Impact Wrestling Hardcore Justice 4/10/2021
I wanted to get to this sooner but I couldn't catch it while it was originally aired and it took days to get online. Impact had the bright idea to put this on before Wrestlemania at 3pm.
Fallah Bahh & TJP vs. Josh Alexander & Petey Williams vs. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton
TJP and Josh Alexander had mystery partners here. Bahh runs through Josh's strikes early and picks him up for a suplex to drop him chest first. Petey and TJP get in and Petey hits a satellite headscissors. Petey hurricanrana's him off the 2nd buckle and tries for a satelite headscissors into a russian legsweep, but TJP catches him with an octopus hold.
Ace and TJP traded forearms then TJP yanked back his arm and leg hard in a submission hold. Bahh was leaned against the middle rope and Fulton splashed his back. Ace then took Petey's tilt-a-whirl russian legsweep and a jumping flatiner for 2. Petey slingshot codebreakers Ace then Josh german suplexes him. Fulton spin slammed Josh. Ace sat on top and Fulton threw Josh into his knees then hit a big boot. Ace then hit the top rope helicopter legdrop on Josh.
Ace battled Petey on the outside but Josh powerslammed him. Josh was up top and Ace did his weird reverse hurricanrana to take him down and Josh tagged out. TJP got the hot tag and tornado ddt'd Ace. He hit a codebreaker and Bahh crossbodied Fulton. TJP hit his top rope frogsplash but Josh tagged him unwantedly, in reference to a spot from a few weeks ago. Petey had Ace in the sharpshooter then TJP put Petey in an ocotopus hold on top of it. Bahh rammed Josh into the pile though and they all fell over.
Fulton broke up a canadian destroyer attempt and double chokeslammed the Canadians while TJP was on his back. TJP facewashed Josh, Petey and Ace. Then he got on Baah's back for a splash on Ace. Petey hit TJP with the canadian destroyer and tried it on Bahh, but failed. Josh ankle locked Bah for the win. This was fast paced and had some fun spots and was an enjoyable opener, though three ways and four ways limit what you can really do story wise.

Chairly Legal - Shera vs Hernandez
This is a chair's match. They shoulder block battle to start and Shera flying shoulders him. Shera slams him on a chair and takes a chair to the back outside. Hernandez sits in a chair and is kicked over. Shera then chairs his back but Hernandez comes back and slams him onto two chairs that are put together. He then throws him into a chair put between the ropes then smacks his head off a chair.
Shera gets his leg put over the middle rope then Hernandez kicks the ropes. Shera made a comeback with a spinebuster for 2. Shera then hit Hernandez's back with chairs and tried to ram him into the post, but ended up going in instead.
A pile of chairs is set up in the ring and Hernandez is superplexed onto them. Hernandez pops right up though soon after and bangs Shera's head off of various chairs, then Rohit Raju comes in. Raju chairs Hernandez in the head and Shera picks up the win. Raju raises Shera's hand after.
This wasn't any good. Neither one sold that much and they kept switching who was in control so no momentum could be gained.
We cut to Swinger's Palace with Sabin and Storm. Sabin says he loves this place then Larry D and Acey Romero come in. They want some action and Storm says let's have a match now. XXXL says let's head to the ring and Storm said he meant a drinking match. Storm says you take a drink, then have a match. Matt Cardona then walks in and asks if they are taking bets. Swinger said they take cash only, not action figures. Cardona says Swinger is mad because he doesn't have an action finger. Tommy Dreamer then appears out of nowhere and yells. He signs a "Crate American Bash" match with Swinger vs Cardona.
Doc Gallows (w/Karl Anderson) vs. Black Taurus (w/Crazzy Steve)
This starts off fast with BT getting some kicks in. Doc gets a dragon screw over the middle rope but BT misses a top rope crossbody. Doc takes over and hits a big boot. BT comes back with forearms but takes an uppercut. Karl gets a cheapshot in on BT then Doc suplexes BT.
Doc hits another uppercut on BT and throws him out. BT was thrown over the rails and tooka nice bump for it. Back in and Doc elbow drops him for 2, then hits some awful elbows. Doc hit a jumping splash and kept control. BT was thrown into the corner and springboarded off of it with a flying headbutt on Doc. BT 619'd him then top rope missile dropkicked him for 2.
Karl distracted BT and Steve pulled him off the apron. Doc used this to get the advantage back though and chokeslam bombed BT for the win. BT didn't get much in here at all and was made not to look like much of a threat. this would have been much better as an even match.
