TNA International Title - Steve Maclin (c) vs Mance Warner

Steve hits a back elbow and Mance chops him. Steve drops him with a forearm, flying knees him then topes him outside. Mance's face is banged off the apron then Steve elbow drops him off the apron outside. Steph de Lander trips Steve on the ropes. They trade shots and Mance spinebusters him for 2.

Steve rebound lariats him. Steve hits lariats then hits a thesz press with punches. Steve then backdrops him. Steve hits another lariat for 2. Steve misses a crosshairs spear. He gets distracted by Steph then takes a baseball slide and a ddt on the floor.

Mance hits a headlock driver for 2. Mance headbutts him on the apron then Steve death valley drivers him on the apron. Steve is distracted by Steph and is crotched up top. Mance top rope superplexes him. Mance running knees him for 2.

Mance ear claps him then tornado ddt's him for 2. They chop each other then Steve hits forearms. They knee each other in the face and lariat each other. They then do a double lariat. Mance takes a crosshairs spear and Steve hits a KIA for the win.

Thoughts: It was rather heavy on the brawling with lots of forearms, chops and more strike based moves. It was okay enough here but nothing that will knock your socks off. Steve won as expected as he just won the title and there was no reason to take it off of him yet. 

Elijah is interviewed by Gia. He says he feels hot tonight and says it's over 100 degrees here. He says Trick isn't used to the heat. He says Trick is built on hype and not heart. He says he will bring the TNA Title back where it belongs. He says Trick will find out why in TNA, they walk this way.

Matt Hardy gets on the mic before his match. Leon is dressed up like Jeff and Matt calls him "Leon Slater-Hardy". Matt says their partner is from here in Tempe, AZ and it's "The Home Town Man" who is Cody Deaner in a mask.

The System (Moose, JDC, Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) vs. The Hardys (Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy), Leon Slater and The Home Town Man

JDC and Leon go at it. JDC side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Leon leg sweeps him then they stand off. Leon handspring back elbows JDC. Matt 2nd rope elbow drops JDC's shoulder then bangs JDC's arm off his shoulder. Jeff elbows JDC's arm from the 2nd rope. Home gets in and hits JDC's arm off the 2nd rope.

Home hits punches on Eddie then does running lariats. Home then bulldogs Eddie and hits mounted corner punches. Home then hits a sliced bread on Eddie. The heels are all then sent out. Moose boots Home in the gut. Home then hits corner punches but gets atomic dropped. Moose facekicks him. Home gets a tag. Jeff then knocks Eddie down several times. Jeff legdrops Eddie's crotch and elbow drops him for 2.

JDC stomps on Jeff. Moose then stomps and foot chokes Jeff. JDC chinlocks Jeff. Jeff hits whisper in the wind on Eddie and Brian. Matt and Moose get in. Matt hits punches and boots him out of the corner. Matt 2nd rope tornado ddt's Moose. JDC's head is banged off the buckles. Jeff jumps off of Matt's back and splashes Moose. Matt side effects Moose. Leon springboard splashes Moose.

Matt takes a senton and a top rope JDC legdrop for 2. Home cleans house on the heels then topes Moose. The faces hit triple twists of fate. Moose apron powerbombs Home. Jeff dives off the apron onto Moose. Leon leg lariats Moose. Matt hits a twist of fate on Moose. Jeff top rope swantons Moose.

Leon misses a move off the top then tope con hilos the heels over the post. Leon springboards and is caught with a spear by Moose in mid-air. Moose runs at him and Leon gets the surprise cradle pin to win.

Thoughts: We all kind of knew what this would be as we've seen The Hardy's vs The System a bunch of times. It was a solid and fun match. Leon getting the win was an upset and likely will get him an X-Division Title shot off of it. I'm not a big fan of wrestlers getting the boot then returning under a mask. It's not very babyface like and it's not real believable.

TNA Injury Report

Rosemary is out after her Monster's Ball match. Tessa Blanchard is still out due to TMJ. Stone and Marella are cleared for tonight.

Mustafa Ali vs Jason Hotch

Order 4 is with Ali and not Jason. Skyler is on commentary. Ali wristlocks Jason. Jason kips up and reverses it. Ali headflips out and snapmares him into a pin attempt. Ali bridges out of a pin. Ali takes him down by the wrist twice. Jason backflips out of it then does a pin attempt.

