NWA Powerrr 11/26/2024

NWA Powerrr 11/26/2024

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/11/nwa-powerrr-11192024.html

The opening video had clips of Aron Stevens talking about Eric Smalls. Smalls will be put in a shark cage in an upcoming match.

Joe Galli and Danny Dealz are in the ring and talk about today's matches.

NWA World Title - Thom Latimer vs Race Allen

Thom hits a side headlock takeover and side headlocks him. Tom ducks some shots and hits a dropkick. Thom side headlock takeovers him. Race gets a kick in and pushes him out of the ring. Thom is pushed into the post and ring apron. Thom's back is rammed into the post.

Thom hits some shots in the ring then Race sleepers him. Thom jawbreakers and atomic drops him. Thom lariats him over. Thom backdrops him then ddt's him. Thom hits a pop-up sitout powerbomb and wins.

Thoughts: It was an even match with someone who has not been on the show before. I guess it's a way to get Thom on the show but I didn't buy that Race could win this.

Billy Corgan says Natalia Markova is a personal friend and says he has to trust his officials. He says the ref made the call in the Markova/Paige match and says Markova will face Kylie Paige and Hailey J in a triple threat match for the women's title.

NWA Tag Titles - Knox and Murdoch vs The Fixers (Jay Bradley and Wrecking Ball Legursky)

The Fixers attack before the bell. Knox and Murdoch go out. Murdoch gets slammed on the floor. The bell rings. Murdoch and Jay trade punches. Murdoch boots him out of the corner and 2nd rope diving forearms him. Knox facekicks Jay then Jay slams him. Corgan says Ball was struggling with his movement and he asked him to trim down.

Ball misses a splash on Knox. Knox boots him but can't lift Ball. Ball falls on him then hits a headbutt. Ball hits mounted punches. Ball hits punches in the corner then hits a corner splash. Jay yells, "we got money to earn". Jay clubs on Knox's chest.

Ball elbow drops Knox then chokes him. Ball slams Knox and fallaway slams him. Jay stomps on Knox then suplexes him. Jay abdominal stretches Knox and Ball pulls on Jay's arm for more leverage. Jay pulls on the beard.

Jay clubs on Knox then stomps on him. Konx crossbodies him. Ball and Murdoch go at it. Murdoch forearms him over then atomic drops him. They grab each other by the chin. Murdoch hits a top rope crossbody for 2. Ball takes a facekick then Knox slams Ball. Ball takes a high/low and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was a decent tag as always with these two teams though they didn't go too crazy with it. Unfortunately, it was totally random with no build at all. The Fixers didn't even win their last match for the US Tag Titles, so I don't know how they got this shot.

Danny Dealz interviews The Fixers after. Murdoch asks if we saw what they did to the fixers. Murdoch talks about Aron Stevens saying, he paid The Fixers (I guess?) to take their belts. They said they took the match with BFT at Samhain. Murdoch says they are coming for him and coming for blood.

We get clips of a Daisy Kill and Talos interview. Kill said he came back from a match and his ukelele was stolen. We then see clips of Kratos and Odinson with the ukelele.

Thoughts: We didn't see Kratos and Odinson taking the ukelele, so this is news. The way they showed it made it seem like it was clips of something we had seen but that was not the case.

Submission Match - Baron Von Storm vs "Magic" Jake Dumas

They had a match a month ago which I guess lead up to this. It hasn't been referenced since.

Billy says Jax Dane called him and said Storm wanted a match with Jake. Billy said he told him it had to be a straight match. Billy later said Jake asked for this to be made a submission match. Storm teases the claw and Jake backs up. Jake hits shots on Baron. Jake side headlocks Storm and Storm shoulders him over. Storm chops him on the ropes.

Storm lariats him then hits shots in the corner. Storm throws him and Jake goes out. Jake says he's going home. Jake gets back in. He goes for a submission and Storm hits back elbows. Jake puts a million dollar dream on him. Storm backs him up in the corner to break it.

Jake tries to hit Storm with his claw and misses. The ref and Jake fight for it. Jake gets his card from the hat and rakes the card into Storm's eyes. The ref sees it and asks Storm if Jake used it on him. Storm then claws the ref and is DQ'd.

Thoughts: This was short and not good. There maybe was a story here but it wasn't well explained, not shown and happened almost a month ago. The finish was dumb here with Storm getting DQ'd for putting the claw on the ref.

Father James Mitchell says there's going to be an intergender hell awaits match with Carson Drake and Max at NWA Samhain.

Joe Cazana and KC Cazana vs The Slimeballz (Tommy Rant and Sage Chantz)

There was a match a month ago with AJ and KC vs The Slimeballz in a four way. Maybe that built up to this. I don't know. I have no idea why Joe is in this either. Rant is the heavier one of his team and Sage is the smaller one.

Joe slaps Rant and exits. Rant back body drops KC. Rant takes double shots from The Slimeballz. KC gets his legs split and takes a headbutt to the crotch. Rant runs at him and hits him with his crotch. Rant rolls Sage onto him.

Joe hits Sage from the apron. Sage takes a double back elbow. Joe rakes Sage with his knee. KC clubs on Sage and chokes him on the ropes. KC slams Sage and Galli says it's like two middle schoolers fighting. KC does a two step then elbow drops Sage.

Joe chokes and bites Sage in the corner. Joe back body drops Sage. Joe snapmares him and slaps him around. Sage rolls up Joe out of nowhere.

Joe eye pokes his opponents after and they fight.

Thoughts:
The match was short. I have no idea why Joe was in this and if there was any build or reason for it, it wasn't exactly. This was mostly just strikes and simple moves. Joe did what he was supposed to do here.

Joe, AJ and KC Cazana are interviewed after. Joe says he hates everything about Tampa and is ready to go back to Tennessee, where they have winning football teams and wrestlers. He says he's sick of coming here and being put with The Slimeballz and Austin Idol. He tells them to come to Samhain so they can tear them up. He says we will do it by the book.

We then see The Immortals do a rap video called "Ahh-Woo". Kratos does the only lines in it and Odinson says nothing but "Ahh-Woo". I don't think they should be doing this as its out of character.

Overall thoughts: It was a super frustrating show to watch and cover and I hated it. The opener was random and Thom didn't exactly impress against someone he should have destroyed. I have no idea how The Fixers got a title shot but at least the match was okay. The Dumas/Storm match maybe had a build to it a month ago but they didn't explain it or reference it so who knows. The match had a very stupid finish too. I have no idea why Joe was in the main and again, they had a match a month ago that maybe built up to it, but they didn't explain it or reference it. Then we had Odinson and Kratos doing a rap video which they shouldn't really be doing. I would give this one a 2 out of 10 and I think this episode is a great example of why this promotion is so hard to watch. This show is easily the worst wrestling show next to ROH.
