5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - Natsupoi vs. Rian
Ri running dropkicks her then hair throws her. Ri basement dropkicks her. Poi runs into a neckbreaker then throws Ri off the top. Poi basement dropkicks Ri for 2. Poi hair throws her then basement dropkicks her. Poi foot chokes her on the ropes.
Ri hits chest forearms then dropkicks her. Poi basement dropkicks her then stomps on her. Poi foot chokes her then Ri crossbodies her. Ri corner dropkicks her then headscissors her out of the corner. Ri basement dropkicks her for 2.
They trade chest forearms. They trade back elbows on the ropes and Poi dropkicks her on the ropes. Poi dropkicks her through the ropes. Poi top rope crossbodies her but Ri rolls through it for 2. Ri top rope crossbodies her for 2.
Ri blocks a spin kick and slaps her. Poi challenges her to do it again and Ri slap flurries her. Poi drops her with a slap. Poi running headhunters her then Ri gets a 2 count on her. They trade pin attempts. Poi release germans her.
Ri flips over her back and gets a pin attempt in. Poi superkicks her then germans her for 2. Poi hits 3 spin kicks to the body/head and gets the pin.
Thoughts: It was a vet vs youngster matchup. Ri got a lot of offense in and went for the win before being put down as expected. It was fine.
They shake hands after and Rian slaps her.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block B Match - Hina vs. Momo Kohgo
Momo dropkicks her to start and hits chest forearms. They trade armdrags and Momo dropkicks her. They trade chest forearms. Momo dropkicks her then 619's her. Momo springboard dropkicks her for 2. Momo pulls back on both of her arms.
Hina hip throws her. Hina slams her three times and high crabs her. Momo ropebreaks. Hina STO's her twice for 2. Momo cradles her and rolls her up for 2. Momo superkicks her then Hina hits a suplex on her. Momo no sells it then Momo suplexes her for 2.
Momo hits mounted chess punches. Hina spinning drops her on her chest for 2. Momo la magistral's her and pins her.
Thoughts: They had one botch here but it was alright. It was a fast moving match with them keeping it pretty even.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block A Match - Saori Anou vs. Yuria Hime
Hime rolls her up for 2 then does it again. Hime cradles her for 2 then does 2 more. Hime hits a bunch of chest forearms on SA. SA facekicks her. Hime facekicks her then headscissors her. Hime facekicks her and SA basement dropkicks her.
SA misses a top rope dropkick and Hime hits a leg lariat for 2. Hime headscissors her with an armlock. Hime hits the devil's kiss. Hime hits facekicks on SA. SA totally misses a step up enzugiri, suplexes her and does a heavenly lock.
SA hits facekicks on Hime then top rope dropkicks her for 2. SA wheelbarrow germans her for 2. SA ties up a leg and goes for the armbar. SA adds a headscissors onto it and submits her.
Thoughts: It was similar to the first match with Anou being the vet and having the edge and Hime going for the upset. Hime lost as expected but she did alright.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block A Match - Ruaka vs. Miyu Amasaki
Ru hits Miyu outside before she enters. Ru sends her into the seats and gets a 2 count inside. Miyu hits chest forearms on her then Ru hits one back. Ru fisherman suplexes her for 2.
Ru running lariats her then double arm chokeslams her for 2. Miyu tries 2 pin attempts and pins her on the 2nd one.
Thoughts: It was a short one with Miyu getting beaten up for most of it and grabbing the surprise win.
Ruaka beats her up a bit after.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block A Match - Saya Iida vs. Aya Sakura
Saya shoots in and Saya blocks it. They mat wrestle. Aya wristlocks her and Saya reverses it. Saya side headlocks her then Aya reverses that. Aya side headlock takeovers her and Saya headscissors her. They then stand off.
They trade chops for chest kicks. Saya hits a chop flurry in the corner then Aya chest kick flurries her in the corner. Aya chest kicks her down then spinning heel kicks her in the corner. Aya guillotines her then Saya tries to powerbomb her out of it.
Aya is swept off the 2nd rope then Saya chop blocks her for 2. Aya suplexes her for 2. Saya hits a lariat. Aya hip throws her into a triangle. Aya high kicks her. Saya hits two lariats for 2. Saya suplexes her and wins.
Thoughts: It was a shorter one with a lot of chops and kicks as expected with not a lot else. It didn't really get the time to develop into anything.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block C Match - Waka Tsukiyama vs. Azusa Inaba
Waka misses a leg lariat to start and takes a body scissors takedown. AI goes for a hold and Waka rolls her up for 2. AI facekicks her over. Waka no sells it then is kicked in the face. Waka back rolls her, loses the hold but pins her and wins anyway.
Thoughts: It was very short here with Waka getting the upset win.
