 CMLL Funcion Especial A Puerta Cerrada 24 - 2/21/2021

Retro and Robin vs Hijo del Signo and Disturbio

1st fall - Robin and Disturbio go on the mat to start and Distubio does a nice trip on him into a leglock and armlock. Signo and Retro do some technical work. Retro hooks his leg around Signo's arm and takes him down before tagging out.

Robin starts doing Kendo's old kip-up and turn around hot bit and is backbreakered and pinned. Retro then takes a very basic double suplex and is pinned

2nd fall - Signo goes to work on Robin's knee with many kicks to it. Robin comes off the 2nd rope and hurricanra's Signo then Retro dives on him off the top. Both rudos end up being caught by Retro and he does a fallaway slam on them. Robin then swanton's Distrubio and Retro does a leg an arm submission to win.

3rd fall - The rudos fail on a 2v1 on Robin. Disturbio pops up Robin and he hurricanrana's Signo. Retro botches a wheelbarrow spot and comes back with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker on Signo. He then takes both rudos over and armdrags Disturbio out. Signo tries a hurricanrana onto Robin but gets rollved up into a pin attempt. Disturbio jumps off of Signo's back and drops double knees on Retro in the corner to eliminate him, then Signo canadian destroyers him to win it.

This wasn't any good. Retro moves like an old man and is very green and basic. There were also a couple of botches.

La Magnifica and Jarochita vs Stephanie Vaquer and Amapola

1st fall - Vaquer puts on a single leg crab and Jaro rolls her into a choke which she rope breaks for. They do some arm drags and tag out. Amapola and Magnifica do some slow technical wrestling and a few armdrags. Jaro gets in and hits a few armdrags on Amapola. The faces hit double sunset flips for 2 and Jaro missile dropkicks both off the top. Jaro submits Ama and Magnifica does some bad looking backdrop on Vaquer to win.

2nd fall - Magnifica flying headscissors Ama. The rudas pick up Magnifica and have no idea what to do, so they just drop her. Ama submits Jaro with a double cross armbar then Vaquer submits Magnific with an armbar.

3rd fall - Ama does a pop-up sitout bomb to Jaro. Ama holds up Magnifica and Vaquer codebreakers her. Jaro springboard crossbodies buth opponents and Magnifica blows a double arm drag. Magnifica northern lights suplexes Vaquer for 2 and Amapola fisherman suplexes Magnifica. Ama spears Jaro. Magnifica beats Amapola with a weird side codebreaker and Jaro throws Vaquer from the Gory Special position to win.

This was really bad. It was slow, they screwed up even basic things and it was just boring.

Rey Cometa and Espiritu Negro vs Felino and Rey Bucanero

1st fall -  Felino traps Negro's arm on the mat and Negro turns it into a leg lock. Felino slams Negro. Cometa toe holds Rey and Felino breaks it up. Cometa then puts Rey in an octopus and Felino breaks that up too. Both Cometa and Espiritu get pushed in the barricades outside. Rey pics up Negro for a butterfly suplex but twists him around and drops him, then Felino submits Cometa with an indian deathlock.

2nd fall - Felino headbutts Negro like right into the nose and mouth. Rey hair throws Cometa. The heels do a poor job of working over Cometa and Rey hair throws Negro. Felino ties up both of Negro's arms with leg then rakes his nails over his body. Cometa frog splashes Rey from the top and elinimates him, then Negro swanton's Felino to eliminate him for the technicos fall.

3rd fall - The faces double leapfrog Felino then back body drop and leg drop him. Ceomta gets like rammed into a Rey lariat and Felino helps him flip sell it, which looked bad. The faces hit some attacks on Rey in the corner. Negro pops up Cometa into a double dropkick on the heels. Then the faces do a flip senton and as asai moonsault at the same time on the heels outside. Cometa accidentally superkicks his partner in a failed double team. Felino powerbombs Cometa off the top then Rey double leg locks Negro for the win.

Like everything else so far, this stunk. They didn't botch but Rey Bucanero is either really hurt or really lazy and did a poor job here. Comenta tried like he always does, but he had nothing to work with here.

Valiente vs Euforia

Valiente has some cool red and black gear on that changes colors somewhat when the lights hit it various ways.

1st fall - They work on the mat. Valiente does a nice armdrag into a fujiwara armbar to win it very quickly.

2nd fall - Valiente springboards off the 2nd rope on Euophoria's shoulders then swinging armdrags him out. Then he does a fast tope on him through the ropes. They botch a pumphandle driver then Euphoria hits it to win the 2nd fall.

3rd fall - Euphoria works over Val to start. Val gets Euphoria outside and hits his double springboard blind moonsault which is always a highlight. Val crossbodies him from the top then hurricarana's him for 2. Euphoria triangles him then rolls him up for 2. Euphoria goes up top and Val armdrags him down. Val goes for a top rope moonsault but Euphoria gets his feet up and gets a 2 count. Eupgoria ties him up with a grounded abdominal stretch but can't submit him. Val then pop-up powerbombs him for 2. Val springboards onto his shoulders then hurricanrana's him for 2. Euphoria then armdrags him and does a type of triangle choke to win.

Compared to the other matches on this show this was Misawa/Kawada 6/3/94. It didn't really have a story and wasn't great but atleast Valiente had a few highlights.

Overall thoughts: Bad show with 2 matches being really bad and a 3rd match also being pretty bad.
