Special Rules - Hanako Nakamori vs Aiger

Aiger screams at her then runs then Hana screams as she gets close to her. Aiger runs at her and ends up running into the corner, then flops backwards. Aiger falls down again and Hana boots her. Aiger gets behind her and puts her arms on her shoulders. Hana drops down and kicks her then Aiger screams at her and hits a ddt. Aiger slides at her and screams and Hana grab the ropes.

Hana hits leg kicks and high kicks her. Hana puts a chain around Aigers neck and hits kicks. Hana hits her on the apron and keeps her on the apron with the chain for more punishment. Aiger lariats her and goes up top. Aiger is kind of in reverse tree of woe then Hana pulls her down. Hana hits a shining wizard for 2.

Hana high kicks Aiger and misses a destiny hammer up top. Aiger chokeslams her then hits a running lariat. Hana rolls her up then kicks her in the face. Hana rolls her up again and wins it.

I have no idea what this was. There were some special rules here so cheating was allowed. Aiger's a goofy horror character and played that up most of the match. This was short and they goofed around for most of this.

Chie Ozora leashes her after and pulls her to the back.

5 Woman Battle Royal - Leon vs Rydeen Hagane vs Momo Tani vs AKARI vs Crea

They try to negotiate teams then everyone decides to beat up on Leon. Leon is tripped into an elbow drop nad a basement dropkick. Momo Tani bulldogs Crea then Akari is put on top of Crea. Momo then kneels on both. Momo tries to do her taunt and Leon breaks it up.

Leon stunners Rydeen then hits a double spear on Rydeen and Momo, then on Crea and Akari. Leon goes up top and gets caught. Rydeen throws her down. Crea and Akari hit double attacks on Rydeen then Leon. We then get a 4 girl headscissors and Rydeen rolls them all over into a crab.

Rydeen single leg crabs Akari. Crea does an abdominal stretch on Rydee, then Momo sleeprs Crea. Leon then camel clutches Akari in a 5 girl submission. Momo hits knees on Leon then takes a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Leon racks Momo over her back. Rydeen tries to break it up but can't then rolls up Leon. All 4 girls pin Leon and eliminate her.

Akari ends up in the middle of 3 girls. She drops down to try and get them to do something and they all try to pin her. Rydeen then volunteers to drop down. Everyone tries to pin her and she kicks out. Rydeen then shoulders over AKARI and Crea. Rydeen teases doing a shoulder on Momo but doesn't. Momo hugs her and tries to make friends.

Crea escapes a 2v1 with a facekick on Momo. Rydeen double suplexes Crea and Akari. Crea pushes Rydeen into Momo then Akari and Crea pin Rydeen together and eliminate her. Momo is left in there with Akari and Crea. Momo takes a double kick then corner attacks. Momo crossbodies both but is caught and slammed. Akari 619's her then Crea holds her up for an Akari bulldog. Crea goes for the pin and Akari breaks it up for some reason.

Akari apologizes to Crea and they argue some. Momo is whipped into the ropes and hits a double codebreaker and double meteora. Crea facekicks Akari then Akari double chops her. They push each other and Momo gets nailed by both when she interrupts it. Akari lariats Crea then Momo and Akari pin Crea.

Momo hits a Danno O'Mahoney roll on Akari and they both try pin attempts. Akari puts her in la magistral then rolls her up with a bridge for 2. Akari then rolls her up and pins her.

It was a fun little battle royale with alliances forming and breaking. The action was fast paced and we got some creative multi-person spots.

Ayako Sato and Hanako Nakamori vs Chie Ozora and Madeline

Maddy = Madeline

Everyone shakes hands to start. Hana's team is wearing matching gear. Chie dropkicks Hana who no sells it. Hana running boots her. Chie is thrown into the buckles but comes back out with a dropkick. Maddy gets in and double trips Hana with Chie into a double basement dropkick. Maddy kicks Hana in the back while sheis down then lets Hana kick her in the back. Hana then lets her get another kick in and Maddy takes another kick.

Hana tries to walk up the buckles but Maddy pulls her down. Maddy and Chie walk the top rope and drop down with bad armdrags. Hana hits a running lariat on Maddy then Sato hair throws Maddy. Maddy and Chie dropkick Sato then Sato slams Chie. Sato crabs Chie then Hana stomps Chie's fingers while she's in it. Chie is put in a camel clutch then kicked by Hana at 5 minutes.

Chie is tied up in the ropes then Hana kicks her in the butt. Chie mongolian chops Hana. Hana slams Chie and legdrops her for 2. Sato double underhook suplexes Chie for 2 then release northern suplexes her. Chie rolls up Sato for 2 then basment dropkicks her. Sato misses a kick on the rope and is dropkicked in the leg. Sato dropkicks Chie. Chie takes a double boot then hits a double springboard armdrag.

Maddy gets in and casadora's Sato into a headlock takeover. Sato jumping knees Maddy then fisherman suplexes her for 2. Hana spinning heel kicks Maddy and then kicks her hard in the butt. They trade leg kicks at 10 minutes. Hana strike combos her then is dropped with a chest kick. Hana takes a double suplex then Maddy does a jumping split onto her. Maddy fameassers Hana.

Chie springboard dropkicks Hana then top rope shoulders her for 2. Chie rolls up Hana into a double stomp then Chie takes double 2nd rope dropkicks. Maddy top rope double crossbodies both opponents then Chie fisherman suplexes Hana for 2. Chie sunset flips Hana for 2. Sato accidentally nails her own partner in the head with a cookie sheet.

Chie hits chest forearms on Hana then starts slapping her. Chie step up enzugiri's her then Hana kicks her in the face for 2. Chie takes a double backdrop. Hana shining kicks Chie for 2 then falcon arrows her for the win.

It was a decent main but nothing too special. It got probably too much time at 15:19. They kept the pace on this one fast.

Overall thoughts: The main was okay, but a little long. The battle royale was fun and had some story and multi-person spots. Hanako vs Aiger was silly and short. I wouldn't recommend it, but there's worse Pure-J dojo shows out there.

Momo Tani vs AKARI

Momo running knees her early then they trade armdrags. Akari basement dropkicks her then armthrows her into a rings of saturn variation. Momo bulldogs her and drops double knees on her back. Momo does hair throws then strangleholds her. She then knees her as she is tied up in the ropes.

Akari trips her then slams and elbow drops her. Akari strangleholds her over the top rope then misses a 2nd rope dropkick. Momo octopus stretches her then hits some chest forearms. Akari then rolls her up into a leg clutch. Momo comes back with a guillotine clutch. Momo meteora's her then vader bomb style knee drops her for 2. Akari comes back with kicks then 619's her. Akari nothern lights suplexes her for 2.

Momo hits with a backcracker then hurricanrana's her for 2. Momo puts her in an STF variation. Momo misses a meteora then Akari rolls her up for the win.

This wasn't anything too special and it didn't have a great story or anything. They did their usual moves here and kept up a good pace, but there wasn't much else to it.

Leon vs KAZUKI

Kaz is dressed up as Leon for some reason. Kaz rolls into a reverse armbar then Leon rolls, kips up and takes her down. Leon 2nd rope springboard armdrags her and Kaz tries the same but is caught in the 2nd rope and spanked. Leon flying double chops her. Leon ties her up in the ropes and chops her then Kaz atomic drops her and double chips her back. Kaz ties her up in the ropes and chops her.

Leon ankle locks her and slams her then flipping sentons her. Leon pulls her arms back and stretches her then Kaz slams her and rolls onto her. They trade chops and Kaz running knees her. Kaz puts her on the middle rope and kneels on her then Leon puts her on the middle rope and  and kneels on her. She then knee presses her down and corner spears her.

Leon back body drops her then Kaz stretches her across her back. Kaz does Leon's pose then Leon comes back with a double stomp. Leon spears Kaz then running facekicks her. Leon 619's her then top rope dropkicks her. Kaz TKO's her for 2 then Kaz top rope kneedrops her for 2. They each roll each other up and Kaz fails at doing Leon's spinning heel kicks. Leon then rolls her up and wins it.

It's hard to know what to make of this since it was mostly comedy with Kaz copying Leon and doing all of her moves.

Hanako Nakamori vs Crea vs Rydeen Hagane

They all lock up at the same time then Rydeen does a rare double irish whip with each opponent on an arm. Rydeen splashes Hana in the corner and is dropkicked into her by Crea. Hana runs up the ropes with Crea's arm then comes down for an armdrag + a headscissors takedown on Rydeen. Rydeen is tied up in the ropes and takes chops from both.

Crea and Hana double suplex Rydeen then Crea running booths Rydeen. Hana camel clutches Rydeen then Crea runs the ropes endlessly and decides to kick Hana in the back. Crea has Rydeen in an indian deathlock then Hana abdominal stretches Crea then kicks her over.

