We are in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Corey Graves are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive. 

Zaria comes out to talk. She says she spent so long in Sol's shadow that she forgot what the sun felt like.She says we are finally looking at the NXT Women's champ. She says she did this on her own. She says she was overlooked while people talked about Sol and Kendal and now she's the champ. She says the title is a course correction and she doesn't owe anyone any gratitude. 

Kelani Jordan interrupts. She congratulates her. She says she's here to give her advice. She says the same people who chat "you deserve it" will flip on her before the week is over. She says nothing she does will ever be good enough and says she will still be overlooked. She says Lola will have an easy win against her as she folds when the lights are brightest. 

Kendal Grey comes out. Kendal says she beat Kelani and says Kelani wishes she was going to The Bash like her. She says she will watch her beat Lola and become the NXT Women's champ. 

Lola Vice comes out. Lola tells Zaria to get over Sol and tells Kendal that she's not champ but is acting like she is. She says she beat her before and will again. They argue and Robert Stone comes out. Lola thinks he wants to make a tag match between them and says it's her and Kendal vs Kelani and Zaria tonight. Stone says, "And that is why we have the best women's division in wrestling". 

NXT North American Title #1 Contender's Match - Tavion Heights vs Jackson Drake

Tav dumps him backwards and JD goes for the pin. Tav shoulders him over and slams him. Tav rolls him into an F-5. Tav karelin's lifts him. Tav armlocks him. JD twists his neck with his feet. Tav does a release capture suplex. Tav hits corner spears and dumps him overhead. JD flying knees him out. JD then throws him hard into the steps. 

We go to break and return. Tav overhead suplexes him. Tav crossbodies him. Tav lariats, headbusters and overhead suplexes him. Tav flying lariats him for 2. Tav hits corner spears. JD backrolls him for 2. JD handspring cutters him. JD running ssp's him for 2. JD dropkicks him out. JD low topes him. JD is up top and Tav overhead belly to belly suplexes him off the top. Tav top rope splashes him for 2.

JD misses a 450 off the top. Tav overhead belly to belly suplexes JD onto The Vanity Project outside. The Project interfere and Myles Borne stops them. Tav belly to belly suplexes JD and pins him.

Thoughts: They did a little bit much here but it was one of Tav's better matches. He had some great looking offense and threw JD all around. This was a lot better than I expected and I'd definitely run this one again. I liked this.

Borne raises Tav's hand after. Tav says he doesn't need this and can do it himself.

Stone talks to Aaron Rourke, Matt the judge from last week and Hank and Tank. The Birthright walk in. Lexis King thanks Stone for giving them the respect they deserve by putting Arianna in the Women's Speed Tournament. Matt asks if King is Temu Bret Michaels. Uriah makes a comment about his dad and Matt tells him to thank daddy for his job. Stacks says Matt doesn't belong here. Hank and Tank start talking about fighting. Stone breaks it up.

Women's Speed Tournament 1st Round - Thea Hail vs Izzi Dame

Thea tries to open a beer and struggles to do so.

Thea crucifixes her for 2. Thea sunset flips her for 2. Izzi lariats her. Thea kneelifts her then is dropped chest first on the mat for 2.Thea side headlock takeovers her. Thea jumps on her outside and Izzi rams her back into the apron edge. Izzi facekicks her. Thea stomps her hands and basement dropkicks her. Thea flipping neckbreakers her for 2. Izzi flying knees her and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a short one. They rushed a little and it wasn't anything too special.

Wren and Kendal talk. Wren says she's holding her back. KG says she wants her in her corner at The Bash but Wren says she can't. They say they will both be champs. Lola Vice comes in. Her and KG argue about KG getting hit last week.  

We see Tony D'Angelo head to a pagoda. He meets Naraku there. Tony asks why he is here. Naraku says he has a contract for them to sign. Tony says he sees through him and knows he held the biggest title in Japan. He says he knows he ran with a pack of wild animals there. Naraku says not to judge him on the past but the warrior he is today. Tony says he's an evil man who left Japan for his title. Evil says he's right about that.

Tony says he won by any means necessary and had help, but he has come alone and is a man without his family. He says Naraku is wrong if he thinks he can win his title by himself. Tony says the title will stay with him. Tony asks for the contract and Naraku hasn't signed it yet. Tony asks if he's ready for war as he is. Tony leaves and Naraku says, "Evil is coming, ha-ha-ha".

Thoughts: Naraku was kind of entertaining here and did well.

We get a video on Jaida Parker vs Natalya.

Robert Stone is talking on the phone. Keanu Carver interrupts. Keanu wants to know who is lined up for him. Stone says he hasn't told him yet. EK Prosper walks in and is told he's facing Carver. Carver says he's stuck with EK while others get a title shot. EK says he's no scrub and will humble him next week. Carver says it looks like he's got a death wish.

Jaida Parker vs Natalya

JP backs her up in the corner. Nat hits punches on her. JP shoves her and is taken down. JP shoulders her over. Nat goes out and stalls a bit. They slap each other. Nat side headlock takeovers her four times. 

Nat top wristlocks her on the mat. Nat takes her over again. JP rolls her into a neck hold with both arms trapped. Nat superkicks her in the face. Nat slaps her and JP slaps her back. JP is swept on the apron and they double clothesline each other on the floor. We go to PiP break and return. 

Nat cobra twists her. JP baseball slides her outside. Nat forearms her down on the floor. Nat messes up Vic Joseph's notes at commentary. Nat sleepers her in the ring. JP STF's her. Nat ropebreaks. Nat takes her down and surfboards her.

