Toi hits a twisting springboard crossbody on Yuya suplexes him. The time limit is coming up and Toi hits a nice hurricanrana on Yuya. The time limit expires.
I don't know if this needed to go the full 10 minutes but it was fine. They did very simple wrestling and they didn't mess any of it up.
Yuya pushes Toi after.

They trade more forearms and Harash hits chest kicks. Harash then falcon arrows him for 2. Oka hits a nice roll-up then is high kicked, poisonrana'd and meteora'd for the Harashima win.
This was good. They were both real stiff with each other and made this one interesting because of it. I didn't really expect it out of this one and they wrestled like they didn't like each other at all.
King of DDT 2022 - Round 1 - Chris Bookes vs Naomi Yoshimura
Chris tries to dropkick Naomi to start, but he avoids it and lariats him. They trade shots in the crowd and Chris gets his head banged off steps. Chris then gets back body dropped onto the floor there. Chris pulls down Naomi's throat over a railing then ties Naomi's shoelaces to a rail. Naomi has to get his laces cut off then he takes the shoe off to get back in.
Chris starts stepping on his foot without the boot and works on it. Chris then pulls off the sock and stomps on the bare foot. Naomi hits a nice STO on him then bearhug belly to belly suplexes him. Chris goes for something off the 2nd rope and is lariated down then chokeslammed. Masa trips Naomi outside and Chris rolls him up for 2. Chris goes for a belt shot but takes a side thrown and Naomi wins it.
Nothing wrong with this. Naomi having to wrestle with only one boot was interesting and they did fine together before the surprise finish.
King of DDT Round 1 - Yuki Ueno vs KANON
Kanon won't shake hands with Ueno and laughs at him. Ueno headlock takeovers Kanon then Kanon headscissors him. Ueno flips over Kanon's back then is shouldered down. Ueno half nelson suplexes him and flying shining wizards him for 2. He then hits a double jump moonsault and wins it.
They tried for a great match here but it was just missing something. They had a bunch of time for this. If the crowd could have cheered it would have been a lot better. I think they just didn't pick the pace up enough early and they didn't have any big spots which might have taken it over the edge. It was still a good match but not what what it could have been.

Sasaki wants a handshake and Hino gives him it. Sasaki rolls him up early then Hino slams him. MJ Paul grabs Hino's foot then Hino hits a stiff lariat on Sasaki. Sasaki tries for a sunset flip and fails then takes another stiff lariat. Paul gets on the apron and is immediately chopped. Hino hits a top rope frogsplash. The ref counts and Paul pulls the ref out. Paul and Hino trade shots and Hino hits a stiff exploder on him.
The ref gets back in, Sasaki grabs him and low blows Hino twice. Sasaki then wins it.
I didn't like the booking on this one. The ref being pulled out should have been a DQ and the low blows were done too slow to be believeable. I also think Sasaki should have just been faster in general here.
King of DDT 2022 Round 1 - Jun Akiyama vs Yukio Sakaguchi
Slow start here. Yukio hits some kicks and kicks him to the outside. He then does a PK kick off the apron to a standing Jun on the floor. They fight on the floor with Jun hitting some knees. They come back in and Yukio hits kicks then takes a piledriver.
Jun hits some headbutts on him and they trade shots in the corner. Jun sliding knee's him for 2 then grounded guillotines him. Jun goes up top and Yukio jumps off the 2nd rope to kick him. Yukio then jumping knees him as he is laying on the top rope then PK's him for 2. Jun backdrops Yukio then hits a running knee on him. Jun then exploders him for 2.
Yukio pumping knees him then flying knees him in the corner. Jun then jumping knees him and Yukio flying pump knees him for 2. Jun then flying knees him and hits an exploder. Jun hits another exploder and some knees to the body. Jun then running knees him and hits some knees without the knee pad. Jun then exploders him again for 2 at 10 minutes. Jun hits another exploder and wins it.
It started off too slow. It was okay once they got more to the strikes and stuff but they didn't have a ton of time and neither are real fast guys, so the action didn't quite pick up like it should have. The selling was also questionable near the end of it.
King of DDT 2022 Round 1 - Yukio Naya vs Kazusada Higuchi
They stare down to start and Naya pushes him. They test of strength and shoulder battle. Naya wins that battle then they both shoulder each other over. Naya hits some stiff forearms and a hard knee. They trade chops then they trade kicks for chops then Naya face kicks him. Naya hits a nice forearm then Higuchi hits a big dropkick. Naya then superplexes Higuchi. Higuchi hits a hard lariat then takes a hard knee. They then do it again and Higuchi hits headbutts. Naya hits a swinging side slam and a big choke slam. Higuchi hits a claw STO then takes hard knees to the gut then hits a big lariat. Higuchi then football shoves him. Higuchi hits a nice doctor bomb for 2 then a claw uranage to win it.
This was a strong hoss match and exactly what you would want out of these two. It's one of the better matches I've seen either guy have. It was stiff and high impact and they really did beat the crap out of each other. I really enjoyed this one and recommend it.
Overall thoughts: It looked like a good card and it was. The main totally delivered and Okatani/Harashima was unexpectedly good.
