Stardom 11/2/2024 - 14th Goddesses of Stardom Tag League Battle in Munkata (Goddesses of Stardom Tag League 2024 Day 4)

Maika talks on the mic before the show.

Saya Kamitani vs. Mina Shirakawa vs. Momo Kohgo vs. Rian vs. Syuri vs. Hanan

Mina dances to start things off and takes a double boot for it. Mina does her pose and dance and gets Hanan to do it with her. Saya then hits basement dropkicks. Syu and Saya hit dropkicks together then are dropkicked off the apron together. Momo is tripped into a PK then Rian hops over Mina's back with a double stomp on her. Momo 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Rian then Hanan does the same.

There's some video issues and the stream keeps fast forwarding. Syu and Saya end up fighting in the standards somehow and we end up missing the finish. It seems like Momo maybe wins but you can't even tell.

Thoughts: No rating for this as there were too many tech issues from Stardom's side and I bet we missed at least half the match.

Goddess of Stardom Tag League 2024 Blue Goddess Block - Saori Anou & Natsupoi vs. Lady C & Hina

C and Poi go at it. C goes for the giant swing but is rolled up. Poi rolls her into an armbar. C arms her into the buckles off of it. Hina slams Poi and Poi headhunters her for 2. Hina is put in like a double indian deathlock. Poi hair throws Hina and Hina is double teamed in the corner.

Poi hair throws Hina again and foot chokes her. Poi basement dropkicks Hina in the back. Poi hits chest forearms on Hina then Hina hip throws her. C comes in and shoulders Poi over. C giant swings Poi then she giant swings Anou. C hits a double lariat for 2.

C chops Poi then Poi dropkicks her. Poi dropkicks her through the ropes. Anou 2nd rope dropkicks C for 2. C facekicks Anou. Hina dropkicks Anou. Hina backbreakers C then crabs her. C facekicks Hina. Hina flying neckbreakers C. Hina takes a double dropkick then double kicks from her opponents. Hina then takes a double basement dropkick. Anou takes a double clothesline then Hina STO's her for 2.

Hina hip throws Poi then crabs Anou. Hina switches to the half crab and C ropebreaks. Poi hits a double crossbody off the top then Anou fisherman suplexes Hina. Hina does a drop on Anou then Anou step up enzugiri's her. Poi superkicks Hina into a backslide and bridge from Anou. Anou pins Hina.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good as expected. Hina and C can do moves without hurting people and not a lot else. There were no heels or faces here and there was no greater logic to this.

Goddess of Stardom Tag League 2024 Red Goddess Block - AZM & Miyu Amasaki vs. Natsuko Tora & Ruaka

Miyu and AZM hit dropkicks at the bell. Ruaka is tripped. The faces do a double cartwheel and dropkick. Ruaka pulls AZM off the apron. AZM and Miyu get sent into the seats outside. AZM is sent into the post. Ruaka chokes AZM with a shirt. AZM takes a double spinebuster then sentons from both opponents.

Tora spits mist at AZM. AZM takes corner attacks and Tora shoulders her over. AZM is knocked down and Tora suplexes her. AZM 2nd rope dropkicks Tora. Miyu corner back elbows Tora and basement dropkicks her. Miyu does the scholar collar on her but Ruaka breaks it up. Tora tornado ddt's Ruaka off of Tora.

Miyu hits dropkicks on Tora then Tora slams her. Miyu does a bridge pin on Tora for 2. Tora back body drops her and hits a lariat. Miyu no sells it and Tora takes a double suplex. Miyu hammerlocks ddt's her.

AZM and Ruaka go at it. AZM armbars her. They trade forearms and AZM armbars her again. Ruaka ropebreaks. AZM misses a double foot stomp off the top then Tora shoulders her over. Tora cannonballs AZM. The heels take attacks in the corner and Ruaka takes a double dropkick. Ruaka double lariats Miyu and AZM. AZM takes a double sitout chokeslam. Ruaka top rope splashes AZM for 2.

Tora hits Ruaka with the box when AZM moves. AZM high kicks Ruaka then top rope double stomps her for 2. Ruaka lariats AZM over. AZM tries to roll her up and Ruaka reverses it. Ruaka gets the pin.

Thoughts: It was an okay tag with a surprise result. They got enough time and did a little more than they had to here which made it better. It was a simple match with the heels being heels and the faces being faces.

Goddess of Stardom Tag League 2024 Blue Goddess Block - Mei Seira & Kohaku vs. Yuna Mizumori & Aya Sakura  

Mei and Yuna side headlock each other. Yuna shoulders her over and Mei kips up. Yuna armdrags Mei. Yuna rolls her up for 2 and they stand off. Yuna takes a double team basement dropkick. Koh ddts Yuna then basement dropkicks her.

