Reality of Wrestling 5/18/2024 PLATINUM Episode 3

Last week's show is here:

Andrew Jackson hosts a sit down with Gaspar, Booker T and Zilla. He wants to go over the rules and stipulations for the match between Zilla and Gaspar. Booker says Zilla won the Last Stand Rumble but says he's under the bright lights tonight. He asks if Zilla is ready for what's about to happen to him. Zilla says he doesn't want to any more questions. He tells Gaspar to tag him next time he wants to call him out.

Booker says they live rent free in Zilla's head. Booker says he told if he wants to be champ a long time ago to look, act and dress like a champ all the time. He says Zilla is dressed like a bum and isn't ready. Booker says he will leave him in the dirt just like last time. Booker says he won't be out there and will let Gasper Hernandez stop him right at the gate. He says Zilla is in trouble.

Danny Limelight vs Rhys Maddox

RM rolls him up off the lock up. DL backs him up in the corner. RM punches him from the apron then top rope diving headscissors him. RM then plancha's him outside. Dl lariats him. RM chops back and gets chopped. RM sunset flips him for 2. RM spinning headscissors him.

RM hits a knee and an enzugiri. RM springboard forearms him for 2. RM cutters him off the bottom rope for 2. RM backslides him for 2 then rolls him up for 2. DL lariats him. RM cradles him by surprise then DL suplexes him for a close 2. Dl running knees him then hits a one-arm pedigree for the win.

Thoughts: It wasn't bad. RM needs to make sure his offense connects a little better but they definitely sold me on him maybe getting the upset here as they had some nice close calls.

Matty Ice is interviewed and is rubbing his eyes. He says he's not feeling too good as he lost his chance at becoming a 3x champ but says that's the way the industry works. He says Max Castellanos is very upset but should smile more as he has a lot to be happy about. He says he has a girl, horsey's and a 99 cent cigar that smells like crap. He says Max drew the unlucky number to face him. He says he's still p!ssed off that Booker T shoved a cigar in his eyes and he's looking to hurt someone. He says Max may be that person.

Max Castellanos vs Matty Ice

They lock-up and roll on the ropes. They break. Max hits punches then boots in the corner. Max foot chokes him. Max is back body dropped then Ice hits lariats. Max is suplexed.

Ice is sent into the buckles then is sent shoulder first into the post. Max side slams him for 2. Ice hits punches then Max powerslams him for 2. Ice euros him while he's on the apron. Ice's throat is pulled down over the top rope. Max hits a top rope crossbody but Ice rolls through it for 2. Ice hits lariats then uranages him. Ice elbow drops him.

Ice spinning samoan drops/death valley drivers him for 2. Max slaps him then Max hits a backcracker for 2. Ice then crucifixes him off of it and pins him.

Thoughts: It was fine and wasn't too much of note either way. I would have liked to have seen Max work the eye of Ice here since they pushed how it was injured the whole time.

Max nails Ice from behind then hits mounted shots. Max hits a swinging side slam on him.

Wren Sinclar is interviewed. They say she started her journey here. Wren says it feels great to take her first role in a Booker T ring then be on the same show as him. She says there's only one person she can credit for this - herself. She says she beat Mia Friday and said she heard she's a title holder now. She says we will see if Mia has grown up and if she can handle being in the ring with Wren Sinclair.

Mia Friday vs Wren Sinclair

Wren pushes her from behind off a lock-up attempt. Wren trips her and slaps her in the back of the head. Wren poses and Mia trips her. Mia wristlocks her then armlocks her.

Wren armdrags her but Mia holds on and armdrags her. Mia armdrags her then springboard armdrags her. Mia neckbreakers her for 2. Mia boots her out of the corner. Wren hits corner spears then double underhook suplexes her.

Wren double chops her in the corner then dropkicks her in the back of the head for 2. Wren butt drops Mia's back for 2. Mia goes up and over and rolls her up for 2. Mia backslides her for 2. Wren spinning side slams her for 2.

Wren bow and arrows Mia. Wren knees her in the gut. Mia hits forearms and punches then she swinging facebusters Wren. Mia superkicks her in the gut then pumping knees her for 2.

Wren sunset flips her for 2. Wren hits a headlock driver on Mia and wins.

Thoughts: It was average. Wren was more heelish throughout this but the work wasn't anything that memorable. Wren won here as expected.

ROW Title - Gaspar Hernandez (c) vs Zilla Fatu

Booker T is with Gas even though he said he wouldn't be earlier.

They lock up. Fatu hits forearms then is knee'd in the gut. Fatu rolls him up for 2 then hits chops. Fatu chops Gas in the back of the neck then does a jumping headbutt drop on him. They hit lariats at the same time then forearm each other down at the same time.

They are both down. Terrell Tempo, AJ Francis and Edge Stone goes out and the ref goes out to stop them. Josiah Jean, Will Allday, Ryan Davidson. and some others go down and fight Edge's crew. Booker T heads into the ring with a chair. Booker chairs Fatu then Gas gets a 2 count on Fatu.

They trade forearms. Fatu is nearly sent into the ref. Gas goes to hit Fatu but ends up lariating the ref. Fatu pop-up samoan drops Gas. Fatu hits a springboard splash on Gas then nails Booker. Fatu hits a flying forearm. A second ref comes down and counts the pin as Fatu wins!

Thoughts: It was a shorter one and full of shenanigans. I was surprised Zilla won here. The crowd was happy though and that's all that matters.

Zilla then celebrates with the happy crowd after.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual acceptable ROW show. Nothing was great but nothing was bad either. We also got a big title change here as Zilla finally won the title. The show was fine and I'd give it a 5 out of 10 overall.
