WWE NXT 11/25/2025 Gold Rush 2025 Week 2

We are in New York City. Vic Joseph, Peter Rosenberg and Booker T are on commentary. 

We see various wrestlers arrive. 

WWE Evolve Title - Jackson Drake (c) vs "Super" Sean Legacy

Drake has Swipe Right with him. They slap each other to start and got to the mat. Sean kips up and is wristlocked. He headflips out and atomic drops Drake twice. Sean hits kicks and standing moonsaults him. Sean hits chops and bangs Drake's head off the apron. Sean is distracted by the heels and hit from behind. 

Drake is backdropped on the apron. Sean dropkicks him in the knee, double stomps his back and dropkicks him. Drake suplexes Sean into the buckles. We go to break and return. 

Sean hits punches and Drake flying single leg dropkicks him in the corner. They trade chest kicks for chops. Sean hits a bunch of chops. Drake jawbreakers him and Sean dropkicks him off a legsweep attempt. Sean germans him.

Sean springboard dropkicks him. Sean tope con hilos Vanity Project outside. Sean 2nd rope moonsaults into an elevated sitout reverse ddt for 2. Sean does a springboard 450 but Drake gets his knees up. Drake PK's him then standing moonsault double knees him for 2. Drake topes him outside.

Drake goes up top and Sean does like a moonsault exploder for 2. Sean clubs Drake's back. Sean fireman's carry gutbusters him. Sean is laid over the top rope and Drake top rope diving knees him. Drake low diving knees him in the face and wins.

Thoughts: It was a fast paced match with a lot of moves and not so much selling as usual with these two. The moonsault exploder should have finished it. It was an indy style match and there was no reason to expect Drake to lose here.

Ethan Page talks to Sol Ruca in the back. He says she'd be N-A champ if she stopped worrying about Zaria. Page says she should be playing 2nd to nobody. He says don't go out to Zaria's match and says only worry about herself. Myles Borne comes in. He and Page argue. Borne says he's locked in tonight. Page says Trick does things the right way and focuses on himself. He says Borne is focused on others and it means he won't have to focus on him.

WWE Women's Speed Title Tournament Final Match - Fallon Henley  vs. Zaria

Fallon has Fatal Influence with her and Zaria is out alone. They lock up and Fallon rolls her over. Fallon gets on her back with a sleeper. Zar rams her into the buckles. Fallon sunset flips her for 2. They trade shots. Zar slingshot sunset flips her. Fallon crucifixes her. Zar blocks a sunset flip by sitting down on her. Fallon rolls her up for 2 and crossbodies her for 2. 

Zar superkicks and chops her. Zar corner splashes her and suplexes her for 2. Zar does a texas cloverleaf. Zar boots her out of the corner. Zar hanging sleepers her in the corner. They go out of the ring. Zar drops her face first on the apron.

Zar drops Lainey Reid outside and Fallon wraparound kicks her around the post. Zar goes for an F-5 inside and is hit with a ddt for 2. The 5 minute time limit then expires.

Ava comes out and says this is not how this will end. She says there needs to be a new Women's Speed champ. She says the match now moves to sudden death and the first pinfall wins.

Fallon hits forearms on Zar. Fallon is thrown out. We go to break and return. Zar is pulled off the buckles for 2. They trade shots. Fallon does a rings of saturn. Zar's head is banged off the buckles. Fallon is thrown off the 2nd rope. Zar running lariats her and pump kicks her. Zar headbutts her and overhead suplexes her. Fallon rolls her up for 2. Zar spears her and Fallon rolls out.

Lainey Reid saves Fallon and Zar goes into the steps. Fallon kicks her in the head and fameassers her for the win.

Thoughts: This was without question the longest Speed match to date and answered the question of what happens when a vacant Speed title match goes to a draw. I couldn't really get into this match though. Zar didn't quite throw Fallon around that much and Fallon's not one of the roster's better workers.

We get a Shiloh Hill video. He says he was a fan since he was 6 years old and broke his dad's nose when they were doing wrestling. He said his dad gave him a wrestling shirt and WWE noticed it as he wore it to games. He says he has worked every job. He talks about his tooth getting knocked out in training when he started WWE. He said it adds to his character and makes him look tough. He says it reminds him of his friends in the woods and says he forgot his bolt cutters. He says he will see us soon.

John Cena announces  the wrestlers in the Iron Survivor Challenge. He picks Leon Slater, Je'Von Evans, Joe Hendry and Dion Lennox. He says the last spot goes to the winner of Borne/Trick tonight.

Izzi Dame does a video. She said she told Tatum not every voice in her head is worth listening to and it lead to her downfall. She says she'll explain everything next week and it is what it is.

TNA Knockouts World Title - Kelani Jordan (c) vs. Jordynne Grace vs. Lei Ying Lee

Carlos Silva and Tommy Dreamer are there though they only have a graphic for Silva for some reason. Booker had to point out Dreamer.

KJ slides out and Lei rolls up JG. KJ forearms Lei down. JG hits mounted shots on KJ. Lei hits kicks on JG. KJ gets on JG's back with a sleeper then Lei blockbusters KJ while she's on JG's back. 

Lei legsweeps JG then knees her in the face. Lei hits mounted corner shots on JG. Lei is pushed off the top to the floor by KJ. JG hits forearms and chops on KJ. KJ goes face first into the 2nd buckle and JG meteora's her from behind. JG running back elbows her from behind. JG vader bombs her for 2.