Koh crabs Yuna. Yuna back body drops her. Aya gets in and barely assists on a double back body drop attempt. Aya sleepers Koh. Yuna clubs on Koh and dropkicks her. Koh dropkicks Yuna from the buckles.

Mei comes in and hits a double springboard dropkick. Yuna and Mei trade forearms. Yuna 2nd rope diving shoulderblocks Mei. Mei superkicks Yuna in the face and running headhunters her. Yuna hits a big lariat on Mei.

Aya gets in. She slams Mei then spinning heel kicks her in the corner for 2. Mei jumping spin kicks her. Koh gets in and dropkicks Aya on the ropes. Koh then top rope dropkicks her for 2. Koh suplexes Aya for 2.

Koh takes a kick + lariat combo. Yun and Aya then hit stereop dropkicks on both opponents. Aya top rope plancha's both opponents outside. Mei and Koh do a double team that doesn't hit then Koh running knees Aya. aya triangles Koh and it gets broken up. Koh hits a big forearm on Aya. Koh takes a lariat and goes into the backslide off of it for 2.

Aya water wheel drops Koh for 2. Aya buzzsaw kicks Koh for 2. Aya runs at Koh and Koh rolls her up with a bridge to win.

Mei and Yuna fight more after and Koh breaks it up. Aya slaps Koh.

Thoughts: Yuna and Mei tried but it wasn't that good. Aya's offense didn't look good here and there were some sloppy moments with moves totally missing.

Goddess of Stardom Tag League 2024 Red Goddess Block - Tam Nakano & Sayaka Kurara vs. Tomoka Inaba & Ranna Yagami

Ran leg kicks Saya to start. Ran takes her down. They chain wrestle and Ran armdrags her. Saya dropkicks her then Ran does a weird takedown with the arm and armbars her. Saya ropebreaks. Ran slams Saya then kicks her in the back. TI hits boots on Saya in the corner then rolls her into an armlock. TI kicks her in the back for 2. Saya dropkicks TI. Tam comesi n and hits a top rope crossbody on TI. Tam cartwheels out of a double lariat and hits a double basement dropkick.

TI pump kicks Tam from the side. Tam takes a double punch to the gut then a legsweep + thrust kick. Saya gets in and hits dropkicks on Ran. Saya and Ran trade chest forearms. Ran chest kicks her. Ran kicks Saya in the back for 2.

Ran slams Saya then leg lariats her for 2. Saya rolls Ran up then twisting fishermans neckbreakers her for 2. Saya top rope dropkicks Ran. Ran high kicks Saya and both go down. TI punches Tam in the gut then Tam backdrops TI. Tam pumping knees TI.

TI snapmares Tam off the buckles. TI legsweeps Tam then ankle lokcks her. TI hits knees to Tam's head for 2. Saya gets in to help out Tam and gets knocked down. Tam and Saya do a hanging sleeper and hanging dragon sleeper to their opponents from the buckles. They then do a 2nd rope dropkick and top rope flying knee.

Tam tiger suplexes TI for 2. TI spin kicks Tam. TI takes a headhunter + spear combo from her opponents and Tam hits a nasty looking falcon arrow on TI to win.

Thoughts: Limb work in tag matches is always a tough one to pull off because you work one person's limb, then they tag out and that story ends. TI worked the ankle some here but it wasn't until later in the match and it was hard to focus on it. The limb work also slowed this down some. Tam's falcon arrow at the end on TI looked real stiff. I did like this overall and it made me want to see Tam vs TI at some point.

All four girls grab each other after. Saya and Ran trade forearms and Tam breaks it up.

Goddess of Stardom Tag League 2024 Blue Goddess Block - Starlight Kid & Suzu Suzuki vs. Azusa Inaba & Rina

Kid hits face kicks on Ran. Kid then takes a bulldog + basement dropkick from her opponents for 2. Suzu goes into the stands and runs down them to do a double driveby kick with Kid on Rina. Kid standing moonsaults Rina.

Suzu gets in and hair throws Rina. Rina hits chest forearms then is dropped with a forearm. Rina hip throws her. AI comes in and pump kicks Suzu. AI pump kicks Kid as well then hits a double bulldog on them. Suzu superkicks AI. AI pulls her down by the hair then Suzu rolling spears her.

Kid comes in. AI flips out of her snapmare and spin kicks her. Rina facekicks Kid on the ropes. Kid springboard twisting crossbodies Rina. They trade forearms. Kid gets tripped by AI then Rina double knee drops Kid off the ropes. Rina northern nights suplexes Kid for 2. Rina takes corner attacks and then a double basement dropkick. 

