and rebound germans him. Bravo la magistral's Lee for 2. Bravo's top rope hurricanrana is blocked. Lee tries a top rope double stomp but mostly misses and lands weird.

AJ gets in and hits hard lariats on Ryo. He hits a hard lariat on Bravo and sliding lariats Ryo. AJ goes for a springboard and El Grande Americano pushes him over. AJ takes a double superkick. Lee flying pumping knees Ryo. Bravo superkicks Lee. AJ pele kicks Bravo then plancha's Grande outside.

AJ springboard forearms Ryo. Bravo is popped up and caught with a styles clash. AJ then pins him.

Thoughts: I didn't like Los Americano losing on their debut. It just gets them off to a bad start. Los Americano weren't too impressive here but it was their first time out and it's not the finished product. I liked the finish of Bravo being popped up into a styles clash.

Stephanie Vaquer is interviewed. She says she's ready for anyone and says she's excited to face Tiffany Stratton. She says she will become Crown Jewel champ. Tiff walks in. She says she respects her and has been proving herself. She says SV has been a great champ but says she's wrong if she thinks she will let her change her story. She says it is and will always be Tiffy Time. SV says her time will be over and Tiff says she needs to get used to coming in second.

The Vision talk in the back. Seth is just staring at the floor. Seth says he has to beat Cody. Paul tries to hype him up and Seth says he has to beat him.

Tornado Tag Match - The Uso's (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs The Vision (Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker)

Jey suicide dives the heels as they enter. Reed is pushed into the post. Bron knees Jimmy in the gut and hits corner spears. Jimmy goes up and over Bron, superkicks him and uppercuts him. Jey flying forearms Bron in the corner. Reed takes shots from The Uso's.

The Uso's hit stereo corner hip attacks. Bron is double lariated over the top. Bron lariats Jey and hits mounted shots. Bron is knocked off the apron with a kick to the back of the head. Jey goes for a tope and Reed forearms him. Reed sends Jey into the steps.

Reed headbutts Jimmy in the chest. Jimmy superkicks Reed off the commentary table. Bron runs the rail and flying lariats Jimmy through the commentary table. We go to break and return.

Jey fights off the heels. Reed elbow drops Jey's back. Jey kicks the heels out of the corner. Reed catches Jey off the 2nd rope then hits a world's strongest slam. Bron running lariats Jey. Jey takes an electric chair bulldog. Reed is pushed off the top onto the ropes by Jimmy. Jimmy superkicks Bron then pop-up samoan drops him.

Reed death valley drivers Jimmy. Bron spears Jey. Roman Reigns comes out. He back body drops Bron over the top. Roman hits Reed with a chair and sends him out. Reed chairs him outside. Bron is hit with the chair. Jey superkicks and spears Bron. The Uso's hit a double stereo splash off the top on Bron and pin him.

Thoughts: We've seen this match a couple of times already and it was pretty similar to what we've been getting. Just Roman got involved this time. It was fine but I was surprised Seth didn't help out.

Roman chairs Bron after and sends him out. Roman then hypes up Jey after.

Overall thoughts: It was a better show than we have been getting with the Bayley/Lyra and Rhea/Iyo/Kabuki Warriors stories advancing each week and giving you a reason to care. We are still stuck in the Vision/Uso's feud though which has no end in sight and is virtually the same thing every time out. Roman also returned here, but he's been gone and returning so often lately that it means less and less each time. I'd give this show a 6 out of 10 as the wrestling was good and the women's storylines are holding the fort down.

WWE LFG 9/28/2025 Season 2, Episode 14

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-lfg-9212025-season-2-episode-13.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-lfg-1052025-season-2-episode-15.html

We get some previews for tonight's matches.

We see BJ Ray get put through a table last week. Taker says it was bogus. Bubba tells everyone in the back to follow that.

Shawn Michaels talks to the wrestlers. He says he deemed BJ being put through a table as "The Drake Morreaux Screwjob". Drake says he's p!ssed off and he wants to let it loose. Bubba says Drake was lost. He said he started to see everything come together with Drake and he wants to bring his personality out of him.

Penina faces Zena and Dani faces Sirena tonight. Drake faces Harlem and Shiloh faces Anthony. They gave Drake a point for last week's stuff with BJ which is nonsense.

McCool tells Anthony Luke to show everyone who "Showtime" is and to lock in.

Shiloh Hill and Anthony Luke talk trash to each other in the ring as the coaches watch. Hill then screams at him.

Anthony Luke vs Shiloh Hill

This is in front of a real crowd. McCool and Taker are on the riser for this.

Luke shuffles around and side headlocks him. Luke back elbows him in the gut and hits a corner spear. Hill hits his own corner spears. Hill headbutts him then low shoulderblocks him. Luke leg drops him on the apron which is Taker's move. Hill's head is banged off the apron. He tiger feints under the bottom rope into a lariat on Luke.

Luke facekicks him as he re-enters. Luke catapults him into the bottom rope for 2. Luke stomps him and gets a 2 count. Luke goes for a running boot and takes a spinning powerslam. They trade shots then hockey fight. Hill lariats him then spinning neckbreakers him. Hill running back elbows him for 2.

Hill side headlock takeovers him then backdrop lifts him into a neckbreaker for the win.

Thoughts: It was an okay match here. The crowd was hot (though they were probably told to fake it). It was fast paced, hard hitting the and the two matched up well. It was a safer match though despite that.

Taker hugs both guys in the back and cheers. He says he's usually reserved but needed them to see how important that match was. Taker says these are the nights you remember and Hill says it was so cool. He says these guys are on their way and he's happy he got to be part of it.

The coaches judge them after. McCool picks Luke. Booker says he wants to see Luke get to the next level but his vote goes to Hill. Bubba says it was 50-50 but he picks Hill. Taker says he's proud of both but he picks Hill.

Luke says he thought this was the competition to find the best wrestler but clearly it's not, so call him when you need him. He says Hill will be a big star and so will he. He says we will see him again. Hill says it means a lot to move on.