Jason backslides him. Ali armdrags him then they trade armdrags and headflip up together. Jason chops Ali in the corner and they trade shots. Ali shoulders him over then Jason dropkicks him. Jason dropkicks him through the ropes. Jason gets on the 2nd buckle outside and is german'd on the apron. Ali tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Jason on the apron edge.

Skyler complains about Ali doing this and says it's supposed to be an exhibition. Ali rolls in and neckbreakers Jason. Jason splits Ali's fingers then tornado ddt's him off the 2nd rope to the floor. Jason top rope crossbodies Ali for 2. Ali ear claps Jason then Jason corkscrew kicks him. Jason hits a standing spanish fly for 2.

Tasha gets mad at what's going on and leaves. Jason tope con hilos Ali. Jason goes up top and splashes Ali for 2. Jason spinning torture rack bombs him for 2. Ali lariats Jason. Ali rolls and gets caught with a jumping double knee press. Ali 2nd rope diving tornado ddt's him. Ali then hits a top rope 450 but pulls him up on the pin attempt.

Skyler complains to Ali. Ali top rope 450's and Jason gets his knees up. Ali belly to belly suplexes Jason into the buckles. Ali 450's Jason off the top and wins.

Thoughts: They did a little too much here like always so I wasn't a huge fan of it. I do like the story they tried to tell though with Ali going hard on Jason and Order 4 trying to stop him. Jason was a decent face here.

Syler tries to help up Jason after. Ali yells at Skyler. Ali offers Jason a handshake, Jason goes for it then Ali walks past him. 

We see clips from the pre-show women's trios match with The Elegance Brand winning. The Inspiration then came out after, making their TNA return.

Gia interviews The Iinspiration. They say they both got pregnant so they were gone. They say they see discount perfume models who think they are dominant. They say the lights are shining brighter and they are here to inspire.

First Class Penthouse

AJ Francis and KC Navarro talk on the stage. AJ says it's been a first class summer. KC says they saved TrickNA in NXT. KC says AJ got them some security. They talk about instagram views. They talk about Mike Santana interrupting them and causing them trouble lately. AJ says Mike isn't here tonight though as he says Mike knows he would put the boots to him. We then see Mike Santana entering the building on the tron behind them. KC tells AJ to look at the tron and the lights go out.

Mike Santana then comes out and beats up AJ's security. Mike grabs KC while AJ runs. Mike powerbombs KC through a table. AJ then hits Mike with a champagne bottle from behind. AJ then drags KC to the back.

TNA Knockouts Title - Masha Slamovich (c) vs Lei Ying Lee

Indi Hartwell is on commentary for this. Masha wristlocks her and Lee reverses it. Masha cartwheels and headflips out then armdrags her into an armlock. Lee legsweeps her. Lee is popped up and dropkicks her. Lee hits mounted corner punches then overhead suplexes her for 2.

Masha running lariats her. Masha 2nd rope twisting swantons her outside. They fight outside. Lee walks up the steps with Masha on her shoulder and drops her on the floor. Lee stomps on her in the corner. Lee neckbreakers her for 2. 

Masha hits kicks on her then superkicks her on the apron. Lee trips Masha and punches her in the head on the apron. Lee bridging ddt's her on the floor for 2. They trade forearms on their knees then get up and trade. Masha hits various strikes and takes a spin kick to the head.

They fight on the buckles. Masha walks up the buckles and hurricanrana's her. Masha hits a pumping knee in the corner and facekicks her. Masha then koppo kicks her for 2.

Masha back body drops her. Lee spinning back elbows her. Lee does a nice suplex out of a blocked spinning high kick. Lee PK's her. Lee meteora's her for 2. They fight on the buckles and Masha hits a 2nd rope death valley driver. Masha running knees Lee for 2.

Lee rolls her up for 2 then Masha hits a short piledriver to win.

Thoughts: It was the longest match I've ever seen Lee have. I liked it. They traded a bunch of strikes here and the two matched up alright. It wasn't great but it was better than I expected and raised Lee's stock some.

Killer Kelly then comes out after with a chain. She drops the chain in front of Masha and Masha grabs it. Kelly then leaves.

The doc wants to check on Mike Santana after. Mike says he's good. Others try to help settle Mike down and Mike leaves. 

Joe Hendry vs Frankie Kazarian

Kaz tries to hug him then Joe takes him down and pounds on him. Joe hits chops in the corner then throws him. Kaz's head is banged off the buckles then he is thrown over the top to the outside. Kaz's head is banged off the buckles and post. Joe slams him on the floor.

