WWE LFG 10/5/2025 Season 2, Episode 15
Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-lfg-9282025-season-2-episode-14.html
We are at the Performance Center.
Harlem Lewis says he thrives in high pressure situations. Shawn Michaels says Harlem and Drake are tied in votes. Shawn says he has to make the final decision and says they need to wrestle like their careers depend on it tonight, because it does.
Harlem Lewis vs Drake Morreaux.
This is in front of a real crowd.
They grab and club on each other to start. DM shoulders him over. He hits a corner lariat, a short arm lariat then a splash for 1. SM and Prince Albert are watching in the gorilla position. DM sends him out of the ring with a nice dropkick. DM is rammed into the commentary table and the apron edge. HL suplexes him on the floor.
HL running boots him for 2. DM 2nd rope elbow drops his neck for 2. DM hits punches and lariats him several times. DM runs into a back elbow. HL comes off the 2nd rope and is hit with a boot in mid-air. DM chokeslams him for 2. HL back body drops him. HL jackhammers him and pins him.
Thoughts: It was a nice little hoss match. There wasn't much but hard hits, slams and lariats here and that was totally fine. I had no issues with this and I liked it.
Shawn shakes both guys hands after and says awesome job. Shawn says both need a lot of work but both have the size, charisma and energy they need. He says if he was plugging one of them in immediately to NXT, he's picking Harlem.
Drake says he's disappointed but he knows who he is and who he needs to be. Shawn says the journey isn't over until it's over.
Thoughts: With Harlem getting a NOAH visit, it seemed obvious he was going to be picked here. I think Harlem has more potential as Drake currently strikes me as a midcard type of guy.
Harlem says he's relieved to be picked. He said he felt bad for Drake but being in the finals is what this all comes down to. Harlem then passes by Shiloh and makes a face at him.
We see Booker T at the Reality of Wrestling arena. He brings Harlem Lewis with him and shows him his office. Booker says it's all about checks and championships. He says it's about showing everyone how good you are and telling suckas to "follow that". Harlem says he wants a mancave like this someday with his titles and pictures.
Shiloh says he feels confident going in but the finals determine whether this season was worth it or not. Harlem says this match was meant to happen.
Dani arrives at the ROW arena. She says the odds were stacked against her and she wants to show she was never the underdog. Penina says she feels like she earned it and is the one to beat. She says it's not how you start but how you finish. She says she's about to get that contract.
We are at the 713 Music Hall in Houston. Bubba says it's a big deal and a way to move forward. Penina says this is her livelihood and she has nerves. She says she feels the pressure. Undertaker says they are at the end of the road. He's happy to have 2 of his team in there. He says his crew won't leave anything in the ring tonight. Taker tells Dani to stay aggressive.
Dani said she was always nervous cheerleading but she could control it. She says she hasn't learned how to control this yet. She says her family will be at ringside and it's a great feeling.
Shiloh says the whole season has been about getting to the finals. Harlem says he gets you have to work together but the goal is to win the contract and Shiloh won't stop him. McCool says this is what they all worked for.
Season 2 LFG Finals - Dani Sekelsky vs Penina Tuilaepa
Dani has a white pom-pom with her and standing backflips in the ring. PT comes out with a bone necklace. Penina's family is here.
They lock up. PT swings her down hard off the lock up. Dani waistlocks her then PT shoulders her over. Dani dropkicks her twice and is rammed into the corner. Dani is on the 2nd rope and diving shoulders her.
PT goes out and Dani baseball slides her. Dani's crossbody is caught outside and she is slammed on the apron. Dani is then pulled down hard to the floor. Dani's back is rammed into the apron edge.
PT throws her hard in the corner. Dani crucifixes her and PT samoan drops her to escape it. PT gets a 2 count. PT misses a corner charge then Dani rolls her up for 2. Dani hits some shots to the gut and PT knees her in the gut.
Dani clips her from behind. Dani low dropkicks her while she's down. Dani tornado ddt's her using the buckles for 2. Dani misses a top rope splash and lands hard on her shoulder. Dani does hell's gate off a chokeslam attempt. PT taps out.
Thoughts: Dani was a little nervous here and wasn't totally clean in this. I don't think it was the best match they could have had. It was similar to other Dani matches with her doing a normal match then grabbing hell's gate for the finish. It was a tough match for these two as nobody in the crowd knows them.
We see a close-up of Dani's family and Dani appears to have a twin. Dani says it's over and she finally did it. PT says she's blessed and earned this position. She says her performance was enough to get her a contract. Dani hugs her family.
Taker says JR would call the next match a slobberknocker. He says they've been neck and neck all season long and it's about who shows up tonight.