Thoughts: Tonight was one of Luke's better bouts. I always find Luke to be one of the harder guys to judge. I don't know if he just doesn't get those matches where the spotlight is on him or if he's just not good enough to capture it. He doesn't really botch or do anything wrong but I feel like the show just doesn't capture him at his best. I would be okay with him staying another season on this show.

We get a face off between Zena and Penina. They talk trash and Penina calls Bubba her daddy. Penina says she's the new frontrunner and will take her to the finals in a bodybag so she can watch her.

Zena Sterling vs Penina Tuilaepa

This is not in front of a real crowd.

They stare down and trade forearms. They roll on the ropes with the lock up then go to the mat with it. Zena takes her down then hits mounted shots. PT then gets some in. They do a bad transition spot to a pin attempt.

They shoulder each other. Zena dives into her leg and clubs her. Zena slams her and PT rolls out. Zena is sent into the steps. PT forearms her down. PT tries to headbutt her but Zena falls down for no reason. PT then headbutts her down. PT headbutt drops her.

PT stretches her on the ropes and misses a splash. PT's head is banged off the buckles. Zena back elbows her in the corner. Zena  goes up top and top rope crossbodies her for 2. PT hits her from behind then spears her. PT then pins her.

Thoughts: I believe they told Zena to purposely mess this match up here. The judges were ready for it and she just didn't look like herself out there. It's WWE LFG and with all the worked-worked shoots going on, I don't think it's unreasonable to suspect that. The only other explanation is that she got a concussion. Suffice to say, this wasn't good.

PT says Zena was nervous.

The coaches then pick a winner between Zena and Penina. Bubba says when a team plays The Yankees, they wrestle better. He says the girls do that when they wrestle Zena and he picks her. McCool picks Penina. Booker picks Penina. Taker says no one stood out but he's picking Penina.

Zena thanks everyone and says she has more to prove but she knows her potential. Zena says her heart sank and she felt frustrated. She says it was hard to prove what she was capable of and says it's a good thing she's going home. She says it will light the fire under her and show the legends they made the wrong call.

Penina says she will make the legends happy and thanks them. She says she worked hard for this on the off-season and decided to try and win this.

Sirena Linton and Dani Sekelsky talk to each other while the coaches watch. Sirena says it's not Disney but WWE. Dani says a pretty blonde who knows what she has going on works in Disney and here. They talk more trash and Dani leaves.

Sirena Linton vs Dani Sekelsky

This is not in front of a real crowd.

SL backs her up in the corner and boots her there. Dani hits a corner spear then misses a dropkick. SL butt drops her in the gut. SL chinlocks her. SL headbutts her in the chest. Dani throws her down backwards. Dani goes for a splash but SL gets her knees up.

SL foot chokes her in the corner then pendulum bronco busters her. SL does a grounded cobra twist. Dani jawbreakers her and back elbows her. Dani hits lariats then shoulders her over. SL trips her in the corner and tries to pin her using the ropes. Dani rolls her up for 2 while using the tights.

Dani misses a splash and SL lariats her from behind. SL misses a 450. Dani does hell's gate on her and taps her out.

Thoughts
: It wasn't that good. Sirena had most of the offense and that limited things. Dani also did a lot of selling here. I didn't like the finish that much either.

We go to the coaches. Booker picks Sirena as he says she grew more. Mccool says both have grown but she's picking Dani. Taker picks Dani. Bubba says all that mattered is what you did tonight and picks Dani. Sirena is eliminated.

Sirena says she's grateful and blessed. She says she knows who the true champ is and says she's undeniable.

Dani says Bubba said they have confidence in her as she doesn't have it. Dani says she found herself.

Thoughts
: Dani obviously needed to move ahead here but it's LFG and you never know. Dani had some great showings this year and looks like she has a lot of potential. Sirena is trying but she's not that great in the ring and she doesn't move that well.

Drake Morreaux and Harlem Lewis talk to each other in the ring while the coaches talk. Lewis says he doesn't know much about him but he needed 3 chances to win and relied on handouts. Drake says he was given the opportunity and will take it. He says he will dog walk him and will send him home.

Drake Morreaux vs Harlem Lewis

HL armlocks him. DM works the arm and armlocks him. DM forearms him and hits euros. HL's hear is banged off the buckles. DM side slams him then splashes him for 2. DM armlocks him. DM takes a running boot then facekicks him. HL backrolls him into the buckles. HL stomps him. HL bridging neckbreakers him on the floor.

We go to break and return. HL misses an elbow drop. DM hits punches nad back elbows him. DM hits lariats then atomic drops him. DM running facekicks him. DM spinning forearms him. DM hits a chokeslam and pins him.

Thoughts: It got better in the 2nd half then Drake got more offense in. It wasn't quite as good as I had hoped it would be. DM was mostly his usual self here though. It was so-so.

We go to the judges. Bubba picks Drake. Taker picks Drake. Booker picks Harlem. McCool picks Harlem. We are tied. Booker says Drake did a hell of a job. He asks how much did Harlem help him. Taker asks what kind of question that was.

Booker gets fired up and starts yelling. Bubba asks Harlem how he helped Drake. Harlem says he won't answer. Booker says no one is changing their vote. They say Shawn Michaels will have to be the deciding vote. The show then ends.

We see some clips for next week's show. Shawn is going to make Harlem and Drake wrestle again.

Thoughts: I think Drake has kind of grown as much as he can on this show and should be moved up to see if he sinks or swims. Harlem has as a bunch of potential and I think it would help him to win. I'd pick Harlem. Harlem is already booked for an upcoming NOAH show as well.

Overall thoughts: We had 4 matches here. Hill/Luke was the best match on here. I personally believe they told Zena to throw the match tonight and screw up on purpose. Dani/Sirena wasn't that good. Drake/Harlem was so-so. We had the usual worked-worked shoots here and we already know what's in store for this week. There was nothing that great on this one. I thought it was just average and I wouldn't recommend seeing this.