Crea flying armbars Hana then Hana stretch mufflers her. Rydeen racks and drops Hana then slams Crea onto her. Rydeen then splashes both and backdrops both. Rydeen goes over the top and is double kicked then Hana facekicks Crea through the ropes. Crea facekicks her for 2 then grounded sleepers her until Rydeen breaks it up. Rydeen spin kicks Crea then Hana shining wizards Rydeen for 2.

Hana combos Rydeen then head kicks her. Crea thrust kicks Hana then Hana rolls up Crea and Rydeen at the same time for 2. Crea germans Rydeen then Hana high kicks Crea. Rydeen lariats Hana and Crea. Rydeen top rope moonsaults Hana and Crea breaks it for 2. Rydeen then la magistral's both opponents at the same time and wins it.

It's a three way and there's only so much you can do with those. They had some clever spots, didn't overdo it and it was 8 minutes of fun.

Overall thoughts: We had three matches without a lot of build or story to them. I guess it was okay for what it was, but nothing must see.

Crea and AKARI vs Rydeen Hagane and Momo Tani

Momo side headlocks her then Akari shoulders her over. Momo shoulder throws her then Akari armdrags her from the back and dropkicks her. Akari fujiwara's Momo and it is broken up then Momo drops double knees on her. Momo sits on Akari's back and pulls Akari's own arm over Akari's face. Momo then takes jumping knees in the corner.

Crea indian deathlocks Momo then hair throws her. Crea stomps on her then Rydeen gets in and beats up on both opponents. Rydeen slams Crea on Akari then splashes both. Crea double chops Momo. Momo comes back with a double knee drop on her back then octopus stretches her. Akari strangleholds Momo over the top rope.

Rydeen pops up Momo into a double foot stomp on Akari then Momo drops double knees on Akari vader bomb style. Rydeen lariats Akari in the corner. Rydeen misses a vader bomb on Akari then Akari comes back with kicks and a northern lights suplex for 2. Crea gets in and facekicks Rydeen then fujiwara armbars her. Rydee hits a lazy and bad spinning heel kick then Crea hits a stiff spinning superkick. Momo brekas up the pin then Rydeen double back drops both opponents.

Mom double knee drops Crea from the 2nd rope. They trade facekicks and Crea dragon sleepers her. Crea grounds her with it. All 4 girls get in the ring and Momo meteora's Crea through the ropes then Akari 619's Momo. Crea lifts up Momo for a bulldog and Rydeen breaks the pin attempt. Akari rolls up Rydeen then Rydeen puts her in la magistral for 1. The time limit then expires.

This went too long and really wasn't anything special.

Chie Oozora vs Hanako Nakamori

Chie hits a dropkick and armdrag early then gets armdragged. Chie bridges and Hana climbs on top of her bridge and kicks her leg out. Hana hair throws her then Chie hits more dropkicks. Chie goes up top and Hana goes to ipponzei her but Chie walks the top rope with her arm and armdrags her.

Chie dropkicks Hana as she is in the ropes. then double stomps her back and gut. Hana ties Chie up in the ropes and hits kicks on her. Hana camel clutches Chie and misses a top rope dropkick. Chie top rope dropkicks her then Hana hits kicks. Chie rolls her into an ankle lock. Hana perfectplexes her then Chie perfectplexes her.

Chie sunset flips her and they trade pin attempts. Hana eventually succeeds at one and wins it.

This was short and Chie got more in than usual, but there was no way she was losing here and I think everyone knew that.

Leon vs KAZUKI

Command Bolshoi is the special ref here.

They go to the mat then Leon grabs a hammerlock. Leon 2nd rope armdrags her then dropkicks her. Leon forearms her chest then Kaz knees her in the gut. Leon is put over the 2nd rope and Kaz tries to drop knees down on her but she won't budge. Leon makes her hand from the top rope and she pulls on her leg as she hangs. Leon bangs Kaz's knee off the mat.

Leon takes Kaz's kneepad off. Kaz pushes Leon's face into her knee then Bolshoi throws Leon into Kaz for some reason. Kaz does her taunt and Bolshoi whips Leon into Kaz. Bolshoi then puts Leon in a hold and Leon puts Bolshoi in a hold which Kaz makes her break. Kaz knees both in the corner then Bolshoi rolls her with a leglock. Leon corner spears Kaz and misses a second one, then gets rolled into a triangle. Leon leglocks her and Kaz forces her to break by grabbing her arm. Kaz chinlocks her and vader bomb style drops double knees on her. Leon rolls Kaz into a leglock and a reverse figure four and wins via submission.

I wasn't a fan of this one. Bolshoi got involved as the ref and this lost any credibility it had.

Overall thoughts: Not one of Pure-J's better shows. Skip it.

AKARI vs Chie Ozora

They both roll and get wristlocks, then stand off. chie armdrags her then gets armdragged. Akari armdrags her again and shotgun dropkicks her. Chie is rebounded off the the ropes by Akari then boston crabbed. Akari switches to a single leg crab then hair throws her. Chie rolls her up for 2 and dropkicks her.

Chie double reverse armbars her between the ropes and dropkicks her while in there. Akari elbow drops her and his some shoulder throws into an armbar. Akari puts her in another double reverse armbar and grabs her leg with it too. Akari strangleholds her as she sits on the top rope then does something like a reverse spider in the ropes on her.

Chie runs up the ropes and walks them then armdrags her and dropkicks her. They trade chest forearms then Chie dropkicks her. Chie rolls in with another dropkick then armbars her. Chie then puts her in cattle mutilation and gets pumpkicked. Akari 619's her then northern lighs suplexes her for 2. Chie is popped up and rolls into an ankle lock and then some leg locks.

Chie ddt's Akari then spinning ddt's her for 2. Chie then fisherman suplexes her for 2. Akari rolls her into a pin attempt for 2 then they both roll each other up. Akari then rolls her up again and wins it.

It wasn't a classic or anything and they didn't have a great story but it was just two people doing believeable wrestling at a fast pace. I thought it was a fun opener.

Momo Tani vs Rydeen Hagane

They test of strength to start and Momo i thrown off then shouldered. Rydeen gorilla presses her but Momo ges out and trips her into a dropkick on the back. Momo foot chokes her then Rydeen boston crabs her. Rydeen slams her then splashes her. Momo then trips her and drops double knees on her back several times.

Momo tries to do her taunt on her back but Rydeen gets up. Rydeen lariats her in the corner then Momo sleepers her from the apron. Rydeen drags her in with her on her back and Momo rolls her up for 1. Momo double knees her as she is over the middle rope then knee drops her.

Momo octopus stretches her and is thrown off. Momo tries some chest forearms then Rydeen spinning backbreakers her. Rydeen splashes her against the ropes and runs Momo over with a body block. Momo tornado ddt's her for 2 then 2nd rope knees her for 2. Momo misses a meteroa and is superkicked in the back then splashed and spinning heel kicked for 2. Rydeen then vader bombs her for 2.

Momo rolls her up for another 2 then Momo codebreakers her. Momo meteora's her for 2. then Rydeen lariats her for 2. Rydeen hits another lariat and wins it.

This was a nice big girl vs little girl match with Rydeen not getting affected much by Momo's shots before putting her down. Momo hit some nice stiff forearms here.

Special Rules Match - Leon vs KAZUKI

They have brushes they can use on each other and two circles on the mat that they can only touch 3 times before losing. Kaz's brushes are on her knee pads. Leon misses brush shots early and gets Kaz in the leg, leading her to touching one of the circles. They both try to push each other on them then Kaz goes down again on a circle. Leon hits her with a brush and they have to hop over the brushes on irish whips. Leon spears her in the corner then touches a circle on the rebound. Kaz goes to pose then gets brushes to the leg and Kaz running meteora's her in the corner.

Kaz vader bomb style kneedrops her for 2. Kaz hits knees to the gut and codebreakers her. Leon gets extra pain due to the brushes on the kneepads. Kaz takes the pads off for some reason after and Leon tries to flip her on a circle. Leon ties her up in the ropes and uses the brush on part of her stomach then Leon spears her against the ropes. Leon misses a spin kick and Kaz tries to roll her up. Leon then rolls her up and trips over back onto a circle.

Kaz tries to catapult Leon over a circle and she lands on it with her knee but that wasn't supposed to happen and everyone is confused. The match continues anyway and Leon tries to spear her onto a circle but ends up on it herself and loses.

The finish was bogus here. Leon touched the circle early and the match should have stopped. They were all totally confused and made it clear that Leon basically lost, but refused to stop the match anyway. Look, if you're going to have stupid rules, at least follow them. 

Hanako Nakamori vs Crea

Crea attacks her at the bell and forearm flurries her. Crea hits another forearm flurry then is chest kicked. She fires up and chest and face kicks her back. Crea chest kicks her against the ropes then chokes her with her inner leg while she is in the ropes.

Hana spin kicks her in the gut then PK's her in the chest. Hana hits a spinning heel kick in the corner then takes a chop flurry. Crea then does a stiff chest kick into the buckles. They trade chops and kicks with Hana hitting some real stiff leg kicks. Hana leg drops her over the 2nd rope then top rope dropkicks her. Hana does some stiff kicks to the head then Crea gives her a stiff face kick.

