2025 Women's Owen Hart Cup Tournament Final - Jamie Hayter vs. Mercedes Moné

They get off to a slow start. JH waistlock takedowns her and messes with her hair. Mone hits forearms to the back. JH boots her and hits corner lariats. JH boots her in the chest for 2. JH hits more forearms. Mone corner forearms her. Mone goes up and over and backrolls her for 2. Mone rolls her up for 2.

They each go for a leglock. JH then half crabs her. Mone meteora's her over the botom rope. JH hangs from the bottom rope and Mone apron double stomps her down to the floor. JH is sent into the rail. Mone bow and arrows her. Mone double axe handles her then side slams her for 2. Mone sits on her back and pulls on her chin. Mone then straightjackets her with it after a backcracker. JH hits back elbows. Mone 2nd rope meteora's her. JH shotgun dropkicks her in the corner.

JH is pulled off the 2nd rope and bangs off the top buckle. Mone meteora's her in the back against the 2nd buckle. Mone misses the 2nd attempt and is backdropped. JH 2nd rope dropkicks her then shotgun dropkicks her.

JH corner meteora's her. Mone suplexes her three times in a row. JH 2nd rope superplexes her then Mone backcrackers her. JH superkicks her then hits a big lariat.

Mone 619's her under the bottom rope, Mone is sent into the rails. JH slips on the steps but lariats her off the steps. Mone backcrackers her three times. Mone crossfaces her. JH hits headbutts. JH backslides her for 2. JH rolls her up for 2. Mone pulls JH into the buckles with her feet. JH goes for a powerbomb but Mone just la silla's her down for 2.

Mone backrolls her and is caught with a sleeper. Mone tries a pin off of it. Mone rolls her into a pin attempt and crossface. Mone crucifixes her then JH ushigoroshi's her. JH sliding lariats her for 2.

Mone goes for a tombstone but is tombstoned for 2.  JH goes for a pepsi twist and Mone cradles her for the win (JH's head is spiked into the canvas on it).

Thoughts: I liked it. It was a bit long for an opener but it was a hard hitting match. There wasn't a ton of story and the finish could have been better but the work was good enough otherwise. Mone won as expected here.

FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) vs. Daniel Garcia and Nigel McGuinness

Cash ducks DG's lock up. Cash hugs DG in the corner. DG hammerlocks him. Cash shoulders him over. DG shoulders him over then backs him off. DG then does his dance. Nigel and Dax go at it. Dax hits punches and chops in the corner.

Nigel hits cross chops then Dax hits more shots. Nigel hits euros. Nigel fights off Cash. FTR are both pulled down by the arms. FTR then escape stereo submissions. Nigel does a handstand in the corner and double boots Dax. He then kicks Cash in the back and lariats him down for 2. Nigel corner euros Cash. Nigel misses a corner attack then takes a corner spear. Nigel is thrown out. Nigel is pushed into the commentary table and the apron edge.

Cash stomps and stands on Nigel. Nigel tries a rebound lariat but is stopped and then takes a bridging tower of london on the floor from Cash. Cash chinlocks Nigel and uses the ropes. Cash beats up on Nigel. Nigel hits his rebound lariat and hot tags in DG.

DG cleans house on FTR. DG does corner punches on both FTR members. DG lariats Dax down then suplexes him for 2. DG tries a sharpshooter but it is broken up. DG holds Dax and Nigel hits a tower of london on him for 2.

The four trade forearms. FTR botch a double rebound lariat spot and nail each other. DG sharpshooters Dax while Nigel london dungeon's Cash. Stokeley Hathaway tries to help out but Matt Menard stops him. Nigel hits a stunner on Cash and he says it's for Tony (who says he can't hear him LOL). Nigel is then sent into the rails. Cash then yells at Tony.

Dax gets crotched up top. DG superplexes Cash. DG superplexes Cash. Cash lariats Nigel on the apron. Dax twisting superplees DG and Cash hits a top rope splash on DG for 2. Nigel takes a shatter machine on the floor. FTR and Stoke stare down Tony, who is trying to help Nigel up.