Lei hits shotei's on JG. KJ double stomps Lei's back while she's on JG. Lei trips JG from the outside. KJ sitout ddt's JG for 2. KJ legdrops JG's neck over the 2nd rope. KJ asai moonsaults her opponents outside.
We go to break and return. KJ top rope splashes JG for 2. Lei hits chest forearms on JG in the corner. JG has KJ in the samoan drop and Lei 2nd rope dropkicks JG for 2. JG knees Lei in the gut. JG suplexes both opponents over for a 2 count on Lei. Lei and JG trade shots on the 2nd rope. Lei is brought down.

KJ does a top rope spanish fly on JG for 2. Lei takes down KJ with a single leg crab. JG powerbombs Lei for 2 then powerbombs KJ for 2. JG hangs on the ropes and KJ pulls her down hard, making her splat on the floor. KJ misses a 450 off the top. Lei spinning roundhouse kicks KJ.

KJ rolls up Grace for 2 then uraken's her. JG spinning torture rack bombs KJ for 2. Lei breaks it up with a corkscrew kick and pins KJ.

Thoughts: Lei winning was a big surprise here. I have no idea why they did that here but it's something TNA would do. They had a few sloppy moments as usual and I thought it was about average. JG got dropkicked hard from the 2nd rope and JG almost got killed on a top rope spanish fly.

Fatal Influence talk in the back. They say it's 2 down, 1 to go and Lainey is up next to win the Evolve Title. Jacy tells her to go take it from Kendal Grey tonight. Ava comes in. She says they interfered last week and tonight so they are banned from ringside for Reid's match.

We get a sitdown interview with Ricky Saints and Sarah Schreiber. He says all eyes are on him. He says everyone doubts how long he will be champ. He is asked how he will beat Oba Femi again and he says he doesn't know. He says his journey will be for naught if he can't beat Oba. He says pressure is his ally. He says he can use it to his benefit. He says if he can't beat Oba, who can? He says he is Ricky Saints and he is the NXT champ.

WWE Evolve Women's Title - Kendal Grey (c) vs Lainey Reid

KG takes her down and pounds on her. KG waistlock takedowns her then rolling armbars her. LR euros and boots her in the corner. KG's head is banged off the buckles and LR pounds on her in the corner.

KG boots LR in the corner. KG trips her and basement dropkicks her. KG front facelocks her. KG is on the apron, LR sweeps her down, dropping her face first on the steps. We go to break and return.

KG is sat up top. They fight up there. KG top rope moonsaults her. KG hits back elbows and overhead belly to belly suplexes her. KG trips her and has her head banged into the mat. LR hits a blue thunder for 2. LR runs into a gutwrench powerslam then KG goes for the rmbar. Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley come down despite not being allowed. Fallon is hit by Wren Sinclair. Jacy knocks Wren off the apron and Charlie Dempsey catches her. KG superkicks Jacy. 

The ref ejects all the second's. LR backrolls KG for 2 and superkicks her. LR goes up top and KG 2nd rope release germans her. KG pulls down her straps and jumping flatliners her for the win.

Thoughts: KG busted out some new stuff here. Action wise it was alright but there was no great story beyond heel vs face work. I'm not sure why the heels were allowed out here when Ava banned them from ringside. There better be a punishment for that.

Darkstate talk in the back. Dion is happy about being put in the Iron Survivor Challenge. He says he wants to seek out some singles gold for Darkstate. He says when they strike, nobody is safe.

John Cena announces the girls for the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge. He picks Sol Ruca, Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan, Jordynne Grace and Kendal Grey.

Thoughts: Those aren't the best picks possible for that one though Sol and Kelani should be fine. I'm interested to see what Kendal does in this.

Iron Survivor Challenge Qualifying Match - Trick Williams vs. Myles Borne

Trick flying lariats MB. He stomps him. MB sunset flips him for 2. MB dropkicks Trick for 2. Trick throws MB down backwards. Trick suplexes MB for 2. MB hits a zig zag for 2. We go to break and return.

Trick hits mounted forearm shots. Trick flapjacks him for 2. Trick chops him in the corner. MB hits euros in the corner. Trick slams him. MB rolls him up for 2. Trick hits an AA on him. Trick runs at him and is powerslammed for 2. 

MB hits punches and lariats him. MB dropkicks him then atomic drops him. MB final cuts him for 2. We see Hendry, Evans and Leon watching in the back. MB hits euros on Trick. Trick hits book end. Trick up kicks him then pump kicks him. They neckbreaker each other at the same time.

Trick pop-up uppercuts MB. MB germans him. Trick blocks a zig zag. MB is back body dropped out. Trick corkscrew kicks him on the floor. Trick misses a knee and goes into the steps. MB hits a zig zag on the floor. MB hits a zig zag inside and pins him.

Thoughts: I was surprised to see Myles win here. It wasn't the most dramatic ending and I thought the win fell a little short unfortunately. This was all action for the most part but there wasn't a lot of story. Borne is now using Dolph Ziggler's zig zag as a finisher. This was okay but it didn't get over as much as it was supposed to and would have been better suited for a PLE.

The lights go out and Darkstate head down to to the ring. Hendry, Evans and Leon come out to help and the 2 sides face off. 

Overall thoughts: It was a heavy wrestling show here with a lot of up and coming developmental talents and unfortunately, it meant the quality wasn't the best. I didn't love anything here and the main and semi-main were just okay. I didn't like the first two matches that much. Myles got a big win in the main but it didn't work like it should have and I don't love Trick losing again. I was also surprised Oba Femi wasn't here. I would give this one a 5 out of 10 total and I thought it was only average. It was definitely not the usual weekly NXT show.
