TNA Impact 10/2/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/tna-impact-9252025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/tna-impact-1092025.html

We are in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

We see clips from Victory Road.

Mike Santana talks to Santino outside. Mike and Trick are forbidden to touch each other tonight. He says he can hit him back if Trick starts it though.

The King's Speech

Kaz says he will pose for 3-5 seconds so the morons can give him a standing ovation. Frankie Kazarian rips The Hardy's. He says Leon Slater is great but asks if he can lead the company like he did and says he doesn't think so. He then brings out Kelani Jordan. He says most of the Knockouts aren't nice here and says they say KJ's win was a fluke. KJ says she's never been a fluke.

Kaz says she's from NXT and she's the Knockouts champ. He says the TNA champ is from NXT too. Kaz says if he was champ, Trick would not have beaten him like he did with the fluke Joe Hendry.

Trick Williams comes out. Trick says he likes Kaz but says to put respect on his name. Trick says if Kaz is the king, he's the emperor. Kaz says Trick can't talk heirarchy until he put the years in he did. Trick says Kaz is a 2nd rate champ in a 2nd rate business. He says TNA is full of 2nd rate talent.

Trick then says if Mike Santana puts his hands on him before Bound for Glory, the match will be cancelled. Trick says TNA is on fire because of him.

Matt Hardy comes out. He says we have self-esteem issues in this ring. Matt says TNA is on fire due to The Hardy's, Santana and Leon Slater. Kaz asks where Jeff is and says he's not even allowed here. He says he wishes he wasn't allowed in this dump of a country.

Leon Slater comes out. He says Jeff isn't here but he is. He says he'll stand by Matt's side anytime. Trick tells him to mind his business. KJ says she will show why no one can do it like Lani.

Indi Hartwell comes out. She says she respects KJ but she hasn't fought someone like her. Indi says she has the support of the locker room and fans and will bring the title home. Kaz complains and kicks everyone off the show.

Santino comes out. He tells everyone to take it easy. He says he needs a match for tonight and asks if we want to see a 6-man tag. He then makes the match with these 6. He says it'll start after the break.

Thoughts: This was a long one and it got silly with so many people coming out.

Indi Hartwell, Leon Slater and Matt Hardy vs Kelani Jordan, Frankie Kazarian and Trick Williams

Indi front facelocks Kelani and KJ tries a pin on her. KJ backslides her. Kaz tags in and shoves Indi from behind. Indi hits him and wristlocks him. Matt 2nd rope elbow drops Kaz's arm and armbreakers it. Kaz takes a double team. Leon hits mounted corner punches on Kaz. Indi and KJ get in. Indi hits shots on her and Kaz trips Indi from the outside. KJ codebreakers Indi.

KJ low crossbodies Indi for 2. KJ knees Indi in the back and bodyscissors her. Indi boots her away. Leon comes in and running facekicks Trick. He corner dropkicks him. Leon handspring back elbows him for 2. Trick hits mounted shots on Leon then flapjacks him. Trick full-nelsons Leon.

We go to break and return. Trick full-nelson's Leon. Kaz tries to hit Leon but hits Trick instead on accident. Leon rewind kicks Trick. Matt tags in. He hits shots on Trick and bangs his head off the buckles. Matt corner lariats Trick then hits a side effect on him for 2. Matt ddt's Trick and Kaz together.

Trick leg lariats Matt. Leon goes to springboard in but is stopped then slingshotted into a cutter. Indi top rope elbow drops Kaz's back. 4 of the 6 fight outside. Leon misses a corner splash on Trick. Trick runs into Mike Santana on commentary then Kaz is pushed into both of them. Since Trick touched Mike, Mike can hit him. Mike pounds on Trick and bangs his head off the commentary table. Leon top rope corkscrew dives over the post on Kaz. Leon hits a swanton 450 on Kaz and wins.

Thoughts: Mike getting his hands on Trick was the big moment of this one. That was entertaining. As always with intergender matches, the men were dumb and didn't take out the women and the women were able to get the edge on the guys. It was about average overall.

Tommy Dreamer comes out with the TNA roster. He talks about NXT vs TNA Showdown. Tommy says they are family. He says they will take NXT to the extreme and show why they are TNA. He says they will kick NXT's @ss.

Thoughts: These are always good and this was no different. I liked Tommy rallying the troops.

TNA Injury Report

Gia Miller is cleared from bruising. Ash By Elegance is out of action with no time table for return. The Iinspiration and The Elegance Brand are cleared.

Mara Sade does a video. She said she got into wrestling watching Total Divas. She says she's been wrestling for 4 years now. She says she has had concussions and broken bones then got released from her dream job. She said it was one of the darkest days of her life as it was the light at the end of the tunnel.

The Angel Warriors (Xia Brookside and Lei Ying Lee) vs Kat Von Heez and Ava Lawless

The Warriors do an inset promo. They say something about bringing honor to the titles. Lee says they will dominate.

Lee and Kat lock up. They pull each other's hair. Lee side headlocks her. Xia and Lee hit stereo mounted corner punches. Ava takes a monkey flip. Ava is explodered for 2. Kat takes a PK and a senton for 2.

Ava stomps on Xia then legdrops her. Ava hits a corner splash. Kat backpack stunners Xia then chinlocks her. Xia monkey flips Kat. Lee and Ava get in. Lee hits strikes and push kicks her. Lee superkicks her then dropkicks her. Lee pulls her neck forward and basement dropkicks her for 2. Lee is flipped onto Ava with an iconoclasm and she pins her.

Thoughts: It was a quick one and it wasn't that good. Ava needs to work on her bumps a bit. Kat did fine here. Xia and Lee aren't the strongest women's wrestlers in TNA and I'm not sure if they teaming up is a great idea.

Joe Hendry talks in the back. He said he overcame Eric Young at Victory Road. He says the student overcame the teacher. He said Eric brought a chair in but was thrown on it. Santino comes in. He says Joe will have a rematch with Eric next week and it'll be No DQ. He says it's above him and was made by management. Joe doesn't seem pleased.

We get a Mike Santana video with him walking around outside then sitting in an empty arena. Amazing Red then joins him. He says back in the day it was him The SAT, Ki, Homicide and Divine Storm. Red says they took the world by storm and took no prisoners. Red said people said they were too small but they proved them wrong. Red said the opened the door for people like Mike. He says Mike is letting someone disrespect them like that.

Red talks about him losing at Slammiversary. He said him and Homicide wondered what happened when he got pinned. He said it was disappointment. Red said they wasted their time and there was no celebration. He said Mike let someone come in his house and take something that belonged to him.

Red says his crew had their time and now Mike has Bound for Glory coming up. He said Trick came in his house, slapped his family then sh!t on the door step. Red says no more of this culture thing. He says it's not about his family and friends. He says he needs to do this for himself. He says everything will be the way it is supposed to when he gets the title. He says he won't lose again. He says bring the title home.

Nic Nemeth vs The Home Town Man

Ryan Nemeth has Home's mask. Home has an Oilers jersey on.

Ryan distracts Home but then Home hits punches on Nic. He spinning punches Nic then boots him in the corner. Home running hip attacks him then airplane spins him. Home TKO's him for 2.

Ryan holds Home's foot. Nic splashes and neckbreakers him for 2. Nic chokes Home on the ropes then Ryan does too. Nic pulls on Home's mask and grounded sleepers him. Nic gets cocky then is hit with lariats. Home slams him then elbow drops him.

Home hits a shiranui for 2 when Ryan puts Nic's foot on the ropes. Home topes Ryan outside and takes his mask back. Nic superkicks and zig zags Home to win.