Crea blocks a high kick then is put in a sleeper but gets out and dragon sleepers Hana. Crea facekicks her through the ropes then dragon sleepers her from the top rope. Crea 180 rotation splashes her from the top. Hana legbars her then hits a stiff facekick. Hana kick combos her then Crea dragon screws her. Crea germans her for 2. Crea does roll-ups after taking a stunner then Hana hits a stiff high kick.

Hana then running facekicks her and is rolled up. Hana then high kicks her for 2. Hana then top rope kneedrops her on her neck for 2 and wins it.

This was a very stiff match and is exactly what you would want out of these two. There wasn't a real story to it, but they beat the crap out of each other and I liked it.

Overall thoughts: The Kazuki/Leon match was a total disaster but the rest of the show was good and the main was really good.

I skipped the Kazuki/Yoneyama match as it sounded like comedy.

 

Chie Ozora vs Momo Tani

Chie throws her into the buckles off a handshake then pounds on her chest with forearms. Momo hits a flying knee, bulldogs her then drops double knees on her back. Chie bridges out of the pin and dropkicks her. Chie walks the top rope with Momo's arm then armdrags her down. Momo strangleholds Chie between the ropes then double knees her and kneels on her while she is stuck there. Momo then does her taunt up there.

Momo double knee drops her. Chie rolls up Momo and dropkicks her then is side thrown. Momo crabs her then bulldog headlocks her. Momo stays in control and stomps her down in the corner then sleepers her. She switches over to the body scissors and rolls her over for 2. Chie dropkicks Momo and ties her leg around the middle rope. Chie then dropkicks it. She goes for a legbar but Momo rolls out and kneedrops her then puts her in the octopus stretch. Chie comes back with a flying shoulder.

They trade chest forearms then they trade ddt's without selling them. Momo codebreakers her and meteora's her through the ropes. Momo then top rope knees her and takes a fisherman's suplex for 2. Momo hits an O'Mahoney back roll for 2 and they trade pinfall attempts. Each roll out of the attempts then Momo pins her to win it.

It was fast paced and it was a decent opener.

Kakeru Sekiguchi vs AKARI

Akari armdrags her early then armdrags her from behind the back. Akari shoulder throws her then Kak shoulder throws her. Akari goes up and over her in the corner and dropkicks her. Kak then crossbodies her off the 2nd rope and camel clutches her. Kak ties her up in the ropes and dropkciks her. Akari stranglehold chokes her off the top rope then 2nd rope dropkicks her.

They trade forearms then Kak top rope dropkicks her. They trade a lariat for a dropkick and Kak goes for a fujiwara armbar but Akari ropebreaks. Akari hits a 619 then top rope dropkicks her. Akari then lariats her and Kak STO's her. Akari hits a suplex and they trade forearms on their knees. Akari kick combos her for 2 then Kak comes back with the fujiwara armbar.

Kak has her bodyscissored and is suplexed over top by her, then Kak taps her out with the armbar.

The finish was kind of out of nowhere, but I thought it was decent with Kak working the arm before getting the pin. The two worked well together and Kak really fits well in Pure-J.

Crea and Rydeen Hagane vs Yuu and Cherry

Yuu and Rydeen shoulder battle early then Yuu shoulders her over. Rydeen dropkicks her and both tag out. Cherry wristlocks Crea then Crea kicks her in the chest. Crea ties her up in the ropes and dropkicks her. Cherry back rolls and slams her knee into the mat but does a poor jo of it then Yuu lifts up Cherry for a double boot on Crea. Cherry then climbs Yuu's back and they drop down on Crea then Yuu stands on Crea with Cherry on her back. Yuu splashes Crea in the corner then rolls her into an armbar. Yuu then sentons Crea's arm.

Cherry threw Crea by the hair then Cherry octopus stretches Crea. Cherry guillotine chokes Crea then Crea ropebreaks. Crea northern lights suplexes Cherry. Rydeen gets in and gorilla presses Cherry into Yuu then lariats both at the same time. She then lariats Cherry for 2 and Cherry step up armbars Rydeen. Crea and Rydeen try to double team Cherry. Cherry pulls Crea on top of Rydeen then double stomps them in the pile.

Yuu is called in and Cherry pulls Yuu down on Rydeen then double knee drops her back onto Rydneen, which didn't make any sense. Yuu side slams Rydeen and then Rydeen samoan drops her. Rydeen then vader bombs her for two. Rydeen hits a nice spinning heel kick then Rydee and Yuu trade chops for forearms. Yuu crossbodies a sitting Rydeen. They two bump bodies then Rydeen lariats her for 2.

Crea top rope dropkicks Yuu then Yuu hits chops. Crea goes for a fujiwara armbar. Cherry throws Crea off the top then Yuu sentons Crea for 2. Crea and Rydeen double shoulder Yuu then Yuu corssbodies both at the same time. Rydeen and Crea hit high kicks on Yuu then Crea hits an impressive wrist clutch northern lights suplex for 2. Crea top rope 180 splashes Yuu for 2.

Cherry double backchops both opponents then Yuu backsplashes Crea. Yuu then cannonballs Crea in the corner. Yuu then second rope splashes Crea and wins it.

This was a fun match. The Rydeen and Yuu segments were very good and Cherry brought some interesting offense to the table here. Yuu really came across well here and was really highlighted.

Pure-J Openweight Title - Hanako Nakamori (c) vs Leon

Hanas slaps a side headlock on early and they evade some moves. Hana drops down and Leon blocks her kick then Hana flatliners her and PK's her. Hana ties her up in the ropes and kicks her then Leon slams and double stomps her. Leon sleepers her and Hana ropebreaks then Leon lawn dart spears her in the corner. Leon tries for it again and Hana moves.

They trade forearms for kicks then Hana fishermans suplexes her. Hana then running facekicks her and legdrops her. Hana goes to work on the arm then Leon tilt-a-whirl backbreakers her. Hana ties her up with a grounded octopus. Hana hits kicks on the arm. Leon tries to spear her while she's on the apron and misses, then takes a leg drop over the middle rope. Leon ten spears her on the apron and spears her against the ropes.

Hana fights out of a leg lock then Leon puts it on again. Leon then ankle locks her and wraps her ankle around the middle rope. Hana superplexes her then hits a shining wizard. Hana kneelifts her then hits her with a knee off the top. Leon spinning rack slams her for 2.

Leon hits a knee then takes a headbutt. Leon then rolls her with an unusual ankle lock. Leon dropkicks her in the knee and they go up top. Leon then spears her from the tree of woe position. Leon top rope frogsplashes her. Leon spears Hana then Hana step up enzugiri's her. They trade forearms on their knees then hit forearms at the same time. They then slap each other at the same time and Hana buzzsaw kicked her. Hana then falcon arrows her for 2.

Leon hits a spinning high kick then twisting fisherman's busters her for 2. They roll each other up and Hanas counters Leon's spear with a kick. Hana then hits a shining wizard with the knee to win it.

The first 2/3rd's of this were smart, logical wrestling, then they gave it up to trade moves at the end that had nothing to do with the rest of the match.

Overall thoughts: They were on the right path in the main event but went off road and the semi-main tag match was good. I also liked the the other two matches so it was a good Pure-J show.

Chie Ozora vs Cherry

Chie barely gets a handshake from Cherry. Chie rolls out of a wristlock and really wrings her arm around. She tries to walk the ropes but Cherry shakes them. Chie hits a nice dropkick on her then Chie walks the top rope and armdrags her. Cherry then is tied up in the ropes and dropkicked for 2.

Chie slams her down and Cherry pulls her down. Cherry the hits mounted punches and bangs Chie's head off the mat. Cherry then ties her up in the ropes and does a back to back submission where she pulls her ears with her legs tied up. Chie then armbars her over the top rope.

Chie 2nd rope dropkicks her then puts her in cattle mutilation. Cherry comes back and steps up on her knee with an armbar into a triangle. Cherry then ties up both of her arms and pulls back with Chie's chest on the mat. Chie then ropebreaks and Cherry northern lights suplexes her while holding the arm. cherry armbars her. Chie headflips out of it and then does a nice reverse figure four out of it.

Chie fisherman's suplexes her for 2 then Cherry ankle locks her. Cherry spins her into a submission choke with the inside of her leg and wins it.

The finish didn't really fit all of Cherry's focus on the arm here. They traded a lot of holds during this one.

KAZUKI vs AKARI

Akari hits her from behind early then Kaz runs at her with a knee. Akari then runs at her with back elbows. and double reverse armbars her. Akari basement dropkicks her then Kaz comes back with a slam. Kaz stf's her then puts her in the camel clutch. Kaz lets go and hair throws her then sleepers her. Akari ropebreaks then Kaz stretches her arms.

Akari triangles her then strangles off the top rope. Kaz flips her to get out of the hold then Akari rolling kneebars her. Akari misses a 619 then knees her in the gut. Kaz then knees her through the ropes.