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wow-women-of-wrestling-1042025-season-6.html

We see clips of a #1 Contender's Match between Miami's Sweet Heat vs Tormenta and Princess Aussie. We then see clips of The Carlson's hitting each other on a failed run-in during a Swag/Pink vs Aussie/Tormenta match.

We see The Fab Four trying to turn Miami's Sweet Heat against each other. We then see Lindsay Carlson vs Laurie Carlson from 5/24/2025.

We see a new Miami's Sweet Heat interview with Nigel. Lindsay says when they were ready to chair each other, they knew Pink, Lana and Swag were the problems. Laurie says the match should have never happened to begin with and they are unstoppable together. Nigel asks if it's the end of The Fab Four. Lindsay says of course it is as they betrayed them. Lindsay says they can't go back to them. Lindsay says it'll be fair and square in the cage and they can't hide from them.

Sylvia Sanchez vs Chantilly Chella

I believe this was taped for the 7/5/25 episode but never aired as they showed the graphic for another match from that episode.

SS boots her then CC backrolls her. CC tries another pin attempt then takes her over. CC goes over her using the 2nd rope then diving armdrags her. CC dropkicks her then euros her in the corner.  CC is pulled down from the buckles then SS chokes her on the ropes with her leg.

SS sentons her for 2. SS armlocks her then knees her in the gut. SS corner splashes her then CC splashes her back. SS facekicks her for 1. SS straightjacket chokes her. SS throws her down then chops her in the corner. SS hits a corner spear then bangs her head off the buckles. CC facekicks her.

CC slingshots over then CC hits lariats. CC spin kicks her then legsweeps her. CC meteora's her for 2. CC running knees her in the corner then tornado ddt's her for 2. SS powerslams her and wins.

Thoughts: Sanchez rarely ever wins and I was surprised to see get the W here. I'd say this was an upset. It was a shorter match and nothing was wrong with it. I was alright with this one.

Next week has the steel cage match between Miami's Sweet Heat and Pink/Swag.

We then see - WOW Tag Titles - Penelope Pink and Holly Swag vs Miami's Sweet Heat (Lindsay and Laurie Carlson) from 6/14/24

Overall thoughts: There was only one new match here. It was short and acceptable but not much else. Other than that, it was all highlights and recaps from the Miami's Sweet Heat vs Pink/Swag feud. There's nothing you really need to see here as it was almost all recaps and I wouldn't recommend it.

MLW 9/27/2025 Fury Road '25

MLW 9/27/2025 Fury Road '25

The last show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/mlw-9132025-fightland-2025.html

We are in Dallas, Texas. Joe Dombrowski and Tom Lawler on commentary.

We get clips from the last show. Jesus Rodgriguez/Ricardo Rodriguez comes out and introduces Cesar Duran and Salina de la Renta. He says the fans sold the show out. He says they love MLW and MLW loves them. He says while another company shipped off their big show to Saudi Arabia, they came here to Texas. He tries to get a chant for Don Gato going, saying he brought his tequila here. He says you won't want any other tequila once you taste it. Salina says at MLW, they don't play soft or safe, we choose violence.

Atlantis Sr., Blue Panther & Diego Hill vs. Galeon Fantasma (Barboza, Difunto & Zandokan Jr.)

Blue's got his mask on here. He and Dif lock up. Blue takes him down and they stand off as Dif goes for the wristlock. Blue wristlock takedowns him into a headscissors. Dif ties his legs up. Dif top wristlock takedowns him then hammerlocks him. Barb breaks up Blue's submission with a boot.

Dif chops him in the corner then Blue chops him up. Barb chops Hill then Hill chops back. Barb rolls over his back, flips him then armdrag rolls him into a pin attempt. They do more pin attempts and stand off.

Hill flying headscissors Barb then superkicks Zand. Hill is pulled outside and bridged on the apron for a double stomp from Dif. All 6 men fight. Dif pounds on Atlantis' chest. Atlantis takes corner attacks. Barb top rope dropkicks Atlantis.

Blue is triple pounded on then takes corner attacks. Blue is held in the air for a top rope Dif double stomp. Hill takes a double back elbow. Hill then takes a triple gorilla press slam for 2. Dif boots Hill. Atlantis is then triple stomped on.

Atlantis is held for chops then he forearms the heels down. The faces get the edge on the heels and Atlantis chases Zand into the crowd. Atlantis punches Zand in the crowd then sends him into the rails. Hill sends Dif into the rails. Dif shoulders Hill over. Hill kips up. Hill flips over him as he drops down and Hill hits armdrags.

Hill double stomps Dif's back. Blue ducks a double lariat then flying headscissors Dif. Blue 2nd rope diving headscissors Zand. Atlantis tries to shake hands with Zand but is hit. Atlantis crossbodies him. and hits his partners on accident. Zand then is hit on accident. Atlantis hits a double japanese armdrag then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Hill tope con hilos Dif outside. Atlantis hurricanrana's Zand and pins him.

Thoughts
: It was an okay match here. They went into the crowd, we got a dive and Blue did pretty good for his age. Atlantis didn't do a lot here. Hill looked alright with his flying and didn't look out of place at all.

Blue takes his mask off after, likely because he was hot.

We see a party for Don Gato in the back. Salina says MLW and Gato will link up on 11/20 where they will have the Opera Cup finals. She says there will be a 2 story video screen there. Cesar is hesistant but then supports the idea and says they will drink Don Gato tequila. Ikuro Kwon comes in and Jesus tells him it's a lucha only party. He tells him to leave. Kwon green mists him. Don Gato comes up to Kwon. Kwon tells him he'll be in Charleston on 11/20. He says if Gato shows up, he came to get dragged by the dragon. Gato then stares him down.

Opera Cup 2025 First Round Match - Paul London vs. Okumura

Satoshi Kojima comes on commentary and eats bagels. Kojima mostly talks about bread and says, "I don't understand" anytime he is asked questions.

