WWF Superstars of Wrestling 5/30/1992

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-5231992.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-661992.html

We are still in Syracuse, NY. Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect are our hosts. Vince says we are in time for Dairy Month. Perfect wants to laugh about the black goo coming out of Warrior's head. He says once Papa Shango puts the curse on you, all the calcium in the world can't stop your bones from turning to dust. He says things are looking real sour now if you are The Warrior.

The Legion of Doom (Animal & Hawk) vs Kato and Rick Mitchell

Animal locks up with Kato. Kato eye rakes him and chops him in the corner. Animal chases him around the ring. Kato chops him and Animal powerslams him. Hawk clubs on Kato off the ropes. Vince says Ellering said that The LOD gets their power through ICOPRO. Vince says we will hear a great deal about it.

Animal gorilla presses Kato into the ring. Hawk lariats Kato over the top. Animal lariats Kato on the floor. The Beverly Brothers and The Genius do an inset promo. They say LOD wears makeup and pads because they are sissies. Animal corner lariats Rick. Rick then takes a doomsday device and is pinned.

Thoughts
: This was notable for being the first mention of ICOPRO on this show. The LOG won as expected. Kato got a rare eye rake in during this one which is the most a jobber has gotten in on The LOD for a long time.

Animal says The Beverly Brothers made fun of them for the last time.

WWF Update

Mean Gene Okerlund says the WBF Magazine is on news stands Tuesday. Gene talks Papa Shango and we see his poem while burning stuff from a few weeks ago. We then see Papa Shango curse Warrior while he was on the apron. We then see Warrior throw up on the doctor and we see the black goo come from Warrior's head.

Gene says it doesn't seem fair that Warrior would fall under a spell from Papa. Gene says he's not looking forward to seeing Papa Shango next.

Papa Shango vs Brian Brieger

The match never got started here as Papa turned the lights off and when they came back on, Brian's feet were on fire and black goo was coming out of his head. This was listed as a no contest, but I think Brian should be given the win via DQ. Again, there's no explaining or defending this. It's just too over the top and makes wrestling look fake. It is something different though.

WWF Event Center

Sean Mooney talks the 6/6/92 Boston Garden show.

Mr. Perfect and Ric Flair do a promo. Perfect talks about the supposed message Miss Elizabeth left on Flair's answering machine. Flair says there's no way for Liz to walk that aisle with him again. Flair says Liz can't have him again. Flair says they are taking the WWF Title back.

Macho Man does a promo. He says those accusations don't deserve an answer. Macho says Ric is messing with Liz. He says he will take Perfect and Ric and make them wish they didn't say what they said. Macho says Ric has a date with destiny with him. He says Ric is going somewhere way past hell.

Sgt. Slaughter vs Bob Bradley

Sarge has new music that is more upbeat. Sarge is pushed off the lock up. Bob eye rakes him then punches him in the face. Bob bends over and has his face banged off the mat. Sarge drops him throat first on the ropes. Sarge then elbow drops Bob on the apron.

The Mountie and Jimmy Hart do a promo. Hart asks if Sarge is ready to surrender. Mountie says 80,000 volts gives him all the power. He says Sarge will surrender. Sarge lariats Bob then submits him with the cobra clutch to win.

Thoughts: It was a short one and wasn't much of note here. I don't like Sarge being back in action and 100% after getting shocked. It makes the new super shock stick look weak.

We get an ad for the WBF Championship.

Rick Martel vs Jim Powers

Vince says the WBF will have drug free competition. Rick top wristlocks Jim. Jim hammerlocks him and is tripped. Rick cartwheels and taunts him. Rick does an inset promo. He says the warpath Tatanka is on will soon be a trail of tears. He also calls him buffalo breath. Jim hits lariats on Rick then armdrags him into an armlock.

Jim sunset flips Rick then arm wringers him. Rick hits him in the gut then Jim misses a dropkick. Ric boston crabs him and wins.

