Daiki Nagai & Yota Tsuji vs. Masatora Yasuda & Taichi

Nagai hits forearms on Tai and is facekicked. Tai slams him then kicks him in the back. Masa hits forearms on Nagai then corner back elbows him. Masa slams him for 2. Masa hits forearms then Nagai dropkicks him.

Yota slams Masa for 2. Masa hits forearms and is hit back. Yota chops him. Masa flying headscissors him. Tai gets in and hits kicks and a facekick on Yota.

Tai superkicks him for 2. Yota flatliners him into a curbstomp. They trade strikes and Tai running lariats him. The rookies come in and Masa dropkicks Nagai. Nagai misses a dropkick then he monkey flips him. Masa hits a nice dropkick on Nagai for 2. Nagai spinebusters Masa for 2. Nagai then crabs Masa and submits him.

Thoughts: It was fine with the rookies fighting the rookies and Yota/Tai fighting each other. The rookies looked good here and Yota/Tai interested me in their match.

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Katsuya Murashima vs. Shoma Kato & Yuya Uemura

Yuya and Tana go at it. They do some amateur wrestling. Yuya hammerlocks him. Tana 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. Yuya then does it to him and armdrags him. Tana headscissors him and they stand off.

KM and Kato go at it. KM chops him. They shoulder each other and Kato armdrags him. KM shoulders him over. Tana slams Kato then KM slams Kato. Tana slams Kat for 2. Kato takes a double shoulderblock then KM sentons Kato for 2.

Kato and Tana trade shots. Tana slaps him then KM dropkicks him. Yuya hits chops on Tana. Yuya goes up and over, armdrags him then dropkicks him. Yuya corner splashes him then bulldogs him.

Tana hits a dragon screw. KM gets in and hits shoulders on Yuya. Yuya chops him then flying forearms him. KM shoulders him over. KM running powerslams Yuya for 2. Yuya dropkicks him. Yuya backdrops KM and goes for the armbar. KM then taps out.

Thoughts: It was similar to the last match with the rookies being fun and doing good with the basics. Tana and Yuya worked fine together here. KM's really becoming fun in these matches and I hope he can keep it up when he's a full-time roster member that can do a regular moveset.

United Empire (Callum Newman & Jakob Austin Young) vs. House Of Torture (SANADA & Yoshinobu Kanemaru)

The Empire get hit before the match starts. CN is sent into the rails. YK stomps on Jake. Jake elbows him out of the corner then Jake leg lariats him. Jake forearms YK then Jake is pulled out and sent into the rails. CN is then sent into the seats.

YK chinlocks Jake and elbows him in the face. YK rakes the eyes. Jake 2nd rope dropkicks San. CN runs the ropes fast and facekicks San. CN facekicks YK then PK's San for 2.

CN has the rope kicked into his crotch. San blocks CN's os cutter. CN kicks San in the arm. YK gets in. He boots Jake out of the corner. Jake then tornado ddt's him down for 2.

Jake shining wizards YK for 2. CN PK's San from the apron. YK enzugiri's Jake then knocks the ref otu of the ring. YK spits whiskey in Jake's eyes and rolls him up to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that great. House of Torture cheated here and UE didn't get much but various kicks.

House Of Torture (Dick Togo & EVIL)  vs. TMDK (Hartley Jackson & Ryohei Oiwa)

HoT attacks before the bell. Evil works on Oiwa's fingers. Oiwa shoulders him over. Hart gets in and slams Evil. Hart is thrown out then sent into the rails by Fale. Togo eye pokes Hart then throws him out. Fale thne drives Hart into the apron edge.

Togo stomps and sentons Hart for 2. Hart is sent out. Fale tries to send Hart into the rails but is reversed. Hart atomic drops Togo outside. Hart crossbodies Evil. Oiwa comes in. He forearms over Evil then dropkicks both opponents.

Oiwa slams and splashes Evil. Evil eye rakes Oiwa then sends him into the exposed buckle. Togo trips Oiwa then elbow drops his back. Oiwa armdrags Togo then splashes the arm. Hart eye pokes Evil. Togo eye pokes Oiwa. Togo calls for timeout against Hart then Hart suplexes him.

Oiwa sits on Togo's back and armlocks him. Oiwa then wins by submission.

Thoughts: It was your usual HoT vs faces match. There weren't a ton of highlights and the best part of the match was when it ended. Fale interfered some here. I did like Togo calling for timeout against Hart.