PL and Oku trade waistlocks. Oku side headlocks him and they fight over a top wristlock. Oku trips him then is armdragged. Oku side headlocks him. PL spinning heel kicks him. PL dropkicks him through the ropes.

PL top rope crossbodies him. PL kicks him in the chest. Oku exploders him. Oku flying lariats him for 2. Paul misses a move off the top. Oku michinoku drivers him for 2. Kojima says, "I love michinoku driver".

Oku and PL trade chops. Oku eye rakes him then PL superkicks him. Oku spin kicks him in the gut then does a pin attempt for 2. PL face rakes him and Kojima complains. PL sharpshooters him and Oku submits.

Thoughts: This was too short to be much here. I think the finish was botched as well. Kojima was funny on commentary talking about bread.

Paul is interviewed after. He is asked about Paul Walter Hauser. Paul tells him to take about the win instead. Paul tells him to run to Meltzer and tell him that BS. Paul is asked what's next. Paul says it doesn't matter, it's about going forward. He says it might be his last run and he's here to make it count. He says he didn't come here to play nice but to win.

Mr. Thomas is in the back. He says the only thing standing between him and MLW gold is Kojima. He says he's on his way to bigger and better things. He says he has something to prove to him - when Mr. Thomas wants something, he takes it by any means necessary.

Opera Cup 2025 First Round Match - Volador Jr. vs. Titan

Vol kicks away a handshake. They trade waistlocks. Vol surfboards him. Titan rides his back and leglocks him. Vol armbars him then Titan side headlock takeovers him. Titan does a sharpshooter and Vol ropebreaks.

Vol wristlocks him. Titan bridges, headflips and armdrags out. They try to dropkick each other at the same time, headflip up together and stand off. Titan goes up and over him in the corner and does headflips. Titan 2nd rope headscissors him from behind then shotgun dropkicks him out. Vol flying headscissors him then topes him.

Vol unties Titan's mask. Vol corner lariats Titan then Titan flying lariats him in the corner through the ropes. Titan top rope crossbodies him then dropkicks him out. Titan topes him outside. Titan does a death valley driver variation for 2. Vol mostly pulls off Titan's mask.

They trade shots. Titan hits a strike combo and is superkicked. Titan ducks a lariat and jumping kicks him. Vol then suplexes him. Vol pulls Titan down by the mask but he kips up and pele kicks him. Titan tope con hilos him outside.

Titan comes off the top and runs into double boots from Vol for 2. Vol half crabs him. Titan blocks a sunset flip and double stomps him for 2. Titan tornado ddt's him. Vol superkicks him the backcrackers him for 2.

Titan drops him with a kick combo then top rope double stomps him. Titan almost goes into the ref, Vol pulls Titan's mask off and pins him.

Thoughts: The first half was good smooth lucha. The second half kind of had some repetition. The finish wasn't the best but at least the face didn't lose clean here. This was fine.

Alexander Hammerstone talks in the back. He said he believed in wrestling at one point and really tried to elevate this place. He says he did what he did to Mads Krugger as he was supposed to be next. He says Matt Riddle won the title then lost it. He says all of his years of sacrifice got him nothing. He says it's a bunch of politics and lies. He says everyone is afraid to admit he's the best so he's taking things into his own hands. He says it's time everyone remembers who the f*cking alpha is.

We see a Don Gato commercial with him dancing in the field with girls in masks. A guy is jealous of him and talks about what a great time he seems ot be having.

St. Laurent is on a phone in the back. Contra Unit then appears. Mads Krugger pushes him into a door. Mads says he will dismantle The Skyscrapers brick by brick. He's hard to understand then says, "Hail Contra".

Shotzi Blackheart vs. Alejandra Quintanilla

They shake hands. SB rolls out of a wristlock and reverses it. SB side headlock takeovers her. SD shoulders her over and Ale kips up.  SB chops her down then elbow drops her for 2. SB legdrops her in the gut. Ale corner lariats her then corner meteora's her.

SB side headlock takeovers her then does a grounded octopus. SB spinning forearms her in the chest. SB cravates her and hits knees to the face. SB rolling snapmares her then does another grounded octopus. Ale ropebreaks.

Ale boots her then does a slingblade bulldog. Ale pump kicks her in the side of the head for 2. SB neckbreakers her for 2. SB suplexes her into the buckles. Ale hook kicks her then 619's her. Ale takes an iconoclasm.

SB drops her from the buckles then top rope sentons her to win.

Thoughts: It was short and simple. Everyone hit their moves but there wasn't much else to it. Nobody embarrassed themselves though and it went okay.

The Skyscrapers do a promo. Dijak says they will make Krugger pay for attacking their manager St. Laurent. Bishop Dyer says Krugger started something he won't be able to finish. Dyer says he's playing for keeps and says he will be lucky to escape with his head attached to his body.

Lightning Match - Satoshi Kojima vs. Mr. Thomas

Thomas hits Koji during his entrance from behind. Thomas sends him into the post. Thomas hits a black hole slam for 2. Thomas forearms Koji down for 2. Thomas chops him in the corner. Thomas misses a corner charge and takes machine gun chops.

Koji flying forearms him in the corner and 2nd rope elbow drops him for 2. Koji spinning forearms him then ddt's him. Thomas release suplexes him for 2. Thomas short arm lariats him then hits a big splash for 2.

Thomas takes off a turnbuckle pad. Thomas goes into the exposed buckle when Kojima moves. Koji hits a koji cutter for 1. Koji running lariats Thomas and wins.

Thoughts: Thomas went a little easy here and didn't fully connect but I liked what we got. It was short and sweet with no real lack of action. They had some nice transitions here and the two worked pretty well together.

Austin Aries gets on the mic before his match. He says he can see the surprise on the fans faces. He says didn't he go away and wasn't he cancelled? He says he didn't come back because he needed to, but because wrestling needed him to. He says he's not going to watch this sport get watered down with pretenders. He says the fans don't know what a wrestler looks like anymore or what the magic and art feels like. He says there's no better place to start than winning The Opera Cup. He says he's here to show you the truth and says he's the last real magician of pro wrestling.