Thoughts: I didn't like this. Home had a win streak going on here. Insted of losing it in some big match, he loses it on a random Impact episode for no real reason. It was short and not much of note.

The Nemeth's beat up on Home after. Matt Cardona comes out to make the save.

Gia Miller does a promo. She says she wishes she could say she was surprised by Tessa wasting no time and attacking her after Victory Road. She says she's not. She says she's glad Tessa Blanchard attacked her. She says she will do what she said she would do. She says Tessa thinks she knows her but she doesn't know the first thing about her. Gia says she knows everything about Tessa. Gia says she's not a world champ but is someone who was pushed too far. She says all she cares about is beating her within an inch of her life, not winning or losing. She says only then will she know who Gia is.

Tasha Steelz vs Alisha Edwards

Both have their whole factions with them. TS pushes her then is taken down and hit. Alisha hits more forearms then thesz presses her with more shots. Alisha pounds on her in the corner then chops her.

Alisha hits more chops. John Skylar trips Alisha then TS back elbows her. TS foot chokes Alisha. TS snapmares her then PK's her. Alisha hits running lariats then back elbows her in the corner. Alisha low crossbodies her in the corner for 2.

TS jawbreakers her then falcon arrows her for 2. TS superkicks her for 2. Hotch gets on the apron. Eddie pulls him down. The 2 factions shove each other outside. TS misses a kendo stick shot on Alisha. Alisha hits her in the gut with it. Alisha pedigrees her and wins.

Thoughts: The kendo stick shot was a little unnecessary, but I liked it otherwise. Alisha was aggressive here and they made it look like a fight. They kept it short and simple and it worked.

TS attacks Alisha from behind after. Alisha gets the edge with mounted shots and TS retreats. The two factions stand off.

Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford talk. Tess says she became a superstar internationally and came back to TNA after training with George South. She says Gia wanted to be trained by her trainer as she idolized her. She says Gia realized she wasn't cut out for this business then cried and went to Mike Jackson's school. Tessa says Mike's school was a joke. She says Gia's pathetic and she's terrified of what she will do to her. She says she's that same scared little girl who couldn't hack it. Tessa tells her to pack up her things, hit the rod and she'll forget this happened.

They talk about NXT Showdown this week.

George Iceman talks before the next match. He says to shut your mouth and show some respect for The Elegance Brand.

TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Title Match - The Elegance Brand (Heather By Elegance & M By Elegance) (c) vs. The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessie McKay)

HBE = Heather By Elegance

I can't say I like The Elegance Brand's chances here with Ash out. The Brand are waving checkered flags for some reason.

HBE goes for a shot and is hit. Jess shoulders her over. HBE takes a double hiptoss for 2. HBE forearms her. M pump kicks Jess in the corner for 2. Cass shoulders over M. M hip attacks Jess for 2.

Jess headscissors M down. HBE is tagged in. Her head is banged off the buckles. HBE boots her in the corner and foot chokes her. Jess stomps on HBE in the corner.

M is thrown in. Jess and Cass hit stereo corner attacks then pose. HBE is grabbed by the hair and thrown in. Cass is held in the corner and hit from behind. M stomps Cass in the corner. She suplexes her. We go to break and return.

M hits a step up senton for 2. HBE bangs one of her opponents faces off the buckles then goes into the buckle face first. Jess goes for the tag but Cass is pulled off the apron. M pump kicks Jess for 2. M pulls Jess' arms back.

Jess takes down M with some odd looking move then both go down. Cass comesin and hits lariats. She spinning heel kicks M then pounds on HBE. She jumping codebreakers HBE for 2. Cass blue thunders HBE for 2.

George Iceman argues with the ref. Cass yells at the ref and HBE eye rakes Cash. M superkicks Cass and HBE gets a 2 count on Cass. HBE throws perfume in M's eyes then Cass ducks. HBE takes a double team ripcord drop and is pinned.

Thoughts: I called that one. I do feel bad for The Brand though. Ash is out and they rushed to get those titles off of The Brand. I'm not sure what happens to them now. The structure of the match was fine but it was acceptable at best here. Heather looked like a midget compared to the other girls in the ring here.

Overall thoughts: We had some fun stuff here. The Tommy Dreamer rally on the stage was well done. I liked seeing The Amazing Red again. I also liked Santana getting to beat up Trick after Trick ran into him. Alisha/Tasha was good. We also got a title change to close the show. I didn't like The Home Town Man losing his win streak the way he did and I am concerned about The Elegance Brand as Ash is now out and TNA rushed to get those titles off of them. I'd give the show a 6 out of 10 as it was a fun show overall with some good moments and wrestling.

TNA Xplosion 9/26/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/tna-xplosion-9192025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/tna-xplosion-1032025.html

This was not put up until Thursday on Youtube.

Around the Ring with Gia Miller

Trey Miguel is this week's guest. Trey said he was out due to a suspected hernia but it was just a pulled muscle. He said he wanted Slammiversary while he was out and says Jeff Hardy tried to kill his boys. He said he got a new tattoo. He said he did an 18 hour session straight then did a 3 day session. Gia says The Rascalz let out a call when they can't find the other and they explain it. Trey then demonstrates it.

Trey says being out was worth it if it meant bringing Myron Reed back. He then namedrops Wes Lee and says there's four of us. Gia then says she's going to tree house with Trey.

Myla Grace vs Ruthie Jay

We've seen RJ in NWA many times. She has a new black and grey look.  Myla wristloks her. RJ elbows Myla's arm and wristlocks it. Myla trips her to escape then poses. Myla hits leg kicks then running euros her. Myla dropkicks her through the ropes. Myla twisting suplexes her.

Myla is pulled off the buckles. RJ forearms and chops her. RJ does a corner crossbody then slingshot double knees her in the corner for 2. RJ hits mounted shots. RJ taunts the crowd. Myla forearms her. RJ pulls Myla's throat down over the top then slingshots and rolls into a facebuster for 2.

RJ stretches Myla's arms backwards. Myla hits forearms. RJ double throat thrusts her and is lariated. Myla does a twisting double underhook drop for 2. Myla michinoku drivers her. Myla top rope tornillos and pins RJ.

Thoughts: It was about average. There was no great logic here and just some mild face vs heel work here. Nobody botched anything and both girls looked fine.

Overall thoughts: There was only one new match and interview as usual. Neither was must see and you could get through all the new content in about 10 minutes. I wouldn't recommend it but it didn't take long to watch.

WWE Evolve 10/1/2025

WWE Evolve 10/1/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-evolve-9242025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-evolve-10822025.html

Note - Edris Enofe quit WWE this week, so we won't be seeing him at the next set of tapings. He's been around for a while and hasn't really made much progress, so I can understand why he left. He was best when he teamed with Blade. I didn't find him very interesting as a singles worker.

Adrenaline Drip (Jack Cartwheel and Cappuccino Jones) vs Jax Presley and Harley Riggins

Jax's team does an inset promo. He says he gets the jealousy when they see two blue chip dogs. Har says they wanted this rematch. They said they don't drive thousands of miles and sleep on floors as stars don't do that. They say indy workers do it.

Jax clubs on CJ and side headlocks him. Har pushes CJ into Jax on accident. Jack gets in and he hits a double dropkick with CJ on Har. Har is double lariated over the top. Jack flying headscissors Har then armdrags him after bouncing off the ropes.

Har goes down and holds his knee. Jax checks on Har. Jax gets behind the faces then nails them. Har then facekicks Jack. Har stomps on Jack. Jack is stomped on by the heels in the corner then he is hit with a double shoulder for 2.

