MLW Fusion #124 3/10/2021

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2021/03/mlw-fusion-episode-123-332021.html

Alicia Atout interviewed Calvin Tankman. He said he did what nobody thought he could do - go toe to toe with Fatu. He said it's on now and he can't let his family or fans down. Injustice came in and put over Tankman and invited him to smoke with them.

Gringo Loco vs Gino Medina

Medina is the son of El Sanguinario, who was in Los Gringos Locos. The announcers never explain this though for some reason. Loco hits an armdrag and they both flip into a face off. Loco pulls Medina down by the hair and superkicks him out of the ring.

Gringo then does a step-up flip dive onto Gino. Loco does a springboard and gets caught with a back cracker. Gino bodyscissors Loco and then slingshot senton's him for 2. They fight up top, Loco knocks him off then does a double springboard moonsault in a cool spot. Loco hits a reverse ddt for 2.

Loco slipped on a springboard and was spin kicked in the face.  Gino went up top again and was caught with a top rope spanish fly for only 2. Loco gets dropped onto the middle rope then Gino hit a brazilian kick for the win.

The spanish fly really should have ended this. Gino didn't really show too much here and it went longer than it needed to.

Gino Medina then did a promo after. He says he is in a league of home and calls Richard Holliday, "Little Dick". He said Holliday's going to get his @ss beat for talking crap, then says he will see Holliday later.

Tom Lawlor does a promo. He said the Von Erich's are getting away with what they did on the Filthy Island show. He said he will be suing them and said he would be watching closely when ACH goes against Kevin Ku. He said Ku will kick ACH's head off his shoulders.

We do the PWI Top 5 Middleweight rankings. Laredo Kid is at #1 behind the Middleweight champ, Lio Rush.

Alicia Atout found an open contract from Lio Rush that was posted on the wall. She said she will keep us up to date.

Kevin Ku with Dominic Garrini vs ACH

Ku spears ACH's injured ribs early and stomps him. Ku gutwrench suplexes him and headbutts the ribs. The announcer St. Laurent asks an unknown person for a picture of a masked man off-camera. Ku tears off some of the rib tape and punches him a few times in it. Ku does some leg kicks and kicks ACH hard in the head.

Ku misses and ACH double stomps his back. They both try to suplex each other and ACH hits a gordbuster then a superkick. Ku hits an alphamare waterslide and is bleeding from the mouth. Ku then hits a uranage into a backbreaker over the knee for 2.

Garrini pulls ACH down off the apron and pounds him then The Von Erich's come out and stop him. Ku gets thrown outside then ACH dives on Garrini and Ku. Back in and ACH hits a superkick and a brainbuster to win.

It got off to a good start then slowed down a little when ACH was on offense and was just so-so overall. Then the shenanigans outside didn't really do much to imporve the match. Tom Lawlor came down after the match ended, but I don't know why it took him so long.

Rich Boccini on commentary says a strange looking man is hovering arounf with Salina de la Renta. They ask him to play a video which has Mil Muertes beating up people.

Alex Hammerstone and Richard Holliday are interviewed by Alicia Atout. They are asked about Mil Muertes. Hammer says he is billed as a beast and a monster, but all beasts and monsters end up falling to him. Hammer says LA Park is aging then Salina de la Renta interrupts. Hammerstone said even if he isn't 100%, he will take on anyone and calls Park a fat bag of bones.

Injustice does a promo. They said they are coming for Los Parks' tag team belts. They said they respect them but not Contra Unit.

Alicia Atout shows us that the open contract has been taken and she will try to find out who took it.

We get a package on Calvin Tankman that Contra interrupts. Daivari talks in another language. Fatu calls him a b*tch and says he's going to "dogwalk" his @ss all over MLW and calls them "punk @ss b!tches".

We get a Never Say Never Control Center, which is MLW's next big show. Calvin Tankman vs Jacob Fatu will fight for the MLW World Title at it.

We are told the locker room and building has been locked down as they try to find the masked man.

MLW National Openweight Championship - Alex Hammerstone vs LA Park with Salina de la Renta

Park feels up Alex's muscles to start and then pushes him. Hammer hits a dropkick and Salina gets on the apron to distract the ref. Hijo de LA Park and LA Park Jr. come out. Park Sr. distracts the ref and the Park's beat up on him outside. Not liking Hammer's chances here.

One of Park's kids puts on Hammer's sunglasses and poses with it as Park chokes Hammer in the corner. Park takes off his belt and whips Hammer with it. St. Laurent and Rich argue over the legality of it. We are told that the guy with de la Renta is an associate of Azteca Underground watching over their investments.

Hammer superplexes Park off the top for 2. Park beats up Hammerstone a little on the outside and Park's kids mess with Hammer out there. Hammer hits a missile dropkick. They run the ropes and Hammer hits a clothesline then does a wrist clutch suplex on him for 2. We are told Holliday and Gino Medina fought in the back with Holliday getting kicked out of the building.

Park spears the ring post. Hammer goes for something but Park's kids distract him. Park Sr. then ddt's Hammer. Park charges in but gets caught and release german suplexed. Hammer then forearms him in the back of the head to win.

Mil Muertes then comes in and hits a big spear on Hammer, then pounds on him. Mil hits Hammer in the head with his Openweight title and pounds on him more. Mil throws a ref outside and the other officials run. Mil then gives Salina the title and she poses with it, seemingly stealing it.

There was a lot of shenanigans on the outside with Park's crew and I'm really shocked this ended up being a clean win for Hammer. The match wasn't anything special. It was a little slow and all the interference made it hard for getting any kind of pace going.

Overall thoughts: This wasn't anything too special but at least the 3 matches they did had enough time.