Opera Cup 2025 First Round Match - Austin Aries vs. KUSHIDA

AA leg kicks him and they do some mat wrestling. They get up and Kush double knuckle locks him down. AA bridges and side headlocks him. Kush wristlocks him. AA fireman's carry takeovers him and knee drops his arm.

Kush hammerlocks him and AA ropebreaks. Kush rolls at him, AA lays on the top rope then Kush lays down and stares at him. Kush shoulders him over. Kush does a hiptoss and cartwheel but AA blocks his basement dropkick. AA side headlocks him. AA armdrags him into an armlock. Kush headscissors him, AA handstands out and Kush block his basement dropkick.

Kush gives him in the finger and they shove each other. Kush's head is banged off the buckles and AA knee chokes him in the corner. AA slingshot swantons him for 2. AA rakes Kush's eyes with his feet.

Kush hits kicks to the body and handspring back elbows him. Kush is pulled into the buckles. AA runs into a boot in the corner. Kush kicks AA's arm. Kush stops a brainbuster with a knee to the head. They trade forearms.

Kush spinning forearms him then AA does the same. Kush pele kicks him and both go down. AA comes off the 2nd rope and Kush armbars him. AA ropebreaks. They go on the apron. Kush kicks him in the arm and is pushed into the post. AA neckbreakers him over the 2nd rope. AA then does a tope.

AA tries to get in and is hit with a handspring kick. Kush top rope plancha's him outside then armbars him on the floor. AA does a neck submission on the floor. AA goes up top and is kicked. AA corner dropkicks him then brainbusters him for the win.

Thoughts: It was a decent match. Kush worked the arm and AA worked the neck some before winning with a brainbuster. They moved well and AA did his trademark offense here. I liked what we got.

Aries is in the back and runs into Paul London.  They clap for each other and congratulate each other. Aries says he hopes he took notes. He says it'll be the first time ever between them next week. He tells him to lay off the peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Aries says peanut better leaves your mouth dry. He says he needs water and throws his water in his face. Security then breaks it up.

Mads Krule Krugger vs Bishop Dyer

Dyer says Mads crossed the line and there's no going back from it. He says he took out St. Laurent like the coward punk he is. He says he will stomp the stupid mask of his through the back of his skull. Dijak says Mads is nothing but a coward and a scumbag. He tells him to get down here.

Dijak goes after Mads in the aisle. Mads then is 2v1'd by Dyer and Dijak. Security tries to stop it and gets beaten up for it. Mads is sent into the post. Dyer hits mounted punches on Mads in the ring. Mads is then hit with a double chokeslam. Mads gets up and sends Dijak over the top. He flying lariats Dyer. He fallaway slams Dijak then lariats Dyer over the top.

Thoughts: Sadly we never got a match here. This is building to something but it is disappointing as someone who wanted to see the match.

Mads pushes security on his way to the back. Hammerstone chairs Mads and they fight. Security then tries to break that fight up.

Overall thoughts: I liked the opener. London/Okumura was too short to develop. Volador/Titan had a good first half and an okay match overall. Shotzi/Alejandra was kept short and it didn't expose anyone. Kojima/Thomas was a fun match. Aries/Kushida was a decent match and sadly, we never really got the main event which isn't acceptable. It was a good show overall and I'd give this a 6 out of 10. They had a nice line-up of stars here.

WWE NXT No Mercy 2025 9/27/2025

JB is pulled over the top and he catches Evan's tope. He throws him into the ropes outside and forearms him. JB running lariats him for 2. JB goes to go up top and Evans says, "hell no". He shoves JB and slaps him. Evans hits a flying knee. Evans is lifted for a hcokeslam but hits a cutter. Evans then double jump cutters him and wins.

Thoughts:
It was an okay match here with JB mostly working the lower back. He was stiff and hit some nice lariats here. Evans was a good face and did his usual flying. This was fine and both did well.

JP argues with Zaria outside and piefaces her. Lash Legend shows up, tries to hit JP but goes into Zar and Zar spears her. JP gets in and Sol hits a sol snatcher on JP to win.

Thoughts
: Naturally, it was a shorter one and it's hard to say a lot more. JP and Lash had been feuding so Lash coming out makes sense. At least JP didn't lose this one clean.

We get a new WWE Evolve ad. Aaron Rourke and Marcus Mathers talk. AR says they are more alike than you think. AR says they come from the same indy promotions and they say they always thought the other is cool. MM says they wrestled together and knew they had something going. Thoughts
: The haircut spot was the highlight of this one. I liked it and thought they did a good job making this different by using some unique weapons here. They both took some hard shots and bumps. I also thought they showed good aggression here. This was a good match.

Ava talks from her office. She says the relationship between TNA and NXT has been fractured. She says her and Santino came up with a solution. She says on 10/7, we will get an event called Invasion. She says they will compete in 2 Survivor Series matches (men's and women's). She says there will also be a Hardy Boyz vs Dark State title for title match. She says everyone will be barred from ringside and there has to be a winner.

Thoughts: While it is a nice card, they should have given it more time to develop as it's a big storyline and needs to be done right. WWE already messed up one Invasion angle...

Lash Legend comes out to talk. She says she knows what we are thinking. She says Zaria's spear was worth it as it cost Jaida Parker the win. She says TNA thinks they are big and bad and says to come find out. She says they will get total nonstop action on 10/7. She says she should be the leader of the women's team. Tav hits punches then lariats him twice. Tav running facekicks him and pulls him down backwards. Tav ankle locks him. Page cradles him then Tav rolls him up for 2. Tav backslides him. Page high kicks him then hits an ego's edge for 2. Page crabs him.

Tav sleepers him on the 2nd rope and Page turns it into a 2nd rope powerslam. Page hold son and hits a cutter to win.

Thoughts: It was a more brief match here. Page worked the back for a bit, Tav made his comeback and was put down after. It was acceptable but nothing great. It needed a better finishing stretch.

