WWE LFG 4/13/2025 Episode 9

 Bubba greets D'Von Dudley as he arrives. He asks him if he brought the tables and says he pops himself all the time. Bubba says it's time they taught them tag team wrestling. D'Von isn't happy that Booker is here.

We go to the Performance Center. Shawn Michaels says it's tag team warfare today and says they will be taught it by a Hall of Fame tag team. He then brings out The Dudley's. 

Tatyanna says this is special to see them. Bubba says they are 24x tag team champs and Bubba gets in Booker's face about it. D'Von says they won everything there was to win. Booker says the ECW Tag Titles weren't world titles but regional titles. Booker says him and his brother had 10x World Tag Titles. Bubba says they weren't pretty like The Rock n Rolls, they couldn't work like Arn and Tully but they had chemistry, double team moves and their finish. D'Von wants the trainees to show them how they can be cohesive and unite. Bubba tells them to work on something they can't forget.

Penina and Leigh vs Dani and Sirena, Tatyanna and Zena vs Bayley and Tyra, Drake and Cutler vs Troy and Chris and Shiloah and Elijah vs Jasper and Anthony are our matches. D'Von is giving out points and they say Booker should have been nicer.

Drake and Cutler want to do a backdrop + top rope splash combo. BJ Ray walks in and says he's back. Cutler says this is his spot and tells BJ to leave. BJ says it's easy to get in Cutler's spot. Bubba says what if Cutler had to team with BJ. Cutler doesn't like it. He says he would do it if forced. Bubba questions if Cutler is professional enough and says he did business with lots of people he didn't like. Bubba says Drake is in the wrong place at the wrong time and is out of the match. He says he'll make it up to him. Cutler and BJ are now a team. Bubba tells BJ to wipe the smirk off his face.

Troy says he was confused about Cutler coming in for Drake. Chris says tag team moves are exciting as they are exclusive to tag teams. Bubba has Chris and Troy do stereo kip-ups, just like he invented in 1998.

BJ Ray and Cutler James vs Troy Yearwood and Chris Island

This is in front of an actual crowd.

Troy and Cutler go at it. BJ tags himself in and the coaches wonder what is going on. BJ waistlock takesdowns Troy. BJ knees him in the gut, Troy does a nice leapfrog and dropkick. Bubba says something is not right. BJ takes a double suplex. Troy and Chris double kip up then do a double elbow drop.

Chris tries a takedown on BJ and BJ rides his back. BJ does a takedown then another takedown. Cutler wants to tag in. BJ boots Chris then bulldogs him. Cutler pushes BJ over and Bubba says this is not right. Cutler then walks out on BJ. BJ then rolls up Chris and wins.

Bubba asks if Mickie knew about this. Cutler yells at someone in the back. Bubba waits for BJ and tells him to go outside now.

Thoughts: You've heard of worked shoots. This was a work of a worked shoot.

The coaches are confused as to what just happened. Chris has no idea what happened. Bubba asks Mickie to come outside with him. Mickie yells at him. BJ says the crowd was cheering his name and he thought it would be fun if he went with it. Devon says he went into business for himself.

Bubba says everyone was on the same page and asked what BJ did. Bubba says BJ put everyone in jeopardy. BJ says he wasn't thinking about it and says he just wanted to entertain the fans. Mickie says he didn't earn her trust. Bubba says that's the most unprofessional thing he has seen in 30 years. BJ says he's sorry. Mickie tells him to apologize to the people in the match. Bubba says that's the worst thing he has ever seen. 

BJ says he's sorry. Bubba says he's not sorry and a manipulator. Bubba says everything went wrong in the match. Bubba tells Troy and Chris he has no explanation. He says he has no reason to apologize to either one Troy or Chris but he's sorry.

BJ says he feels bad as he doesn't have issues with Troy or Chris. He said he wanted to show everyone how weak Cutler is. He says he made him rage quit. Cutler says he doesn't want to work with him anymore.

\Dani says she's been on the sidelines so this is important. Sirena says she always feels pressure even without trying. Mickie and Booker go over the matches. Leigh and Penina have a secret ingredient for Booker. Booker says to bring the noise.

Leigh Laurel and Penina Tuliaepa vs Dani Sekelsky and Sirena Linton

Dani side headlocks LL. LL wristlocks her. Dani kips up and cartwheels out. She then armthrows LL down. Sirena side headlock takeovers LL. LL headscissors her. They repeat the spot another time then Sirena does another side headlock takeover.

Sirena does like a pendulum bronco buster in the corner then handspring back elbows her in the corner. LL is butt dropped on the ropes then Dani cartwheel splashes LL. Dani does a headsicssors + headlock takeover. PT lariats Dani from behind.

LL backbreakers Dani. LL hits corner spears on Dani. PT double axe handles Dani's back. PT misses a corner splash and Sirena somewhat saves Dani off of it. Dani takes a double lariat. LL and PT say "can you dig that sucka?" and do a bad double elbow drop.

LL hits kicks on Dani. PT puts Dani on her shoulder. Sirena top rope crossbodies PT. Sirena shoulders LL over multiple times. Sirena slams LL. PT splashes her partner on accident then Sirena moves. LL slams Sirena and wins.

Thoughts: Sirena really runs the ropes weird. It's like she's injured somehow as the running motion looks odd. Everyone kind of had some sloppy moments here but you can see the potential in Dani and Sirena even if it wasn't super clean.

