We are in Roanoke, VA. Nigel McGuinness and Tony Schiavone are our hosts. 

The hosts talk about Kenny Omega winning the AEW Title on Dynamite.

Adam Page, who hasn't been around lately, comes out. It says he "recently has a vasectomy" under his graphic. 

Page says he's a gardener and it's his hobby to plant things. He says he has found something therapeutic about planting a seed. He says he wants to plant one more seed tonight. He says he made a stip in his last match where he couldn't challenge for the AEW Title again if he lost and he said he lost. He says it wasn't written in ink, but he will be a man of his word and won't challenge for the AEW Title again.

He talks about maybe challenging for the other AEW titles. He says he doesn't know who he is without the AEW Title and says we will find out. He says he will have to find something else to do and he will.

Thoughts: Stuff like this is why I don't like Page and AEW. This guy is supposed to be a top star in the company and they are talking about gardening and vasectomy's. I don't know who okay'd this or even thought it was a good idea, but these guys are so far removed from what I think wrestling is to the point that I'm embarrassed about liking wrestling. If the wrestlers I grew up watching talked about this when I was a kid, I would have turned the show off and never returned. This was awful.

ROH World Title - Bandido (c) vs Katsuyori Shibata

They get off to a slow start. KS takes him down and chinlocks him.  Band pulls on the leg and KS leglocks him. KS boots him in the gut and elbows him in the back of the neck. They trade corner facekicks. KS knees him in the gut and kicks him in the back for 2.

Band top rope crossbodies him. Band is nearly sent into the ref then KS low blows him. Band is straddled on the top rope and KS boots him down. We go to PiP break and return. KS hits forearms and Band forearms back. KS urakens him and both men go down. 

KS ddt's him on the apron and suplexes him on the floor. They trade chops. Band superkicks him twice. Band gorilla press slams him. Band top rope ssp's him for 2. KS corner dropkicks him and suplexes him for 2. Band hits a reverse GTS. 

KS blocks a 21plex and backrolls him for 2. KS PK's him. Band hurricanrana's him for 2. They lariat each other. They run at each other and KS lariats him. Band koppo kicks him. Band blocks a low blow and la magistral's him to win.

Thoughts: It was average. These two aren't the greatest match on paper. KS didn't do a lot but chops and forearms and Band didn't get to do a ton of flying here. Band won as expected. I'm not really sure why we needed to see this. 

Renee interviews Hikaru Shida and Harley Cameron. Harley says all her recent issues started with Shida. Shida says she's the TBS champ and did it by herself. She says Harley is not in her league. Harley says Shida was gone for a long time and a lot happened. She says she has not been stopped and fought through a lot and why does Shida think she can stop her? She says it's because TBS stands for "The Best is Shida".

Mike Bailey is interviewed. He  says it was a mistake to let Don Callis get in his head. He says he will beat Mark Davis, show Kevin Knight you don't need shortcuts and walk into AEW Redemption as National champ.

AEW TBS Title - Hikaru Shida (c) vs Harley Cameron

Shida runs at her and attacks her before the bell. Shida boots her and suplexes her for 2. HC's face is banged off the mat. Shida spinning waistlock drops her. HC high kicks her from the apron. They goof around on the apron and HC hits soul foot on her there. HC dropkicks her through the ropes.

HC ddt's her on the floor. Shida eye pokes her and backbreakers her. HC hangs off the ramp and Shida running knees her. We go to PiP break, full break and return. HC neckbreakers her. 

HC high kicks her from behind then hits mounted corner punches. HC flying neckbreakers her and leg lariats her for 2. Shida bites her and step up enzugiri's her. HC bites Shida's knee. Shida pumping knees her then HC falcon arrows her for 2. HC half-crabs her and Shida ropebreaks.

HC high kicks her and Shida flying knees her for 2. Shida hits a bad falcon arrow for 2. Shida does a cut-throat bow and arrow submission and submits HC.

Thoughts: I liked it. HC isn't exactly going to be Billy Robinson, but she seems to get the idea of what she is supposed to do as a face and her personality helps put it over the top. Shida could have been a little better here as some of her stuff didn't connect, but I was fine with this one. 

Shida pounds on her after. Queen Aminata comes down and stops it.

The Lethal Twist are interviewed. Matt Sydal interrupts. Matt says it would be a mistake to join The Demand. The Demand walk in. Ricochet says he and Matt were once NJPW tag champs but Matt fell off. Ric says Matt wants to say The Twist can't trust him, but he says he will show him why he moved on from him. Ric asks if he wants to say anything else and Matt says, "you're bald".