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr appears on the tron after. He says Page thinks he should be AAA Latin American champ. Hijo says he has eyes on his North American Title and will see him soon.

Myles Borne is interviewed. He says it feels good to put Lexis King in the rear view. He says the feud helped him unlock some things inside of him. He offers to be the captain of Team NXT and says if TNA shows up, they will be ready to defend their house.

Mike Santana does an instagram video. He says Trick and NXT have a problem. He says Trick slapped him in the face and ran. He says he's a bendejo. He says the TNA Title is being held hostage but he will do whatever it takes to bring the title back. He says he's not the only one who is p!ssed off. He says he's coming back on Tuesday and isn't coming alone.

We then see a Frankie Kazarian tweet where he says you can count him in for Invasion.

A masked person hits a running knee/boot on Lola. Lola beats the count in. Jacy spinning forearms her when she gets in and wins.

Thoughts: I was pretty sure Lola was winning here and I'm glad she didn't. I thought the match was about average. There just wasn't a great story or a great flow to this. Lola did a little better than usual here and the crowd was really behind her. I just don't think it's the time yet though and I don't think she's the one who should beat Jacy. I suspect the masked girl is Lainey Reid but we will see.

We get a video from Moose. He says the date is set at Invasion. He says if you think Tuesday was total nonstop anarchy, you haven't seen anything yet. Moose says he will prove why he's the face of the franchise, why you always trust the system and why TNA will always be the superior brand.

Oba pops him up and RS ddt's him. RS tornado ddt's him and pins him in a shocker.

Thoughts
: I was surprised to see Ricky win here. It wasn't built up that well and he had been losing steam after coming in hot. I was also surprised it wasn't done at a bigger event. Oba's ready for the main roster and hopefully this was his swan song as there's not much else for him to do here outside of the NXT vs TNA thing. The match was fine with Oba overpowering Ricky and Ricky having to use various comebacks to get offense in. I'm not sure where things go from here with Ricky as champ so we will have to see.

Overall thoughts: The opener was fine. Sol/Jaida was short. I liked the Blake/Grace cage match and thought it was good. Page/Heights was acceptable. Jacy/Lola was average and thankfully Lola did not win. The main was fine but nothing too great and we got a shocker with Ricky getting the upset win. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 total. It was a little above average mostly due to the cage match and not really NXT's best work. I was really surprised the TNA crew didn't show up to cause havoc here.

Wato and Tana walk out together after.

Ryusuke Taguchi, Shoma Kato & Tiger Mask vs. Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) & Toru Yano

Tiger's team attacks first to start. Yano takes a double shoulder. Kato then stomps on him. Kato flying forearms him. Yano takes corner attacks. Kato is whipped into RT's butt then Tiger is put in it by Yano. Togi spanks RT. Honma forearms RT in the butt.

Kato hits another dropkick on him. Togi hits a big lariat on him for 2. Togi crabs Kato and Kato taps out.

Thoughts:
There was a lot of Taguchi shenanigans though Yano didn't even take a turnbuckle pad off. Kato hit a lot of dropkicks here and him and Togi worked alright before the finish. It was a throwaway lowercard match.

Oleg Boltin, Shota Umino & Yuya Uemura vs. House Of Torture (Dick Togo, Don Fale & EVIL)

The heels attack before it starts. Don hits Oleg in the gut inside and they trade chops. Oleg tries shoulderblocks and can't slam him. Don hits him in the gut. Oleg is then sent into the exposed buckle. Don shoulders Oleg over. Don stands on Oleg's back.

Yuya top rope chops Togo then hurricanrana's him after a Shota lariat from behind. Yuya then pins Togo.

Thoughts: It was average here with HoT cheating as usual. The faces did managee to win though.

HoT attack the faces after. Oleg corner splashes Don then shoulders him over.

Taichi, TAKA Michinoku & Tomohiro Ishii vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Gedo, OSKAR & Yuto-Ice)

Thoughts:
I liked the Gedo/Taka eye poke spot. They did a good job of making Oskar look big and bad here. It was a generally forgettable undercard match otherwise though.

The heels stomp on Tai after. Young lions try to break it up. Taka then takes a head kick + running tombstone. Oskar sleepers Tai and Yuto hits a big punch on Ishii. Yuto then basement dropkicks Ishii. Tai gamengiri's Oskar out then lariats Yuto out.

Tai then talks on the mic after.

Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi & Yota Tsuji vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (David Finlay, Gabe Kidd & Taiji Ishimori)

DF = David Finlay, HT = Hiromu Takahashi, TI = Taiji Ishimori

HT mocks the heels' bark. Shingo then leads his own chant for his team.

HT and TI trade forearms to start. TI blocks his flying headscissors. HT hits a corner lariat. TI headscissors HT down then facekickshim. HT runs away from DF then Yota gets in.

Yota side headlocks DF then flying headscissors him. Yota sweeps him on the apron and baseball slides him down to the floor. Yota goes for a tope but Gabe pulls him out. Gabe and Shingo trade outside then Gabe's head is banged off seats. Yota and DF get back in. DF pulls on Yota's face.

TI rakes Yota's face and fist drops him. Yota's head is banged off the buckles. DF boots Yota in the corner. DF double throat thrusts him. Gabe then puts his boot in Yota's face in the corner. Yota pumping knees him then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him.

Shingo and DF go at it. Shingo back body drops him then lariats him over the top. Shingo hits punches and a lariat on Gabe for 2. Gabe shoulders over Shingo then does Shingo's taunt. TI takes corner attacks. Shingo running lariats TI then Hiromu AA's TI for 2. TI pops up HT for a low blow then pins him.

Thoughts: Shingo and Gabe had some good sections here. TI picked up the win via low blow. They kept it moving and tried so this was okay but nothing too great.

Shingo and Gabe talk trash to each other after. Hiromu then grabs the mic and has words for TI.

House Of Torture (Ren Narita, SANADA & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa & Zack Sabre Jr.)

