Big Japan Pro Wrestling 11/10/2024

There's not a lot of people at this one and BJW really shouldn't be running this building at this point.

Aragon and Dean Draven vs The Brothers Gray (Damian Gray and Salem Gray)

Ara backs up DG in Damian (lighter hair) in the corner then shoulders him over. Damian hits a big chop on him and side headlocks him. Ara takes a double dropkick. Dean and Salem get in. They shove each other and trade forearms. Dean hits a bunch of chops in the corner then lariats him for 2. Salem takes a corner attack then a suplex. Ara legdrops him for 2.

Ara is driven into the corner and takes a head kick. Salem hits a punch flurry. Ara takes a double russian legsweep for 2. Damian stomps on Ara's leg then 2nd rope double axe handles him. Damian tries to pin him with a foot on the chest. Ara lariats Damian then Damian slingblades him for 2.

Damian camel clutches Ara then Ara backpack stunners him for 2. Salem forearms both opponents and corner spears Ara. Damian corner splashes Ara. Damian hits a facewash kick on Ara. Ara boots Salem out of the corner and hits a 2nd rope diving shoulderblock.

Dean comes in and exploders Damian then germans Salem. Dean 2nd rope dropkicks Damian for 2. Ara throws Salem into the post shoulder first. Dean corner lariats Damian then Ara cutters Damian. Dean top rope flying headbutts Damian and wins.

Thoughts: The Gray's kind of look like Juice Robinson clones. Damian's the better one of the two and is more agile. Dean was not moving around well here at all. Ara tried some and maybe can kind of be a fun underdog face. The match was pretty average all around and I think the wrestlers were probably mostly just happy to be here.

Kazumasa Yoshida & Ryota Hama vs. Mari Hana & Yuya Aoki

Mari takes down Kaz. Mari rolls him. Kaz does a side headlock. Kaz goes for the hammerlock and is taken down. Kaz side headlocks him.

Yuya and Hama get in. They shoulderblock battle and Hama doesn't budge. Yuya tries a sumo chop flurry but Hama hiptosses him over. Hama lariats Yuya then elbow drops him for 2. Kaz chops Yuya in the corner then running facekicks him. Kaz tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him then facekicks him.

Kaz and Yuya sumo battle then Yuya throws him. Mari and Kaz go at it. Mari triangles him. Hama breaks it up with a simple crossface punch. Yuya springboard dropkicks Hama. Mari and Kaz trade forearms.

Mari hits a big forearm then Kaz dropkicks him. Mari lariats him over and Kaz spinebusters him. Kaz then jack knife pins him to win.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. It didn't get much time which was the main issue. Hama didn't get to do much here and it was a real waste of Yuya. 

Kaji Tomato, Kota Sekifuda & Pantera Jr. vs. Fuminori Abe, Ikuto Hidaka & Kosuke Sato

Sato and Kota go at it. They wristlock each other and Kota up kicks him. Everyone comes in an fails to hit dropkicks. Sato ends up being the only one standing then everyone decides to kip up together. Pat walks up the buckles and flips over abe. He then back body drops him and armdrags Sato. Pant then headscisors Hidaka out. Kaji and Kota hit stereo plancha's then Pant tope con hilos him.

Kaji gamengiri's Hidaka. Hidaka then spinning heel kicks him. Sato hits basement dropkicks on Kaji. Abe hiptosses Kaji then tries to pin him many times. Abe mise a corner charge and Kaji flip dives him off the top. Kota comes in and armdrags Abe. He then dropkicks Abe.

Kota hits a 2nd rope twisting crossbody on Abe and Sato then splashes Abe. Abe armdrags Kota and spin kicks him in the gut. Abe then kicks him in the back. Kota and Hidaka fight. Hidaka drops Kota on his knees and they blow a spot. Hidaka enzugiri's him then Kota backdrop backcrackers him.