DG takes on FTR 1v2 in the ring. Dax piledrivers DG for 2. DG takes a spike piledriver for 2. Dax sharpshooters DG. Cash topes Matt Menard outside and DG passes out. FTR win.

Thoughts: I liked it. It was a decent match. It maybe got a little too much time and they focused a little on Tony too much but it was fine overall. 

Stretcher Match - Mark Briscoe vs. Ricochet

Mark poses on the ropes and is pushed down from behind. Ric hits punches. Mark is put in a chair and punched. Mark punches back then hits shots on him in the chair. Mark beats up Ric back to the ambulance. Mark bangs Ric's head off the ambulance. Mark pushes Ric into the ambulance but Ric comes out and pounds him. Ric runs away from the area and goes back to the ring.

Mark chops Ric outside and headbutts him. Ric rolls over the stretcher then Mark rams him with it. Ric pumping knees him and rams him into the rails. Mark is put on the stretcher and Ric misses an ssp onto it. Mark punches Ric on the stretcher then elbow drops him off the apron while he's on it. Mark then jumps off the rails and elbow drops him.

Mark throws a chair at Ric's head. Mark chair's ric's back. Ric chairs him. Mark hits him in the gut with a chair and throws him into the rail. Mark crane kicks him then sends him into the rail. Mark sprays Ric's head with some cleaner then rubs it with a towel. Mark hits Ric with a bucket.

Mark tries to jump off a chair to the outside but Ric throws a chair at his head. Mark boots him then exploders him. Ric sprays Mark with the cleaner in the eyes. Ric bangs Mark's head off the stretcher and Mark gets busted open hardway.

Ric wheels Mark to the ambulance on the stretcher. Ric goes to close the door but Mark blocks it with a crutch. Mark hits Ric with the crutch and fire extinguisher's him in the face. Mark running lariats him back in the ring. Mark hits a jay driller. Mark top rope elbow drops Ric through a table outside. Ric back body drops Mark on the ramp. Ric hits Mark in the head with scissors.

They go back to the ambulance. Mark has scissors then Ric stabs him with another pair of scissors. Ric hits a spirit gun. Mark is thrown in the ambulance, Ric flips off and wins.

Thoughts: It went long. I'm not sure Mark's goofing around at times was for the better as he got all bloody here and they had the blueprint for more a serious match. I would have liked more wrestling in the right and one less ambulance area visit. I just thought it was so-so due to the issues it had.

AEW Tag Titles - The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) (c) vs. The Sons of Texas (Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara)

MJF is with The Hurt's. Bobby pushes DR and backs him up in the corner. Bobby hits shots in the corner then shoulders him over. DR's head is banged off the buckles then he trades with SB. SB germans DR twicw for 2. They trade punches. DR knee lifts him. SG hits a top rope crossbody. SG flips over SB then corkscrew dropkicks him. SB germans him.

SG flying knees Bobby then superkicks him. SG pounds on him in the corner. SG boots Bobby out of the corner then Bobby spinebusters him. Bobby throws Sg into the apron outside then slams him on the floor. MJF roughs up SG outside.

SB hits mounted shots on SG. SG hits forearms on Bobby. Bobby spins SG into a dominator for 2. SG is popped up and he cutters Bobby. DR hits punches on SB then powerslams him. DR code red's SB for 2. DR hits a shattered dreams on him. Bobby is double clotheslined over the top. SG rolls DR into an ankle lock. SG flying headscissors SB. SG top rope ssp's outside and DR hits crossroads on SB for 2.

SG is overhead suplexed on the floor. DR is caught up top and takes a top rope hiptoss for 2. MJF gets on the apron and tries to give SB his ring to use. He says he's taking too long. Bobby tells MJF to get out and MJF says he's trying to help.

Bobby hits a rolling spear on SG and DR breaks up the pin. SB is sent into the post. Bobby runs into DR's boot outside. MJF eye rakes DR outside. MJF goes to hit him with the ring. Bobby stops him then spears DR through the rail. MJF and Bobby then hug. SG tries to dive on them but SB kind of stops him.

SB hits a step up knee in the corner then superkicks SG for the win.

Thoughts: It didn't go too long thankfully. The faces lost as expected here and they spent a decent chunk of the this on the MJF/Hurt Syndicate story. It was acceptable and really didn't need to be on this show.

