Ice Ribbon 3/20/2022 - New Ice Ribbon #1187 - Ice Ribbon March 2022

I saw 6 of the 7 matches here.

Maika Ozaki & Saori Anou vs. Ram Kaicho & Saran

Ram evades Maika's attack and gives her the finger. Ram back elbows Maika but she isn't hurt. Anou and Saran are in and Saran is thrown by the hair. She is then tripped and Anou rolls on her back in an indian deathlock variation. Maika slams Saran then camel clutches her. Saran is thrown in the corner and goes up and over into a roll-up on Maika. She then tags into Ram who crossbodies Maika and then DDT's her over the top rope. Ram bulldogs Maika for 2.

Maika torture racks Ram but Saran quickly breaks it up and is thrown out. Anou top rope dropkicks Ram and the two trade chest forearms. Anou eye rakes Ram but gets dropkicked in the face. Anou gets thrown off the top then Saran slams her. Saran climbs on her back for a sleeper then Saran roates on Anou for a nice sleeper.

Saran dropkicks Anou in the ropes then crossbodies her off the top for 2. Anou recovers with a boot to the chest and Saran rolls her up or 2. Saran gets perfectplexed by Anou for 2 and gets her roll-up blocked with a backslide for the Anou and Ozaki win.

This wasn't great or anything, but Saran did a good job here. She was in for most of this and didn't look too bad at all against Anou.

Rina Yamashita vs Kaho Matsushita

Kaho hits some chest forearms early but doesn't hurt Rina. Rina takes some dropkicks then face kicks her. Rina continues to dominate her and slams her. Kaho his some forearms on Rina but Rina knocks her down with one. Rina sharpshooters her and she rope breaks.

Rina knees Kaho on the 2nd rope then hits her with a hard forearm and some boots. Rina basement dropkicks her then Kaho gets a slam in. Rina comes back with a ddt and they trade forearms. Kaho rolls her up for 2 then suplexes her. Rina rolls out of a move and face kicks her and gets a close 2. Rina then lariats her for the win.

This was a long squash that wasn't good and did little to help Kaho, who is going to have to be one of the people carrying this company soon.

Totoro Satsuki vs Rina Amikura

They shoulder battle early and Totoro knocks her down first. Totoro chokes her in the corner then stands on her. Totoro butt drops on Rina's back then bow and arrows her from the position. Totoro misses a falling splash then Rina hits one on her back. Rina tries others but Totoro keeps pushing her away with her feet.

Rina 2nd rope sentons her for 2 then Totoro rolling fireman's carries her. Totoro 2nd rope sentons her for 2 then hits a crossbody for 2. Totoro then butt drops her for another 2. Rina rolls her into a butt drop for 2 then forward rolls on her for 2. Rina goes up top and Totoro puts her on her shoulder then drops her in like a one winged angel type of move and wins it.

This could have been better but this was one of the better matches I've seen Rina involved in and it was a decent big girl match. It wasn't perfect, but I liked the idea of it and they did a good job uses their weight against each other here.

Triangle Ribbon Three Way Title Match - Yuuki Mashiro (c) vs. Nao Ishikawa vs. Riko Kaiju

Mashiro evades dropkicks to start then Riko loses something on her costume when dropkicking her. Nao then gets sandwich dropkicked. Nao hits some shoulders on Riko and Yuuki eye pokes Riko into a roll-up. Nao block's Yuuki's roll-up of Nao then rolls both over. Nao tries to crossbody Yuuki off the top rope but gets Riko instead.

Nao does a cartwheel into a headscissors on Yuuki then Nao double underhook suplexes them. Riko hits dropkicks on Nao then top rope crossbodies her for 2. Riko northern lights suplexes Nao then Yuuki crossbodies Nao off the 2nd rope.

Riko jumps up to the top rope but falls down. Riko hits Yuuki with forearms then Nao rolls up both for 2. Riko tries her run up the ropes move again and kind of hits a crossbody off it then Yuuki powerslams Nao for 2. Yuuki then does an unusual twisting splash off the second rope on Nao and wins it. Yuuki goes after her opponents then has to be separated after.

You know the deal with these matches. They are usually a fast paced mess and that's mostly what happened here. Lots of dropkicks and armdrags to be had.