Jax hits punches on Jack. Jax slams him for 2. Har backcrackers Jack then chokes him on the ropes. Har pulls Jack's arms back then misses an elbow drop on him. CJ is tagged in. He hits shots on the heels and dropkicks Jax. CJ springboard back elbows Jax.

CJ corner lariats Jax then top rope crossbodies him. Jax takes a superkick into a dragon suplex. Har TKO's CJ then Jack top rope corkscrew moonsaults Har. Jax backbreakers Jack on his knee. Jack bulldogs Jax. Har is sent into the post. Jack flying space tigers Har outside then cartwheel back elbows Jax in the corner.

Jax takes a flatliner + top rope diving flipping cutter. CJ then pins Jax.

Thoughts: The heels won last time so the faces got their win back. Their last battle was a bit better but there was nothing wrong with this. The Drip have some new tag team moves and their flatliner + cutter move is pretty unique. I like Harley faking an injury here. I liked this one overall.

Tate Wilder is interviewed in the locker room. He says Chuey has a job to do and so does he. He says he's ready for the challenge vs Enofe tonight. He says he has to right the first wrong in his Evolve journey vs Enofe to get to Ridge. He says he can't lose to him again. Sean Legacy comes in. He tells Tate to focus on his opponent tonight and not worry about Ridge. Sean says Enofe is arrogant but he's tough with a chip on his shoulder.

The Vanity Project of Zayda, Drake and Bryce talk in the back. Drake says he's the Evolve champ and Bryce is the weak stock. He says Bryce needs to lock in. Bryce says he's been doing everything for The Project. He says Drake talks to him like a child. Bryce says he knows what he needs to do and what he's going to do. Drake says this is the Bryce he's been looking for. He says The Project has a problem and asks who will solve it. Bryce says he will and shoves him. Drake then tells Zayda he just needed to get Bryce motivated.

Edris Enofe vs Tate Wilder

EE has an exaggerated entrance with a lot of posing. EE back elbows and boots him. EE pounds and boots on him in the corner. EE misses a corner charge. Tate's throat is pulled down over the top rope.

EE hits a crossface shot on the outside on him. Tate facekicks him outside then wraparound kicks him on the post. Tate 2nd rope twisting crossbodies but lands on EE's double knees. EE hits mounted punches on Tate.

EE hits short arm lariats for 2. Tate hits shots to the gut. EE grounded sleepers him. Tate backdrops him. Tate hits punches on EE then running lariats him. EE dropkicks him then backcrackers him for 2.

EE takes the top buckle off. EE grabs a chair outside. Sean Legacy comes out and takes the chair from EE. Tate does a hard top rope dive on EE, splashing him into the floor. Tate hits some shots in the ring and flying shoulders him. EE rolls him up for 2. Tate twisting suplexes him. Tate top rope moonsaults him for the win.

Thoughts: If EE hadn't announced he was done with WWE this week, I would have been surprised by this. EE has been pushed much harder and is higher up on the totem pole yet he lost here. It's a good win for Tate but maybe a little too soon. Tate does the right stuff but he is a bit generic and needs to fix that somehow. The match was about average and EE didn't really impress with the offense he got in.

Diggs, Holiday and Choo talk in the back. Choo got rid of her Evil look. Holiday says she likes the new look. Diggs wants her to do tiktok videos with them. Nikkita Lyons comes in. She says she liked it when Choo didn't talk and says her voice makes her ears bleed. Choo says, "what a b!tch!".

Kali Armstrong vs Carlee Bright

They lock up. Kali blocks a headlock takeover and throws her down backwards. CB gets out of a top wristlock then wristlocks her. CB knees her in the gut, walks up the ropes and diving armdrags her. CB is lifted for a backdrop but she does a headlock takeover off of it. CB has the side headlock on and Kali throws her out.

CB hits a running corner spear then does another. Kali powerslams her for 2. Kali throws her out. Kali hits elbow drops then totally misses one (she wasn't close). Kali misses a corner spear and goes into the post. CB hits some shots and flying headscissors her.

CB cartwheels into a headscissors on her. CB then does a tornado bulldog for 2. CB is caught off the top and she cradles Kali out of it for 2. Kali powerslams her. Kali runs the ropes and running shoulders her over. Kali stares down Kendal Grey at ringside. Kali hits another running shoulder and CB backflips for it. Kali wins.

Thoughts
: It was an okay match here. CB was the clear underdog and worked as such. Kali hit some nice corner spears here. I liked CB's flip bump for the finish.

We get a video on Brooks Jensen. He says tonight is the moment he has waited for since he stepped into the PC. He says he's 3 seconds away from earning a singles title opportunity. He says the beast Keanu Carver stands in his way. He says KC has rage in him but so does he. He says he's been a tag champ, lost his friends, been kicked out of the cult and still picked himself up. He said he just wanted an opportunity. He says he will kick the hinges off the door of opportunity and says he will see Jackson Drake at Succession.

We get a video on WWE ID.

It's Gal, Drako Knox, Shady (he's a new Egyptian Olympian who hasn't debuted on TV) and Braxton Cole are in the locker room. Gal says he doesn't want to fall behind and is different. Dante Chen walks in. He says Gal will bounce back and it's ups and downs. Gal says maybe for him but for Gal it's always up. Chen says instead of helping him, he should put him next to Jamar Hampton in the hospital. Gal says it's rude and says it's kicking a man while he's down.

#1 Contender's Match - Keanu Carver vs Brooks Jensen

They lock up and let go. KC throws him off of him. BJ top wristlocks him and KC shoulders him over. BJ is caught coming off the buckles. BJ hits euros and forearms. KC slams him. BJ upkicks him. KC slams him. BJ takes a back body drop then a samoan drop for 2.

We see The Vanity Project in the back. Drake says it could go anywhere and asks if Bryce has this. Drake wants to see if he can get it done. BJ hits forearms on KC. KC hits back elbows. KC goes shoulder first into the post.

We go to break and return. KC hits forearms. BJ 2nd rope knee drops KC's arm. KC top wristlock takedowns him for 1. BJ armlocks him. KC hits forearms then is pulled into the buckles shoulder first. BJ 2nd rope knee drops KC's arm for 2.

KC hits forearms and BJ is sent into the post shoulder first. KC forearms him down then fallaway slams him. KC pop-up samoan drops him for 2. BJ hits a big lariat for 2. BJ hits a short arm lariat. BJ 2nd rope legdrops him for 2. BJ hits chest kicks then backdrops him. KC pounces BJ over the top rope. KC hits an enka otoshi variation and gets the win.

Thoughts
: BJ worked the arm the whole time here before going down as expected. It was about average. Armwork works as a story but it's not always the most exciting. KC didn't get a ton of offense in. The finishing stretch wasn't super exciting.

Bryce Donovan comes out and chairs KC after. Bryce stomps KC's arm into a chair. The Vanity Project come out and celebrate. Drake talks trash. Drake tries to shake Bryce's hand after. Bryce hesitates but does it.

Overall thoughts: It was an okay episode of Evolve. The opener was the best thing on here. Kali/Bright was the second best match but it was more one sided. The main was acceptable but not super exciting and Enofe/Tate was average. Wendy Choo is going in a new direction and I feel like the show is settling into a formula. We are 2 weeks away from Succession and the big matches are set. I'd give this a 6 out of 10. It was fine and they did what they were supposed to on this one.

AEW Dynamite 10/1/2025 6 Year Anniversary

AEW Dynamite 10/1/2025 6 Year Anniversary

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/aew-dynamite-9242025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/aew-dynamite-1072025-title-tuesday.html

This is a 2.5 hour special. we are in Hollywood, Florida. Exaclibur, Bryan Danielson and Tazz are on commentary.