Nat snapmares her into the ropes. Nat bangs JP's leg off the mat. They slap each other and JP suplexes her. JP lariats her down. JP facekicks her down. Nat is laid on the 2nd rope, JP chops her then step up butt drops her. JP running hip attacks her for 2. JP rolls up Nat for 2. Nat goes for the armbar. JP hits a running hip attack. JP walks up the steps and Nat pulls her down. Nat sends her into the steps. 

JP cradles her for 2. Nat spinning lariats her. Nat sharpshooters her and JP taps.

Thoughts: This was a good match. They were stiff with each other, the submissions looked good and it was an aggressive and rough fight. This was one of the better matches NXT has had in some time and one of the best matches Nat has had in her career. You gotta check this one.

Nat doesn't break the sharpshooter after. Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic come out and raise Nat's arms.

Mason Rook and Lizzy Rain talk. Tristan Angels comes in. He says he reps England properly and is the best dressed. He says he can officially refer to himself as Mr. NXT. Aaron Rourke questions him and says Shiloh was voted by the fans. Tristan says Shiloh is injured and out so he's taking his place as Mr. NXT. Aaron challenges him and Tristan says he should put the title on the line. Aaron then makes a joke about him coming up short during the swimsuit round of the pageant.

Women's Speed Tournament 1st Round - Arianna Grace vs Layla Diggs

Diggs backrolls her for 2 then rolls her up for 2. Diggs crucifixes her then is pulled into the buckles. They fight outside and AG's head is banged off the apron. They go back in and Diggs sitout gordbusters her. Diggs shining wizards her for 2. AG flying back elbows her for 2. 

AG suplexes Diggs then low diving forearms her. Diggs hits kicks on her. Diggs flips out of a lariat and hits a backwards kick on her. Diggs top rope moonsaults Birthright outside. AG plays dead then cradles Diggs as she gets in. AG pins her.

Thoughts: It went okay for their skill levels but it didn't get a lot of time and wasn't that good. They missed some offense here with some shots not connecting.

Dux, Dar, Legacy and Moreno talk. Dar says he didn't plan on being a team guy but Romeo Moreno changed his mind. Romeo says their styles work together and it feels so special. Dar says he found his partner. Legacy says him and Dux standing is their best chance to stand out. We see The Culling behind them. Dux says let's talk to Stone and make it happen.

We get a video on Tate Wilder. He talks about hurting his pinky finger while trying to do backflips. He says he's still chasing his first win and says let's strap it up and see where this ride takes them.

They announce a tailgate party for Great American Bash with hot dogs at the Performance Center.

We get an NXT Chronicle video on Saquon Shugars. He says he's been called every name in the book. He says he's no gangster. He says he ran into problems just based on where he lived. He says he saw things kids shouldn't see. He says he had to hustle out of the city and into wrestling. He says you won't catch him and just ask Darkstate. He talks about his time with Darkstate. He says he got everything he asked for from them. He says they robbed him blind of who he is. he says no one looks or wrestles like him and he will always hustle. He says he doesn't want to go back but will with Dion. He says he doesn't want to hurt Dion, he just wants to talk to him. He says he will show him he's up next and Dion is up never.

Dion watches on a monitor and says he will see who made a mistake and see him next week.

Lola Vice and Kendal Grey vs Zaria and Kelani Jordan

KJ and Lola lock up. Lola goes for a pin and knocks her over. KJ backrolls her. KJ low crossbodies her for 2. Lola slams her down. KG slingshot double stomps KJ. 

KJ flips KG over her back. KG dropkicks her. Zar pulls Lola down off the lock up. Lola hits leg kicks. Zar shoulders her over. Zar snapmares her. Lola hits her in the gut. Zar backdrops her. 

KG dropkicks Zar in the knee. Zar flying knees her out of the corner. KJ diving lariats KG from the apron. We go to PiP break and return. Lola hits body kicks on KJ then Zar. Lola hits a kick combo on KJ. Lola corner hip attacks KJ. Zar pump kicks Lola down. Zar spinning lariats Lola. KJ top rope frogsplashes Lola for 2.

KJ superkicks Lola. KG overhead belly to belly suplexes KJ. KG hits germans on KJ. KJ wasteland's KG. Zar tags in and hits a big spear on KG. Zar goes for an F-5 and KG turns it into an armbar. Zaria lifts her and slams her to escape. KJ and Lola flying pump kick each other down at the same time. 

KG drops Zar with a spinning shot. Lola tags herself in. Zar botches an alley oop. Lola guillotines her. KG ankle locks KJ at the same time. Zar spears the post when Lola moves. KJ asai moonsaults KG outside. Lola la silla's KJ off the apron. Zar spears Lola on the floor. Zar sees Tatum near the rails and she goes after her. Lola roundhouse kicks Zar. Lola uraken's Zar and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a fun tag. It had a lot of fast action and the girls all worked pretty well together. They had some different styles here and it worked a lot better than it should have,.

Tatum jumps off the rail onto Zar after and superkicks her. They fight and security tries to break it up. Lola holds up her belt, KJ tries to grab it. KG tries to grab it from KJ and nails Lola on accident while KJ laughs. 

Overall thoughts: We only had one men's match here. Everything but the women's speed matches were fine. Tavion/Drake was much better than expected and it was one of Tavion's better outings. That was fun. Jaida/Natalya was one of the best matches on WWE TV in some time and is worth checking out. The main was fine as well. I also did like the Naraku/Tony segment. I'd give it a higher 6 out of 10 as it was good and there was some strong wrestling here. It would have been higher had it not been for those Speed matches.