AEW Continental Title - Kazuchika Okada (c) vs Mike Bailey

They lock up. KO wristlocks him. Mike cartwheels out and armlocks him. KO cleanbreaks him. KO flying headscissors him out. KO is rammed into the steps then Mike kicks the steps when KO moves. Mike then crane kicks KO while he makes faces. Mike triangle moonsaults him outside.

Mike hits a kick combo then is dragon screwed. KO flapjacks Mike. KO ddt's him on the floor. KO gets a 2 count in the ring. Mike's head is banged off the buckles. KO back elbows him in the corner then does Mike's bowing pose.

Mike hits chops on KO. KO knees him in the gut and baseball slides him out. Mike top rope moonsaults him outside. Mike top rope dropkicks him. Mike spin kicks and axe kicks him. Mike running ssp's him for 2.

KO over the back neckbreakers him on the knee. KO hits a top rope elbow drop. Mike rolls him up for 2. KO ducks a kick and gives him the finger. Mike falcon arrows him. KO gets his knees up on Mike's top rope ssp.

They trade forearms. Mike superkicks him. Mike is on the 2nd rope and KO dropkicks him out. Mike sweeps him on the apron then standing moonsault double kneedrops him on the apron. Mike spin kicks him then KO dropkicks him. Mike hits a moonsault double knee drops on KO. KO dropkicks him then Mike spinning high kicks him. Mike hits another spinning high kick for 2.

Mike hits kicks to the chest. KO hits short arm clotheslines. Mike straightjacket sunset flips him for 2. Mike spinning high kicks him. Mike does a top rope ssp and KO dropkicks him in the air. KO then rainmakers him to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't bad, but not great. Okada wasn't going to do all the crazy stuf that Mike likes to do so things meant more and they didn't go too overboard with it. The finish was cool with Okada hitting a dropkick while Mike was doing a top rope ssp. I do wish Mike's kicks would have meant a little more though as he did a lot of them and they didn't get him anywhere. 

AEW Women's Title - Toni Storm (c) vs Mina Shirakawa

Mina takes her down and is waistlocked. Mina kicks her in the leg. Toni side headlock takeovers her. Mina headscissors her. Toni gets out, dances and offers to help her up. Mina takes her hand and side headlock takeovers her. Toni then headscissors her. Mina then dances her way out and they trade pins.

Mina dropkicks her in the knee. Mina double stomps Toni's knees into the mat. Mina figure fours Toni's legs. Toni thesz presses her and hits punches. Mina dropkicks her in the knee.

Mina bangs Toni's legs off the post. Mina is pulled into the post. Toni suplexes Mina on the floor. Toni backbreakers her then fisherman suplexes her for 2.

Toni hits corner spears and chops. Mina tornado ddt's her and basement dropkicks her. Mina spinning forearms her then flying lariats her. Mina dragon screws her. Mina dragon screws Toni's leg around the 2nd rope. Mina charges at Toni. Luther gets in the way and Mina hits her. Mina then rolls over Luther's back and splashes Toni.

Mina then top rope dives Luther when Toni moves. toni ddt's Mina on the floor. Mina dragon screws Toni around the 2nd rope and drives her knee into the mat. Mina figure fours Toni and Toni ropebreaks. Toni forearms her, Mina urakens her and both go down.

They get up and trade shots. Mina boots her in the knee then Toni backdrops her. Toni germans her around. Toni runs at her but holds her knee. Mina dropkicks her in the knee. Mina spinning forearms her. Toni hits a sky high for 2. 

Mina headscissors her then ddt's her leg. Mina does a reverse figure four on her and Toni ropebreaks. Mina top rope diving slingblades Toni for 2. Mina spinning forearms her and urakens her. Mina hits a lifting sitout reverse ddt for 2.

Toni corner hip attacks her. Mina hits leg kicks. Mina rolls her into a figure four. Toni teases tapping out but ropebreaks. Mina goes for another figure four and they cradle each other for 2 counts. Toni headbutts her, hits a storm zero and wins.

