NOAH 11/17/2012 - Yuji Nagata vs KENTA
One more from NOAH's Global League here.
As previously mentioned, KENTA is a prettyboy kicker who is usually quite the jerk to his opponents. Yuji Nagata wrestled in WCW, was the ace of NJPW at one point and is now a seasoned veteran in NJPW. He is no stranger to NOAH as he previously held their tag titles with Hiroshi Tanahashi.
In a tag match on 7/21/2012, Nagata busted KENTA open after slaps and kicks so this is revenge for that.
Yuji Nagata beat KENTA with a backdrop suplex hold. This one was disappointing. It was more like slapboxing than pro wrestling as all they did was slap, slap and then slap each other more. Yes, some of the slaps were hard but I can't really buy slaps like I can a punch, a kick or another strike. To me, slaps were more meant to embarass someone then to really do some serious damage. The match had absolutely nothing to it and both guys pretty much mailed in it here. A sad display for what should have been an awesome match. Rating:**