Doyle, Davis, Cage and Baretta of The Don Callis Family talk. They welcome Kyle Fletcher in. Kyle says it feels right to be standing here as champ again. He brings up Takeshita and says if you need to know who the alpha is, come find him. Kyle then talks about his partners upcoming matches. Matt says Cage has a match with Zach Wentz tonight. Trent complains about Darby using explosives on Cage. He says Darby isn't here and he fears Trent Baretta. Kyle says The Family runs AEW.

We see clips from last night's unaired AEW Brawl in the Ballpark event. 

The Conglomeration of Orange Cassidy, Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong come out. OC says Brawl in the Ballpark was cool. OC says they are still AEW Trios champs and says Willow Nightingale also wants to be a champ. 

Willow comes out. She says she had to drop her TBS Title and had to drop out of The Owen due to a shoulder injury. She says if you think she was sitting at home crying about it, you don't know her. She says she was at home, working on getting better, stronger and more focused. She talks about the casino gauntlet being a good place to return and says Thekla and Mone both attacked her. She says both made a terrible mistake and took her smile as a weakness. 

She says nothing will stop her at Redemption. She says she's walking in the #1 contender and is walking out the AEW Women's champ. She says she will face Thekla at Redemption and Mone at All In. 

Skye Blue does a video. She says Willow will see how they operate soon. She tells Kross and Bayne to keep doing what they are doing and says being tall doesn't hold a torch to being a violent little thing. 

The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta) vs AR Fox, Komander and Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin)

DG takes Darius down and kicks dust at him. Darius then takes him down and does DG's dance at him. Darius takes him down by the wrist. DG pulls his hair. Darius is shouldered over. Darius dropkicks him. Darius euros DG.

Darius atomic drops DG and Dante bulldogs DG onto Darius' knee. Dante standing moonsaults DG. AR twisting suplexes DG for 2. Mox hammerlocks AR on the mat. Kom rope walks, flips, rolls and CC just boots him. Kom springboards and is caught with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Kom pump kicks Yuta, walks up the buckles and enzugiri's CC. Yuta pounds on Kom.

Kom walks up the buckles and diving headscissors CC outside. Kom springboard crossbodies Yuta. Kom tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Yuta. Everyone fights. We go to PiP break and return.

Yuta takes Dante down and stomps him. Dante is thrown out and stomped by the heels. Darius topes the heels outside. Kom rope walks and corkscrew dives on the heels outside. AR swantons off the top inside on the heels. AR skins the cat, does a dropkick then backrolls and hits cutters on 2 of the heels. AR suicide dives out then tope con hilos out. AR top rope swantons and DG gets his knees up. CC giant swings AR.

We get some quick action. Mox bites Dante and they blow a spot. Dante topes Mox outside. Dante is stomped on by the heels. Kom fights off Yuta and DG. Kom is double pop up dropped and double basement dropkicked. AR top rope swantons Yuta and DG for 2. 

AR takes running corner attacks. DG sharpshooters AR and Mox cubstomps AR. DG pins AR.

Thoughts: The Death Riders won as expected and the only question was how long it would take. The faces flew around and they kept it moving. It was okay enough, though I do have questions if the legal man at various times was correct or not.

Mox gets on the mic after. He says that was too easy and we are live on Saturday night. Mox says it's humid and says they don't believe in high altitude - it's made up by people who are out of shape. Mox asks who thinks they can beat them or Ospreay at Wembley. Mox says they sharpened the weapons tonight and it's a way of life - it's The Death Riders vs The World.

Megan Bayne and Lena Kross do a promo. They say they are the disgusted by the Women's Tag division. She says The Sisters of Stupid swing weapons like they are hardcore. Lena says Hart and Skye are not violent things and they should keep holding Thekla's bags, as they will not hold the tag titles.

Thekla does a video. Thek says she only trusts Hart and Skye and says everyone is an enemy now. She says you know what she does to presidents so you know what she will do to CEO's. She says maybe Willow was never champ as she pretends to be a baby while she's a woman. She tells Willow to keep doing her motivational videos as the only thing that's better than a dumb b!tch is a happy one.

The Bang Bang Gang do a video playing with dogs. They are at the dog adoption center to give 2 dogs a loving home. They say they will euthanize The Dogs and stick them in a pile of their own feces. 

Brian Cage vs Zachary Wentz

Cage has his head taped up from Darby's exploding skateboard.

Zach avoids lariats and is thrown in the corner. Cage lariats him there. Cage is sent to the apron and Zach handspring kicks him off of it. Zach's tope is caught. Zach kicks him from the apron and 2nd rope moonsaults him outside. 

Cage backdrops Zach on the apron. Zach is sent into the steps. Cage 2nd rope deadlift superplexes him. We go to PiP break, full break and return. Zach hits a top rope dropkick. Zach hits kicks and double stomps Cage's back. Zach handspring jumping knees him. 

