Dragon Gate 10/21/2012 - Masaaki Mochizuki and Don Fuji vs Jimmy Susumu and Jimmy Kanda

Dragon Gate 10/21/2012 - Masaaki Mochizuki and Don Fuji vs Jimmy Susumu and Jimmy Kanda

This is for the Open the Twin Gate Tag Team Titles. Masaaki Mochizuki and Don Fuji are part of the Team Veteran Returns group, which is exactly like it sounds. Jimmy Susumu and Jimmy Kanda are from the Jimmyz stable. The Jimmyz were accused of being plain which translate to "Jimena" in Japanese. Therefore, they started calling themselves the Jimmyz and wear glasses and plain shirts with their logo on it.

There is a bigger story here however. Mochizuki, Kanda and Susuma all founded the original M2K stable in Toryumon(Dragon Gate's old name). They were a bunch of young brash heels who wore cool army bomber jackets, had dyed hair and rode scooters to the ring.

Susumu hits Mocchy with his own triangle enzugiri
Masaaki Mochizuki got the win over Jimmy Kanda with a triangle enzugiri. I've seen this pimped as a MOTYC but I definitely didn't see anything even remotely close to that here. It was a good match, but it wasn't even the best DG match I reviewed today. It was a little slow in the beginning when they did armwork on Susumu but I didn't like how they never followed up on it. The "brawling" up to the stands was also sad and pointless. Rating:***1/4