Kaz pyramid drivers her for 2 and stands on the 2nd rope, where Akari 619's her. Kaz hits a stiff knee to the gut then Akari goes another knee bar. Akari suplexes her for 2 then Kaz comes back with a backdrop and a double knee drop. Kaz misses a knee drop then Akari kick combos her but is caught with another backdrop.

Akari trips and rolls up Kaz and they trade pin attempts. Akari follows it up with a spinning lariat for 2 and Kaz hits a big knee to the face. Kaz then running meteora's her for 2. Kaz hits a TKO for another close 2. Kaz goes up top and drops double knees to get the win.

I thought it was okay with Kaz hitting various knee attacks. They kept it moving here as well.

Momo Tani and Leon vs Rydeen Hagane and SAKI

Matches like this are the problem with Pure-J's roster. Rydeen and Momo had been teaming up, now they aren't and are opposing each other. Momo and Leon attack off handshakes. Rydeen takes a running knee in the corner hten runs over Momo. Momo escapes a 2v1 then dogpiles Rydeen and Saki on each other. Momo then kneels on them and does her taunt.

Leon hits a flurry of chops on Rydeen. Rydeen then impressively gorilla presses and slams Leon down. Saki pulls both of Leon's arms back and surfboards her then rolls her up for 2. Leon slams and flipping sentons Saki. Momo gets in and hits arm throws on Saki then Saki atomic drops and facekicks her.

Rydeen is tagged in and splashes Momo in the corner then spinning heel kicks her. Momo and Leon then put their opponents in submissions at the same time. Momo does a nice tornado ddt on Rydeen then 2nd rope knees her. Leon spears Rydeen in the corner then top rope dropkicks her. She then runs up the ropes to bulldog her. Rydeen then backbreakers Leon.

Rydeen splashes Leon against the ropes and superkicks her in the chest. Rydeen then side throws her. Saki suplexes Leon then Leon tilt-a-whirl slams her. Saki kicks her in the face then takes a side spear.

Momo hits Saki with knees and twisting knee drops her off the 2nd rope. Saki facekicks Momo then sliding knees her for 2. Leon spears Saki and Momo meteoras her for 2. Rydeen lariats both opponents in the back of the neck then Saki and Rydeen hit stereo vader bombs. Saki rolls Momo into a crossface but leon breaks it up. Momo hurricanrana's Saki for 2 then Saki abdominal stretch slams Momo and wins it.

I wasn't a big fan of this. It went on too long and there wasn't a lot of purpose for a lot of stuff they did. They also undersold most of the offense.

Crea vs Madeline

Maddy has some new gear to make her look like a kickboxer and she's moving like one. Crea sleepers her on the mat and they trade holds on the mat. Crea lifts her and gets armdragged and dropkicked multiple times. Maddy ties her up in the ropes and kicks her then does a handstand double knee drop. Crea shoulders over Maddy then bangs her head hard off the mat. Crea then indian deathlocks her and bow and arrows her.

Crea boots her in the corner then Maddy comes back with a cartwheel back elbow. Crea hits a hard chop then takes a kick to the butt. Maddy hits more kicks then takes a chop flurry. Crea misses a top rope dropkick then takes a 2nd rope crossbody. Crea catches a kick then is rolled up into an ankle lock and has to ropebreak.

Maddy back body drops her then Crea dragon sleepers her. Crea hits a northern lights bomb for 2. Maddy rolls her up for 2. Maddy then jumping legdrops her for 2. Maddy hits a nice chest kick and drops her for 2. Crea hits a nice superkick for 2 then does a very nice german for the win.

It wasn't that great, but they were stiff with each other, Maddy did good as a serious wrestler and the finish was nice and I did like it.

Daily Sports Tag Team Title Match - Arisa Nakajima & Hanako Nakamori (c) vs Kakeru Sekiguchi & Kaori Yoneyama

Kak forearm flurries Hana against the ropes then takes kicks. Hana face kicks her then Kak 2nd rope dropkicks her. Kak and Yone double armbar Hana and pose then Hana lariats both. Arisa comes in and stomps and kicks Kak against the bottom rope. Kak fights back with forearms but is dropped with just one. Arisa gets side thrown by her then Arisa facekicks her through the ropes and slingblades her. Arisa pulls Yone in by the hair then takes weak mongolian chops and drops her with a nice forearm.

Hana hits kicks on Yone's back. Yone tries to crossbody her, gets stuck then Kak dropkicks her over. Yone gets put between the ropes and Hana/Arisa put their feet on her head. Hana then crabs her and Kak breaks it up with forearms. Arisa snapmares Yone then stretch mufflers her but Yone ropebreaks. Yone avoids a double facekick then walks up the ropes and flips off of it to armdrag both opponents.

Kak gets in and flying dropkicks Arisa. Kak then does an armhold on her while sitting up top then dropkicks her off the top. Arisa facekicks Kak then double underhook slams her and spinkicks her to the face. Yone gets in and hits a nice flying knee to the back of Arisa's head. Yone steps on her foot then Arisa rolls her into a moss covered 3 handed family gradunza. Kak flying bulldogs Arisa and Arisa drops both opponents with forearms.

Arisa top rope dropkicks Yone. Hana strike combos Yone. Yone tries to german Hana but can't and Kak runs at her to try and help but lariats her own partner. Arisa then crossbodies Kak off the top. Hana facekicks Yone then high kicks her. Kak jumps off of Yone's back and dropkicks Hana then top rope dropkicks Hana. Kak then does it again. Hana headbutts Kak then Kak rolling armbars her.

Kaka double codebreakers both opponents then Yone sentons both. Yone 2nd rope sentons Hana then throws Kak over to top rope flip on Hana. Hana superplexes Kak then Arisa top rope double stomps Kak. Hana then perfect plexes Kak for 2 and hining wizards her. Kak hits a nice dropkick on Arisa then rolls up Hana for 2. Kak STO's Hana then Hana accidentally high kicks Arisa. Arisa slaps her back and both double drop Kak on her chest. Hana falcon arrows Kak for 2 then Arisa forearms Hana on accident. Arisa forearms Yone as Kak is on Hana. Yone goes into Kak and Kak rolls up Hana for the surprise win!

This was strong main event and pretty good stuff. They definitely worked the underdogs vs favorites storyline here and I really did like the slip on a banana peel surprise victory. The faces were likeable and the champs were stiff with them and it lead to a good match. Add in a fast pace, a crowd that was into it and some stiff action and this was good Pure-J wrestling.

Arisa storms off after then Hana beats up Kak and Yone for winning. SAKI and Rydeen Hagane then seemingly make a challenge after for the tag belts.

Overall thoughts: Pretty much a one match show for me with the main being really good and the other stuff not being anything too special. The main was one of the better joshi matches of the year so far and is worth seeing.

Submission Rules - Chie Ozora vs KAZUKI

They do some mat wrestling to start with Kaz riding her. Kaz then goes for an armbar. Chie ankle locks her and Kaz gets out. Chie hanging armbars her over the top rope then ties her leg up in it. Chie then puts her in another ankle lock and works on the leg.

Kaz rolls her into a hammerlock and Chie ropebreaks. Kaz armbars her but Chie flips out of it. Kaz hits a knee to the gut but Chie takes the leg then Kaz does a nice backroll into an scissored armbar. Kaz taps her out with it and wins.

Nothing wrong with this at all. It was a short and simple submissions matc that made sense.

Pool Toys Match - AKARI vs Rydeen Hagane\

Both girls are wearing shirts and shorts and came out with pool toys.

The toys are in the middle of the ring and both rush to get them. Akari hits her with a toy mallet and Rydeen yells at her. Akari then whips her with a stick and takes a stranglehold with it in the corner. Akari then drops down and armdrags her into an armbar. Rydeen grabs a floatie and hits her with it to get out then spinning side slams her.

Rydeen hangs her up in the corner and Akari beats her off with a stick and a floatie. Akari squirts her with a water gun then Rydeen lariats her. Akari 619's a floatie into her head then tries some roll-up's. Akari lariats her for 2.

They lariat battle and Rydeen hits her with a stick. Rydeen then rolls her up and wins it.

This was short but entertaining with all the pool toys. Something different and they didn't go too much into the comedy thankfully.

 

Momo Tani and Hanako Nakamori vs Leon and Crea

Momo hits dropkicks on Crea early and is shouldered over. Leon goes for a slam on Momo but is rolled up. Hana hits strikes on Leon then Leon trips her and double stomps her. They trade forearms for kicks and Hana flatliners her. Leon then takes a double boot and dropkick. Momo grounded sleepers Leon and rolls her up for 2.

Leon lawndart spears Momo in the corner then Momo takes a double team sequence from Leon and Crea that ends in a bulldog. Crea then crabs Momo. Momo side throwns Crea then octopus stretches her. Hana gets in and legdrops Crea. Hana knee chokes her in the corner then takes a big boot.

