AEW Collision 6/4/2025 Fyter Fest

Kazuchika Okada comes out after the main. He and Kenny end up fighting and Okada hits him in the gut. Kenny goes for an OWA and Okada retreats to the ramp.

We get a video on FTR's match tonight.

Ricochet does a promo. He says tonight is Fyter Fest and says there will be a lot of talent competing that he has his eyes on. He says he won't be competing in this crappy town but will be looking for people who have the attributes he is looking for. He says he wants people who will show that Ricochet is out of this world.

Will Ospreay vs Lio Rush

Lio grabs the leg and they end up going face to face. Lip slaps him. Will hits chops back. Lio's springboard headscissors is blocked. Lio eye rakes him then Will back body drops him. Lio goes out to stall. Lio handspring kicks Will off the apron then low topes him. We go to PiP break and return.
Lio gets on his back with a sleeper. Will hits a handspring corkscrew kick off the ropes. Will sitout spinning torture rack bombs him. Lio hits stikes and is superkicked. Lio poisonrana's him then does a seated springboard cutter for 2. Lio enzugiri's him then is caught off the 2nd rope with a cutter. Will hits an os cutter for 2.

Will sends him over the top onto Action then flying space tiger's both. Will springboard forearms him. Lio is on his shoulder and hits a ddt. Lio hits a top rope splash for 2. Will blocks a hurricanrana and hits a styles clash to win.

Thoughts: It went a little long and Lio got a lot more in than he should have. People like Lio should not be kicking out of the os cutter. The result was never in doubt here. It was pretty much as you would expect and I didn't love this.

Will is beaten up by Action after and takes a double team spinning torture rack neckbreaker. Adam Page then comes out and hits Action. The heels then run.

Adam Page gets on the mic after. He says if Will is gonna have his back, he'll have his. He says he's his own man and doesn't need help winning the title, especially from Will or Swerve. He says he will never need or accept help from Swerve. He says he will beat Mox and take the title. He says he will do it for all the fans and says it's a night for all of them. he says it'll be his night.

Jon Moxley shows up in the ring behind him. The other Death Riders come out and surround the ring. Will then comes back out with chairs and the heels leave.

Don Callis, Kyle Fletcher and Konosuke Takeshita are interviewed. He says he accepted Cole's challenge and says he will send his Family to take care of him. He says he's not done. He says Bandido cost him a lot of money. He says to bring The Outrunners and he will show them Proto-Shita. He then brings in Hechicero, who talks in Spanish. KT talks in Japanese. 

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs Atlantis Jr. and Templario

Jr and Cash go at it and Cash shoulders him over. Jr headlocks him then flying headscissors him. Jr rolls him up for 2. Cash backs off. Dax and Temp go at it. Dax wristlocks him. Dax shoves and slaps him. Temp step up enzugiri's him.

Dax pokes him in the eye and chops him. Temp chops back. Temp fights off FTR with pumping knee. Jr and Temp hit stereo superkicks then Jr is popped up into a double dropkick. Everyone goes out. The faces hit punches.

Temp flips out of a german off the buckles. Temp rolls and is caught with a Dax flapjack for 2. We go to PiP break, full break and return. Dax back elbows Temp out. Jr gets out of a double suplex. Temp hits a top rope double crossbody. Temp and Jr hit stereo superkicks. FTR take stereo lariats over the top. The faces then do stereo topes on them.

Dax takes a 2nd rope dropkick + german combo for 2. Jr cutters Dax then drops Temp onto him for 2. Temp la magistral's Dax for 2. Temp victory rolls Dax for 2. Temp top rope crossbodies Dax and pops up Cash into the buckles. Temp rolls up Cash for 2.

The faces break up a shatter machine for a 2 count on dax. Jr and Temp superkick Dax. Temp goes for a suplex, Dax trips Temp and Cash pins Temp.

Thoughts: The match was solid but I didn't like the booking of this one. Jr and Temp could have used a win here to get some credibility but they ended up losing. I think Temp's leg was supposed to be held on the pin but Dax couldn't reach it. FTR worked well with the luchadores.

Stokeley Hathaway gets on the mic after. He says FTR is the winningest team in AEW history. Stoke says everyone falls to FTR. The crowd boos and Dax said Denver had their chance and don't have to hear him talk. FTR then leaves.

The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) and Bandido vs The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita, Kyle Fletcher and Hechicero)

The Family has like 10 different members and they have to resort to using Hech. The Runners are wearing pink lucha masks.

Hech trips Band and ties his legs up. Hech trips him. Band armdrags him and they stand off. Band does a tilt-a-whirl armdrag. Band springboard headscissors Hech. Band is flipped into a grounded sleeper then Kyle and KT put abdominal stretches on The Runners before taking hiptosses. The faces hit triple dropkicks.

Band's tope con hilo is caught and he is powerbombed on the floor. Hech then suicide dives the faces outside. A Runner is sent into the rail and the other Runner is armbarred by Hech. We go to PiP break and return. 

Turbo gets in and hits punches on the heels. He then slams the heels. Turbo ropewalks and armdrags Hech. Band and Hech trade forearms. Hech and Band get nearfalls on each other then facekick each other at the same time.

KT boots Band out of the corner. KT spinning blue thunders Band for 2. Band takes corner attacks. Kyle takes a double lariat then a double suplex. Band frogsplashes Kyle off the top for 2. Kyle blocks Band's offense then superkicks him on his asai moonsault attempt.

