Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals - Jacket Time vs MSK

Kushida had Nash's arm then he backflipped out of it. Lee messed up a cover attempt and Kushida did a nice armlock starting from the ground. Lee took a double armbreaker then kicks to both arms. Lee did a nice flip out of a leg sweep then did a dropkick on Jiro, but then flipped for his lariat. Lee took a double bulldog.

Jiro took MSK's dropkick into a bronco buster. Jiro went for a dive on Lee on the outside but Lee held him between the ropes and Nash kicked him. We went to break and returned with Nash hitting offense on Jiro then doing a nice german. He then did a running SSP. Lee went for a move on Jiro but was caught with a beach break. Jacket Time did a double hiptoss into cartwheels then dropkicks on Lee. Jiro missed a swanton bomb from the top then Nash tried his assisted moonsault but Kushida had his knees up for it. Kushida had his armbreaker on Nash then Lee came off the 2nd rope with a corkscrew blockbuster for the win. This was really action packed and had a lot of big moves like MSK usually does.

Zoey Stark told Io Shirai she isn't going to be ready yet and says Io needs to find a new partner for the Dusty Cup. Io said she doesn't want a new partner then Tiffany Stratton walked in. Tiffany said she would have plenty of time to find a partner after she beats her tonight.

Santos Escobar then came out.

Grimes did a promo on Tony D'Angelo. He said we would see who the better man is tonight and said he would drop Tony D off in Italy as he is taking the North American title to the moon when he beats Carmello Hayes. Ollie Jay was with them and she has a very fake chest.

Santos Escobar talked in the ring. He said Bron Breakker already makes him sick despite only being there a few months. Bron then came out. Bron said Santos was insecure as he needed LdF. He told him to issue the challenge and he will accept it. Santos said when he is ready, Bron will know. LdF went after Bron and got beaten up.

Boa got a vignette. He said his powers are uncontrollable and we saw clips of him transforming. He said Solo Sikoa doesn't understand the fire he has ignited.

No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere - Boa vs Solo Sikoa

Boa hits him with the kendo stick as Solo enters and continues in ring. Plunder gets thrown in the ring by Boa and Solo hits a samoan drop. Sikoa has new facepaint here and they fight over control of a chair. Boa then chairs him in the back and butterfly suplexes him on a trash can.

They go backstage and Solo chairs Boa. Boa throws him into some ladders then throws some of the ladders on him. Boa gets his head banged off a roll down garage door and Solo splashes a ladder into him against the door. Solo misses a running hip attack and runs into the door.

Solo is thrown outside and locks the door so Boa can't leave. Boa  bulls up the garage door and runs into fire extinguisher spray then they head back to the ring. Boa thrown into chairs in between the buckles then got superkicked. Boa then got samoan dropped on the top of the announcer's table and it didn't budge.

Solo set up a table and put Boa on it. He climbed up to the top rope then did a splash through Boa and won it. The match wasn't anything special and was pretty light, but the finish was cool.

We see Duke Hudson heading to the ring.

Imperium did a promo. Gunther said he took the name from his grandfather, who introduced him to wrestling. They said we would see a new era for Imperium. The name change is really dumb even by WWE standards.

Duke Hudson vs Guru Raaj

Duke nails him quick and then hits mounted punches. Duke hits a jumping side slam then hit a very high razor's edge for the win. The razor's edge looked great here in this short squash.

Dante Chen called out Duke then went to the ring to brawl with him after Duke ruined his match last week. Duke dove at his injured leg and took him down.

Persia Pirotta and Indi Hartwell were interviewed. Persia said she likes Duke's aggressive streak and short hair. Persia said they are on step closer to winning the women's tag titles. Kay Lee Ray then walked in with a baseball bat. She said she would stake her claim to the women's title tonight.

LdF talked in the back. Santos said Bron made a terrible mistake and he will have to fight his two cronies (not him), either 1v2 or with a partner if he can find one. I don't know why Bron would agree to this or do this and it made no sense.

Toxic Attraction vs Persia Pirotta, Indi Hartwell and Kay Lee Ray

Mandy knocked KLR off the apron early. Persia hit a super weak tilt-a-whirl backbreaker for 2. Mandy ran away from KLR and 5 of the 6 argued outside. KLR then went up top and did a flip dive on all 3 opponents. Jane senton'd Indi and Gigi kicked her in the back then did Kawada kicks.

We went to break about a minute later and returned with Toxic Attraction having control over Indi. Jacy hit a spinning forearm then traded forearms with Indi. They both did a face kick at the same time and knocked each other down. Persia came in with the hot tag and release german suplexed Gigi. Jacy then hit a big pumping knee to Persia and KLR superkicked Mandy. KLR grabbed a baseball bat and chased Mandy to the back. Persia ended up getting the win here over Gigi. It wasn't great or anything but it wasn't too bad. At least they followed through with Mandy and KLR.