AI stomps on her after.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block C Match - Bea Priestley vs. Lady C
C and BP lock up. C backs her up on the ropes. BP side headlocks her, trips her then double stomps her. C is thrown hard into the buckles. BP snapmares her and kicks her in the back. BP then stomps on her.
C running facekicks her for 2. C cobra twists her. C chokeslams her and does a grounded cobra twist. C running facekicks her then knee drops her as she hangs over the 2nd rope. BP germans her then pumping knees her on the ropes. BP northern lights suplexes her for 2.
BP rolls her up for 2. C then facekicks her over. C chokeslams her for 2. C hits a facekick then misses one in the corner. BP double stomps her back off the buckles for 2.
They trade forearms. C facekicks her then BP superkicks her. BP germans her then blue thunders her to win.
Thoughts: It didn't get much of a reaction and BP really isn't working that well as a face. I would have liked to have seen them lean more into the heavyweight vs heavyweight match here. It was a bit by the numbers with C doing facekicks and not much else.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block B Match - Konami vs. HANAKO
Hana shoulders her over then corner splashes her. Hana slams her for 2. Hana crabs her. Hana pulls her down from the apron and bangs her head off the apron. Hana is sent into the post.
Hana is sent into the seats and Kon chokes her with a chair. Hana's head is banged off the post. Kon hair throws her. Kon foot chokes her. Kon armbars her. Kon stomps Hana's arm then wraps her arm around the post.
They trade chest forearms and Hana goes down. Kon armbars her. Kon boots her out of the corner then triangles her over the top rope. Kon top rope dropkicks Hana. Kon puts another guillotine on. Hana suplexes her to escape it.
Kon high kicks her, germans her and is lariated. Kon germans her for 2 then fisherman suplexes her. They fight on the buckles and Hana superplexes her. Kon sleepers Hana. Hana facekicks her and samoan drops her. Hana sit out torture rack drops her. Kon no sells it and tries a pin. Kon then submits her with a choke.
Thoughts: I think they had the right idea but it had some issues. Kon was the underdog vs the bigger girl but she was the heel. She did various submissions and Hana would power out but I just don't think they did what they wanted to do the right way. I also don't think they let either girl get enough in to really build heat here the way it should have been built.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - Natsuko Tora vs. Tomoka Inaba
TI boots Tora's knee to start. TI tries to trip her but is stomped. Tora shoulders her over. Tora boots TI in the face and TI hits chest forearms. Tora splashes her for 2.
TI kicks the ropes into her face then pump kicks her. TI kicks her in the back. TI elbow drops Tora's leg. Tora crossbodies her then sentons her. Tora hair throws her. TI rolls her up into an ankle lock. Tora ropebreaks.
Tora grabs her from the apron and throws her into the seats. Tora spits mist in her face outside. Tora corner cannonballs her. Tora is thrown down from the buckles. TI hits chest kicks. TI buzzsaw kicks her for 2. Tora hits her with a pipe right in front of the ref then cradle shocks her.
Tora splashes her off the buckles twice for 2. Tora grounded sleepers her. Tora misses a top rope swanton. TI high kicks her then ankle locks her. Tora submits.
Thoughts: It was a longer and slower match and maybe not exactly fit for this quiet crowd. TI mostly did ankle locks here and Tora eventually submitted to one of them. It was pretty similar to the last match in some ways. I didn't like Tora cheating in front of the ref and getting away with it.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - Starlight Kid vs. Rina
Ri dropkicks her to start. Kid is tripped into the ropes and facekicked. Rina hair throws her and foot chokes her. The ref tells her to break and she spits at him. Ri boots Kid around. Kid hair throws her and chokes her with her knee.
Ki blocks a boot and does a weird knee drop with Ri on her back. Kid bangs Ri's knee off the mat. Kid moonsaults Ri's knee. Kid does an inverted indian deathlock on her. Kid knees Rina around.
Ri throws Kid down backwards then basement dropkicks her. Ri knee drops Kid's arm then cranks it back. Kid 619's Ri in the leg. Ri does an octopus on the apron. Ri reverse suplexes Kid on the apron. Ri 2nd rope double knee drops Kid for 2. They fight on the buckles. Kid is snapmared down. Ri is up top and Kid armdrags her down. Kid goes for the stretch muffler then Ri hiptosses her. They trade facekicks and Kid dragon screws her. Kid stretch mufflers her. Ri gets a 2 count on her.
Kid hits a big slam on Ri. Kid top rope moonsaults but Ri gets her knees up. Ri spits something at Kid. Ri then does an abdominal stretch bomb for 2. Ri does a grounded octopus. Ri pulls on Kid's leg as well and Kid ropebreaks. Ri top rope double knee drops Kid's gut for 2. Ri gori bombs her then Kid hits a code red off the 2nd attempt. Kid top rope moonsaults Ri for 1. Ri running facekicks her. Ri then gori bombs her and the time limit expires.