Band takes a double corner facekick. Band then 2nd rope hurricanrana's KT. Band tope con hilos Hech through the ropes. The Runners go for a double elbow drop but both take suplexes. KT and Kyle hit stereo corner fackicks then a falcon arrow + brainbuster. Kyle gets the win.

Thoughts: It wasn't quite as good as it could have been but I liked it It was an athletic match as you would expect. The Runners didn't really ham up the mask stuff as much as you would think though and it was pretty much all serious wrestling.

Penelope Ford and Megan Bayne do a promo. Ford says Anna Jay say what happened to harley and should have just bowed down. We then see Meg grabbing Anna and walking her to the stage. Meg tries to throw Anna off the stage but Yay Melo returns and breaks it up. She's wearing facepaint and has brown hair now. Security breaks up that fight.

Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn are interviewed. Bowens says we need to have a month of big moments and says he will whip Kyle Fletcher's @ss next week. He says Kyle will get whooped by the 5-tool wrestler next week.

ROH Television Title 4-Way - Nick Wayne (c) vs AR Fox vs Lee Johnson vs Sammy Guevara

Ricochet is on commentary. Nick and Lee are sent out to start. AR and Sammy kip up together and try dropkicks at the same time. Nick is pulled out and then AR tope con hilos Lee. Sammy chops Nick and corkscrew dropkicks him. AR springboards into a jumping knee then is tope'd by Sammy. Sammy then corkscrew suicide dives outside.

Lee hits a tope con hilo on Sammy. AR vaults off the post with a moonsault on Lee. Blake Christian then gets involved and flip dives onto AR off the steps.

We go to PiP break and return. Sammy jumping knees Nick. Nick backslides him for 2. Sammy jumping knees him then flips him into a GTH. Lee rolling death valley drivers Sammy then standing moonsaults him for 2. 

Lee takes a dragon suplex from Nick. Nick and AR stare down. Nick facekicks him and they trade forearms. AR thesz presses him with a punches. AR facekicks him then twisting brainbusters him. AR puts Lee on the 2nd rope, slingshots in and hits a piledriver off of it. AR top rope swantons everyone outside. Nick gets his knees up on AR's top rope swanton inside. Nick high kicks him then fisherman busters him for the win.

Thoughts: You know what this was. It was all flying here that didn't mean much. I guess it was an entertaining spotfest but I think I've reached my limits on tope con hilos for the night here. 

Thekla vs Lady Frost

This is Thekla's AEW debut. Lady is better than Thekla in every way and is gonna lose here.

Thek corner forearms Lady then superkicks her in the head. Thek then does an armlock while pulling her mouth. Lady superkicks her in the side of the face. Thek facekicks her on the ropes twice. Lady hits forearms. Thek forearms her down. Thek spears her then submits her with the death trap to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. Thek didn't really impress here but it's not like they botched anything.

Thek then does a rings of saturn while pulling on Lady's mouth after. Queen Aminata comes out in underwear with a shoe and scares her off.

We go to break and return. Queen Aminata does a promo. She says every time someone new comes to AEW, they are trying to make a name for themselves by any means necessary. She says she's the one and only queen and says they stomp spiders in Africa. She challenges her for next week.

They announce Kenny Omega vs Kazuchika Okada title for title at All In.

Daniel Garcia & Paragon (Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs. The Don Callis Family (Josh Alexander, Lance Archer, Rocky Romero & Trent Beretta)

Rocky and Strong go at it. Rocky reverses a wristlock and they chop each other. Trent hits forearms on Cole. Cole jumping neckbreakers Trent. Josh slams Kyle for 2. Josh shoulders over Kyle then Kyle knees him in the gut.

Garcia gets in and cleans house. He then hits mounted corner punches on 3 opponents until Lance throws him off. We go to PiP break and return. Trent takes a pop-up gutbuster. Cole superkicks Lance then Strong dropkicks Lance through the ropes. Kyle flying knees Lance off the apron. Cole pump kicks Josh. Cole spinning enzugiri's Josh and backcrackers him for 2.

Strong rams Rocky into the rails outside then holds him for a leg lariat from Garcia. Strong rams Trent into Rocky in a chair. Kyle then flying dropkicks Trent and Rocky off the apron. Lance then cannonballs the other team from the apron. 

Josh straightjacket germans Cole for 2. Cole back body drops him. Cole hits a panama sunrise on him. Lance buckle choke slams Garcia. Lance then takes a high/low. Rocky hits a double sliced bread. Trent and Cole trade. Trent spinning forearms him and Cole pump kicks him.

Trent half-nelson suplexes Cole. Trent takes a canadian destroyer. Rocky superkicks Cole then Cole superkicks him. Cole hits the boom knee on Rocky and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a bit rushed here and they somehow went overtime on a 4-hour broadcast. It was fine but very fast paced and nothing too memorable.

Takeshita and Fletcher then stare at the faces from the ramp. 

Overall thoughts: I didn't watch this all at once but it must have been a long night to watch this and Dynamite at the same time. It was your usual B-show Collision with there not being a lot of starpower here. The opener went longer than it needed to and Lio shouldn't be going even with Will. I liked the FTR tag match but I didn't like the luchadores losing. Both Don Callis Family tags were fine and the 4-way was the spotfest you would expect. I wasn't impressed with Thekla's debut but it was short and she won as needed. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall as it was almost all wrestling but the matches were decent. I don't think it's anything you really need to see though. I was alright with this one overall and thought it was around average.