Crea hits her with a machine gun chops and Momo comes back with kicks. Crea catches on and ankle locks her and Hana lariats and facekicks her for 2. Momo gets in and hits some knees to Crea's back on the ropes then Momo flying knees her. Crea throws Momo from the 2nd rope and hits a nice facekick. Crea hits more facekicks and Momo fights back with forearms. Crea then hits another facekick for 2.

Crea really pulls on an armbar on Momo which gets broken up. Crea then facekicks her through the ropes. Leon gets in and backbreakers Momo over her back but Hana breaks it. Leon then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Momo and puts a texas cloverleaf on her. Leon goes for a spear in the corner on Momo but goes into the ropes. Momo then double knee drops her off the 2nd rope for 2. Leon goes for a powerbomb but Momo turns it into a codebreaker in a nice counter then suplexes her for 2. Momo hits a knee dropoff the 2nd rope for 2.

Hana gets in and suplexes Leon then shining wizards her for 2. Hana gets facekicked by Crea and Momo double bulldogs her opponents. Leon double spears her opponents. Hana then takes a northern lights suplex into a top rope frogsplash for 2. Leon spin kicks Hana twice and Hana ducks her spear then side kicks her. Hana high kicks Leon for 2. They trade pin attempts and Leon finally hooks her to win it.

It was the usual decent Pure-J main event. There wasn't anything super special about it and it wasn't too different from what we usually see. It could have been better with a story of some sort and was mostly just action.

Leon stares down Momo after.

Overall thoughts: All 3 matches were fine, but I wouldn't call it must see.

Three, Two, One Count Rules match Hanako Nakamori vs Rydeen Hagane

Here is the translation for the rules, "First 5 minutes are normal rule, 5-10 minutes change to normal rule + 2 countdown. 10 to 15 minutes is a normal rule + a special rule."

Hana kicks her against the ropes early then spin kicks her. Rydeen blocks a kick and corner splashes her. Hana then comes back with a facekick. Hana ties her up in the ropes and kicks her. Rydeen then slams and splashes her. Rydeen racks her and lets her off then splashes her against the ropes for 2.

Hana ropebreaks off a bodyscissors then ddt's and facekicks her. Rydeen hits a corner lariat flurry then shoulders her down. Hana tries some roll-ups then facekicks her but Rydeen desperately fights out of her pin attempt. Rydeen suplexes her then waistlock bombs her and puts her in the single leg crab again.

Rydeen shotgun dropkicks her. Hana hits some face kicks then top rope dropkicks her. Rydeen pops right up though and spinning sideslams her for 1. Rydeen backdrops her and they trade forearms for kicks. Hana high kicks her for 1 and Rydeen lariats her for 1. Hana runs into a stiff forearm then Rydeen hits a samoan drop, but misses her vader bomb. Hana step-up enzugiri's her and is lariated over. Hana gets lariated but rolls Rydeen up right after for 1 count and the match ends somehow.

As usual, when Pure-J does these special rules, it's really hard to understand. I'm not 100% sure what was going on but Hana somehow won it. It hard to rate some of this since the rules were a little above me, but they could have sold more and done a little less. They generally did an okay job with the underdog vs heavyweight stuff though, but they had some sloppy sections that may have been related to the rules.

Leon Costume Match - Momo Tani vs KAZUKI ?

Both are in Leon costumes and I think KAZUKI is in the other Leon costume here. Kazuki has one a muscle suit costume and is taken down early. Kaz gets stuck in the ropes and kicked in the butt then Momo hits chops. Momo ties her up in the ropes and chops her then Kaz slams her. Kaz then rolls onto her.

Kaz crabs her then they trade knees to the gut. Momo starts stomping her then Kaz hits another knee to the gut. Kaz does Leon poses and Momo dropkicks her. Momo double knee drops her back. Momo then top rope knees her for 2. Momo knees her against the ropes then meteora's her. Momo then drops double knees from the 2nd rope for 2. Kaz then spears her for 2 and rolls her up for the win.

I didn't like this at all. I found this a real chore to get through. They did their normal match but also did screwing around with Leon's moves and poses.

Crea and Leon vs Riko Kaiju and AKARI

Crea and Akari test of strength to start then Crea rolls her around into a pin attempt. Akari side headlocks her then takes a headscissors and they stare down. Leon and Riko get in and Leon shoulders her over then Riko armdrags her. Leon then armdrags her. Riko then dropkicks Leon then Akari joins in on it as well. Akari double reverse armbars her then is armdragged and dropkicked.

Akari takes a sequence that ends in a bulldog and basement dropkick then Crea indian deathlocks her. The video runs into issues but Akari dropkicks her and tags out. Crea takes a top rope crossbody from Riko then Riko neckbreakers her and dropkicks her. Akari then hits a hard lariat for 2.

Crea facekicks Akari then takes a spinning lariat. The two trade forearms to the chest then Crea northern lights suplexes her for 2. Crea hits some kicks to the head then hits a beautiful german for 2. Leon runs up the ropes with a bulldog on Akari then top rope dropkicks her. Akari 619's Leon then northern lights suplexes her for 2.

Akari spin kicks and pump kicks Leon into a suplex for 2. Akari then crossfaces her which Crea breaks up. Leon spears both opponents. Akari takes a reverse brazilian kick then a spinning high kick from Leon. Akari then rolls her up for 2. Leon spears Akari on the ropes then does a normal spear to get the win.

This was a decent and fast paced main event. As usual, Leon and Akari worked well together and Crea's stuff looked good as usual.

Overall thoughts: Wasn't a big fan of this one with 2 of the 3 matches not being normal matches. The main was decent though.

Crea vs KAZUKI

Akari is the second ref here and gets to hit people with a fan when they say various things. Kazuki got the win here with a sunset flip. I skipped most of this as it's really hard to understand if you don't speak Japanese plus the ref getting to hit people is stupid.

Crea and AKARI vs Momo Tani and Chie Ozora

Everyone is wearing old gear for some reason.

Chie is thrown into her partner early then Chie and Momo are tired up in the ropes and chopped. Chiedropkicks Akari against the ropes and then Akari is used as a stool to pose on between the ropes. Momo hair throws Akari and drops knees on her. Akari then shotgun dropkicks Momo.

Crea trips Momo into an Akari elbow then Crea camel clutches Momo as Akari dropkicks her. Crea fights off a 2v1 with shoulders and Chie is slammed by Akari. Chie walks the top rope with Akari's arm then armdrags her. Akari pump kicks both opponents then Chie takes corner moves. Akari strangleholds Chie from the top buckle and misses a dropkick from 2nd rope. Chie then nails her with one for 2. Akari then takes a Chie double stomp and a Momo double knee drop. Akari then suplexes Momo for 2.

Crea hits some chest kicks on Momo and gets a 2 count on her. Momo facebusters Crea then Crea kneebreaks Momo. She rolls her into an ankle lock. Chie tries to break it up but gets put in a rack hold over Akari's shoulder. Crea goes up top and is thrown down by Momo then dropkicked by Chie. Momo meteora's her in the corner and drops double knees on her from the 2nd rope for 2.

Momo and Chie double dropkick Akari then Momo codebreakers Crea. Crea blocks her move then northern lights suplexes her for 2. Akari spin kicks Chie then takes a flying shoulder. Chie hits a top rope shoulder on Akari for 2 then sunsent flips her for 2. Chie rolls her around with a bodysicssors. Akari 619's Chie then Crea holds her up for an Akari facebuster. Akari then northern lights suplexes her and they try pin attempts.  Akari puts la magistral on Chie and Akari gets pushed into a Momo codebreaker. Chie then perfectplexes Akari and Akari hits a deep tequila sunrise on Chie for the win.

It wasn't anything too special. There was nothing really wrong with it but the selling wasn't there as the pace was too fast for it.

Leon vs Madeline vs Rydeen Hagane

Madeline has new gear here that looks like it was found at Target. They do a triple collar and elbow tie up and Maddy is thrown off. Maddy steps on the feet of her opponents and leg kicks them but is shouldered down. Maddy then uses the ropes to armdrag them. Maddy then poses on the top rope with Rydeen's arm and drops down with an armbar.

Maddy rolls up Leon out of nowhere and tries to explain herself, then tries to get Leon to work with her. Leon picks up Maddy and Maddy rolls on her and tris to get a pin off of it. Leon lawn dart spears Maddy then double stomps her. Leon then crabs her and Rydeen goes to sleeper Leon while she does this.

Rydeen spinning backbreakers Maddy then splashes both at the same time. Rydeen then single leg crabs both at the same time. Rydeen racks Leon over her back then splashes her against the ropes for 2. Leon then uses the ropes to bulldog Rydeen and spears her. Leon goes to top rope frogsplash both opponents but only gets Rydeen when Maddy moves.

Maddy hits chest kicks on Leon then Rydeen ends up spearing Rydeen on the apron. Maddy then rolls Leon into an ankle lock. Leon tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Maddy and racks her across her back. Rydeen breaks it up then side throws Leon. Maddy hits chest kicks on Rydeen then rolls her up a few times.