The Young Bucks talk outside. They say it's the 6th year anniversary of Dynamite. They've got big ideas for an entrance. They then go to the casino with the money they won from the all-star tag and gamble. The one Buck goes to check out the money after and it's all gone.

Kenny Omega, Bandido and Brody King vs The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson) and Josh Alexander

Kenny and Josh push each other. Josh side headlocks him. Josh shoulders him over. Kenny hurricanrana's him. Kenny drives a Buck down then King flapjacks one Buck onto the other. He then sentons both. Badn springboard crossbodies both Bucks.

Band ducks sueprkicks and dances. The Bucks cartwheel off a double armdrag and dance. Band hurricanrana's both. Kenny dropkicks both. Kenny and Band then dance. King lariats The Bucks. Kenny plancha's outside and Band top rope moonsaults outside. King slams people on Josh then Band slams King on Josh. King takes a double superkick then a pop-up dropkick. Band springboards into a double dropkick then he is lifted for a cutter.

Kenny does a double bulldog on The Bucks. Kenny takes a double superkick then a crossbody to the back on the apron. A Buck corkscrew plancha's outside. Kenny takes a triple team in the corner then an assisted torture rack drop. We go to PiP break and return.

Kenny overhead suplexes one Buck into another. King getsin and hits lariats. King black hole slams Josh for 2. King misses a corner charge and he hits shots on The Bucks. King hits a sliding lariat on a Buck. Josh slams Band on the apron then King cannonballs Josh off the apron. Kenny flapjacks a Buck into the other's crotch. Kenny tope con hilos out.

A Buck flips out of a 21plex. Band's team all hits triple drivers for 2 counts. Josh hits germans on Kenny then hits one on Band. Josh germans King. Kenny takes kicks to the head and forearms. Kenny is then superkicked and basically takes a double team styles clash for 2.

Josh ankle locks Kenny. Kenny snap dragons The Bucks and poisonrana's Josh. Kenny powerbombs Josh then pumping knees him. Band hits a 21 plex then Kenny hits a one-winged angel on Josh and wins.

Thoughts: It was very fast paced. They did lots of cool moves but no one sold any of them as they just had to move over to the next spot. Everyone got all their big spots in here and it went close to 20 minutes. I didn't like Kenny dancing around either when The Bucks were part of taking him out a year ago.

Kenny tries to make friends with The Bucks after and Josh drops Kenny with a forearm. Josh then pounds on him. Jungle Boy then comes out with Luchasauras. Jack and Lucha beat up The Bucks. Kenny snap dragon's Josh. Kenny and Jack shove each other. Jack topes The Bucks outside and they fight to the back.

Kenny talks on the mic after. He says it's been 6 years. He says it doesn't matter how pleasant the journey is as you can take solace in the journey itself. He says we've made and lost friends and he says he's a better person from all that went down.

The lights go out. Someone in a mask shows up and it's Andrade El Idolo, who is fresh from WWE. Andrade lariats Kenny then double underhook twisting drops him. Don Callis then shakes hands with Andrade and holds his arm up.

Thoughts
: This segment didn't make much sense. Jungle Boy tried to kill Kenny a year or so ago and is now trying to be his friends. He's also now mad at The Bucks despite being their friend months ago. Kenny also wants to be friends with The Bucks despite them taking him out yet is mad at Jungle Boy for the same thing. Kyle Fletcher, who took Kenny out a few weeks ago, was not mentioned here.

We get a history of Dynamite video.

Mark Briscoe does a promo. He says it's a night of celebration for AEW's 6 years but also a night of reflection. He says his life has been consumed by MJF. He says MJF is all talk. He said he showed MJF. He says MJF cost him a shot at the TNT and says Kyle took out Hologram. He says he can be happy for his friends and will celebrate when OC wins tonight while MJF is at home taking the tacks out of his @ss.

AEW TNT Title - Kyle Fletcher (c) vs Orange Cassidy

OC side headlocks him and rolls him up. Kyle blocks pin attempts. They fight over a backslide. OC tries to put his hands in his pockets and Kyle facekicks him. OC topes him outside. Kyle enzugiri's him while he's on the buckles.

We go to PiP break and return. Kyle does OC's weak kicks to him. OC tries to stick his hands in his pockets and is kicked. Kyle then superkicks him. Kyle stomps him and OC armdrags him into the buckles. OC boots him around. Kyle blocks a PK.

Kyle's head is banged off the buckles and OC ddt's him. Kyle catches OC's top rope crossbody and michinoku drivers him. OC stunners him off a suplex attempt. Kyle suplexes him then OC superkicks him. Kyle superkicks him back then OC ddt's him off a powerbomb attempt. OC spinning ddt's him.

OC rolls him up for 2 and Kyle spinning tombstones him for 2. Kyle running facekicks him and OC cradles him for 2. They superkick each other. OC headbutts Kyle up top. Don Callis gets on the apron. Hologram then comes out and stops Don. Hologram trips OC on the top rope. Kyle brainbusters OC on the top buckle and wins.

Thoughts
: I didn't like it. There was little selling here and just no break from one move to the next. They'd talk about how deadly a move was then they'd be up and at it again right after. OC also kept putting his hands in his pockets despite thing being a serious title match.

Hologram, Don and Kyle beat up on OC after. The Conglomeration and Paragon save OC after. The Don Callis Family then comes out on the ramp. Hologram takes his shirt off an the announcers say it's the Hologram clone.

Mercedes Mone is interviewed. Mone says she will put her title on the line next week. She says she will wrestle someone from Florida.  She says she wants to know who her partner will be for an upcoming tag and Harley Cameron comes in with the Mone puppet. They argue and Mone turns her down.

The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli and Daniel Garcia) vs The Opps (Samo Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs) and Adam Page

Joe hits punches and forearms on CC to start. He chokes him in the corner. Joe back elbows him down. Joe is triple teamed in the corner. Mox and Joe trade shots. Joe sweeps and sentons him. Page gets in and hits mounted corner punches on DG. Page fallaway slams DG.

DG is back body dropped over the top then Page plancha's him. DG facekicks him. Hobbs hits a double shoulderblock. Hobbs splashes Mox and Cc in the corner then lariat flurries Mox. Hobbs lariats Mox.

DG hits forearms on Hobbs then Hobbs lariats him over. Hobbs blocks Mox's tope then slams him on the apron three times. Hobbs then throws him down on the floor. We go to PiP break and return.

Hobbs takes corner spears. DG corner lariats Hobbs. CC euros Hobbs then karelin's lifts him. Hobbs powerslams CC. Page gets in and its shots on DG. Page springboard lariats CC. Page lariats DG. DG boots Page out of the corner then Page death valley drivers him for 2.

Mox ddt's Joe then takes a buckshot lariat. CC pop-up euros Page for 2. Page hits deadeye on CC. Page buckshot lariats him and wins.

Thoughts: It was a fast paced, action packed tag here. Lots of stiff shots and striking in this one. I liked it. Page stayed out of this one until the end. DG felt out of place in this.

Joe shoves Page after and argues with him. Security comes down to try and stop this. Joe takes a shot at him and threatens him.

JetSpeed talks to Willow about FTR and Stoke. They say they got this against them. Kevin wants a 1v1 with an FTR member. Willow says she will have their back this weekend. Stoke and FTR talk. Stoke says they have a surprise for Willow. Stoke agrees to a Kevin match against an FTR member but says he won't find out until match time.