They go back in. Kaz hits him then Joe fallaway slams him. Kaz then slides out to the apron. Joe is eye poked on the apron and swept. Kaz bangs Joe's ankle off the steps. Kaz chop blocks Joe then stomps on him. Kaz knee drops Joe and hits kicks and stomps on Joe's knee.

Joe's knee is banged off the mat. They trade shots. Kaz single leg crabs Joe. Kaz irish whips Joe and Joe holds his knee in paint. Kaz backstabbers Joe then sliding lariats him. Kaz misses a springboard legdrop. Joe running cutters Kaz.

Joe hits lariats on Kaz then fallway slams him. Joe hits a delayed suplex for 2. Kaz ankle locks Joe. Joe then hits an olympic slam for 2. Kaz blocks a chokeslam and hits a spinning flatliner for 2. Joe sunset flips him for 2. Kaz gets on his back and chickenwings him. Joe escapes and Kaz sweeps him on the ropes. Kaz then uses the ropes and pins Joe.

Thoughts: WHAT? WHY? IS TNA ON DRUGS? Stupidity is not even the word for this call. Stuff like this is why TNA was in the predicament it's in where it had to run to WWE for help. It's not a money issue. It's not a talent issue. It's a creative issue. Whoever booked this should be fired.

Gia Miller interviews Kaz after. Gia says it wasn't a clean win. Kaz says that's called winning and says it's something Joe has forgotten how to do.

Robert Stone, Tessa and Victoria Crawford talk to Matt Cardona. Stone says he knows Matt is the special ref tonight and wants to align their interest together. Stone hands him an envelope full of money. Matt says he won't turn down free money. Stone says maybe if Tessa or Crawford get involved, maybe they won't get DQ'd.

TNA Tag Titles - The Nemeth Brothers (Nic Nemeth and Ryan Nemeth) (c) vs. The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz)

Ryan takes down Zach and fireman's carry takeovers him. Zach takes a double back elbow and a double elbow drop. Nic wristlocks Zach and Zach armdrags him. Zach hits a basement dropkick. Nic is then held for a baseball slide for 2.

Ryan wristlocks Trey. Trey wristlocks him  then Zach 2nd rope elbows Ryan in the arm. Zach 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Ryan. Nic distracts Zach, Zach gets sent out then Nic superkicks Zach.

Nic pounds on Zach. Nic elbow drops Zach for 2. They each hit shots. Zach takes corner spears. Zach's head is banged off the buckles then Nic foot chokes Zach. Nic stomps Zach's hand. Zac goes for the tag and Trey is pulled off the apron. Zach takes a backdrop + neckbreaker combo.

Zach handspring jumping knees Nic. Trey is tagged in and top rope dropkicks Ryan. Trey hurricanrana's him. Ryan takes a neckbreaker and a standing ssp for 2. Nic is tripped then double stomped. Trey and Zach then do stereo topes outside.

Trey top rope diving meteora's Ryan then Zach hits a top rope swanton on Ryan for 2. They do a weird spot where Ryan takes a bridging ddt, Nic goes for the reverse ddt on Zach at the same time and Trey top rope blockbusters Nic sending all of them down.

The four trade and Zach crossbodies Nic over the top. Ryan rolls up Trey for 2 then hits a jumping ddt for 2. The faces hit stereo superkicks then corner attacks. ach is lifted for flying corner dropkicks. Ryan is catapulted into a superkick and Zach is knocked down to the floor. Nic hits a danger zone on Trey and Ryan hits a jumping flatliner on trey to win.

Thoughts: The result was no surprise here as there was nothing to suggest The Nemeth's were going to lose. The match was decent though it did go a little long and I don't know if Nic was really put over enough here. 

Jody Threat shills TNA merch in the back. Eric Young comes in through the door and says this place belong to him. He yells at a security guard who tries to keep him out. He says the TNA Title is held by some NXT punk. Sami Callihan comes in and EY asks if it was him. Sami says he's mad too about an NXT guy holding the TNA Title. Sami tells EY to get his stuff together and to leave. Security then tells EY to leave. We are later told EY was suspended due to attacking a fan, which is what caused all of this.

Special Referee: Matt Cardona - Winner is the official TNA Director of Authority - Santino Marella vs Robert Stone

 

Matt Cardona checks for weapons pre-match and find brass knucks on Stone. Matt then finds that Santino has a stick. Stone goes out to stall as soon as it starts.