Violent by Design did a promo. EY said Dreamer, Edwards, Mack and crew were pillars of Impact, but they would break the pillars tonight. He said they have 100% belief in violence and worship violence. EY said the world belongs to VbD. I always like these VbD segments.
Crate American Bash Match - Johnny Swinger vs. Matt Cardona
They have mystery boxes on each post and you can use whatever is inside. Swinger wants a 2 finger handshake to start and then has the Swingerall's back him up on a tights pulling claim. Swinger struts and Matt gets out of his full nelson, before doing a strut of his own. Swinger goes to the ropes and Matt follows only to get low blowed. Swinger opens a crate and finds a picture of Scott Hall. He then starts choking Cardona and struts again.
Matt is on the apron and is pushed off into the rails. Matt comes back and hits a jawbreaker. He goes up to the 2nd rope but gets pulled off. Swinger goes for a box and gets his hand caught in the mouse trap inside! Matt makes a comeback and 2nd rope dropkicks Swinger, though misses most of it. They then collide heads.
Both go for boxes and Cardona leaves what he finds in there. Swinger digs and finds brass knucks. He goes for a shot but takes a jumping legdrop from Cardona and Cardona wins it. Cardona then takes the crate with him and seems happy with it, but we don't see what is inside.
This was a silly but entertaining match. Swinger getitng the mouse trap was funny and he did a good job of playing his character. Both did what they should have done and I enjoyed it.
We went back to Swinger's Palace. Storm/Sabin and XXXL are still drinking.
Sami comes out. He said he is not a bad guy, but wants the best for people. He said he brought out the passion in Trey Miguel by beating him. He said he wanted to be on this show, so he is and offered an open challenge to anyone.
Sam Beale vs. Sami Callihan
I think Beale is one of the people Sami beat up when he went to Trey's wrestling school. Beale also got beaten by Trey in quick fashion a few weeks ago. Sami lariats him down to start. Sami pump kicked him then twisting neckbreakered him out of the suplex position on the top rope. Sami then exploders him on the floor.
Beale gets a couple of roll-up attempts in and is lariated again. Sami then package piledrivers him for the win in a total waste of time squash.
Blindfold Hardcore Match - Brian Myers vs. Jake Something
This a stupid gimmick and the clips I saw of this didn't look very good. Jake hits Myers early, but Myers falls out and Jake doesn't know where he went. Brian found a trash can lid and nailed Jake with it when Jake grabbed him. Brian then found a stick and started hitting and choking Jake with it.
Brian hits a jumping flatliner and tries to pin him while he is laying on his stomach as he can't see. Jake deadlif sitout powerbombs him for 2. Jake hits some clotheslines and Brian gets Jake to hit the ref. Brian takes off his mask while the ref isn't looking and Matt Cardona comes down with the mystery crate. Matt slides the crate in to Jake and it's a crate filled with action figures. Jake hits Brian with it and wins it.
This was bad. They didn't play up not being able to see much at all and that part might as well have not even been there. But hey, at least we know what was in the box.
Tommy Dreamer, Willie Mack, Rich Swann and Eddie Edwards do a promo. Dreamer says his crew has his back. Rich is pacing back and forth and talks about the team. EY said they will show us violence. He said they have the heart, fire and determination to stop anyone.
Impact Knockouts Title #1 Contendership Weapons Six Way Match - Alisha Edwards vs. Havok vs. Rosemary vs. Tenille Dashwood (w/Kaleb With A K) vs. Su Yung vs. Jordynne Grace
Su Yung came out when Susan was entertaining and attacked her. It's the same person doing both gimmicks and they had two people there, so this is totally unexplainable.
Rosemary and Havok try to get Su to team with them, but she attacks them. Havok and Rosemary then end the team and go at it. They both clothesline each other down. Tenille trips Grace then Kaleb tries to hit Grace with a frying pan but fails. Grace then takes a drop toe hold into the steps. Alisha staple guns Tenille in the butt, then makes her go on her knees as she threatens to shoot her with it again. Kaleb tries to defend Tenille, but gets a staple gun shot then is attacked by the other women.
Alisha tornado ddt's Kale and he is lariated over the top. Su cannonballs Kaleb off the apron to the floor. Grace slams Alisha and side slams her through a trash can. Su headscissors Grace into a chair. Rosemary and Su then tug of war over a rope and clothesline Havok hard with it. Rosemary then spears Su.
Rosemary finds thumbtacks and spills them outside. Alisha reverse ddt's Rosemary on them then find a kendo stick. She then nails Rosemary hard with it in the ear. Su punds the mandible claw on Alisha and pushes her to the back somewhere.