Adam Page is interviewed in the back. He says Samoa Joe threw a b!tch fit as he handed him his title and dropped it. He says Joe told him he never beat him. Page says it's about the World Title. Page says he has the title partly because of Joe and will give him a title match at All In. He says he respects Joe but will ruin his life if he throws another fit at him.

Anna Jay and Tay Melo do an inset promo. Tay says what better way to celebrate another year of Dynamite than to face Toni Storm. She says the time is now and they will fight for the first time.

Toni Storm vs Tay Melo

Toni armdrags Tay off the lock up. Tay does a triangle and then tries a pin. Tay side headlocks her. Toni shoulders her over and basement dropkicks her. Toni backbreakers her. Tay hanging triangles her over the top rope. Toni sweeps Tay on the apron. We go to PiP break and return.

Tay pump kicks her in the corner twice then they facebuster each other at the same time. They trade forearms. Toni ddt's her. Tay pump kicks her in the corner. Toni hits a german then corner hip attacks her. Toni hits storm zero and pins her.

Thoughts
: Tay got a lot of offense here before going down as expected. It was pretty average but they kept it moving.

Toni gets on the mic after. She said she heard silence when she lost at the PPV and Kris was everything she wasn't - a glorious champ. She says she wondered who she is without the title. She says she's not finished with Kris and needs to face her 1v1. She tells her to name the time and place.

Sammy Guevara says LFI is on fire. He says Eddie Kingston came back and says his momentum will crash him into a brick wall. Eddie says Sammy will get Dralistico beat up when they fight. He tells Dral not to let Sammy speak for him as he will kick Dral's @ss in the match.

Samoa Joe and Powerhouse Hobbs are interviewed. Joe says it's no surprise with Page. He asks if they are allies and friends. He says this isn't a misunderstanding but it's understood. He says he's been too worried about The Death Riders and forgot who he is. He says he's Joe and Page has never beaten him or been greater than him. He says Page is standing in front of Joe and allow him to welcome him to a world of deep sh!t.

The Gates of Agony (Bishop Kaun and Toa Liona) vs The Swirl (Lee Johnson and Blake Christian)

Ricochet is on commentary. Kaun drops Lee with a shot to start. Lee flips out of a backdrop and Toa corner lariats him. Lee is double pounded on in the corner. Kaun chops Ric hard. Kaun takes a step up enzugiri. BC handspring corkscrew kicks Kaun twice. He is then caught and takes a gutbuster.

We go to PiP break and return. B stunners Toa over the top rope. BC springboard dropkicks Kaun in the back. Lee hits forearms on Kaun then step up enzugiri's him. Kaun is pulled out then Lee is too. Lee gets back in and tope con hilos Kaun.

Toa goes into the post outside and BC fosbury flops him through the ropes. Toa runs over BC outside. Lee takes a corner meteora then a double team chokeslam. Kaun picks up the win.

Thoughts: I liked it and had no issues with it. The GOA looked big and bad here and The Swirl flew some.

Ric hits a spirit gun after then The Hurt Syndicate come out. MVP asks if there are any 954, 786 or 305 area codes in the building. MVP says Ricochet is in his neighborhood. MVP says he embarassed himself at All Out. He said he owes everyone an apology as he let Ricochet beat him. MVP says maybe he lost a step. He says he doesn't want to wrestle or get a 3 count. He wants a No DQ Street Fight. He asks if they will fight them next week. Ric agrees.

Kris Statlander is interviewed. She says it's been 6 years of AEW and 6 years of crossing paths. She says her and Toni never wrestled 1v1. She challenges her to a title match at Wrestledream. Harley Cameron comes in and hypes her up then ducks off screen.

Don Callis, Okada and Takeshita are interviewed. Don says when you think they are down and out, they take it to the next level. Don says they added 2 members. He said they took out Omega but Brodido escaped. He challenges them to face Takeshita and Okada next week. Takeshita complains, saying "me and him?". Okada says "yeah, you and me."

Tornado Tag Match - Darby Allin and Kris Statlander vs The Death Riders (Wheeler Yuta and Marina Shafir)

The faces nail Yuta and MS in the crowd. Yuta is popped up into a ceiling by Kris. Darby chokes Yuta with something. MS headscissors Kris in the aisle then MS' head is banged off a rail. Kris crossbodyes the heels off a railing. Darby chairs Yuta.

Darby puts Yuta in a chair and misses a tope con hilo on him, going into the chair solo. Kris drives MS into the rail. MS hits shots on Kris while she's seated on a table.

We go to PiP break and return. Yuta is sent into the corner and Kris drives MS' face into the mat. MS boots Kris in the face and 619's into a headscissor spike on her on the apron. Darby and Yuta trade forearms. Darby is german'd on chairs.

Kris and MS fight on the rail top. Kris suplexes her through the timekeepers table. Darby top rope superplexes Yuta onto chairs. Yuta arm is put in the ring post and Darby hits shots on him. Yuta bridging neckbreakers him on the apron.

Yuta pours out thumbtacks. Kris hits shots on Yuta. Yuta does a nasty looking olympic slam variation on her. Yuta is suplexed on a stack of chairs. MS is dropped bare feet first on tacks. Yuta throws powder in MS' eyes on accident. MS is blinded and chokes Yuta. Kris 450's both off the top. Darby top rope coffin drops Yuta and him and Kris pin Yuta.

Thoughts: As with all intergender matches, the question is asked of why the men don't nail the girls and get the easy win. The breaks cut this one up a bit. The action was fine but I didn't think it was super memorable. Darby took a bad looking tope con hilo into an open chair and MS had a bunch of tacks go into her feet which had to hurt. I do wonder why The Death Riders didn't interfere here since there were no rules.

Toni Storm comes on the ramp after and stares at Kris. They stare down and smile then hockey fight. Darby whips Yuta with a belt. Pac comes out and hits Darby from behind. Pac puts the belt around Darby's neck and chokes him. Mox gets on the mic. He says Darby has 0 chance of doing what he needs to do to win. He says he doesn't know how he will do it but Darby will say he quits. Pac then lariats Darby after.

Overall thoughts: Once we got past OC and The Bucks, things got a bit better. The show went long but really didn't need to. If they cut out The GoA and Toni matches, this would have ended around it's usual time. The show was fine as whole as they are starting to put Wrestledream together. I'd give the show a 6 out of 10 as I thought they did okay with a longer show than usual and they were able to keep my attention.

NWA Powerrr 9/30/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/nwa-powerrr-9232025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/nwa-powerrr-1072025.html

Knox and Murdoch (Mike Knox and Trevor Murdoch) vs The Primetime Cowboys (Ty Awesome and Shawn Carlson)

Eric Smalls is with The Cowboys. This is The Cowboys' NWA debut.

Knox clubs on SC to start then chops him. Knox punches him out then suplex throws him. TM throws him down then half-nelson suplexes Ty. TM chops down Ty in the corner and hits a short arm lariat. TM hits another short arm lariat then elbows him in the head. Ty takes a corner splash, a lariat then an elbow drop. Knox throws him out. TM throws Ty into the steps.

Knox sky highs SC and then Ty takes a high-low. Ty is then pinned.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash here. This wasn't a good way to debut The Cowboys.

Smalls gets on the mic after. He says Knox and Murdoch disrespected him for the last time and put him in the hospital. Smalls says he wants a match with them. Trevor says they will see him tonight and agrees after Billy Corgan says he's not booking that. Billy says they have to pick one of them.