Booker T says he told his girls that he didn't want to see any "air" in between and says he did on some of the sots. Booker says they have to lay it in and says they did too much thinking out there. Booker says they have a lot of work to do.

Leigh says they killed the crowd and it was messy. Booker says the match didn't do what was needed to be done to win.

Undertaker works with his team on their match. Jasper says he is seeing things out Taker he thinks he isn't supposed to see. He says he sees emotion. The trainees discuss hot tags then practice hot tags. Taker tells them to think of the story telling aspect of this. Anthony says they can't afford to lose points. 

Shiloh Hill and Elijah Holyfield vs Jasper Troy and Anthony Luke

This is also in front of a live crowd like the other matches tonight.

Troy throws Eli in the corner. Troy knees him in the gut then misses a corner splash. Eli hits punches on him. Luke shoulders Eli over then Eli shoulders him over. Luke takes a double shoulder. Hill single arm ddt's Luke.

Hill wristlocks Luke. Troy gets in. Hill waistlocks him. Hill takes a nice flying knee + spinning slam and Booker pops for it. Luke hits corner spears on Hill. Hill fights out of the corner. Troy trips Hill and pulls him out. Troy rams Hill into and onto the apron. Troy then hits a great jumping elbow on Hill for 2.

Troy headbutts Hill. Luke chokes Hill from the apron. Troy foot chokes Hill. Luke back elbows Hill for 2. Luke clotheslines Hill then Hill jawbreakers him out of a move.

Hill goes for a tag but Eli is down. Troy black hole slams Hill. Troy misses a vader bomb. Hill makes the tag. Eli flying shoulders Luke then hits a nice lariat. Eli corner spears Luke then bulldogs him for 2.

Troy splashes Hill on accident then Troy takes a double lariat over the top. Luke is lifted for a flying clothesline off the buckles. Hill gets the win.

Thoughts: This was good and 10x better than the last match. Troy was moving well for size, Hill sold well and they protected Eli well here. Eli also showed some great speed here.

The coaches love the match and put them over. Booker tells them they did a good job. Taker says everyone excelled and says it was the best match of the season.

Bayley has a new move she wants to do. Dumas says preparing for her match was an awful experience due to one individual. Tyra says Dumas and Zena want to do a dance with a double armlock and Tyra doesn't like it. Fit Finlay took Tyra's side and said Tyra's the wrong person to do it with. Dumas says Tyra keeps wanting to talk about her gold medals constantly. She insults her.

Zena says Tyra has more experience and is trying to help Dumas but it's hard for Dumas not to take control. 

Bayley Humphrey and Tyra Mae Steele vs Tatyanna Dumas and Zena Starling

Tat and Zena do a paddy cake type of thing as they enter.

Tyra and Tat go at it. Tat slams her then throws her by the arm twice. Tat wristlocks her. Zena and Tat do a double armwringer and double arm yank. Zena armlocks Tyra.

Zena rolls Tyra into a pin attempt. Zena goes to tie her shoe but then trips her into an armlock. Tat top rope double axe handles Tyra. Tat is dropped gut first on the ropes.

Tyra clubs on Tat then does an STF variation on her. Tyra chinlcoks her. Tyra stomps on Tat in the corner. Bay gets in and throws Tat into the corner. Tat crossbodies her and is caught. Bay hits a world's strongest slam on Tat. Bay hits corner spears. Tyra does a double leg slam on Tat.

Tyra misses a corner charge then misses an elbow. Zena getsin. She lariats and back elbows Tyra. She then backdrops her. Zena nails Bay on the apron. Zena baksplashes Tyra in the corner then gutwrench slams her for 2.

Bay trips Zena then bodyblocks Tat outside. Tyra clips Zena. Bay does a ripcord powerbomb lift into a slam on Zena and pins her.

Thoughts: Zena looked good here and she really does have something. Tat didn't really translate well here. She's green, her outfit doesn't look like it fits and I didn't see much out of her. There was nothing wrong with this one.

Dumas complains in the back that Tyra injured her. She tells Tyra to do her job. Tyra says they were cool when they first met and she's only trying to help her.

We then go to the judges to aware points. Shawn says there was rough and brutal out there. He says the crap he saw kills the crowd and they won't come back. Shawn tells them he wants them to have fun but fun is greatness, winning and making a lot of money. Shawn says they are too comfortable and it needs to change.

D'Von says you don't need to be here if you don't want to do wrestling 24/7. He picks Zena and Tatyanna for the women. D'Von then gives Shiloh and Elijah points for the men. Anthony Luke says he deserved the point and said he will lead the team to victory if he had to.

Penina says she didn't get the job done. Tyra says she's strong enough to handle everything that comes her way.

The standings are:

Team Undertaker - 6 points

Team Booker - 5 points

Team Mickie - 3 points

Team Bubba - 2 points

Taker says Shiloh and Eiljah earned the point and it will help Shiloh's confidence.

Next week has a match where something will go wrong and a 1v1 with BJ Ray vs Cutler James.

Overall thoughts: The BJ Ray/Cutler/Bubba stuff is a worked-worked shoot, but this is reality TV and good luck getting away from it. Sirena's match was a disaster but you can see the potential in her and Dani. Shiloh's match was the best on this show and they all did a fine job. Zena's match was fine though I'm not seeing it in Tatyanna. I like that the show is gearing more and more towards wrestling stuff but the worked-worked shoots aren't doing it for me. As usual, there was nothing must see on this one and you don't need to see this.
