Maxxine Duprii vs Shayna Baszler

Max waistlocks her. SB trips her and takes her down. SB chinlocks her then stands on her neck, pushing her head into the mat. SB side headlocks her. Max rolls her up for 2.

SB germans her then leg chokes her on the ropes. SB snapmares her. SB then ties Max's legs up and cranks on her head. Max hits forearms then SB lariats her for 2.

SB chinlocks her. Max jawbreakers her. Max knees her in the gut then spinning roundhouse kicks her. Max does a bad pumping knee then fisherman suplexes her. Max kips up and does a corner splash. SB does a bad bump down and Max does the caterpillar elbow drop for 2.

Max trips her and goes for a sharpshooter. SB trips her then kneels on her neck with a half crab. SB then submits her.

Thoughts: It had a some sloppy moments as usual. The finish wasn't hit that clean either but was creative.

Alpha Academy (Otis and Akira Tozawa) vs A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory)

Akira wristlocks Waller. Waller rolls and does kip ups. Akira then flips him by the wrist. Waller is hurricanrana'd. Waller calls for Otis to get in. Otis shoves Waller back then throws him out. Austin rolls in and dropkicks Otis for 2.

Otis running knees Austin then swings Akira's feet into the heels' heads. Otis goes to gorilla press Akira out but Waller distracts Maxxine and they can't do it. Austin then hits Akira and Otis from behind and gets the advantage.

We go to break and return. Austin throws Akira into the buckles. Akira takes a double pop-up punch for 2. Waller hits downward elbows on Akira. Akira cradles Waller for 2. Waller lariats Akira then chinlocks him.

Akira boots Waller out of the corner. Waller sits Akira on the 2nd rope and holds him there for a slingshot stomp from Austin for 2. Austin chinlocks Akira. Austin backbreakers Akira then cheapshots Otis on the apron. Austin chinlocks Akira.

Akira spinning ddt's Austin. Otis is tagged in. He lariats Waller over then spinning back elbows him. Otis fallway slams Austin. Otis back body drops Waller then corner splashes Austin. Waller is sent into Austin in the corner then Otis splashes both in the corner. Otis does a caterpillar elbow drop. Akira topes outside. Otis slams Waller and Akira top rope sentons Waller to win.

Thoughts: Alpha Academy has done this match dozens of times. It worked just like it always does. The heels controlled the first half, Otis got the hot tag in and the faces picked up the win. It's simple stuff but it never fails. I enjoyed this and had no issues with it. I just hate to see Theory and Waller wasted on Main Event instead of one TV.

Overall thoughts: There were only 2 new matches as usual and like usual, the men's match was a lot better than the women's match. The women's match had it's usual rough moments. The men's match had the usual Alpha Academy formula with them getting a win to make the crowd happy. You don't need to see this one but it's a quick watch.