Thoughts: Kid worked the leg here as usual and Rina somewhat worked the arm. We didn't get a finish as it went to a draw so who knows how it would have panned out. The crowd got into it a little which was nice and what we got was okay. Stardom's definitely pushing Rina this tournament and giving her more and more chances to shine.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block C Match - Mei Seira vs. Saya Kamitani
Saya misses a pump kick to start. Mei boots her. They evade attacks and Mei eventually basement dropkicks her. Saya boots her out of the corner then dropkicks her off the buckles. Saya crossbodies her off the apron. Mei is then thrown into the seats.
Saya sits in a chair in the ring while Mei tries to get in. Saya then trips Mei into the chair. Saya stomps her. Saya chinlocks her. Mei hits chest forearms and Saya forearms back. Mei does like a springboard headbutt on her.
Mei lariats her on the ropes then springboard dropkicks her. Mei ties up her legs and chinlocks her. Saya puts the ref in Mei's way then dropkicks her. Saya northern lights suplexes her three times for 2. Saya corkscrew kicks her. Mei superkicks her. Saya spinning high kicks her then Mei hits a release german.
Saya forearms her. They trade forearms. Mei dropkicks Saya. Mei sitout powerbombs Saya for 2. Saya corkscrew kicks her back for 2. Mei cradles her for 2. Mei hits a running dropkick. Saya blue thunders her for 2. Saya ki krushers her for the win.
Thoughts: It was a fast paced match with all of the logic and story being them going at it quickly and not much else. It was high speed and never boring but it was a total sprint. I was alright with it but it wasn't a big semi-main match like it should have been.
Saya then talks on the mic after.
5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block B Match - Sareee vs. Momo Watanabe
Sare holds her title up during intros. She puts it in Momo's face. Momo grabs it and beats her with it. The ref then starts the match anyway. Momo PK's her from the apron. Sare is sent into the seats.
They go in the ring and Momo hits a bunch of kicks on her. Sare does an octopus on her. Sare hits a bunch of chest kicks on a downed Momo then foot chokes her on the ropes to boos. Sare misses a dropkick through the ropes and is punted in the head.
Sare leg locks her on the apron to more boos. Sare then double stomps her off the apron. Momo is sent into the seats and Sare throws a chair at her. Sare top rope dropkicks Momo for 2.
Momo suplexes her then kicks her in the back. They fight up top with Sare hitting headbutts. Sare tries to get cheers and is booed then Sare superplexes her down. Sare goes up top and is slapped. Momo then headbutts her up there. Momo then top rope uranage's her down.
Sare hits a big german and Momo no sells it. Sare no sells Momo's suplex and step up enzugiri's her. Momo high kicks her. They forearm each other. Momo forearms her and gets forearmed back. Sare dropkicks her against the ropes then dropkicks her through the ropes. Momo grabs the ref to avoid a move and high kicks Sare.
Momo grabs a bat. Tora holds Sare. Momo nails Tora on accident then nails Sare with the bat to a somewhat positive reaction. Sare backdrops her for 2. Sare top rope double stomps her for 2.
Momo half-nelson suplexes her for 2. Momo buzzsaw kicks her then punts her in the head for 2. Sare uranages her for 2. Konami tries to use spray paint on Sare. Sare catches it and sprays Momo with it. Sare wrist-clutch uranage's Momo and wins.
Thoughts: It was a mess as the crowd wanted Momo as the face and not Sareee. For the 3rd time in this tournament, Sareee had no idea how to deal with it and the match suffered because of it. It was rushed, had interference and just made Sareee look bad.
Sareee hits the heels after. Momo throws an ice pack at her and a fight breaks out with Chi Chi of Evolution and the rest of HATE.
Sareee then talks on the mic after to close the show.
Overall thoughts: The bottom half of the card was fine. Iida/Aya and Waka/Azusa didn't get enough time. Bea tried to be a face in her match and didn't do a great job of it and neither her or Lady C leaned into the heavyweight vs heavyweight match they could have had enough. Konami/Hanako had the right idea but could have been better. Tora/Tomoka was slower and similar to Konami/Hanako. Kid/Rina was okay but we didn't get a finish as this went to a draw. Mei/Saya was a high speed affair and not a lot else, but I was okay with it. The main was a mess as Sareee got booed again despite wanting to be the face and she just had no idea how to deal with it. I'd give this show a 4 out of 10 as the crowd was terrible and the wrestling wasn't that great. It was also a longer show at over 3 hours and I didn't like it that much.
