We are in Toronto, Canada. Tony Schiavone, Matt Menard and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.
This is the pre-show for All Out 2025 but AEW and Cagematch also call this Collision, so we'll go with it. This aired at 2PM on a Saturday.
The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe) vs The WorkHorsemen (Anthony Henry & JD Drake)
Henry piefaces and chops Hobbs. He hits body kicks and Hobbs slams him many times. JD tags in and gets slammed. Joe hits punches on JD then sentons him. Joe no sells JD's chops.
JD eye pokes him. Joe is double teamed and takes an assisted ddt for 1. JD hits punches on Joe. Joe hits forearms then powerslams him for 2.
Hobbs comes in and lariats the heels. Hobbs hits a double shoulderblock. Hobbs corner splashes both opponents then corner lariat flurries JD. JD takes a short arm lariat and Henry is lariated down. Joe corner enzugiri's JD. JD misses a 2nd rope move and lands on his back.
Joe sleepers JD and submits him.
Thoughts: It was all squash here and not much of note. The Opps won as expected.
Katsuyori Shibata vs. Daniel Garcia
DG enters through the crowd with Shafir. KS running boots him then hits corner forearms. DG knees him in the gut outside then he gets thrown into the rails. KS chops DG outside then boots him off a chair into the rails.
We go to a quick PiP break and return. DG double throat thrusts him and ddt's him on the floor. Matt Menard yells at DG and tells him to look at him. DG ignores him. DG puts KS' head between then steps and the post then DG dropkicks the steps.
DG corner lariats KS then sliding forearms him for 2. They trade forearms inside. KS chest kicks and pump kicks him. KS germans him then DG backdrops him. KS germans him then corner facekicks him. KS hits chops in the corner then corner dropkicks DG. KS double underhook suplexes him for 2. KS triangles him.
They trade forearms on the apron. DG bites him in the head. KS death valley drivers him on the apron. We go to PiP break, full break and return. They are tied up via the legs and slap each other down. They get up and trade forearms. DG guillotines him. DG piledrivers him twice and only gets a 1 count on the second one.
KS drops him with a shot and staggers. KS chest chops him and sleepers him. KS grounds him with it. Shafir distracts the ref. DG hits gotch style piledriver then curbstomps him for the win.
Thoughts: They did too much here. They should not be kicking out of piledrivers, apron death valley drivers and steel step shots in the pre-show. I didn't like this one.
Renee and RJ City talk at ringside and shill the PPV.
Hologram & Paragon (Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong) vs. The Frat House (Cole Karter, Griff Garrison & Preston Vance)
The faces get nailed as they pose. Holo is thrown out and RS is foot choked in the corner. RS release suplexes Holo into a splash on PV. Kyle hits chest kicks on PV. Kyle hits a strike combo on Griff, ending in a leg sweep. PV chokes Kyle on the ropes.
Kyle takes a double boot in the corner and a Cole dropkick. Cole shoulders him over then Kyle backdrops him. Holo and Griff fight. Holo fights off the heels in the corner then standing spanish flies Griff. PV takes a triple team shot from the faces. Holo tope con hilos some of the The Frathouses pledges outside.
Griff takes a high/low and Holo top rope double stomps Griff to win.
Thoughts: It was too short to really get going here. The faces won as expected. This was very fast paced. They teased some dissension between RS and Holo.
RJ City and Renee talk about the PPV and the next match.
Tailgate Brawl Match - Megan Bayne, Penelope Ford & Sisters Of Sin (Julia Hart & Skye Blue) vs. Harley Cameron, Mina Shirakawa, Queen Aminata & Willow Nightingale
The faces are in street fight gear and we have some tailgate stuff outside. The faces do a football line-up pose and knock over the heels. The heels take shots in all 4 corners then are thrown into each other. Meg is double lariated and Mina trips her. The faces take their AEW shirts off and get nailed by the heels.
Meg throws Ford out onto the faces. Willow and Meg trade shots. Willow spinebusters her. The faces do an 8 girl suplex on the heels. The faces throw cups at the heels. Ford and Queen duel weapons. They bring out a beach chair. Skye gets staple gunned in the ring as we go to PiP break.
We return and Willow is stapled in the butt. Skye powerbombs Willow on a cooler for 2. Mina hits the heels with a cooler, as does Queen. Queen does her chocolate kisses spot to Hart and Mina thrusts as she does it. Mina rolls over Queen's back with a splash on Hart for 2.
Harley has a trash can put on her head. Her partners are sent into her and the heels hit running corner shots on her. Queen slams Harley. Ford jumps off of Meg's back with a moonsault on Ford.
Willow pounces Meg. Meg is clotheslined with a table. Willow takes a double superkick. Harley takes a double gordbuster. Skye and Hart are sent into the rails. Mina grabs a grill. Skye and Hart's faces are put in it and Mina/Queen boot them.
Willow spinebusters Ford then hits her with a trash can. Willow doctor bombs Ford and pins her.
Thoughts: It was fine. It was a fun little hardcore style match with some goofy and unusual weapons. The faces won but it doesn't really matter.
The announcers shill the PPV as the faces dance to close the show.
Overall thoughts: It's a pre-show so you can't be too harsh on it. These are extra matches to get you hyped for the PPV and try to get some last minute buys. You don't want them to be too good and make the crowd tired but you don't want them to be awful either. Shibata/Garcia still found room to do too much though, there were basically 2 squashes and the faces beat the heels in a fun and goofy hardcore match. I do think they needed some interviews with wrestlers in the top matches here though. I'd give it this one a 5 out of 10 as it was about average and nothing must see.