Rydeen blocks a casadora attempt and drops her body first on the mat. Rydeen then vader bombs her and Leon splashes her and dropkicks Rydeen at the same time. Leon spinning high kicks Rydeen and we even get a double pin attempt on Rydeen. Rydeen hits a super kick and spinning heel kick on Maddy. Leon then does a back roll into a bridge pin on Rydeen and Maddy gets on top of it and pins both girls to win it.

The finish was interesting. 3 ways are mostly all the same with a couple of 3 person moves and then people pairing off. That's what happened here. They worked some storyline with Leon and Maddy not being able to work together that I didn't really understand and they kept this one fast paced.

Overall thoughts: Not really a great dojo show. The comedy match wouldn't have been good even without the Japanese stuff and the rest wasn't enough to carry it.

Synchronous Love Tag Team Tournament First Round Match - Kaori Yoneyama & Leon vs. Hanako Nakamori & Hiroyo Matsumoto

Leon and Hana evade each others offense early then Hana takes a double team dropkick combo. Yone puts Hana in the camel clutch then Hana facekicks her. Yone is then put in the corner and splashed by Hiroyo. Yone is catapulted into a chest kick by Hiroyo then Hiroyo single leg crabs her.

Hana ties Yone up in the ropes and hits some kicks on her then Yone runs up the ropes, bounces off of it and armdrags both opponents. Leon uses the ropes to bulldog Hiroyo then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Hana. Leon then top rope dropkicks Hiroyo for 2. Hiroyo and Leon trade forearms then Hiroyo does like a cobra clutch blade runner on her. Hiroyo then vader bomb style kneedrops Leon for 2.

Leon goes for a spear but Hana kicks her then Hana takes a double cutter. Yone top rope sentons Hana then Leon top rope frogsplashes Leon for 2. Hana high kicks Leon twice then gets speared. Yone northern lights suplexes Hana then Hana top rope superplexes Yone for 2. Hiroyo powerbombs Yone onto Leon then Hana step up enzugiri's Yone. Hana falcon arrows Yone but can't pin her. Hana gets pushed into Hiroyo then Yone rolls up Hana for the pin.

This was a fast paced sprint here. It was good and the 4 just matched up well, since 3 of them have been wrestling each other forever. I was hoping for the Hana/Hiroyo win and them losing in the first round was really quite the upset.

Synchronous Love Tag Team Tournament First Round Match - KAZUKI & Megumi Yabushita vs. Chie Ozora & Riko Kaiju

Riko and Chie do a dosey do early then hit stereo dropkicks. Chie walks the ropes and armdrags Kazuki, then dropkicks her. Chie then double reverse armbars Kaz through the ropes. Chie gets clotheslined with a belt and is choked out with it. Meguma then crabs Chie. Kaz armbars Chie and pulls her hair.

Chie dropkicks Kaz off the 2nd buckle. Riko gets in and fights off her opponents 1v2 then crossbodies both. Riko dropkicks Kaz. Megumi gets in and facekicks Riko and Riko tries a failed legsweep on her. Riko then top rope crossbodies Megumi and slams her. Chie gets in and triangles Megumi over the top rope then Megumi does the same to her.

Megumi double footstomps Chie's arm off the top then does a nice roll into a pin on her. Megumi takes a barrage of dropkicks from both opponents. Megumi then whips Chie with a belt and gets Riko as well, right in front of the ref. Riko dropkicks Kaz into a sunset flip from Chie then Chie rolls Kaz around with a bodyscissors. Kaz meteora's Chie for a close 2.

Kaz top rope kneedrops Chie then fireman's carry gutbusters her for 2. Riko then hits Kaz into a Chie roll up and Chie grabs the win.

I wasn't a big fan of this. I didn't like Megumi cheating right in front of the ref and nothing happening. The work wasn't anything great either.

Rydeen Hagane and SAKI vs Crea and AKARI

Akari armdrags Rydeen over then Rydeen blocks the 2nd attempt. Akari then spinning headscissors her. Rydeen is tripped into an elbow then camel clutched into a dropkick. Rydeen then spinning backbrackers Akari and splashes her. SAKI then gets in and stretches Akari. Akari comes back with a shotgun dropkick and Crea gets in. Crea hits machine gun chops on Saki then Saki atomic drops her.

Akari gets in then stranglehold chokes her on the buckles. Akari drops down with an armdrag into a roll and fujiwara armbar. Saki facekicks Crea and double chops her. Crea then hits a double arm nothern lights suplex and Akari 619's Saki. Crea then holds up Saki for an Akari bulldog.

Saki suplexes Crea. Akari and Rydeen get in and Akari top rope dropkicks her. Akari hits a step kick then takes a hard lariat for 2. Rydeen then powerslams her and spining heel kicks her for 2. Rydeen hits a monster release german on her then Akari takes splashes from the top from both opponents. Akari slides under Rydeen's lariat and rolls her up then Rydeen hits a great release backdrop on her. Rydeen misses a top rope moonsault then Crea 180 degree splashes her from up top. Akari hits a nice northern lights on Rydeen for 2.

Crea reverse brazilian kicks Rydeen then Akari lariats her. Rydeen hits a nice suplex into a swinging side slam but Akari doesn't sell it. Akari tries to roll her up but Rydeen does it to her too and grabs the win.

This was a good one here with some fast paced action. Rydeen hit some great suplexes here.

Synchronous Love Tag Team Tournament Semi Final Match - Kaori Yoneyama & Leon vs. Chie Ozora & Riko Kaiju

They waste no time getting into action here. Leon spears Chie and Yone goes to roll up Chie but is reversed and pinned in seconds.

This was bogus and there's no excuse for this Kaori or Leon were seriously injured. Yeah, it's surprising but Kaori not showing up would be surprising too and wouldn't be entertaining either.

Synchronous Love Tag Team Tournament Semi Final Match - Rydeen Hagane & SAKI vs. Momo Tani & Rina Amikura

Rina goes under A~min in Ice Ribbon, but goes under Rina here.

Momo and Rina attack their opponents early. Rydeen and Saki try to double team then but run into each other. Rydeen gets put on top of Saki then Momo double knee drops her and MomoRina pose on their opponents. Momo then strangleholds Saki and Rina gets in. Rina falling splashes Saki then Saki seemingly punches her in the crotch.

Momo gets back in and shoulder throws Saki around. Saki then leg and arm swings Momo. Rydeen gets in and double backdrops both opponents then backbreakers Momo over her shoulder. Momo then is put in reverse tree of woe and splashed. Rydeen then running lariats her twice for 2.

Momo gets stuck on a casadora attempt and is backdropped out of it. Mom then double knees her against the ropes and knee drops her. Rina is then tagged in and sentons Rydeen. Rina tries to shoulder battle Rydeen but gets nowhere. Rina then tries machine gun chops and gets nowhere then is taken down by a shoulder. Rina finally then takes her down with a shoulder.

Momo hits a Thesz press on Rina and they fall back onto Rydeen. Rina then splashes Rydeen for 2. Rydeen then spin kicks Rina for 2. Saki gets in and rocking chairs Rina then she double bulldogs Rina and Momo. Saki suplexes Rina then Rina hits a bad slam on her. Momo gets in and meteora's Saki through the ropes then Rina rolls onto Saki for 2.

Mom top rope knees Saki then vader bomb knee drops her for 2. Momo then 2nd rope double knee drops Saki. Rina 2nd rope sentons Saki then Momo hits a top rope knee drop on her for 2. Momo misses a meteora then takes a sliding lariat from Rydeen. Rydeen lariats over both opponents then her and Saki stereo vader bomb their opponents for 2. Momo tries some pin attempts on Saki then is alley-oop'd and superkicked. Saki then running brainbusters Momo to win it.

They just didn't sell much here though the pace was quick. I also felt they kicked out of too much by the end of it.

Synchronous Love Tag Team Tournament Final Match - Rydeen Hagane & SAKI vs. Chie Ozora & Riko Kaiju

Saki's team takes stereo roll-ups at the bell then shoulder and facekick their opponents at the same time. Rydeen picks up Saki for double boots into Riko's face then Riko runs up the buckles and armdrags Saki. Chie gets in and triangles Saki over the top then 2nd rope dropkicks her.

Chie misses a dropkick then Saki rolls her into a grounded surfboard that Riko breaks up. Riko rolls up Saki into an ankle lock. Saki then suplexes her. Rydeen gets in and running lariats Riko in the corner. Riko dropkicks her for 2 then goes up the ropes to stunner her. Chie getsin and shoulders Rydeen, but is pulled off the top rope after.

Chie's team tries to double dropkick Rydeen but Riko misses then they both hit some footstomps on Rydeen. Riko then top rope crossbodies Rydeen and Chie top rope dropkicks Rydeen. Rydeen and Saki hit twisting elbows on their opponents from the 2nd buckle. Rydeen goes to lariat Chie but misses and Chie sells it like death anyway. Rydeen then perfext plexes her for 2.

Rydeen has her up on her shoulder and drops her to the side. Rydeen then wins it and wins the tournament with a top rope moonsault on Chie.