Oleg Boltin & Toru Yano vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (David Finlay & Gedo)

Oleg and DF lock up. Oleg side headlocks him. DF gets his own side headlock in. They shoulder battle. DF forearms him then Oleg shoulders him over. Oleg chops DF in the corner then DF hits a forearm and boot flurry. DF then bites him.

Oleg slams DF then splashes him for 2. Oleg karelin's lifts DF. DF works on Oleg's leg and then ddt's it. DF sentons him then does Yano's taunt. Oleg hits forearms on DF then DF double throat thrusts him.

Oleg back body drops DF. Yano and Gedo get in. Yano unties a buckle then rolls up Gedo for 2. Yano hits him in the back of the head then he grabs Gedo by the beard. The ref breaks it up and Yano rolls up Gedo for 2.

Oleg dropkicks DF then lariats him over the top, going with him. Gedo goes into the exposed buckle, Yano low blows him and rolls him up to win.

Thoughts: There was a lot of fooling around here with Gedo and Yano and the rest of the work wasn't much of note to make up for it. It was about as good as it looked and it didn't look that good.

G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match - El Phantasmo vs. Great-O-Khan

Khan hits ELP from behind and stomps on him. Khan is pulled over the top then ELP plancha's him. ELP topes Khan over the rail into the front row. ELP chops down Khan in the seats. ELP and Khan send each other into the wall. ELP then jumps off the steps on the bleachers onto Khan.

They go around the arena. Khan rams ELP's back into the rails then sends him into the rails again. Khan steps on ELP's back. Khan hits mongolian chops and uppercuts ELP. Khan then sits on ELP's neck in the corner. Khan fireman's carry slams him. Khan then camel clutches him. ELP ropebreaks when he twists the head.

ELP hits forearms on Khan. ELP 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him then asai moonsaults him for 2. Khan abdominal stretches ELP with an iron claw. Khan then spinning back rack drops ELP for 2.

Khan misses a pump kick. They trade germans then lariat each other at the same time. They double clothesline each other down. ELP hits forearms on Khan. Khan mongolian chops ELP. They trade shots. ELP enzugiri's him and hits his UFO neckbeaker.

Khan shoulder throws ELP. He pump kicks him then hits a straight punch. ELP 2nd rope tornado ddt's him then superkicks him for 2. ELP is crotched up top. Khan is up top and is enzugiri'd. Khan top rope claw slams ELP and then pins him.

Thoughts: It was a bit heavy on the moves and there wasn't that much story here. I thought it went a bit longer than it needed to. The longer it went on the less I cared for it.  It was two people doing moves that meant very little in the context of the match.

G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match - Drilla Moloney vs. Ren Narita

Kanemaru hits DM before he even gets in. DM is sent into the rails then the seats. Ren then chairs him outside. Ren chokes him on the floor then bangs his head off the post. DM is busted open. The match then officially starts.

Ren rakes DM's eyes on the ropes the bangs his head off the exposed buckle. DM hits punches then Ren bites his head. Ren chinlocks him then hits a flying shoulder for 2.

DM's head is banged off the exposed buckle. Kanemaru dropkicks DM in the head outside. DM's throat is catapulted into the bottom rope. Kanemaru then foot chokes DM outside. DM hits shots on Ren. Rey eye rakes him. Ren is sent into the exposed buckle then suplexed.

DM chop and forearm combos Ren in the corner and pushes the ref aside. DM blocks Ren's low blow then DM spinebusters Ren for 2. DM enzugiri's Ren. Kanemaru trips DM from the outside and hits him with a chair. Ren then rolls up DM for 2. Ren chinlocks DM. Ren germans DM then chinlocks him. DM ropebreaks.

DM is nearly pushed into the ref. Ren low blows him and facebusters him. Ren comes off the top and is caught with a sitout powerbomb. DM is pushed into the ref, knocking him out of the ring.

Kanemaru stomps on DM in the ring. DM rolling spears Kanemaru and superkicks Ren. DM top rope elbow drops Ren. DM low blows him then hits a rolling spear. DM hits an over the shoulder piledriver and pins Ren.

Thoughts: It was the usual HoT match that we've seen a thousand times with the match starting before the bell rang, weapons, interference, stupid refs and stupid faces. It would have been fine if they just let them wrestle but we had to have the usual cheap tactics like always.