Zach high kicks and superkicks Cage. Zack 2nd rope corkscrew cutters Cage for 2. Cage spinning lariats Zach. Cage 2nd rope deadlift germans him. Cage hits a drill claw and pins him.

Thoughts: I was fine with this. They did what they were supposed to. Zach flew around and Cage muscled him around. It ended at the right time and was a nice tv match.

Trent Baretta says he challenged Darby Allin to a match but he's not even in the stage. Trent tells the ref to come in and raise his hand. The ref does. Darby Allin then comes out.

Darby Allin vs Trent Baretta

DA shotgun dropkicks him before the bell. DA low topes him and sends him into the rails. DA running euros him against the rails. Cage distracts DA and Trent double throat thrusts DA. DA is sent into the rails. Trent misses a charge and goes into the rails.

DA goes up top and Cage distracts him. DA is swept on the ropes and flips on the landing onto the floor. DA hits shots on him. Trent back body drops him and flips him from it. Trent flying knees him for 2. DA headbutts Trent on the buckles. DA top rope coffin drops Cage outside. Trent double foot presses DA in the double down. Trent hits a b-driver on DA on the apron for 2. DA 2nd rope code red's him for 2. DA top rope coffin drops him and pins him.

Thoughts: It started out okay then they went too far with it and stopped selling. I ended up not liking it. That sweep on the ropes that Darby took was real dangerous and I didn't like the b-driver on the apron not meaning anything. Darby won as expected.

Cage grabs Darby and triple powerbombs him after. Mark Davis runs down. Mike Bailey comes out with a chair and the heels exit.

Willow Nightingale does a promo. She says she doesn't want to wait until All In. She invites Maya World in. She says Maya deserves another shot at beating Mercedes Mone. Willow wants to do a 6-man tag with Mone/Divine Dominion and Hyan/Willow/Maya. Maya wants the first tile shot after Willow beats Thekla.

Andrade el Idolo is on a boat with a girl. He says he has come to AEW to become a champ. He says he wants to be a world champ but doesn't need Don Callis for it. 

AEW National Title - Mark Davis (c) vs Mike Bailey

 

Kyle Fletcher is on commentary for this. 

Mike hits chops and side headlocks him. Mark shoulders him over. Mike armbars him and triangles him. Mike legsweeps him then hits mounted shots. Mike hits kicks on Mark. Mark flapjacks him on the ropes, slams him and sentons him. Mark boots him while he's down.

Mark bites Mike toes. Mark oklahoma stampede's him. Mark misses a senton and a corner charge. Mike enzugiri's him from the apron and top rope dropkicks Mark over. Mike hits hard kicks to the chest.

Mike corner facekicks him and enzugiri's him on the top rope. Mike hurricanrana's him down from the buckles. Mike triangle asai moonsaults him outside. 

They get on the commentary table. Mark piledrivers him on the table. We go to PiP break and return. Mark pulls Mike off the ropes and Mike hurricanrana's him. Mike PK's him. Mike upkicks him and spinning roundhouse kicks him. 

Mike hits chest kicks. Mark gamengiri's him and rubs his forearm in his face. Mike standing moonsault double knee drops Mark's back. Mike does an SSP senton (He over-rotated the ssp into a senton). 

Doyle comes out and distracts Mike. Mark lariats Mike down. Mark does a new straightjacket bull's poseidon on Mike. Mike rolls Mark up for 2. Mike spinning roundhouse kicks Mark then sunset flips him for 2. Mike spinning roundhouse kicks Mark for 2. Mike spinning high kicks him. Mike misses a 2nd rope ultimate weapon. Mark sliding forearm's him. 

They fight on the apron. Mike legsweeps him there. Mike misses an apron moonsault double knee drop. Mark hits a nasty standing falcon arrow on the apron on Mike. Mike sunset flips him out of a running lariat for 2. Mark lariats him then gutwrench short piledrivers him for the win.

Thoughts: I didn't like it. They busted out some very crazy stuff towards the end and none of it meant a single thing. It was just people spamming dangerous moves and I'm not sure if Mike will come out of this one uninjured. Mike busted out a new ssp senton here and Mark did a new straightjacket bull's poseidon. This just got too far out of control.

Overall thoughts: It had the usual random matches but they did try a little more here than usual. Lots of stars were missing like usual but at least Darby and Mox wrestled and Adam Page showed up. Page's promo was horrible. Bandido/Shibata was average. I liked Harley/Shida. The Death Riders' tag was fine as was Cage/Wentz. They did too much in the semi main and did way too much in the main with even piledrivers on the commentary table not meaning much. I'd pick Harley/Shida as the best match though the main was obviously the most wild. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall as it was alright enough.