Havok high kicks Grace and really shows how big she. Neveah comes out and throws powder in Havok's face and Grace gets offense in. Grace hits the vader bomb but is pulled out by Kaleb who superkicks her. Tenille then rolls in and gets the win.
It made sense for people to interfere since this was a hardcore match but this wasn't very good. This was more notable for the shenanigans that happened than the actual match.
Acey Romero is about to fall over due to being drunk at Swinger's Palace. Larry D wants to know when they will do this and Storm says it is time.
Swinger pulls out ping pong balls for beer pong. Sabin doesn't know how to play. Storm throws a ball at Larry's face then Larry is thrown over the poker table by Storm and Sabin. Sabin and Storm celebrate. Swinger asked if the dealer had paid the insurance premium and he says, "on an illegal casino?" as Swinge realizes what happened.
Impact Knockouts Title - Title Vs. Career Match -Deonna Purrazzo (c) vs. Jazz
I have no idea who will win this one. Jazz hits some strikes to start and a bad spinning high kick. Jazz hits a hard forearm and clotheslines her down. DP takes a break outside. DP catapults her into the bottom the rope when Jazz gets near the ropes.
Jazz takes a flatliner but kicks out at 2. Jazz is tied up in a nudo in the ropes and DP dropkicks her out. Jazz gets worked on more but pulls down the ropes and DP falls out.
Jazz hits some forearms outside and throws DP into the post. Jazz throws some weapons inside and facebusters her after some strikes. We have a dumb spot here where DP armbars Jazz, but Jazz hits the ropes and DP is forced to break. This is a hardcore match where there is no rules, so why would you break?
Jazz samoan drops DP and chairs her in the back. Jazz then DDT's her on the chair. DP hits some pump kicks and a bad suplex. DP puts her up for the piledriver and drops her forward instead of down and wins it. The idea was good but the match wasn't too good.
Jordynne Grace comes out to comfort Jazz and walks out with her.
We cut to the back and Tommy Dreamer is down. The doc says he can't wrestle and D'Amore tells them to head to the ring.
Hardcore War - Violent By Design (Deaner, Eric Young, Joe Doering & Rhino) vs. Team Dreamer (Eddie Edwards, Rich Swann, Trey Miguel & Willie Mack)
Each team enters one person at a time every 2 minutes until everyone enters. Once everyone is in, you win by pinfall or submission.
Eddie and Deaner are first up. They brawl outside and continue to brawl inside. Eddie hits the atomic drop + belly to belly combo. Eddie hits the backpack stunner and Rhino comes out with a pool stick as the 3rd entrant.
Eddie takes a 1v2 and is chaired in the gut. Eddie has his head smacked off the chair then Willie Mack is the 4th entrant. Willie nails his opponents with a chain then Deaner is clotheslined with it. Eddie nails Deaner with a cane and russian legsweeps him with the cane. Eddie finds a toaster and throws it in. Mack punches the toaster with a chain into Deaner's crotch.
Joe Doering is the 5th entrant. He runs through a kendo stick clothesline and lariats both down. Deaner puts Mack's hand in the toaster and pulls it. Rich Swann then comes out as the 6th entrant with a sign and a table. Doering gets a sign to the head as does Rhyno.
Swann cleans house and the faces take control. Eric Young is the 7th entrant and hits Eddie and Swann with a hockey stick. Deaner chokes Mack with the chain and EY misses a hockey stick shot and breaks it over the rail.
Trey Miguel comes out in Tommy's spot and is the 8th and final entrant. Trey cleans house on VBD and Doering pops up behind him. Trey ducks a clothesline to tope VBD and Doering crossbodies Trey hard.
A table is set up in the corner and Eddie kendo stick shots Joe and Rhyno. Eddie clotheslines Joe over the top and Swann handsprings into the ropes into a cutter on Deaner. Rhyno then goes Swann through the corner table.
We get a tower of doom spot with EY getting superplexed off the top. Eddie is put on a table by Doering. Trey top rope meteora's Doering off the apron into the table with Eddie on it. Mack fights off VBD 1v3 and hits a pop-up flatiner on Doering. Mack takes a trash can lid to the head and is piledrivered by Eric Young for the VBD win.
This was a multi-man hardcore match. It was mostly weapons shots but it made sense for the most part and was fine for what it was.
Overall thoughts: It was a mixed bag. The opener, main and the Swinger match were the better matches of the night but the blindfold match was bad and Shera's match wasn't too good either.