Pant and Sato trade forearms. Sato headbutts him then Pant la magistral's him. Sato tops it and they trade pin attempts. Sato hits 3 dropkicks. Hidaka cartwheel kicks Pant in the corner then Sato sitout slams Pant for 2. Everyone starts hitting dropkicks on each other. Pant messes up a springboard then meteora's Sato for 2.

Pant does a fireman's carry gutbuster on Sato and wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't good. They didn't get much time and it was half comedy. They had multiple botches and sloppy moves and this was just a real disappointing match here. This should have been good too.

Hidaka and Kota have words after and seem to set up a title match. 

Street Fight Death Match - Abdullah Kobayashi & Ryuji Ito vs. Dale Patricks & Mad Man Pondo vs. Kazumi Kikuta & Masaya Takahashi

Dale goes after Abby and Pondo sends Kikuta out. Ito takes a double shoulderblock then Abby hits his own double shoulderblock. Abby then misses a double elbow drop on the gaijin. Ito chairs Masa then takes a double suplex. Ito and Dale trade forearms in the stands.

Dale grabs a table and hits Ito with it. Ito is laid on the table. Dale jumps off the stair structure and splashes him through the table. Abby bangs the ring bell into MT's ear.

Abby and Pondo get tied together and choked with a cowboy together. MT powerbombs Dale onto a table then suplexes him through it. Pondo hits Kikuta and Abby with a stop sign. Pondo comes off the top and tries to drive Abby and Kikuta through a table but mostly just sends himself through it. MT lariats Pondo. We get a bad tower of doom spot.

Abby lariats Kikuta over. MT sticks something in Abby's nose then does a bad hip throw. Kikuta punches Dale then Dale hits an AA on him. Dale piledrivers MT for 2. Dale backdrops MT down on chairs and wins.

Thoughts: This was bad. It was slow. A lot of the offense looked awful and nobody came out of this one looking good.

Pondo says they are still baka gaijin BJW tag champs. 

Silver Bullet Death Match - Masashi Takeda vs. SAGAT

They shoulder each other and Takeda is shouldered over. Takeda is sent into aluminum can boards into the corner. Sagat rakes his head with one of the cans. They trade punches outside. Takeds hits him with a chair.

Takeda hits Sagat with scissors and legdrops him. Takeda then stabs him with scissors. Takeda rakes Sagat's head with scissors. They trade forearms. Takeda rubs the cans on Sagat's head. Takeda rakes cans on Sagat's back. Sagat gets a gusset plate put in his head.

Sagat puts a gusset plate in Takeda's head. They headbutt the plates into each others heads. Sagat rams Takeda hard into a gusset plate board. Sagat flying shoulders Takeda then backdrops him. Saga misses a splash on Takeda and goes into the ladder below him.

Sagat russian legsweeps Takeda on a ladder and Takeda basically lets him do it again. They both land on the ladder together so it's unclear why anyone would do this. Takeda shotgun dropkicks Sagat in the corner and running knees him. Takeda facebusters Sagat onto an aluminum can board.

Takeda chokes Sagat with a chain. Takeda chairs a chair into Sagat's face. Takeda climbs a ladder in the ring. Sagat trows him off of it then Sagat spinebusters him. Sagat splashes Takeda for 2. Takeda knees Sagat in the head for 2. Takeda headbutts Sagat.

Takeda climbs a ladder then top rope swantons a gusset plate board onto Sagat for 2. Takeda drivers him on a gusset plate board and wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't good. The russian legsweep on the ladder spot was stupid as it clearly hurt both guys yet they allowed it. The selling was not good and they all got bloody off of it.

Drum Can Death Match - Yuko Miyamoto vs. Kankuro Hoshino

They have a metal barrel for this match in the ring that can be used. Yuko hits a flying headscissors early and sends Hoshino out. Yuko tries to throw the barrel at him but Hoshino moves. Yuko's head is banged off the barrel's bottom. Yuko jumps over the barrel when Hoshino rolls it at him.