Zach tries to lock up with Yujiro then is hit by Ren. Zack double pele kicks their arms. Oiwa gets in and shoulderd over Yujiro. He armdrags and dropkicks him for 2. Oiwa ddt's Ren. Ren and Zack trade facekicks. Zack running facekicks him over. Zack underhook suplexes him for 2. Ren goes for a hiptoss but him and Zack trade cobra twists. Zack euros him down then Ren does a grounded guillotine choke. Zack pele kicks Ren's arm then Ren exploders him. Ren blocks a PK and twists Zack neck with his feet. Zack then does the same to him.

Hart comes in. He shoulders over opponents and splashes San. Hart corner splashes San then lariats him. Yujiro reverse ddt's Hart. Oiwa suplexes Yujiro. Ren cobra twists Zack and Zack hiptosses out. Zack PK's him. San dropkicks Zack and misse a low blow on Hart. Hart slams San then misses a senton. San misses a top rope moonsault then Hart crossbodies San.

San eye rakes Hart. San pretends Hart hit him with a guitar and sells it. The ref then buys it and DQ's Hart.

Thoughts: It was an okay match with a stupid finish. Zack and Ren worked well together but the finish just sucked. The refs will get grabbed, sometimes hit and even watch heels use weapons and never DQ them but DQ'd Hart here. It's just stupidity though I suppose it keeps up their role of being completely useless.

Ren and Zack fight in the crowd after and young lions try to break it up. Ren chokes Zack with a chair then chairs a chair into him. Ren then flying knees him off the top after to build up their 9/28 match.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Title Match - House Of Torture (DOUKI & SHO) (c) vs. Ichiban Sweet Boys (Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles)

Rob misses a 450 and Douki does a gori special drop on Rob. Sho corner lariats Rob and suplexes him for 2. Rob rolls up Sho for 2. Sho jumping knees him. Sho then hits a straightjacket piledriver for 2.

KF blocks Douki's low blow. KF slaps him then spin kicks him in the face. KF suplex lifts him into a cutter. Douki rolls him up and pulls the tights to win.

Thoughts: It got a lot of time but I just thought it was average. We had some basic heel stuff from the heels here but there wasn't much else going on story wise.

IWGP Junior Heavyweight Title Match - El Desperado (c) vs. YOH

They trade some headlocks to start. Yoh headscissors him. Yoh ropebreaks on a bow and arrow. Yoh fireman's carry takeovers him into an armlock. Despy side headlocks him. Yoh side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Despy slaps him. Despy is pulled over the top. Yoh plancha's him outside.

Despy water wheel drops him then spears him. Despy hits an angel's wings for 1. Despy jay drillers him then hits an angel's wings for the win.

Thoughts: Despy went for the stretch muffler a bit here and I'd say that was the focus of the match. Yoh did mostly avoid it. Sadly, the finish had nothing to do with that. I thought it as an average match. Despy's kick out near the end on the kamigoye was super close and it really did look like a 3.

House of Torture comes out and Douki seems to want the next title shot.  Douki ends up leaving and Despy gets confetti for his win.

Overall thoughts: It was an average show overall. Nothing really stood out here and neither of the two top matches were that good. I maybe liked the TMDK vs HoT trios match best and that was really nothing special. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and wouldn't recommend it.

DG forearm flurries Kyle. Kyle no sells it and they trade forearms. DG guillotines him. Kyle hits a brainbuster. RS beats up The Death Riders outside and hits uranage backbreakers. RS flying leg lariats Mox then olympic slams him.

CC takes a jumping knee + spinning forearm combo. Kyle plancha's out but runs into CC's euro. RS gutbusters Mox then sick kicks him for 2. CC giant swings RS and Mox dropkicks him as he swings.

CC tries to giant swing Kyle but Kyle hits a ddt out of it. Matt is tagged in. He hits shots on DG then pounds on him in the corner. DG tags out and Matt drops Mox with a punch. DG trips Matt from the outside and Mox curbstomps Matt. DG curbstomps Matt and pins him.

Thoughts: I liked it. I would have played up the DG/Menard stuff a bit more and different than they did. It was a fast paced match with tons of strikes.

Brody King does a promo. He says The Don Callis Family made a lot of enemies and mistakes. He says they didn't learn that if you try to kill a man, you better make sure he's dead as they come back to settle the score. He says to get ready for Dynamite.

Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir vs Rachael Ellering and Rosario Grillo

Yuta stomps Grillo. Grillo hits punches back and is backed elbowed. Yuta hits mounted shots. Yuta hits a suplex on Grillo then hits downward elbows. Shafir and Rach get in. Rach hits forearms. Shafir says to do better then front kicks her. Shafir body kicks her down then takes her down. Shafir does mother's milk and Rach is out. Shafir's team wins.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash and not much more.

Yuta gets on the mic after. He throws out Grillo. Yuta says Kris Statlander is only a champ because of him. He says she repaid him by embarrassing him. He says Shafir will make her pay for making the wrong choice. He said they gave Darby chances to see the light but he insists on being a thorn in their side. He says Darby saw dead bodies on Mt. Everest and he will have to put him next to them.

We see a post-Dynamite promo. Adam Page says he owes Samoa Joe and Hobbs. He says he's happy to step in while Shibata is out. He says The Death Riders haven't learned with The Opps. Joe agrees. Joe says he feels like a failure as a teacher as they haven't learned. Joe says he will keep tackling this problem. He says he has a new curriculum of pain that he will introduce them to. He says the lessons they didn't learn, they will learn.

Anthony Bowens and Max Caster vs The Swirl (Lee Johnson and Blake Christian)

That's a horrible team name. Bowens has a World Record that says he's officially amazing.

Max tags himself in by slapping AB's back. AB then does it to him. Max pulls AB out. AB shoves him. They argue and Blake corkscrew dives Max. Lee lariats AB in the ring then hits mounted shots. AB takes a backdrop and a low dropkick for 2. AB suplexes Blake.