Hamuko Hoshi & Makoto vs. Muscle Venus (Hikaru Shida & Tsukasa Fujimoto)

Shida won't shake Ham's hand to start. Ham and Tsuka trade armdrags then Makoto and Shida get in. They go to shake hands and kick each other at the same time. Makoto facekicks Shida then Shida tilt-a-whirl backbreakers her. Tsuka then gets in and octopus stretches Makoto. Tsuka then dropkicks her in the ropes. Tsuka and Shida then double armbar her and pose.

Makoto cartwheels through a double lariat then kicks the middle rope as both opponents faces are on it. Tsuka does some squats into a slam on Ham then Ham rolls out of Shida's attack and poses. Han and Makoto then bang their butts off of Shida's head and Ham bulldogs Shida for 2. Shida hits corner punches on Makoto then dropkicks her from the 2nd rope. She then pops up Tsuka for a dropkick on her. Shida then hangs Makoto's head over the apron and knees her.

Shida hits Ham with a chair outside and misses a jump off a chair. Muscle Venus then gets double body blocked outside. Shida picks up Ham and has her dropkick her own partner then Shida drops Ham on Makoto. Tsuka top rope dropkicks Makoto then corner dropkicks her.

Makoto cartwheels into a knee drop on Tsuka then Tsuka hurricanrana's her out of nowhere. Makoto then spears her and does a nice release double underhook suplex. Ham samoan drops Tsuka then Shida deadlift suplexes her in from the 2nd rope. Ham takes double top rope dropkicks for 2.

Shida delay suplexes Ham. Makoto chokebombs Shida then Ham does a nice top rope splash on Shida for 2. Makoto does a nice pump kick on Tsuka then Shida flying knees Makoto so hard she totally falls out of the ring. Shida and Ham trade forearms then roll-up attempts. Ham then does a headscissors into a roll-up for 2. Ham and Makoto take double enzugiri's then Shida falcon arrows Ham for 2.

Makoto spears Shida then Tsuka jumps on Makoto and rolls her to the side. Ham hits a great double clothesline on both opponents then Shida high kicks Ham for 2. Tsuka dos a triangle enzugiri into a Shida german on Ham then Shida does a running knee to beat Ham.

This was a good one. They didn't do too much, the pace was good and these girls just matched up really well together. They also filled the time well and it didn't get boring. Ham was the star of the show here with her charisma and I thought they played it well with her fighting off both Muscle Venus members. This was the best match I've ever seen Shida involved in.

ICExInfinity Title - Tsukushi Haruka (c) vs SAKI

This is Saito's last match as a referee.

Not too much happens early until Tsu gains control. Tsu stands on her hands and stomps them then rakes the back. Tsu then ties her up in the ropes and dropkicks her. Saki comes back with a suplex then running face kicks her. Tsu then comes back with a spinning headscissors.

She gets Saki out of the ring then crossbodies her from the top to the floor. Saki throws Tsu in the post, rams her back into the post then death vallye drivers her on the floor. They get back in and Saki puts her in a queen angelito stretch. Tsu gets out though and double stomps her. Tsu guillotine clutches her and turns it into a ddt then she dropkicks her through the ropes.

Tsu top rope dropkicks her for 2. Tsu then runs into a falcon arrow from Saki. They go up top and Tsu top rope hurricanrana's her for 2. Saki then superplexes her off the 2nd rope at 10 minutes. They trade shots and Tsu drops her with forearms. Saki then facekicks her through the ropes.

Saki gets hung in the tree of woe position and Tsu top rope double stomps her. She then forearms her for 2. Saki then comes back with a spinning slam. Saki goes for some kind of driver but ends up turning it into an alley oop then facekicks Tsu a bunch of times. Saki then does an abdominal stretch bomb for 2.

Saki misses a top rope knee drop then hits another facekick for 2. Tsu then jumps backwards off the 2nd rope and body hurricanrana's her for the win.

I didn't like this one. There wasn't much selling or logic to it and Saki really doesn't have much charisma or personality. Add in a crowd that can't cheer and this just wasn't that good.

I believe Totoro challenged Tsukushi for the belt after.

Overall thoughts: Kind of the usual with Ice Ribbon. Not great but good enough to make you satisfied. The semi-main was a real good match but the rest wasn't anything too notable. The main was not good.
