CMLL on Televisa 2/9/2013

CMLL on Televisa 2/9/2013  taped 2/1/2013 at Arena Mexico

Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/cmll-on-televisa-222013-review.html

Fuego, Hombre Bala Jr., Super Halcón Jr. vs Arkángel de la Muerte, Nitro, Skándalo
Fuego walked up his opponent and sunset flipped him to win the first for the tech's.
Rudos got the 2nd fall with top rope dropkick onto the face of Fuego.
Rudos got the third with the double submissions above. The 2nd fall was the big highlight here. Hombre Bala Jr. came alive and Fuego looked good as well. Hombre pretty much cemented his spot here and I argue that this worth inclusion on my list just for the 2nd fall alone. I didn't like the rudos dropkicks to the inner thights/crotch spots in the 3rd but the rest was fine. Rating:***

Dark Angel, Estrellita, Marcela vs Amapola, Princesa Blanca, Princesa Sugheit
Tecnicas get the 1st as Amapola gets DQ'd
The technicas got the win here as pictured above. This was all Estrellita vs Amapola. It might as well have been a singles match with all the focus being on them anyway. Marcela was in for like 10 seconds max. I'm not real enthralled by Estrellita vs Amapola hair match but believe me, it is coming. Estrellia reminds me of one of those girls you see in the summer who is wearing revealing and skin tight clothes but doesn't have the body for them.

Máximo, Rush, Shocker vs Mephisto, Terrible, Último Guerrero
Rudos grab the 1st

Tecs grab the 2nd
Tecnicos got the win with a senton and a Maximo kiss. Very little wrestling in all of this but it was really about Atlantis and Ultimo going at it and then a little of Rush/Terrible going at it. The Atlantis/Ultimo stuff was fun and I did like Maximo Monito.

Overall thoughts: CMLL has started the build for their upcoming big show as the last two matches were loaded with hate. The opener was good so overall this wasn't bad.