Max tags himself in. Max and AB argue. Max is sent into AB. Lee chops Max in the corner. We go to PiP break and return. Blake is thrown into the rails. Max gets the crowd to do his chant. Blake 619's him over the top. Lee monkey flips Blake into a lariat on Max for 2.

Max sends Blake out then facekicks Lee. Max back body drops Lee. Max could have the tag but opts not to. Max and Blake double clothesline each other. AB gets mad about the lack of a tag and tries to walk out. Jerry Lynn intercepts him in the aisle and gets him to go back in. AB tags in. He yells at Max then beats his opponents. AB over the back fameassers Blake. AB spinning reverse rack drops Lee for 2.

Lee superkicks AB then Blake fosbury flops Max. He holds him and Lee splashes Max off the apron. AB takes a handspring enzugiri + brainbuster combo for 2 when Max saves AB. AB superkicks Blake then  does an unusual neckbreaker on the knee on Lee. AB goes for the finish and Max tags himself in. AB is pushed into Max and Max falls off the top. Lee cradles Max for 2.

Max and Lee trade pin attempts. AB forearms Lee and Max rolls up Lee holding the tights to win.

Thoughts: I liked it. The stuff with them feuding and Lynn trying to get them to work together was good storytelling and the heels did what they were supposed to do.

Max and AB fight more after as Lynn tries to raise their hands. Lynn tries to get them to scissor. AB walks out without doing so.

Mother Wayne, Kip Sabian and Nick Wayne talk. Kip says he didn't trust Luchasaurus since day one. Nick says Lucha is gone and it doesn't matter. Nick says his sights have never been more set. He says he looks at Christian Cage as his target. Nick says an average wrestler wouldn't be able to  survive what he went through but he says he's not average. He says he will be Cage's biggest nightmar.e He says he's always one step ahead of him.

We see old school video filters with Tony Schiavone advertising AEW shows in Florida.

Anna Jay and Tay Melo are interviewed. Anna says the new women's tag titles mean so much to them. Tay says they have been fighting for this division since the Jacksonville days. She says they an AEW original tag team. Anna says they will do whatever it takes to win the titles. Tay says they will be the first tag team champs.

Dalton Castle and The Outunners (Turbo Floyd and Truth Magnum) vs KM, Corey Sparks and Cowpoke Paul

DC is returning after a long time out. DC has new boys with him and The Runners are wearing Marlboro themed gear. Poor KM is still bigger than most of the roster yet not signed.

Paul misses a charge and is chopped. Paul takes a backdrop from Turbo. Sparks takes a double hiptoss. DC and KM get in. DC suplexes him. The Runners do a double elbow drop. DC hits a bangarang on KM and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash and not much else. Of course KM got pinned as AEW is "Where The Big Boys Lay". The Runners and DC are a fun team I wouldn't mind seeing more of. I just wish the AEW roster had more people like them.

MJF does a taped video on MJF. He says he told MJF he would pay for his sins at All Out. He says the tacks were worth it to be part of the downfall of MJF. He says he can get back to having fun now. He says The Conglomeration has momentum and while they are funny, they are no joke.

TNT Title - Kyle Fletcher (c) vs Komander

Kom hits shots on him in the corner and rolls him up for 2. Kom is in the electric chair and he sunset flips KF out of it. Kom hits leg kicks and KF slams him. KF hits stomps. KF slams him for 2.

KF misses a corner facekick and is dropkicked off the apron. KF does the valiente special (walk up the ropes blind moonsault). Kom hits a springboard canadian destroyer. Kom top rope 450's him for 2.

Kom rope walk ssp's into a double boot from KF. KF lawn darts him in the corner then running facekicks him. KF brainbusters him and wins.

Thoughts: Just like the last time they did this, it was an indy style match that wasn't good. Kyle is coming off a PPV world title main event yet needs 15 minutes beat Komander, who never wins. They did a canadian destroyer that meant nothing here and Kyle got hurricanrana'd off the apron to the floor. Kyle really didn't even use his size much against him.

Kyle Fletcher does a promo. He says tonight was about re-establishing dominance. He says Hologram can't make it to Wednesday and says what a shame. He says it looks like Holo is scared of him and he says it's fine as he will be TNT champ for a long time. He says he has nobody to face on Dynamite and wants someone to step up who is worthy. We are then told right after that Orange Cassidy will be challenging him.

Tornado Tag Match - Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs Eddie Kingston and Hook.

Bill lariats Eddie for 2.

Eddie dragon screws Bill. BK enzugiri's Eddie. Hook capture suplexes BK. Bill trips Hook and BK rolls up Hook for 2. Eddie uraken's BK and Hook puts red rum on BK to win.

Thoughts: I liked it. It was all action here. Some of the throws on Bill were impressive as well.

Austin Gunn and Juice Robinson are interviewed. Gunn says they took the best tag team to the limit last time. Juice said Jay White called him after and said they need re-enforcement's. Juice says they need someone they trust, someone from their past. Ace Austin comes in and says it was inevitable. The Austin's introduce each other at the same time. Ace says it's not a game of chance when you make your own luck and shows his card. Gunn says if you're not down with that then guns up.

Dynamite will now be a 2.5 hour special this week.

Thoughts: It was acceptable. Jamie got the win here as expected. Hart hit a nice top rope moonsault in this. It didn't get a ton of time. I thought it went by pretty fast.

Skye Blue pounds and stomps on Jamie after. Skye hits mounted shots. Jamie takes a double flatliner and a double superkick. Queen Aminata comes out to help with a belt and the heels run. Jamie gets on the mic and says she's sick of the BS from The Triangle. She says the only way to solve this is Blood and Guts.

Thoughts: AEW fans have been bringing up that there isn't been a female Blood and Guts match so it looks like that is finally changing.

Overall thoughts: I liked almost all of this show except for Kyle's match and the squash. We also actually got some storyline happenings here with Jamie asking for a female Blood and Guts and Ace Austin joining The Bang Bang Gang. There was nothing truly must see here though and you could skip it without missing too much. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 overall as the wrestling was solid enough all night.
