Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/11/wwe-evolve-11122025.html

Andrenaline Drip (Cappuccino Jones and Jack Cartwheel) vs Harley Riggns and Jax Presley

Har throws Jack in from the apron by the head. CJ hits mounted shots on Har then is powerbombed down by Jax. CJ takes a double chokeslam for 2. Jack loses his shoe and hits Jax with it. CJ topes Jax outside. CJ's springboard is caught. He flips out of a chokeslam. CJ hits a big shot on Har. Jack is knocked off the top when CJ is thrown into him.
Jack is thrown up into a spear from Har. Jack is then pinned.
Thoughts: It was a good match. The faces did a lot of flying and the heels swatted them down and threw them around. It was all action here with a lot of nice highlights. You gotta give to the heels for being able to do this with so few matches in, though the faces did do the hard work here.
Jack is then popped up into another spear.
We see clips of Kendal Grey vs Lash Legend from NXT.
Haze Jameson vs PJ Vasa
Haze is already fired so I'm surprised to see her here. Haze does an inset promo. She says she's the wild child and says you may know her from Season 2 of LFG. She says you are invited to watch her bring the party to Evolve. She says once she starts slamming them, there's nothing that can put her down.
This is PJ Vasa's first Evolve match. They lock up. PJ forearms her in the corner then throws her by the hair. She bangs Haze's head off the mat and hits big shots in the corner. Haze double boots her out of the corner then PJ bodyblocks her. Haze dropkicks her twice then once in the knee. Haze short ddt's her for 2.
Haze jumps on PJ's back. PJ no sells it and throws her over. PJ falling headbutt's her. PJ fireman's carries her into a powerslam and pins her.
Thoughts: It was a shorter one with PJ winning as expected. She didn't quite run over Haze like she should have. I thought Haze was okay as the smaller girl here.
Chuey Martinez interviews PJ at ringside. She says she makes an impact everywhere she goes. She says she dominated LFG and in two weeks, she's dominating Evolve. She says everyone's gotta come get their issue.
Jackson Drake talks to Stevie Turner. He says he has to question her leadership. Stevie says she knew Drake put a target on Keanu's back and got him injured. She says Drake still has a match against him and he's still the #1 contender. Drake says Keanu has a record of injury opponents. Keanu then comes in and punches a hole in the wall. Stevie says he has his match and tells him not to make her change her mind.
Mike Cunningham talks to Sean Legacy in the locker room. Sean welcomes him. Mike says he has a lot thrown at him but he's excited. He says he needs to show Brooks why he's the main man. Sean then talks to Marcus Mathers. He says he lost last week and let himself down. He says the new ID guys are coming in and it puts a lot of pressure on him. He says the spots are getting smaller and last week shook him up. Sean says he has to step up and says he himself is facing Eli Knight next week. Marcus says they have targets on their backs as WWE ID guys. Sean says he has business to take care of.
Brooks Jensen vs Mike Cunningham
This is Mike's WWE TV debut.
BJ trips Mike then struts. Mike waistlocks him and is taken over. BJ armlocks him. Mike hits armdrags and then does an armlock. BJ headscissors him on the mat. Mike armlocks him. BJ slams him. Mike upkicks him and BJ knees him in the gut.
Mike goes up and over. BJ shoulders him over. Mike hits a nice dropkick for 2. BJ swats a dropkick away then neckbreakers him. BJ punches him down. BJ neckbreakers him.
Mike is sent into the buckles and goes down. BJ double throat thrusts him. BJ hits a russian legsweep for 2. BJ is rammed into the buckles face first. BJ backrolls him for 2 and is pushed into the buckles face first.
Mike hits punches on BJ and drops hm. Mike lariats him over then flying lariats him. Mike top rope dropkicks him for 2. BJ backrolls him for 2 then Mike reverses it for 2. Mike springboards and is hit with a spinning heel kick. BJ then pins him.
Thoughts: Mike is a smaller guy that makes BJ look like a giant. Mike is definitely still green and has pretty generic offense. He really came off like a 1990's rookie here. But he didn't botch anything, he did what he was supposed to and he was fine. He's definitely more of a longer term project. There was nothing wrong with this one at all and it was better than I expected.
We get another video on Aaron Rourke.
We get a video on Kali Armstrong. She says she will keep coming back as she's the difference maker and they say she will return next week.
Jackson Drake talks to Stevie Turner in the back. Drake says he shouldn't have to face Keanu Carver. He asks how long will she suspend Keanu. Stevie says she won't and says he had won a #1 contender's match. Drake says his buddies broke his hand, not him. Stevie mocks him. Stevie says he either defends his title vs Keanu or he gives her the title right now. Drake asks if she's willing to let the greatest Evolve champ walk away from all this right now. Stevie says to face Keanu or vacate the title. Drake says he chooses to bite his tongue. Stevie says that's a first.
Chantel Monroe vs Wendy Choo
CM snapmares her and laughs at her. She then poses on the top rope. Choo snapmares her then stares at her. CM boots her in the gut and double knuckle locks her. Choo monkey flips her then tries a pin off of it.
Choo armlocks her. CM headscissors her. Choo handstands out of a headscissors and side headlocks her. Choo shoulders her over then armdrag rolls her into a pin attempt. Choo bends over and is kicked. CM hits boots in the corner.
Choo hits forearms to the chest. Choo twists her head with her feet. Choo cartwheel forearms her in the corner and running facekicks her in the corner. Choo low flatliners her. CM neckbreakers her over the middle rope.
We go to break and return. CM half-straightjacket neckbreakers her. CM punks on Choo's hair. CM running meteora's her. CM headscissors her on the mat. They double clothesline each other.
They boot each other in the gut. Choo chops her and hits lariats. Choo spinebusters her for 2. They trade pin attempts. Choo suplexes her for 2. Choo uppercuts her. CM tornado reverse ddt's her for 2. CM boots her out of the corner then Choo goes for the dirtnap. CM turns it into a pin attempt and high kicks her. CM hits a high angle TKO then misses a running ssp. Choo does her dirtnap then CM spinning codebreakers her for the win.
Thoughts: It got a lot of time. I didn't think it was great but they built it to be a good match. It was alright enough but needed more of a story and more logic. This is one of the biggest wins of CM's career so far.
CM calls Choo a freak and says to get the freak out of her ring.
Jackson Drake talks to Stevie Turner in the back. He says what Stevie did is super not cool. He says no one else can carry the ball. He says someone has to put Keanu down and tells Stevie to make the match.
Drake vs Keanu for the Evolve Title is next week.
Overall thoughts: The show is still a bit weird as multiple people on this are already fired and will not be seen going forward. It's just something that sits in the back of your head and makes you wonder how things will play out.
The opener was good as expected. Haze/Vasa was a shorter match and Vasa didn't quite run over her as much as I thought she would. Jensen/Cunningham was fine but Mike is definitely a longer term prospect as he's still wrestling like a rookie. The main got a lot of time and it was okay but maybe not as great as it was supposed to be. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as the show was fine and had some okay wrestling on it.

Harley Riggins and Jax Presley are pretty good for how new they are. Definitely see a lot of potential in them.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely. They are doing well for their experience level.
