Continental Championship Wrestling Surge 5/17/2024

We see clips of Kevin Kantrell vs CJ Lionheart from last week. 

Odin is the bald one, Brian is in the gold and black, Aiden is in the vest and sunglasses and Miles is in the pants and jacket

The Diamond Exchange come out. Brian Blitz complains about not being mentioned. He says they are the greatest faction in CCW history. He says the belts they have aren't going anywhere.

Odin Davenport says he has gold around his shoulder and says no one can take it from him. Aiden Johnson they are the big 3 in CCW. Miles Blackwell talks. He says none of them have backed down from a fight and says they put the work in everyday. He says they aren't going anywhere except through the glass ceiling.

Shooter McGee vs Prince Cito

 

McGee has Chris Turner and a female with him who may be named May. They lock up. McGee site headlocks him then is wristlocked. Cito gets out and reverses it on him. Cito side headlock takeovers him.

Cito does another side headlock takeover. McGee side headlocks him then shoulders him over. McGee is armdragged and armlocked. Cito dropkicks him for 2. McGee hits a nice punch and elbows him in the back of the neck. McGee hits him in the gut several times.

McGee snapmares him and elbows him in the head. Cito rolls him up for 2. Cito lariats him then suplexes him. McGee hits a nice lariat then knees him in the gut several times. Cito boots him off the ropes and step up enzugiri's him for 2.

Cito is thrown out and Chris Turner stomps him. May slaps Cito. McGee 2nd rope elbows Cito in the head and Cito does a big bump for it. Cito spinning lariats him then hits a flying forearm for the win.

Thoughts: It was an average match. McGee has a really interesting build to him as he's a smaller guy but he's super bulky. He has a simple offense you'd see in like 1990's Memphis but it looks fine. Cito was the face here. They didn't get a ton of time and didn't do anything too crazy.

 

We get a video with a redacted "FBI" video on Frankie Morris. Morris is outside in the woods and says he's somewhere he shouldn't be, training in the woods. He says he's on week 4 of his expedition trying to find himself. He says the crowd looked up to him and now he's a joke. He says he's reclaiming his name as Frankie Morris. He says he is slowly losing his mind. He says he doesn't know if he will make it back. 

We then end the show.

Overall thoughts: It's a small indy show so I'm not going to be too hard on it. We only got one new match here. It was average and nothing was wrong with it. We got one other segment as well. You don't really need to go see it.
