Xyon Quinn vs Dante Chen

Chen hits a dropkick early and they stare down. Xyon corner spears him and drops him on a buckle. Xyon then runs him over. Chen tries to crossbody him but gets blocked. Chen then hits a lariat and a corner splash. Chen then hits a nice brogue kick for 2.

Chen goes up top and gets caught on a crossbody then spinning death valley drivered. Chen rolls him up for 2 and takes a running forearm for the Xyon win.

This was short and simple but it worked. Xyon has a cool look and does alright as the big tough guy and Chen had his best showing yet...though he hasn't had a lot of showings.

Kayden Carter vs Tatum Paxley

Kayden and Kacy have smoke sprayers for their entrance and lots of neon lights. Kayden also has some light up shoulder piece. Tatum's kind of been flirting around with Diamond Mine.

Tatum does a nice Danno O'Mahoney roll into a grounded submission. They evade each other then stand off. Kayden slides out and shakes her butt at her then Tatum goes out. Kayden legdrops her off the bottom rope as she comes in. Tatum gets stuck on the middle buckle and dropkicked.

Tatum hits a nice dropkick and superplexes her. Tatum body scissors her. Kayden does a nice leg sweep and a kick in the face while on the mat. Kayden hits a stiff forearm then rolls her into a superkick. Tatum slams her then does a corkscrew standing moonsault for 2. Kayden catches her foot, flips her then hits a big kick on her. Kayden then hits a death valley driver with the leg dropped on her and wins it.

This was a pretty good match. Tatum's good and can move. It was real fast paced and they did some bigger moves than you would expect. The crowd was real into it and this was very impressive for Tatum's 3rd match. 

 

James Drake vs Damon Kemp

JD works the arm and Kemp does a nice cartwheel and takes him down a couple of times. JD then does a nice headlock takeover. Kemp leapfrogs him and does a nice slam. Kemp then does a dangerous and nearly botched back body drop.

Zach Gibson gets involved and JD uses him to get an advantage. Kemp hits a nice overhead belly to belly then a stiff euro uppercut. Kemp does a rolling fireman's carry slam and Zach gets on the apron. Kemp is distracted and JD jump and headbutts him. Blade and Enofe come out and this distracts JD and Gibson, then Kemp gets the roll-up.

The match was good and Kemp continues to impress in these matches. He had some nice suplexes here. Drake and Gibson are also very good. I don't want to see an Enofe, Kemp and Blade group though.

Overall thoughts: Not must see, and really, it never can be, but this was good as it gets on NXT Level Up. All 3 matches were short but sweet and Tatum Paxley really impressed.