This wasn't too good. Rydeen was just done after 3 full-length matches which is understandable. The missed lariat spot was really bad as well.

Overall thoughts: One night tournaments are always tough as you want to protect people and not overwork people, so you get quick matches and weird endings. The show wasn't bad or anything even though I didn't like some of the matches and I thought it decent overall.

Rydeen Hagane vs Momo Tani

This has comedic rules. They have to say something and get the OK from the game show buzzer to win. Rydeen ended up winning this. It is virtually impossible for non-Japanese speaking fans to enjoy or understand this one and I don't recommend watching it.

Hanako Nakamori vs AKARI

Hana rolls out of an armlock early. Akari goes around her back and hits a nice armdrag then ties up Hana's arm in the ropes. Akari slams her for 2 then Hana kicks her in the back. Hana then legdrops her for 2 and ties her up in the ropes. She pushes her foot against her head then hits some leg kicks on her. Hana then single leg crabs her and ddt's her.

Hana bangs her head off the buckles then Hana spin kicks her. Akari comes back with a shotgun dropkick and triangles her over the top rope. Akari then 2nd rope dropkicks her for 2. Hana does a hilarious botch on a step up enzugiri as she falls flat on her face then Hana works her leg. Hana trades kicks for chest forearms from Akari. Akai chest club flurries her an goes for a fujiwara armbar.

Hana kicks Akari's head through the ropes then spin kicks Akari. Akari comes back with a spin kick and pump kick of her own. Akari then 619's her and northern lights suplexes her for 2. Akari then top rope dropkicks her for 2. Akari moves into a double reverse armbar and Hana ropebreaks.

Hana headbutts Akari in the gut then Akari hits la magistral on her. Akari lariats her for 2 and Hana comes back with a german suplex. Hana hits a nice high kick for 2. Hana shining wizard's Akari then hits a flying kick to her face for the win.

I wasn't that into it. They went a little too even and it just wasn't anything special. They did their usual moves and not much else.

Crea and Leon vs KAZUKI and Cherry

Kaz and Crea shoulder battle to start. Kaz shoulders her over. Leon and Crea double team Kaz by gut kicking her then bulldogging her and dropkicking her as she is down. Crea indian dathlocks Kaz then back body drops her for 2. Leon gets in and flying dropkicks Kaz then Leon flipping sentons her for 2.

Leon and Crea double team Kaz again with running back elbows. Cherry then knocks them over as they try to pose and throws them into Kaz's knees. Kaz and Cherry then pose together. Cherry cartwheel back elbows Leon then puts her in the Christo, which Leon ropebreaks for. Leon tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Cherry then Cherry flying clotheslines her.

Kaz headlocks Crea then hair throws her. Kaz slams her and does a weak double knee drop for 2. Kaz trades knees to the gut for Crea's forearms. Cherry hits Crea with a water bottle as she comes off the ropes then Crea alternates between chopping Cherry and Kaz. Kaz hits a weird back body drop on Crea then Crea catches Kaz's leg and ankle locks her which Kaz codebreakers out of.

Leon gets in and running spears Kaz. Leon then uses the ropes to bulldog Kaz for 2. Kaz knees Leon in the gut then puts her on the 2nd buckle and double knee drops Leon from the top. Cherry eventually has to help Kaz push her down as Leon wouldn't budge. Cherry gets in and leg trips Leon into a surfboard variation.

Leon does a great backwards roll into a rack over her back then Cherry sleepers her. Leon tilt-a-whirl slams her then texas cloverleafs her. Leon criss crosses Cherry and spears her from the side. Crea gets in and top rope dropkicks Cherry. She then northern lights suplexes her for 2 and hits an unusual standing leglock. Crea facekicks Cherry through the ropes.

Crea takes a sandwich shot from Kaz and Cherry then Leon spears Kaz and Cherry. Crea hits a 180 rotation splash from the top on Cherry then Crea rolls up Cherry for 2. Kaz TKO's Crea and Cherry kicks Kaz in the back for some reason. Cherry then rolls Crea into a choke with her inner leg and wins it.

This wasn't too good. Kaz didn't have a great night and her and Cherry didn't mesh that well as a team here. It also definitely went longer than it needed to.

Overall thoughts: Not a good one here. The opener was Japanese comedy and the semi-main and main didn't really deliver.

AKARI vs Chie Ozora

They do some fast counters and reversals early over armdrags, then fight off each others leg sweeps. Chie offers to shake hands and kicks her then dropkicks her. Chie walks the ropes with her arm and Akari blocks her armdrag attempt while she does it. Chie ties up Akari in the ropes and double reverse armbars her and dropkicks her in the back.

Akari strangleholds her in the corner then misses a 2nd rope dropkick. Chie then hits a 2nd rope dropkick. Akari comes back with a spin kick then gets rolled into a casadora. Akari has her ankle and Chie tries to roll to get out but she blocks it and tries to pin her. Chie then ankle locks her and rolls her around the ring with her legs. The two trade roll-ups then Chie fishermans suplexes her. Akari then wins with la magistral.

I really liked this one. This was a total sprint. They went very fast trying to actually beat the other one and did a great job countering each others moves. This was all wrestling here and they did a fantastic job of it.

KAZUKI vs Crea

We have some kind of circular piece of rubber in the middle of the ring. I think they aren't allowed to fall on it.

Crea tries to pull her down on it before the bell rings. They both whip each other into it and Crea tries to force her down on it. Kaz jumps over it as she runs and Crea nearly touches it on a facebuster. Kaz then tries to stand on her back but she won't go down. Kaz STF's her then knees her in the back as she is tied in the ropes.

Kaz gets slapped in the back and almost falls on the circle. Crea tries to kick her and Kaz pulls her foot down but can't get it on the circle. Kaz goes up on the buckles and Crea ankle locks her as she stands there. Kaz hits some knees to the gut hen takes a superkick for 2. Crea tries roll her onto the circle with her legs.

Kaz hts a coconut crush on her over the circle, but she falls behind it and is seated. Kaz then dropkicks her in the back and Crea touches the circle to lose.

While these matches can be entertaining, they are not 100% wrestling and I don't know what to really say about it. It kept my interest and they did keep it moving but it was more of a game than a match.

Rydeen Hagane and Leon vs Hanako Nakamori and Momo Tani

Hana has some different white and black gear than usual. Rydeen gets stunnered over the top rope early then takes a sandwich dropkick. Rydeen then fights back with shoulder blocks then her and Leon walk on both opponents. Leon gets tripped on Rydeen's back then Momo knee drops her and Momo does her taunt. Hana PK's and leg drops Rydeen then Rydeen splashes her. Rydeen holds Leon up for a double boot then Rydeen and Leon flipping splash and splash Hana.

Hana flatlinters Leon then Momo gets in and gets slammed. Leon then camel clutches her and butterfly suplexes her for 2. Rydeen hits a giant swing on Momo which amusingly pulls her skirt up to her chest then crabs her. Rydeen then drops Momo on her butt for 2. Leon hits a flying corner dropkick on Momo. Momo then gets tied up in the ropes and is chopped by both opponents. Momo fights the chops with forearms then throws Leon by her head.

Hana gets in and kick combos Leon. Hana then runs up the buckles with Rydeen's arm and jumps off to headscissor down Leon with an armdrag on Rydeen. Hana then fisherman suplexes Leon for 2. Hana ddt's Rydeen then Momo hits a stiff running knee to the gut. Momo sleepers Rydeen over the top rope then Hana 2nd rope flying knees her as Hana holds her up. Rydeen spinning backbreakers Momo then racks her.

Momo tries to sunset flip Rydeen but is blocked. Hana comes in and kicks Rydeen then drops down to head kick her. Hana then facekicks her against the middle rope. Hana top rope dropkicks Rydeen then they trade kicks for forearms. Rydeen superkicks her and backdrops both opponents at the same time. Rydeen then spin kicks Hana for 2.

Rydeen vader bombs Hana for 2. Leon gets in and blocks Hana's kicks before hitting a capture suplex and octopus variation on her as Rydeen backbreakers Momo. Hana takes a spear/shoulder combo from her opponents then Leon spears Hana for 2. Hana high kicks Leon then shining wizards her for another 2. Hana his another shining wizard on Leon for 2. Momo fisherman suplexes Leon then hits a queen angelito stretch variation on her with a stranglehold.

Leon texas cloverleafs Momo then Rydeen germans Hana. Leon and Rydeen spear and then lariat their opponents against the ropes and Leon top rope dropkicks Momo. Hana superplexes Leon then Momo meteora's Leon. Momo top rope double knee drops Leon for 2. Momo misses a meteora then is superkicked and takes a beautiful spinning rack slam. Leon forearms Momo but Momo comes back with an O'Mahoney roll for 2. Leon spears Momo against the ropes then spears her. Leon top rope frogsplashes Momo and wins it.

This was a good main event. It was about 18 minutes straight of action with little downtime. These four really meshed well together and the action just flowed well. It was your typical good Pure-J main event. Good stuff here.