Mike Mondo is at Bitcrush looking for the boss. They say they have no boss then say he's on vacation. Mondo then grabs them and gets them to say his name is Mel. He says to get the boss out here. Mondo says they won't go anywhere until he talks to the boss. Tiffany Nieves, the psychologist guy and the unnamed guy who always works here appears. Mondo says his name is Mel. Mondo says him and Mel will have their day. He threatens the psychologist guy. He says Nieves disappoints him most as she has 2 titles and knows better. Tiff says he has a lot of audacity to talk to a woman this way. Tiff says she doesn't think he can take her on. She says to keep the titles out of his mouth or he will spank him with them. She then says not to talk to her friends like that again or he will pay.

Thoughts
: Yeah, it's another Bitcrush segment. I don't know what went on with Mel, Tiff and the psychologist guy and I don't want to know.

Murdoch and Knox talk. Murdoch says Smalls wants a match with them. Knox says he can't. Murdoch says Smalls the chihuahua scares him. Knox says Murdoch can take him then Murdoch says the same. They do rock, paper, scissors but keep choosing rock. They say they will figure it out.

#1 Contender's Match to the NWA Jr. Heavyweight Title - Alex Misery vs Rich Swann

Alex Taylor is on commentary for this.

Alex wristlocks him and they reverse the hold on each other. RS does kip ups and kip downs then they try to dropkick each other at the same time. They headflip up together. RS flips over him then dropkicks him for 2. RS spin kicks him in the gut. Alex flips over him and RS cartwheels out of a headscissors. Alex 2nd rope diving headscissors him then dropkicks him for 2.

Alex hits chops in the corner. RS is thrown chest first into the buckles. RS hits superkicks and a neckbreaker. RS mule kicks him then cannonballs him off the apron. RS hits a top rope frogsplash for 2. RS misses a top rope 450 and is rolled up for 2. Alex tope con hilos him outside. Alex does a neat flatliner variation for 2.

Alex hits punches. RS handsprings into a cutter on him for 2. RS superkicks him in the face. RS 2nd rope phoenix splashes him and wins.

Thoughts: I liked it. Rich hit all of his spots clean and looked like a pro here. Alex was a fine partner for him. It was a decent juniors match.

Aron Stevens asks Carson Drake if they know who they are without guidance. He says he did thinks Drake hasn't done and he was younger when he did it. Aron says things aren't working out for Drake. He says Drake thinks he knows it all. He says he has made more money than Drake ever made. Aron says he knows why he lost the match vs Thom. He says he can keep pretending to be a professional but he won't be. He says Drake wants to be at the top but he's been there and is still there.

Aron says he has so much potential but his patience is through. He says he has 24 hours to make a decision. Drake says he doesn't need 24 hours and the answer is no.

Eric Smalls vs Either Knox or Murdoch

Knox and Murdoch take a while to figure out who will fight Smalls. Knox pushes a ref down. Murdoch blocks Eric's vision and Knox crossbodies Eric. Murdoch stomps Eric then foot chokes him. Refs come out to stry and stop this. Murdoch elbow drops Eric then Knox elbow drops him. They tease hitting a high/low then drop to their knees and hit it. The crowd chants "one more time".

We go to Culbreath Isles with Markova, Hunter, Tyler Franks, Bryan Idol, Kenzie Paige and her dad Tommy Henry. They are asked what they would do with the money they inherit. Kenzie says she wants to give back to the kids and build a Schoolhouse Rock. Hunter says he will buy a skateboard, build a skate park or get a boat for the kids. Idol wants to make a better wrestling school. Franks says he's overwhelmed as this is life-changing money. He says none of them took the time to think about this and says the benefactor gave them a great honor. He says he wants to share the money with people less fortunate than himself.

Aron Stevens then appears. He says money is an essence of abundance. He says they were left the essence of one person's abundance. He says he'd rather contemplate mortality than what they will do with the money as one day, they will all leave an inheritance. Tommy Henry thinks this is BS and says he's out of here. Hunter leaves with him. Thom Lattimer does a promo. He says he's a fighting champ. He says he thinks he has found his next possible opponent. He says Silas Mason is calling him out, thinking he will get a shot. He says the problem is Silas was beaten in the 1st Round of the Jax Dane Tournament and needs to go to the back of the line. He says he doesn't think he's worthy enough and needs to go through others to prove he's worthy. Thom says when he has done something they can fight for the title.

NWA Women's Television Title - Tiffany Nieves (c) vs Aleah James

This is AJ's NWA debut.

Tiff boots her in the gut to start. Tiff takes her over by the arm. and AJ bridges out of a pin. AJ cartwheels over her and basement dropkicks her. AJ jumping double knees her in the corner and bulldogs her for 2. AJ misses a splash off the 2nd rope.

Tiff stomps on her and hits mounted forearms. Tiff then chokes her. Tiff chokes her on the ropes by kneeling on her neck. Tiff hits a short arm lariat for 2.

Tiff facebusters her then puts her in a sleeper. Tiff knees her in the gut and abdominal stretches her. Tiff cobra twists her. AJ hiptosses her. AJ jawbreakers her and hits flying forearms. AJ crossbodies her for 2. Tiff grabs the ref and hits a soul foot for 2.

AJ cradles her then rolls her up for 1. Tiff spinebusters her then does a texas cloverleaf. AJ taps out.

Thoughts: James lost here as expected. It was all squash with AJ getting very little in. This was a random one.

Natalia Markova does a promo. She says she's ready to fight Kenzie Paige and asks how much longer she will hide from her. She says she beat her sister and says she's ready to be the NWA Women's champ.

The Cazana's do a promo. Joe says they destroyed The Rewind Society. He says Tommy Henry and Hunter want to get in. AJ says Tommy better eat some cheeseburgers if they want to get in the ring with them. He says if they want some, come get some.

Mims vs "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero

Despite the graphic, Mims came out alone here without Blk Jeez. They go face to face and lock up. Pope wristlocks him. Mims reverses it. Pope full nelson's him and Mims escapes. Mims backs him up in the corner. Pope hits armdrags and armlocks him.

Pope hits kicks to the body and flying shoulders him. Mims shoulders him over. Pope suplexes him. Pope hits a corner splash then hits mounted corner punches. Pope lariats him.

Pope takes a stun gun. Mim sstands is over top of him, teases punching him then eventually does. Mims hits a corner splash and short arm lariats him twice. Pope germans him. Pope step up enzugiri's him for 2.

Mim misses a corner splash and takes an uppercut. Pope hits the elijah express and wins.

Thoughts: Pope had to win here since was returning and he thankfully did. The match wasn't anything special though and Pope didn't get much in but the basics.

Mike Mondo and Slade jump Pope after. They stomp on him. Slade holds Pope's leg and Mondo chairs the other leg.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual NWA Powerrr with mostly random matches, none of which were anything special. At least we had some things happen here though as Smalls got taken out again, Pope returned then got jumped by Slade and Mondo and Drake turned down Aron Stevens' help. We also had the usual non-wrestling segments which go on for weeks and have no clear relation to anything else going on. This was an average episode and I'd give it a 5 out of 10 total. I wouldn't recommend it.

WWE NXT 9/30/2025

WWE NXT 9/30/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-nxt-9232025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwe-nxt-1072025-nxt-vs-tna-showdown.html

Notes - Next week's show was supposed to be called Invasion but instead it's being called Showdown. They changed it due to the Israel/Hamas war where October 7 is an important date. I don't agree with that call and was excited to see the Invasion name brought back.

We see clips from No Mercy.

Ricky Saints comes out to talk. He's the new NXT champ and gets a "you deserve it" chant. He says every giant needed to rest and he did that at No Mercy when he put him down. He says the question was "can he do it?" and he asks the crowd if they did it. He said he bet on himself and walked out the new NXT champ. He says you only need to worry about and bet on yourself. He says the only person you gotta look at when you sleep is yourself.