Thoughts: I liked it. Mina actually followed through with the leg work for a change and most of the match revolved around it. It wasn't great but it was perfectly fine and I was a bit surprised that I liked it.

The girls then kiss after because Toni does the stuff for pops.

Anarchy in the Arena Match - Kenny Omega, Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, and The Opps (Samoa Joe, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Katsuyori Shibata) vs. Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Wheeler Yuta) and The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson)

Swerve came out dressed as The Predator.The Bucks had a stupid entrance as they had Justin Roberts read a colonial type of poem and they woe old school colonial gear. The Death Riders arrived in a car in the parking garage.

Omega and Swerve run after The Bucks on the ramp and pound on them. Joe headbutts CC in the stands then pounds on him. We go to a 4 screen split-screen. Joe and CC fight in the concourse and CC is sent into a pillar. Hobbs and Mox fight in the crowd. Willow walks the rail and is tripped. CC and Joe head outside of the building and fight. Willow is suplexed on the top edge of the rail.  

Joe is sent into a wall outside. They play colonial music and Omega asks for the music to change. "I'm So Excited" then plays. Willow and Shafir fight in the stand as the faces hit corner punches in the ring. Joe and CC fight into a merchandise stand. Omega grabs a mic. Joe hits CC in a tunnel. Omega asks for 2000's alternative rock music to be played and they play "Let The Bodies Hit The Floor".

Willow is sent into the back of an ambulance. Kenny sings the song with a female fan on the mic. CC and a Buck have their heads banged off the hockey boards. Mox forks and bites a bloody Hobbs. Yuta and Kenny fight on top of a seating entrance area. Hobbs throws Yuta off of it onto security. Omega then moonsaults off the seating entrance area.

Joe hits CC with a trash can lid. Hobbs slides in the ring and Mox curbstomps him. Mox forks Hobbs. Swerve side slams a Buck onto an open chair. Omega's leg is banged off the post. Hobbs drives Mox through a table in the corner. Swerve is hit with a knee while seated on a chair. Omega finlay rolls a Buck into an asai moonsault. Swerve does his 2nd rope euro in the back of the neck on a Buck.

The girls go outside. Shafir's head is banged off a table then off a truck. Willow throws garbage at her. Willow hits her in the head with a glass bottle and slams her on a table. KS and Yuta then fight near steps outside. Yuta is put in a rolling trash can then rammed into a garage door. KS then dumps him out of it.

KS puts barbed wire around his boot and PK's Yuta off a chair. The Bucks double ddt Swerve on the ramp then do his dance. Kenny hits The Bucks with a trash can and sends one into the entrance screen. A Buck ends up kicking the trash can into the other. Kenny is then hit with the trash can.

Swerve rolls and flatliners a Buck then takes a canadian destroyer on the stage. Swerve no sells it and house call kicks a Buck. Swerve jumps off the stage and is caught with a euro from CC. CC giant swings Swerve near the stage and sends him into a speaker. Hobbs then pounces CC into road cases. A Buck crossbodies Hobbs off the stage. 

Shafir hip throws Willow on the stage then hits her with a frying pan. She then hip attacks her on the floor. Omega lays on the top rope and is double stomped into a powerbomb through a table outside. Willow's ear piercing is tied with a chain around the post and she's stuck. KS takes a meltzer driver on the floor. Mox rakes Omega's back with a piece of a table. 

KS is held bu Mox for kicks from Shafir. KS then takes knees from Mox. Hobbs is put on a table and pounded on. A Buck climbs the big TV screens and swantons Hobbs through the table. Joe chokes Mox with a flag.

A Buck throws a chair at Hobbs' head twice. Swerve is driven in on a forklift. He jumps off of it and double M. Bison stomps The Bucks. Nana uses a key to get willow out from the chain. Hobbs hits The Bucks and Yuta with spinebusters. Shafir chairs Hobbs, who no sells it. CC then chairs Hobbs and Hobbs no sells it. 

Hobbs and Willow hit spinebusters. Mox chokes Swerve while Joe chokes a Buck. The others then grab sleepers as well. A Buck and Swerve then hit 450's off the top. A Buck staples Hobbs in the back. Hobbs no sells it and lets the Buck staple gun him in the head. A Buck takes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker from Swerve then a staple gun to the head. Mox is stapled in the throat then Yuta and CC get stapled. 