Kid hits a top rope 180 splash on Rina for 2. Rina tries a pin on Kid but gets rolled up. Rina does a headscissors on Kid with an armlock. Kid takes a pump kick + abdominal stretch crucifix bomb. Rina misses a top rope move on Kid then takes a double knee to the back.

Rina hits forearms on Kid then Kid fishermans suplexes her. Rina take a lariat + half-nelson slam. Rina backslides Kid and jack knifes her for 2. Rina reverse suplexes her for 2. Kid jumping kicks Rina then Rina facekicks her. Rina rolls up Kid and seems to hold the tights to pin her.

Thoughts: This was mostly Rina vs Kid. And that's fine as the two worked well together with Kid getting more out of Rina than anyone else has lately. AI and Suzu were just along for the ride for the most part here. I liked this one and thought it was alright.

Rina and Kid grab each other after. Rina then gets on the mic.

Maika, Hazuki, & Koguma vs. Mayu Iwatani, Saya Iida, & HANAKO

Why this is the main and not one of the tag league matches is unknown. Maika's team got flowers from sponsors beforehand.

Mayu does Kog's taunt/dance and Kog happily goes along with it. Mayu kicks her in the gut and Kog makes Mayu chase her into the seats. Kog is grabbed and sent in by Hana. Kog and Mayu finally go at it. Mayu headlock takeovers her, Kog headscissors her and they stand off with Kog's pose.

Maika and Saya shoulder battle and eventually knock each other down. Hana shoulders Kog over. Hana then shoulderblocks all 3 opponents down. Maika's team is worked on while on the ropes. Hana slams Haz then crabs her.

Hana boots Haz over. Kog is tagged in. Hana catches Kog's corner splash and backbreakers her. Hana slams Kog for 2. Mayu comes in and kicks Kog in the back. Mayu dropkicks Kog and the pin attempt is broken up.

Saya chops Kog then hits a chop flurry. Kog chop flurries Saya back. Mayu is in a seat in the front row watching. Saya shoulders Kog over then Kog ddt's her. Haz gets in and 2nd rope dropkicks Saya. Haz then crossfaces her. Haz is double hiptossed into the ropes but hits a double armdrag and a double dropkick off of it.

Haz's team then does triple stereo facewash kicks. Haz half-nelson slams Saya then misses a senton. Saya chops Haz and Haz boots her back. Haz and Saya trade chops for facekicks. Saya double sledgehammer shots her and running back elbows her. Saya elbow drops her for 2.

Mayu gets in. She rolls up Haz into a basement dropkick. Mayu and Haz trade forearms. Mayu loses the tail hanging from her shorts and Haz gives it to Kog. Kog corner splashes Mayu and Haz top rope dropkicks Mayu. Kog 2nd rope crossbodies Mayu.

Mika corner lariats Mayu then lariats her over. Maika fallaway slams her and tries to kip up but can't. Mayu slingblades Maika. Hana gets in and shoulders Maika over. Hana corner splashes her then knee drops her. They trade forearms. 

Hana takes a backracker into a ddt and sliding lariat for 2. Hana suplexes Maika. Hana drops Saya onto Maika for 2. Maika backdrops Hana then STO's her for 2. Mayu walks up the ropes and does a double armdrag. Mayu is irish whipped but does a tope off of it. Saya then top rope diving shoulders Maika. Hana facekicks Maika for 2. Hana sits Maika on her shoulder and backdrops her. Hana head and arm chokes Maika.

Maika lariats Hana then spinning lariats her for 2. Maika enko otoshi's Hana for 2. Haz and Kog hit stereo ddt's. Haz does a tope outside while Kog does a plancha off the buckles outside. Maika corner lariats Hana's back then puts her on her shoulders. Hana takes a double doomsday device from Kog and Haz. Maika michinoku drivers Hana and pins her.

Thoughts: It was a solid main. It got enough time. We had some different stuff going on here with Mayu and Kog goofing around and Hana/Maika having a hoss battle. We got a couple dives and everyone put out a good effort for this one.

Saya knocks Maika back with a chest bump after. Haz's team talks on the mic after. They point out someone in the crowd and talk to them after also.

Overall thoughts: We didn't see much of the opener due to tech issues. I liked the main, semi-main, the Tam tag and Tora tag. It was a good effort for a smaller show overall and I'd give this one a 6 out of 10 rating. This one made you want to see some of the girls go at it in singles matches like Kid vs Rina and Tam vs Tomoka Inaba.