Jacy Jayne comes out. She says we have bigger things to worry about in TNA. She says they have both of TNA's titles and she'd be upset if she were them too.

Ava comes out. She says they will be the NXT team captains and they will do the same. Santino Marella interrupts. He says Tricky Williams won't be his captain but he will let his captains pick the teams. He brings out Mike Santana and Kelani Jordan as the team captains.

Santino says it's not an invasion but a showdown (they had to rename Invasion) or a summit. Jacy complains about Kelani being a captain. Ricky says he will see Santana at the end of the night and they don't need to be focused on the captains.

Je'Von Evans talks to Leon Slater in the back. Evans says they will have the youngest wrestling dream match in history. The Culling walk in. Spears complains about Evans being friends with the enemies. Niko asked if he missed that part. Evans says if they are on different teams next week so be it. Niko invites them to test themselves against them tonight and they agree. Lyra Valkyria walks in and talks to Tatum. She says she has something for her and it's a Lyra doll. Tatum loves it. Izzi pulls Tatum away.

Lash Legend vs Jaida Parker

Lash hits corner spears to start. JP boots her and is hit with a euro. Lash does a delayed suplex for 2. JP boots Lash over the 2nd rope and is forearmed down. JP samoan drops her on the floor.

We go to break and return. Lash is sunset flipped for 2. Lash half crabs her. Lash misses a splash and is hit with a headhunter. Santino, Mike and Slater are talking in the back. JP shoulders her and twisting neckbreakers her for 2.

JP goes for a hip attack and Lash grabs her by her bottoms. JP lays her on the 2nd rope and step up buttpresses her down. Lash pump kicks her. JP is sent into the steps and rails. JP armdrags her into the ropes and running shoulders her for the win.

Thoughts: It didn't go too long but it was alright. I had no issues with it. Jaida was the favorite going in and won.

Ricky Saints talks to everyone in the back. Trick Williams interrupts. Trick says he's his co-captain. He says they need to work together and pick 2 more. Ricky says one needs to be Evans. Trick says he doesn't like him but they need him. Ricky then says Myles Borne should be the other pick. Trick says he doesn't think Borne hears what he's saying. Trick wants Josh Briggs. Evans says Josh is selfish. Trick says Josh and Borne should fight to determine who the last man is.

Ethan Page comes out to talk. He said he turned away another dangerous threat in Tavion Heights. He said he showed there's a talent gap between Olympic athletes and the greatest North American athlete. He says a medical professional is coming after his title - El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr. He says the only doctorate he has is in p!ssing him off.

Someone arrives in a limo. Page tells that person to come out and it's Mustafa Ali. Ali says he had no issues with what he said but with the title he is holding. Page says he doesn't have issues with him and says he hopes he will announce he is the unmasked version of Dr. Wagner. Ali says Page doesn't owe him anything but NXT does. He said he earned a title shot at the North American Title but never got the shot. He says he was promised a match 2 years ago. He said instead of a title match, he got a phone call telling him his services aren't needed. He says he's still waiting for that title match that he earned.

Page says this is a sob story. Ali says he won't cry for a title match, he will politic for it. He says he gets to end the curse next week as Page will defend his title against him.

Page says it's a good story but he will disappoint him. He says he won't call him on the phone to fire him but will wish him his best in his future endeavors. Ali then hits him and ends up dropkicking him out of the ring.

Thoughts:
I vaguely remember the situation Ali talked about and it's cool that they brought it up again.

Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey talk in the locker room. She gives her make-up. Jacy Jayne walks in. She says she was put in charge of Team NXT. She says she needs winners and picks Sol. Sol says she's in. Lola says if she needs to win, she has to pick her. Lola says she will put their differences aside to defend NXT. Fallon says the last spot goes to her. Lainey Reid comes in and says Jacy can't trust Lola. Jacy says it'll be Fallon vs Lola for the last spot on her team. Zaria then asks to talk to Sol privately.

The Hardy Boyz talk. They said they beat Fraxiom last time but the titles weren't on the line. They say they are this time. Matt says they don't know who of Dark State they will face but it'll be a fair 2v2 match. Matt says when it's a fair match, they are the best in the world. They say they are trying to get the tag team goats and needs to do that by winning the titles they never won - the NXT Tag Titles. Matt says they are coming to win them and it's time for the deletion of Dark State.

Winner gets to be on Team NXT - Myles Borne vs Josh Briggs

JB shoves him over. MB side headlocks him. JB shoves him and they butt heads. MB euros and backdrops him. MB sliding lariats him for 2. MB tope con hilos him outside. MB top rope crossbodies him for 2. JB throws MB's head into the buckles then stomps him. JB hits a crossface shot for 2. The crowd chants, "Briggs go away".

JB hits back elbows in the corner. MB takes a beale throw but rolls to his feet and no sells it. JB crossbodies him and chokeslams him for 2. We go to PiP break and return. MB step up enzugiri's him in the shoulder. JB spinning backbreakers him and double underhook backbreakers him for 2.

JB misses a corner splash and is hit with lariats. MB powerslams JB for 2. MB backdrops JB then jumping codebreakers him. JB facvekicks him. JB wraps his chain around his hand. He goes to use it but Matt Cardona of TNA comes out and stops him. The ref takes the chain. MB dropkicks and zigzag's him for the win.

Thoughts: The ending was out of nowhere here. What did Matt Cardona have to do with this? The match was fine otherwise. MB did his usual nice looking offense and I assume we will get a JB vs Cardona match out of this.

Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace talk in the back. JG puts her over for winning the Knockouts Title. She says it's prestigious and hopes she carries it well. JG says she can't trust Jacy and wants to be on Kelani's team. Kelani says nobody knows where JG or Joe Hendry stand because of their TNA ties. Joe appears. Mike Santana then walks in. Mike says Grace and Joe have one foot in and one foot out. Mike says he's not leaving things up to chance next week. He then says he has people for Kelani to meet - everybody.

Winner gets to be on Team NXT - Lola Vice vs Fallon Henley

Thoughts: Fallon did a nice swinging facebuster here. They did a dumb spot where Lola stood on the apron and Fallon pulled the ring skirt out causing her to fall down. The problem was, she wasn't even on the ring skirt. They then got in and Lola won with a quick uraken. It was a fast paced and shorter match and it was fine for what it was. I didn't get why Jacy just didn't choose her partner Fallon though.

Dark State does a video. Shugars says they leave to hunt. Griffin puts over The Hardy's. Cutler says what they started doesn't stop for anyone. Shugars says they have never been happy to be here or basking in the moment. Griffin says they are the moment. Griffin says they took the NXT Tag Titles and will take the TNA Tag Titles. Dion says the Dark State takeover will continue. Cutler says it's not a threat but a guarantee.

Fatal Influence talk in the back and Lainey Reid joins in. Jacy says Fallon's loss is on her for putting her in a match like that. Reid comes in and says she will do anything for her. She says she wasn't cleared but it didn't stop her from going against orders. She then shows them a mask - the one she interfered in the Speed match at the PLE with. She then says the attack on Jazmyn was free as she didn't belong in Fatal Influence.

Je'Von Evans and Leon Slater vs The Culling (Shawn Spears and Niko Vance)

Leon side headlocks Spears. Leon enzugiri's him then hits a flying corner lariat. Leon hits mounted corner punches on him. Leon leg lariats him. Leon dropkicks Niko. Evans hits punches on Niko. Evans seated springboard headscissors Niko then dropkicks him.