A Buck superkicks Swerve then is stapled in the nuts. Shafir low blows Swerve then staples his tongue. Willow hits spears on the men then Mox cutters Willow. Kenny snap dragons Mox, The Bucks and Shafir. Kenny takes a double superkick as does Hobbs, KS, Joe, Nana, the ref and Willow. A Buck is pushed off the top through a table. Willow and Swerve then hit a spike tombstone on a Buck for 2.

Swerve takes a powerbomb + top rope lariat. Joe hits shots on people then uranages Mox. Hook then comes down in a hoodie and hits CC with a golf club. Joe tells him to come in but Hook shakes his head and leaves. Joe muscle busters Mox. Gabe Kidd, who isn't in the match, then saves Mox with a briefcase. Gabe hits a bunch of people with briefcases. Gabe piledrivers Kenny. Kenny has tacks put in his mouth and he takes an EVP trigger. CC giant swings Kenny and Yuta dropkicks him as he swings. Mox bulldog chokes Kenny and Joe breaks it.

The heels stomp on Joe. Mark Briscoe comes out and tope con hilos CC and Yuta. Mark and Gabe then fight. Yuta and Gabe are sent into an ambulance. CC is pushed in the ambulance. A whole bunch of people get locked in the ambulance leaving The Bucks left.

The Bucks take offense from Swerve and Kenny. They then take a house call kick and a v-trigger on the ropes. Nana gives Swerve shoes with thumbtacks. A Buck takes a one winged angel off a stage through an exploding table and Swerve top rope double stomps a Buck with the tacks in the shoe. Swerve then wins.

Thoughts: It was a long one that felt like it would never end at some points here. It had some logic issues as expected. The men didn't even try to beat the girls up until later on when they would have been easy people to beat. Hook came out later in the match then left. Gabe Kidd then came out and stayed in making it 6v5 despite not being in the match...and why he wasn't in the match to begin with is unknown. I also don't know why Okada wasn't involved in this in any way. Mark Briscoe then came out for some reason. I have no idea how or why the table exploded near the end. They played with the music early on which was goofy and that took away from the seriousness of it.

Aside from all that, it was what you would expect. There were tons of big spots, tons of weapons shots and fighting all around the arena. I think half of this match could have been cut out without any issues but these guys had to do their spots. They didn't really make the most of some of the spots and there were delays on multiple attempts at stereo spots. The ambulance part of this was clever. This had some fun points to it but it also had issues. I would say I somewhat liked it.

The Paragon (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly, and Roderick Strong) vs. The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher, and Josh Alexander) 

KF = Kyle Fletcher, KR = Kyle O'Reilly, KT = Konosuke Takeshita

KT and Cole trade hammerlocks. KT pulls him by the hair then pounds on him. Cole hits a jumping neckbreaker. KR armbreakers KT on the shoulder. KR chest kicks him then KT flying euros him.

Josh hits forearms and chops on KR. KR goes between his legs and hits a strike combo. RS gutbusters Josh and KR diving knees Josh off the buckles. RS is beaten up on in the corner. KF takes chops and kicks in the corner. KR takes a hiptoss backbreaker then a PK + sliding kick combo.

RS has his back rammed into the apron outside then Josh crossbodies RS in the back while he's on the apron. KF pounds on RS. KF backdrops RS. RS is sent out and double teamed outside. Don Callis hits a boot on RS outside.

RS hits shots on Josh then Josh back elbows him. KT hits forearms and knees on RS. RS olympic slams KT. Josh front facelocks RS. 

RS lariats Josh over. Cole boots Josh out of the corner then hits lariats and a pump kick. Cole enzugiri's Josh then backcrackers him for 2. Josh takes an ushigoroshi and a PK. KR then armbars him. Josh ankle locks KR then KR cradles him for 2. KR and Josh double clothesline each other.

Cole comes off the 2nd rope and is superkicked by KF. Josh gemrnas Cole. Cole takes corner attacks then a 2nd rope powerbomb for 2. RS hits a dropkick through the buckles. KT is put on a chair against the rail and KR jumps off the apron to dropkick him. Josh is backbreakered on the top of the rail.