Overall thoughts: The main was good and the opener was surprisingly very good as well. The midcard comedy match was entertaining but it was as much of a match as it was a game of some sort and it's hard to judge it.

Yuko Sakurai and SAKI vs Chie Ozora and Crea

Saki gets pounded on 2v1 early then her and Yuko avoid dropkicks. Yuko slams Chie then her and Saki frolick around, step on Chie and sit on her with a pose. Chie and Crea then double dropkick Saki then Chie gets dropped on Saki for a double footstomp. Chie walks the ropes with Saki's arm then armdrags her.

Crea indian deathlocks Saki then Saki atomic drops her. Yuko and Crea battle shoulders then Crea runs her over with one. The two trade chest forearms then Yuko shoulders her over. Crea rolls Yuko's leg into an ankle lock but Yuko rope breaks. Crea then face kicks her through the ropes.

Crea hits another facekick then Chie dropkicks Yuko. Chie armbars Yuko over the top rope then puts her in cattle mutilation. Saki helps out Yuko and they elbow drop and splash Chie. Chie gets put over the top rope then Saki running knees her. Saki misses a vader bomb then Chie 2nd rope shoulders her for 2.

Chie hits a nice sunset flip on Saki and Saki goes an odd gut punch to her. Chie then perfectplexes her for 2. Crea top rope dropkicks Saki then Chie does the same. Crea northern lights suplexes Saki for 2. Saki and Yuko double kick Crea then Crea and Saki exchange face kicks for a while. Crea takes a real stiff one then takes one through the ropes. Crea reverse brazilian kicks Saki then germans her for 2. Saki then michinoku drivers Crea for 2. Chie gets slammed on Crea then Saki facekicks Crea for 2. Saki hits a wild twisting brainbuster on Crea for the win.

They kept a fast pace and did keep it entertaining but I just didn't think it was great.

AKARI vs Yuu

They go to the mat early. Akari headscissors her and they stand off. Yuu shoulders her over then splashes her in the corner. Akari dropkicks her but gets boston crabbed right after. It turns into a single leg crab and Akari ropebreaks. Akari armdrags her then double reverse armbars her, which Yuu ropebreaks for.

Akari strangleholds her, or at least tries to, then is iconoslammed. Akari then fujiwara armbars her and Yuu comes back with a nice spinning side slam and a senton. Yuu hits some chops and Akari fires back with forearms. Yuu then hits a crossbody for 2. Akari hits a barrage of kicks to back her off then rolling leg bars her. Akari hits a 619 then top rope dropkicks her.

Akari then goes for a pin attempt for 2 and la magitral's her for another 2. Yuu dropkicks her in the gut and then crossbodies her off the bottom rope. Yuu then cannonballs her in the corner for 2. Yuu cannonballs her against the ropes then 2nd rope splashes her for the win.

This went too long and I didn't think they worked the big vs smaller girl angle enough. It wasn't bad or anything, but it could have been much better.

Hanako Nakamori vs Hiroyo Matsumoto

They battle over a lock-up to start. Hana leg and chest kicks her then gets shouldered over. Hana facekicks her and kicks her in the back and front. They test of strength which Hana loses. Hana kick combos her and gets lariated. Hana then gets put between the ropes and splashed. Hiroyo shoulders her over and cranks her neck.

Hiroyo hits some chops then Hana puts her into the ropes and face kicks her. Hana then top rope dropkicks her and rolls it into a fujiwara armbar. Hana kicks her in the arm then gets suplexed. Hana comes back with a facekick then takes a big lariat. Hiroyo then blade runners her for 2.

Hiroyo gets thrown off the 2nd rope then suplexes Hana off the top. Hana then superplexes her off the top. They trade forearms while on their knees and then they slap each other. They forearm each other at the same time. Hana then high kicks her and shining wizards her. Hana stunners her then Hiroyo germans her back. Hana hits a shining wizard then runs into a Hiroyo lariat. Hiroyo drops double knees on her from the 2nd rope. Then gives her a kawada kick.

They trade shots and Hana headbutts her then runs into a stiff back elbow. Hana high kicks her twice then hits a knee and a buzzsaw kick. Hiroyo hits a back drop as time is running out then sliding lariats her for 2. Hana slams her and the time runs out at 15 minutes.

This going to a 15 minute draw was a little lame. It wasn't bad. I thought they progressed it well and it made sense, but it was by no means a classic. They went rather even with each other here and got some stiff shots in near the end.

Cherry and Leon vs Kaori Yoneyama and Kakeru Sakiguchi

Leon and Kaori counter each other then both armdrag the other. Cherry and Kak trade holds then Kak dropkicks her. Cherry uses Kak to lariat Kaori then puts her on her and double stomps both. Cherry then does a cartwheel back elbow then Kaori takes a double flying chop. Leon butterfly suplexes Kaori for 2 then crabs her. Kak tries to pull Kaori to the ropes but Cherry comes in and steps on Kak's hand.

Leon has Kaori in a high crab. Kak forearms her and Leon goes back making the hold more painful. Cherry bangs Kaori's head off the mat. Kaori tries for some mongolian chops on Cherry and gets a gut punch. Kaori then gets a double shoulder block but recovers, flips off the ropes and double armdrags both opponents.

Kak gets thrown into the ropes and twisting springboard double crossbodies both opponents. Kak then top rope dropkicks Cherry for 2. Cherry then does a nice step up on Kak and rolls into an armbar. Kaori and Kak attempt a double team on Cherry on the ropes but Kak knocks Kaori down to the floor on a miss.

Leon gets in and lawn dart spears Kaak in the corner then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers her. Cherry headscissors Leon onto Kak then Cherry jumps off Leon's back for a flip onto Kak. Kak and Leon trade forearms then Kak fujiwara armbars Cherry. Kak then rolling armbars Leon but it gets broken up.

Kaori back rolls out of a sleeper then knees Leon in the back. Leon then counters her and hits a tilt-a-whirl slam. Leon then hits her top rope frogsplash for 2. Leon spinning high kicks Kaori then spears her in the back for 2. Cherry leg trips Kaori then turns it into a leg and arm submission. Kaori rope breaks and hits a ddt on Cherry. she goes for a knee to the back but gets caught then Cherry hits a nice northern lights suplex for 2.

Kaori takes a powerbomb from Leon with Cherry pushing her forward from the top then Cherry swantons Kaori from the top for 2. Kaori takes a hard spear on the ropes from Leon then gets a uraken from Cherry. Kak accidentally lariats Kaori then Leon spears boh opponents. Cherry then nothern lights suplexes Kaori and does a nneckbreaker into  a choker with her inner leg. Kak then rolls Cherry over and Kaori steals the pin to win.

This was almost 20 minutes long but this was surprisingly good. They kept the pace up here. Cherry really showed up by having one of the best performances she has ever had then we had some fun with Kak and Kaori not being able to hit any double team moves. Fun stuff.

WANTED (Rydeen Hagane and KAZUKI) vs Jaguar Yokota and Megumi Yabushita

Wanted get attacked with a chair and a belt at the start of this which should be a DQ. Jag sits on Rydeen's back and pulls on her hair while Megumi gets shots in. Jag then puts Rydeen in the octopus stretch but Kaz breaks it. Rydeen takes a 1v2 in the corner then hip throws Megumi

Kaz running knees Megumi when she is tagged in then Megumi face busters her. Kaz then takes a 1v2. Jag holds Kaz for a Megumi basement dropkick. Jag then figure fours Kaz. Megumi does a butt drop on Kaz's knee. Kaz backdrops Megumi then Rydeen pops her up into a Kaz knee.

Megumi knees Rydeen then facebusters and basement dropkicks her.  Megumi gets out her belt and whips Rydeen, then she armbars her over the ropes. Megumi top rope knee drops Rydeen's arm then Rydeen comes back with a spinning heel kick. Megumi hits a nice side throw then tags out.

Jag gets in and gets lariated they Rydeen sideslams her. Jag forearms Rydeen then headlocks her and headscissors Kaz over. Kaz backdrops Jag then Jag later brings in a chair and hits Rydeen and Kaz with it. Kaz then gets hit with a belt and a chair. Kaz is put in the chair and clotheslines with the belt then Megumi northern lights suplexes Kaz.

Rydeen lariats Jag then WANTED hit corner attacks on their opponents. Both opponents get put on the ropes and Kaz knee drops both down. Kaz then top rope knee drops Megumi for 2. Megumi hits a ddt on Kaz then Jag flip kicks her from the 2nd rope. Megumi then flying armbars Kaz but Rydeen stops it. Kaz misses a corner charge and trades pins with Megumi before winning it.

I appreciated Jag and Megumi working full on heel here and doing a good job of it. However, I hated them using weapons right in front of the ref and nothing happening over it. It really was a decent effort otherwise though and even though the crowd couldn't cheer, they still ended up doing so because they liked it so much.

Overall thoughts: It was a good effort by Pure-J. I really liked the Cherry tag, Hiroyo/Hanako was okay and the main had some issues but was good otherwise.