Leon top rope clubs Niko's arm. Niko shoulders him over. Tatum isn't paying attention outside and Izzi yells at her. Evans comes in and in spinebustered by Spears. Tatum is distracted by the doll and Izzi grabs Tatum and yells at her. Niko is sent out. Evans germans Spears. Leon's team hits stereo plancha's outside. We go to break and return.

Niko full nelson's Leon. Leon jawbreakers him. Spears slams Leon. Leon upkicks him and enzugiri's him. Leon rewind kicks Niko. Evans comes in and cleans house on the heels. Evans is whipped into the ropes and topes Spears outside. Evans springboard lariats Niko then corkscrew kicks Spears off the ropes. Evans top rope splashes Niko for 2.

Evans sunset flips Niko for 2. Evans superman forearms him. Evans handstands in the corner then is alabama slammed down for 2. Evans escapes a double suplex. Leon does his corkscrew dive over the post onto the heels. Leon blue thunders Spears for 2.

All 4 men fight. Leon jumps off the top into a Spears knee. Evans is caught on a springboard then Leon does a double lethal injection. Evans then does a double os cutter. Evans suicide dives Niko outside. Leon 450 swantons Spears and picks up the win.

Thoughts
: It was a good match as expected here. Leon and Evans brought the impressive flying and the heels did their job. This got a "this is awesome" chant and Leon showed up big in his biggest match to date.

The TNA wrestlers agree all grouped together and arrive in a parking lot with a car. The NXT wrestlers greet them out there. The two sides argue and get in each others faces. We go to a quick PiP break and return.

The TNA and NXT wrestlers are at ringside. We have a summit going on in the ring with Ava, Santino, Santana, Saints, Trick, Kelani and Jacy. Ava talks and Trick interrupts. Saints and Trick argue over who the captain is. Saints picks Evans and Borne for his team. Santana picks Frankie Kazarian, Moose and Leon Slater.

Jacy says when she was champ, she repped NXT. She says Kelani is a two-timing traitor. Jacy picks Sol Ruca, Jaida Parker and Lola Vice. Kelani picks The Iinspiration and Mara Sade (She goes to call her Jakara Jackson but stops herself).

Santana says TNA will win Showdown next week like he will bring the TNA Title home at Bound for Glory.

Everyone then fights in a massive brawl to close the show.

Shawn Michaels comes out to watch the big brawl as refs and officials try to break it up.

Thoughts: Kelani's picks are funny as everyone she picked is either in WWE or used to be in WWE. The idea of her being the flagbearer for TNA is pretty stupid.

Overall thoughts: Evans and Leon as a team was the highlight of the night along with the final segment which was fun. The wrestling was fine here and there was no lack of stars popping in from TNA. I think they did a good job in setting up Showdown next week. It's a shame they didn't have more time to hype it up, but they are only doing it because Dynamite will be on next Tuesday against Showdown. I'd give the show a 6 out of 10 total and thought it was good overall.

WWWF Championship Wrestling 9/3/1977

WWWF Championship Wrestling 9/3/1977

The next show we have is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwwf-championship-wrestling-9171977.html

Note - We only have a partial version of this.

"High Chief" Peter Maivia vs Joe Turco

Pete hip throws him off the lock up twice. Pete grabs his arm and side kicks him in the gut. Joe complains then he is taken down by the leg. Pete cartwheels off of the ropes then crossbodies him. Joe pulls the hair on a headlock but loses him. Joe tries it again and is put in a top wristlock. Pete then spanks him.

Pete double underhooks him and Joe ropebreaks. Joe complains about his tights being pulled. Joe tries punches and Pete messes around and ducks. Pete overhooks Joe's arms and punhes him in the head. Joe grabs the ref as he sells.

Joe kicks and clubs him. Pete flying headbutts him and euros him down several times. Pete splashes him and wins.

Thoughts: As always, Maivia is really unlike any other wrestler and has an Orange Cassidy vibe to him (in a good way). Joe was his foe here. Joe did a good job complaining to the ref and being a simple heel. It wasn't great or anything but both did what they were supposed to and I liked it.

Pete celebrates with a handstand in the corner after.

Chief Jay Strongbow and Haystacks Calhoun vs Jack Evans and Rocky Tamayo

HC takes a side headlock from RT. RT runs into him and goes down. RT side headlocks him again and then is hiptossed. HC hiptosses Jack. Jack ends up in the wrong corner and heads out.

HC armdrags RT with an armlock. RT eye pokes him to break it. RT eye rakes him more and elbows him. Jay gets in and he gets punched in the head. RT eye rakes Jay. Jay is thrown in the corner, he slides between Jack's legs and punches him outside.

Vince talks about the Manager of the Year voting. He says Lou Albano is catching up. He also says Roddy Piper, Oliver Humperdink and Homer O'Dell are getting some votes. RT double knuckle locks Jay. They criss-cross and Jay chops him. Jay knee lifts him and RT begs off.

Jack gets in. He punches Jay in the corner and stomps on him. Jack foot chokes him and chokes him. Jay's head is banged off the buckles. Jack elbows Jay in the head. Jay goes between his legs and tags out.

HC gets in. He clubs Jack and throws RT in. Hay throws both heels in the corner and splashes them. Jay then jumps on HC's back to splash them. Jack is chopped and gets tied up in the ropes. HC dances before he hits the tied up Jack. The heels are sent into each other and go down.

HC eye pokes RT in the corner. RT eye pokes and punches him back. Jay punches RT and kneelifts him. RT is sent into an HC shoulderblock and he goes down. Jay pins RT.

Thoughts
: It wasn't that good. Haystacks' offense looked bad he went really easy on everyone. Jay's offense wasn't much better here with some weak kneelifts.

Vince McMahon interviews The Grand Wizard. They talk about Manager of the Year voting. Wiz is in the lead and said he didn't think there were enough brilliant people in TV land who would appreciate his brilliance and genius. He says to send in more votes as he doesn't have a big enough lead. He says he wants to have more votes than all the other managers combined. He says he's the only manager to have 2 separate WWWF champs. He says to send more and more votes. He says he knows and they know he is the manager of the year, the century and the generation.

Larry Zbyszko and Tony Garea vs Pete Doherty and Johnny Rodz

JR hits Larry with his robe before it starts then hits him before it starts.

JR hits shots on the ropes and then hip throws him. JR chinlocks him. JE chinlocks him and grabs the tights. Larry armdrags him over. JR knees him in the head and Larry back body drops him.

Tony gets in hits shots on JR. JR is thrown into the corner and goes up and over. JR runs the ropes to evade the faces and runs into a chest club from Larry. Tony armlocks JR. Pete breaks it up. JR hits punches on Tony then Pete hits punches on Tony. Pete bends over and is kicked.

Larry knees Pete in the gut. Pete takes a back body drop then Larry delay suplexes Pete for the win. Tony then chases JR to the back.

Thoughts
: It was a short and entertaining squash. Pete took nice comedic types of bumps and Rodz was amazing as usual in trying to run away from the faces. I used to watch the 80's house shows and not really get why Pete and Rodz were on them so much but then you see this show and it becomes clear that these guys were really talented.

Vince McMahon interviews Tony Garea and Larry Zbyszko after. He says they will face Fuji and Tanaka for the tag titles. Tony says they are ready and says they have a good chance of pulling this off.

Overall thoughts: Only 3 matches from this show exist, sadly. Maivia/Turco was a decent squash with Maivia being entertaining. Haystacks Calhoun and Strowbow did not impress in their squash. Pete Doherty and Rodz were great jobbers in their tag match and helped create an entertaining squash. The Grand Wizard also did a fun interview. There wasn't much here, but I liked what we got.