Season 2 LFG Finals - Shiloh Hill vs Harlem Lewis
Booker said he told HL to apologize after this.
They lock-up and let go. HL side headlocks him then shoulders him over. HL side headlocks him then Hill shoulders him over. HL backbreakers him off a lock-up then hits shots to the gut and head.
Hill hits a corner spear and headbutts him. Hill lariats him over the top. Hill cannonballs him off the apron outside. Hill clubs and chops HL's chest. Hill legdrops him. HL backrolls Hill out of the ring.
HL beats up on him outside and rams his back into the apron edge. HL backbreakers him and running facekicks him for 2. HL backdrop backbreakers him. Hill cradles him off a suplex attempt for 2. Hill does a backdrop into a neckbreaker and wins.
Thoughts: It was acceptable. Harlem got most of the offense in here before losing. No one did anything too crazy and like with the women's match, nobody knows them so the reactions were limited.
Hill says he feels comfortable now and says it seems like it gets more fun and easier in front of bigger crowds.
The coaches, Alicia Taylor and Shawn Michaels are in a room. Bubba says both women took steps forward. He says he sees the confidence in both and moreso in Dani. Bubba says if he had to put someone on TV tomorrow, he's picking Dani. Booker says Penina found her stride. He says Penina has declared herself the winner and picks her. McCool says Penina makes a statement and has aura. Shawn and McCool says she's unique and McCool picks her. Taker says both girls grew but says Dani is more polished.
Dani and Penina come in. Shawn says both should be proud. He says Dani came in with a lot to prove. He says Penina's growth has been unbelievable. Shawn says he has to find someone who can be part of the best women's division and says Dani is the winner.
Dani says this proved that all of her work is worth it. She says the little girl inside of her was strong enough to do it and she says it's just a start.
Penina says she's heartbroken but she's no Cinderella. She says she's not done and says to keep a pen.
Thoughts: Dani has a very high upside. She looks good. She's athletic and she's got fire. She has potential to be a strong face someday. Penina can talk and she knows how to wrestle as a big girl. I think both are ready for NXT, along with Bayley. I would have picked Penina though as wrestlers who can talk always get over.
It's time to pick a men's winner. Taker picks Shiloh. McCool says both are ready. She says Harlem is intense and scares her. She says his intensity is believable and she picks Harlem. Bubba says it's a tie. He says Harlem could use more time developing and could communicate better with his fellow workers. Bubba picks Shiloh. Booker says he's looking for an intense guy. He says Shiloh did a hell of a job. He says Harlem learns quick and picks him.
Shiloh and Harlem come in. Shawn says both are in the finals. He says Harlem came into this late but everyone has raved about his development. He says the crowd gasped when he came in. He says he's a scary looking guy when he's p!ssed and says he's money. He says Shiloh put the time, effort and work in. He says he has grown but he needs someone he can plug in that people can look at and be intimidated by. He says Hill may not be as intimidating but he's crazy looking. He then gives Hill the contract.
Hill says it feels good and it he's excited to feel the weight on his shoulders. Harlem says he was confused for a second but says it's time to run it back. He says he will get an NXT contract.
Thoughts: They made it sound like Harlem was the one to win here, so I don't know what this was about. Harlem has a high ceiling and maybe the potential to be a Goldberg or Brock type of guy. Hill is realistically probably going to be a Josh Briggs type of guy. Hill's ready enough and has been around for so long that he needs to be on TV, so I get why they picked him. I would have picked Harlem.
Shawn thanks the coaches and says he can see the influence they had. He says they want to know who the LFG champ is though. Bubba comes up and teases taking the title. Shawn says Taker is the defending champ but says like the streak, everything has to come to an end. He says at least it will stay in the family and gives the title to McCool. Taker claps but rolls his eyes. McCool says the team earned her the title. Taker says he got two contracts and doesn't get this.
Thoughts: I don't understand how the points worked here as Taker had 2 people get contracts and therefore should be the winner but wasn't.
Hill signs his contract and is stoked. Dani said LFG brought out the performer in her. Taker says the work begins for those two and now they have to make a name for themselves all over again.
There was no mention of when the next season will be or if there is one but I had heard they will be a third season, so we will see.
Overall thoughts: It was a nice show. The two matches we saw were acceptable and it was nice to see Hill and Dani get their contracts. The show is worked though, everyone's signed and it really doesn't matter. I would have picked Harlem and Penina though. I don't understand how Taker didn't win the coaches title though. This season was a lot better than last season as they focused more on the wrestling and less on the drama and the move to 60 minutes over 90 minutes was a positive. I'd give this episode a 6 out of 10 overall and thought the show was fine.