SM waistlock takedowns Stone and Stone ropebreaks. SM hits chops and forearms in the corner. Stone goes out and SM hits him outside. They go into the crowd and SM hits him out there. Stone is crotched on the hockey board rail. SM tries to get in but Stone's buddies block SM. Stone's buddies then choke SM on the ropes.

Stone is sent chest first into the buckles then SM's buddies abuse Santino. Stone 2nd rope elbow drops SM then chinlocks him. SM backdrops him and suplexes him. SM goes for the cobra but Tessa takes it and runs away with it. Stone tries to pin SM with his feet on the ropes. Matt sees it and stops the count.

Stone pushes Matt and Matt pushes him back. SM gets a 2 count on stone. Stone and SM double clothesline each other. Stone grabs his badge and Matt stops him from hitting SM with it. Crawford then gets in the ring and scissors kicks SM for 2.

Stone piefaces SM. They trade punches. SM hiptosses him then Crawford trips SM. Stone low blows SM for 2 in a botched count as Matt just stopped counting. Stone goes up top and Ariana Grace crotches Stone up top. SM superkicks Stone. SM headbutt drops him.

Grace gives SM a back-up cobra. SM then hits Stone with it and wins.

Thoughts: It was all smoke and whistles here. They didn't do a lot in this one but various strikes and simple moves. It wasn't that great of a match but at least Santino won here. Matt and Santino also botched a kick out spot at one point. 

 

Gia interviews Santino after at ringside. Santino is excited about the win. Santino said he couldn't have done it without the fans support. He said he will keep doing the best job he can for the company and the fans.

 

Elijah talks and plays guitar before his match. He asks who wants to walk with Elijah? Eli says he will take the title tonight and says in TNA, we walk this way.

TNA World Title - Trick Williams (c) vs Elijah

 

Eli wristlocks him. Trick headflips out and reverses it. Eli flips out using the ropes and side headlock takeovers him. Trick headscissors him then headlock takeovers him. They then stand off. Trick ducks punches and shakes at him. Trick then hits punches.

Eli hits Trick off the 2nd rope. Trick's chest is banged off the apron as the crowd chants, "We Want Truth". Eli just shrugs at them. Eli jumping hip attacks Trick on the apron. We see various wrestlers watching this in the back. Eli rope walk meteora's Trick. Trick goes up and over and then spinning facekicks him.

Trick hits mounted forearms then flapjacks him. Trick flying lariats him for 2. Trick cravates him and rolls with it. Trick jumping side kicks him. Trick pulls the 2nd turnbuckle off.

Trick hits a cradle shock on Eli for 2. Eli flying lariats him. Eli hits back elbows then running facekicks him. Eli twisting suplexes him for 2. Eli hits a twisting neckbreaker for 2. Eli armdrags Trick off a rock bottom attempt but then Trick rock bottoms him for 2.

Trick upkicks him. Eli spins him on his shoulders in the alabama slam position and drops him on his chest. Eli backslides Trick. Eli sunset flips Trick then Trick pop-up uppercuts him. Eli magic screws Trick from the apron to the floor.  

 

Eli top rope elbow drops Trick for 2. They get stuck up top and AJ Francis comes out. Trick comes off the top and Eli misses a jumping knee that he is supposed to hit. They botch and AJ trips Eli into a reverse ddt. Eli plancha's AJ outside and sends him into the post.

Trick misses a guitar shot on Eli. Eli grabs the guitar. AJ hands Trick the TNA Title. Trick hits Eli with the title and Trick gets a 2 count. Trick pulls Eli into the exposed buckle then hits a trick shot for the win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. They had some sloppy moments here and the last portion of this was mostly shenanigans. Trick won as expected here as it's obvious Elijah is not the plan right now. 

 

Overall thoughts: It was a longer show. The first two matches were fine. Ali overdid it like usual but at least they had a story going in their match. Masha/Lee was decent and better than expected. Whoever booked Joe Hendry to lose to Kaz should be fired on the spot but screwing around with the faces has been a problem since the Jeff Jarrett days in TNA. The tag title match was okay. The last two matches were both not very good with some botches and lots of shenanigans. As I've said many times here, the last match plays a heavy role in how the show comes off and the last match ended this show on a poor note. It's hard to give this one a great rating when none of the matches were that memorable, Joe lost and the last two matches outright stunk. This card easily could have been a 7 out of 10 if not for the 2nd half of this show but I'm only giving it a 5 out of 10 due to the 2nd half. I wouldn't recommend this.