Thoughts: It was an okay squash and was at least somewhat even. Jim is a pretty good jobber.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 6/6/1992 Boston Garden show. He says there's an out of control flame going on with Macho and Flair. The Berzerker and Mr. Fuji do a promo. Fuji says Berz stopped Taker in his tracks. He asks how it feels to be punished and insulted. Ber asks how it felt to have his head caved against the cement. He said he told people he was the toughest man in the WWF. Berz says when he goes to stab Taker, he won't miss next time.

Paul Bearer and The Undertaker do a promo. Paul says what Fuji had Berzerker do is unforgivable and he will pay. Taker says the crimes committed against the body are unimportant as it's just a tool the soul uses. Taker says he will destroy Berz's body and possess his soul for eternity.

They shill the Crunch Classic Coliseum Video.

The Natural Disasters (Earthquake & Typhoon) vs Duane Gill & Mike Fury

Mike is back and he's still really big. The jobbers pound on The ND's. Ty lariats Gill then underhook suplexes him. Mike takes a double back elbow. Money Inc do an inset promo. IRS says he hopes The ND's learned not to interfere in their business. Ted says Money Inc is so powerful, they can handle any natural disaster.

Quake elbow drops Mike then jumping kicks him. Quake throws Mike. Ty corner splashes Mike then suplexes him. Mike  takes a corner splash from both opponents. Mike takes a double clothesline. Quake powerslams Mike. Quake butt drops Mike then Ty splashes Mike for the win.

Thoughts: It was all squash here with the jobbers literally getting squashed. The crowd cheered a bit for the ND's here. This went a little longer than I expected.

The Big Boss Man vs Dave Roulette

Dave's name is pronounced Ru-lay. Boss knees Dave in the gut and back elbows him. Boss does a wind-up punch. Boss backbreakers Dave. Dave then takes a sidewalk slam and is pinned.

Thoughts:
It was another quick one here. At least Dave didn't get gooed or lit on fire.

We see Nailz running to ringside. Nailz hits Boss with his nightstick. He hits him in the back and the gut with it. Nailz knees him in the face. Nailz handcuffs Boss to the top rope. Nailz hits Boss in the leg with the nightstick and kicks him.

Nailz hits him in the gut with the nightstick and then the back. Nailz then handcuffs Boss' wrists behind his back. Nailz chokes Boss with the nightstick and punches him. Nailz then spits on him and kicks him. Nailz asks Boss how it feels and chases officials (including JJ Dillion) off with his night stick. Nailz then walks off in the crowd. Boss is stretchered out after.

Thoughts: It's hard to feel bad for Boss here as he handcuffs people all the time and even as a face sometimes beat them up while they are handcuffed. He kind of had it coming.

The Berzerker vs Glen Ruth

Berz boots Glen over before the bell rings. Berz chops him over then knee drops him. Berz legdrops him then slams him. Berz running boots Glen while he's tied up in the ropes. Berz hits a big slam then throws him out of the ring for the countout win.

Thoughts: It was the usual Berz squash with him yelling "huss" and his opponent getting nothing in. Glen was then thrown out and lost via countout as usual.

Crush is at the junkyard again. He says he eats people like Mountie for lunch and eats shortstack (two cars stacked on each other.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 6/6/1992 Boston Garden show. The Beverly Brothers and The Genius do a promo. Beau says LOD was psycho-analyzed. Blake says LOD's parents wanted girls and got their wish. Beau says they wear make-up and says that won't cut it when they have two men like them in their way. They then say they are The Legion of Sissies.

Sgt. Slaughter calls Mountie a Dudley Do-Wrong. He says him and Jimmy Hart did something they will regret. He says they stuck the electrocution machine into the wrong man. Sarge says he's coming for them like he hasn't came for anyone before. He says not even the royal mounted police will recognize him when he's done with him.

Next week's show has an interview with Papa Shango, Bret Hart, The Beverly Brothers, Crush and an update on Big Boss Man.

Overall thoughts: It was a notable show as Nailz debuted and Papa Shango lit a jobber's feet on fire. Jim Powers/Rick Martel was somewhat even which was nice. They also shilled ICOPRO for the first time here. As always, there was nothing must see here but it was more tolerable than most weeks and atleast we had some happenings.