Hoshino running back elbows him. Yuko rolls the barrel at Hosino and Hoshino is tripped by it. Yuko then poses on the barrel. Yuko slams him and drops the barrel on him. Hoshino tries to spear the barrel into yuko but of course hurts himself off of it.

Hoshino STO's Yuko. They roll the barrel at each other and Yuko falls over it. Hoshino slams him. Hoshino sits on top and Yuko throws the barrel at him. Hoshino is on the outside and Yuko throws the barrel at him. That can't be safe.

Yuko takes a back body drop onto a barrel then Hoshino lariats Yuko. Hoshino goes up top and is hit with the barrel lid. Hoshino puts the barrel onto Yuko then sentons it on him, hurting himself probably more than Hoshino. Hoshino hits Yuko with the barrel lid then puts the barrel on Yuko's head. Hoshino dropkicks the barrel on Yuko's head.

Yuko tries to sunset bomb Hoshino onto the barrel but overshoots and Hoshino lands on his neck. Yuko slams Hoshino. Yuko top rope moonsaults the barrel onto Hoshino and bounces off of it, landing hard on his neck. Yuko then wins.

Thoughts: This was just stupid. The barrel moves hurt the person doing it as much as the person taking it and both guys took some scary falls. They also did a lot of goofing around pretending to be tripped up by the barrel. This was awful and dangerous wrestling that should not be done again.

Daisuke Sekimoto, Takuya Nomura & Yasufumi Nakanoue vs. Jacob Crane & Okami (Daichi Hashimoto & Hideyoshi Kamitani)

YN = Yasufumi Nakanoue, Hash = Daichi Hashimoto, Kami = Hideyoshi Kamitani, Sek = Daisuke Sekimoto

Hash and YN go at it. YN grabs the leg and they trade wristlocks. Hash side headlocks him. Kami and Sek go at it. Kami takes him down and armlocks him. Sek headscissors him. Kami side headlocks him.

Sek leg locks Kami then Kami gets his legs split. Kami slams Nomura. Crane is tagged in. Crane armdrags him then Nomura headscissors him. Crane ankle locks him and Nomura ropebreaks. Nomura cravate takeovers Crane. Crane rolls him into an ankle lock.

Nomura flips out of a chinlock and straightjacket chokes Crane. Crane water wheel drops Nomura. Hash throws Nomura over. Hash low blows Nomura then facekicks him over. Hash step up knees Nomura in the corner. They trade some shots.

Nomura slaps Hash and Hash hits a hard forearm on him. Nomura misses a dropkick then hit sone. YN flapjacks Hash then corner lariats him. YN hits a top rope dropkick on Hash for 2. YN goes for a vader bomb but Hash gets his knees up. Hash chest kicks him. Kami flying shoulders YN then tagged in. Kami spinebusters YN for 2.

Kami goes up top and YN throws him down. YN knees Kami in the gut. Sek shoulderbreeakers Kami then low crossbodies him for 2. YN suplexes Sek for 2. YN single leg crabs Sek then Hash and Crane put submissions on at the same time. YN 2nd rope superplexes Sek for 2. Everyone comes in to do a move and Kami shoulders Sek over.

Crane hits machine gun chops on Sek then corner lariats him. Crane underhook suplexes him, Nomura and YN. Crane emerald flowsions Sek for 2. Sek takes a lariat + legsweep combo. Crane deadlift germans Sek for 2. Crane hits lariats on Sek then hits headbutts. Sek lariats him over then hits another lariat. Sek hits a top rope splash on Crane for 2.

Sek torture racks Crane and submits him to win.

Thoughts: It was an okay tag. There were no issues with it though the finishing move could have been a little better. It was pretty much all heavyweight wrestling here which was fine by me.

Sek then talks on the mic after.

Overall thoughts: It was a bad BJW show. The main was the only thing of value here. Everything else was comedy or bad hardcore wrestling. I'd give this one a 3 out of 10 and would not recommend it.