We got a video on Enofe and Blade. They said they couldn't believe they got this far and Enofe said they should ask out Mandy if they win. They talked about how no one thought they had a chance and Blade said they need to go for the NXT Tag Title after this. Enofe said they need to ask out Toxic Attraction after this. This was not good.

Cora Jade was in the back trying to get Raquel Gonzalez's tag partnership. RG said she needs someone she can trust and someone who can get back up and said Cora is not that person. Cora said she is that person. She said let me prove it to you and tried to hit her but RG stopped it and told her not to push it.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Quarterfinals - The Grizzled Young Veterans vs Andre Chase and Bodhi Haywood

Chase did a kip up and did an arm throw on Drake. The announcers called it a "teachable moment". We got the C-H-A-S-E-U stomp spot which I like. Bodhi did a sunset flip in on Drake for 2. Chase then double axe handled Drake from the top and hit a Dusty Rhodes punch/elbow combo. Gibson tripped Chase then they hit a spike shoulderbreaker on Chase on the floor.

Chase did a nice counter out of a hiptoss into a backslide on Gibson. Chase then did a cool move to get out of Gibson's grip. Bodhi got in and did his running in place splashes then took a double throat chop after a distraction. Drake hit a great dropkick on Chase to knock him off the apron then the GYV's hit a double codebreaker for the win.

This was a fun match with Chase looking great here.

Von Wagner came in and then beat up Bodhi and Chase. Robert Stone then gave him his jacket and appears to be his new manager.

Grayson Waller did a promo with his Indian bodyguard, Sanga, who he said is a big star in Bollywood. He said his star is shining brighter than ever and said Sanga is his secret service. Grayson said he is waiting for LA Knight but said Sanga is going to want to meet him first. There is nothing natural about this combination.

Io Shirai vs Tiffany Stratton

Tiffany did a front cartwheel out of an armlock. She then walked up the buckles and flipped to armdrag Io. Tiff moved out of a charging Io and let her fall outside.

Io hit a flapjack then a running baseball slide to Tiffany's side. Tiff pulled Io down by her hair and cobra clutched her. Tiff did a handspring back elbow on Io for 2. Tiff ate an uppercut then Io hit double running knees into the corner on her. Io then hit a moonsault off the top to win.

This wasn't too bad at all with Tiffany a couple of athletic moves and Io winning in a quick match.

The Diamond Mine were training. Biven's ripped Gunthers name and said he should be named "Dumb@ss". He said the Creed Brothers would win the Dusty Cup and Strong would beat Gunther.  He told Gunther to bring his boys for a 6 man next week. The Creeds said they were a family of world class athletes who will take them down anytime they want and Strong said no one out trains or outworks them. Bivens said "it's Diamond Mine forever".

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams introduced Ollie Jayy. She sang "Make Em Fall". Of course it's rap. It wasn't too bad but she doesn't dance and doesn't have any real charisma.

Tony D promised to bust Grimes' face open and said he had a date with the N-A title.

Tiffany Stratton ran into Wendy Choo in the back. Choo told her not to feel bad for losing and Tiffany knocked away her drink.

Winner gets a North American Title Shot next week - Cameron Grimes vs Tony D'Angelo

Tony got no entrance here. Grimes did a nice kip up into two armdrags. He then threw Tony out and Tony took a weird landing. Trick and Hayes were seen watching. Tony hit a nice belly to belly and some corner spears. Grimes then took a hard ride over the top to the floor.

Grimes then got caught in a backbreaker which looked botched. We went to break and came back with Tony in control. He had a single underhook suplex. Grimes hit some flying forearms and missed something in the corner. Tony then hit a big release german. Grimes reversed a crossbody into a slam. Tony hit a nice capture suplex into the buckles.

Grimes botched a jump to the top but then hit a moonsault from the top. He then hit a nice crossbody from the top for 2. Tony was outside and got hit with a cricket bat in the hand by Pete Dunne(Tony did the same thing to Dunne a few weeks ago). Grimes then did his M. Bison stomp and won it. Grimes had a couple of botches here but this was one of Tony's longest matches yet and he did well here. WWE really dropped the ball on Grimes though.

Bron Breakker was asked about who his partner would be next week. LdF drve in then Tomasso Ciampa came to stand next to Bron. LdF then backed off and Bron and Ciampa bumped fists.

Overall thoughts: I thought it was a good show. Not great, but the main, the women's trios match and Tiffany Stratton's match wasn't bad. Ciampa's return to help out Bron was also good.