G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match - Shingo Takagi vs. Shota Umino

They lock up. Shota is backed up in the corner. Shingo hits a chop and headbutt then Shota boots him out of the corner. They shoulder battle and trade forearms. Shingo hits some punches then Shota armdrags him. Shota dropkicks him then Shingo shoulders him over. Shingo facelocks him then hits an elbow drop.

Shingo sentons him. Shota bocks a knee to the gut then dropkicks him in the knee. Shota is rammed into the side of the apron. Shingo is sent into the rails. Shota wraps Shingo's leg around the rails outside. 

Shota leglocks Shingo and Shingo ropebreaks. Shota fisherman suplexes him for 2. Shota foot chokes Shingo in the corner. Shingo dragon screws him. Shingo hits a corner lariat then hits a chop and punch combo. Shingo bolo punch combos him then hits a bunch of jabs to the face. Shingo suplexes him then sliding lariats him for 2.

Shota armdrags Shingo. Shota dragon screws him then STF's him. They trade forearms. Shingo hits chops to the neck. Shingo backdrops him then Shota hits a high exploder. Shingo dragon suplexes him, Shota no sells it then dragon screws him.

They lariat each other at the same time. Shingo back elbows him out of the corner then hits his own tornado ddt.  Shingo superplexes him. Shingo sliding lariats him from behind then hits a made in Japan for 2.  

Shingo lariats him then Shota tornado ddt's him. Shota meteora's him from behind in the corner. Shota lariats him. Shingo hits a twist and shout. They trade forearms and Shota enzugiri's him. Shota running knees him for 2. Shota hits a hard running lariat. Shingo brainbusters him for 1.

Shota lariats him. They headbutt each other in the shoulder. Shingo hits a bridging GTR then a last of the dragon. Shingo running lariats him for 2. Shingo hits a burning dragon and wins.

Thoughts: They got all the time they needed here and were allowed to go all out. There were a lot of hard shots in this as they stiffed each other well. Shota also hit tons of hard lariats. It was an alright match but wasn't quite the classic they were hoping for.

G1 Climax 2025 Block B Match - Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Konosuke Takeshita

Zack side headlocks and cravates him. KT grabs a leg and trips him. Zack then escapes. Zack straightjacket chokes him. KT then reverses it. Zack escapes between the legs.

KT double knuckle locks him. Zack backrolls and reverses it. KT suplexes him then knee drops the arm. KT headscissors him. KT headscissors Zack on the bottom rope. KT hits forearms and facekicks Zack. KT goes up top and is dropkicked down onto the ropes. Zack does a bow and arrow around the bottom rope. 

Zack ties up one of KT's arms with one of KT's legs. Zack hits euros. KT forearms him then Zack twists the hand with a kimura. KT germans him. Zack is sent into the rails outside. KT brainbusters Zck on the floor. KT facekicks him in the corner then germans him. KT running lariats him for 2. Zack triangles KT over the top rope.

Zack twists KT's arm with his feet. Zack hits a euro and takes an exploder. Zack pump kicks the arm and KT backdrops him. Zack chest kicks him down. KT package tombstones Zack then wheelbarrow germans him. 

Zack heel hooks KT when KT goes for a pumping knee. Zack tries a bridge pin for 2. KT pumping knees Zack. Zack rolling armbars KT. KT blue thunders him for 2. Zack spinning michinoku drivers him for 2.

Zack is seated and boots KT. Zack drops him with a euro. They trade forearms. Zack is dropped with a forearm. Zack hits a big slap on KT then runs into KT's knee. Zack does a grounded sleeper. Zack grounded sleepers him. They go up top with Zack having the sleeper on and KT drops him backwards off the buckles. Zack then keeps it on. KT tries to electric chair drop him but Zack hits another grounded sleeper. KT then taps out.

Thoughts: It was just so-so. Zack worked KT's hand for a bit and gave up but KT kept selling it. Zack's various submissions slowed things down like usual and KT didn't bring a lot to the table in that area as he's not a submissions guy. I thought the best way for them to do this would have been to focus on the strikes or for Zack to stick to a specific body part than an array of submissions.

Zack says says KT may the alpha, but he's the world champ d!ckhead.

Overall thoughts: It was similar to some of the other G1 shows. The young lions look good. House of Torture stinks it up and only one or two of the G1 matches ends up being really good. Shota/Shingo was the best match on here to no surprise and Zack/KT was just average. I would give hits a 4 out of 10 as it was below average and not one of the better G1 shows.