RS step up knees KF in the corner. KF takes a triple team shot for 2. RS jumping knees KT. Josh belly to belly suplexes RS. Cole superkicks Josh. Josh forearms Cole then Cole ushigoroshi's him. KF suplexes Cole then running boots him in the corner.

KR and KF trade. KR guillotine chokes him. KF suplexes KR for the win.

Thoughts: I was alright with it. The selling could have been a little better but they had some nice spots here and some nice triple teams which were fun.

KR is down after and seems injured. Lance Archer comes in and the heels beat up Paragon. Rocky Romero and Trent Baretta then come join up to beat down Paragon. Brody King, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii then come out and help fight the heels off. The faces get the edge and celebrate. 

2025 Men's Owen Hart Cup Tournament Final - Adam Page vs. Will Ospreay

Page had some pink cactus lights for his entrance. Will had stained glass on the tron with his lines about beating Page from Dynamite.

They get off to a slow start and trade holds. Page shoulders him over. Page grabs the hair in the corner then boots his arm away. Will chops him and then is back body dropped. They miss moves and then stand off.

Will hits a flying headscissors, slams him and does a standing corkscrew moonsault for 2. Page chops him. Will hits a springboard forearm. Will is caught on a plancha then fallaway slammed into the rails. Page fallaway slams him into the buckles.

Page hits chops in the corner. Page corner lariats him then backdrops him twice. Page hits kicked on a downed Will and Will asks for more. They trade forearms. Will hits a cutter then a handspring corkscrew kick. Will hits a flying space tiger outside.

Will spinning torture rack bombs him for 2. Page is back body dropped over the top. Page springboard triangle lariats him. Page then top rope moonsaults him outside. Page pop-up powerbombs him then sharpshooters him. They trade chops and forearms. Page backdrops him. Page facekicks him then Will step up enzugiri's him. Will spinkicks him. Will handsprings and is lariated in the back of the head. Page lariats him then takes a standing spanish fly.

Will superkicks Page's head into the top buckle. Page buckshots him out of the corner then is superkicked on the 2nd attempt. Page is laying on the top rope and Will top rope moonsaults his back while he lays there for 2. Page asai moonsaults onto him into a tombstone for 2. Page hits an angel's wings for 2. Page misses a top rope moonsault and takes a hidden blade. They fight on the apron. Will powerbombs him on the apron. will then hits a styles clash from the apron to the floor.

They get back in and Will os cutters him for 2. Will hits a hidden blade for 2. Will hits a strike flurry and pounds on him while he's down on the apron. Will facekicks him off the apron into the commentary table.

Will bangs Page's head off the commentary table. Page tries a dead eye through the commentary but the table breaks while they stand on it and both go through.  

Page then hits dead eye on the broken commentary table. Page hits a buckshot lariat in the ring for 2. Page goes for a buckshot, Will hits a hidden blade and a stormbreaker for 2. Will hits a v-trigger on the ropes. Page hits a JML driver for 2. Will takes a spinning lariat. Page buckshot lariats him for the win.

Thoughts: They did too much here with table bumps, JML driver's and moves from the apron to the floor. That wasn't surprising though. There wasn't a great story here and no real clear faces or heels. They didn't get as crazy as they could have but it was a moves based match and not my cup of tea. This also started out very slow. I also do not think this should have followed Anarchy in the Arena.

Page goes for the Owen Hart trophy but then comes back down. They shake hands. 

Overall thoughts: It was a long show as usual. I liked the women's match and the FTR match. Briscoe/Ricochet had some good points but they picked the wrong day to do comedy. The Hurt's won as expected but the match didn't need to be on the show. Okada/Bailey beat my expectations as did Toni/Mina. Anarchy in the Arena had issues with comedy, the men refusing to attack the women for the easy win until later and weird stuff with Kidd and Okada not being involved. I liked that overall, but it was more of a 52/48 thing where it was close. The Paragon trios match was fine. I didn't like Page/Will but it coul have been worse. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 overall as it was a good show overall with most of the matches being hits.
