Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/tna-impact-942025.html

I missed the first few minutes.

Trick shoulders over SM and SM back elbows him. SM bangs Trick's head off of his knee and lariats him. Mike hits punches on AJ. AJ misses a corner splash and takes chops. Mike flying forearms AJ in the corner. Mike lariats AJ over the top. Mike then tope con hilos the heels outside.

Mike hits slaps on AJ. Mike tornado ddt's him for 2. Mike backrolls and is hit in the back. Trick suplexes him. Trick hits punches on Mike and foot chokes him. Mike hits corner spears on Trick. SM gets in. SM hits punches on AJ then flying knees him. We go to break and return.

SM back elbows and olympic slams AJ. AJ corner slams SM then chokes him on the ropes. AJ corner splashes him then hits Tennessee whiskey. Trick flapjacks SM then dropkicks him. AJ elbow drops SM then does an arm and chinlock. AJ pop-up forearms SM.

SM 2nd rope dropkicks him. Mike comes in and hits lariats on Trick. Mike flying lariats him. Mike enzugiri's Trick.Mike backrolls into a cutter on him for 2. Mike death valley drivers Trick for 2. Trick pump kicks AJ on accident then SM topes AJ. Mike then rolls up Trick and wins.

Thoughts:
It was alright. There was nothing to write home about but also nothing wrong with it. I'm surprised they had this in the opener instead of the main.

Trick shoves Mike after and they fight on the mat.

Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater are interviewed. Ced says Leon gained his respect and says he wants to show they can be tag champs. Leon says he is where he is because of The Hardy's.

Eric Young vs Myron Reed

EY knees him in the gut. Reed kips down, kips up and enzugiri's him. Reed slingshot codebreakers him out of the ring. Reed suicide dives him. Reed hits forearms on EY. EY rakes Reed's eyes then death valley bombs him for 2. Someone in a mask has a sign that says, "The cleanse is coming". EY cranks Reed's head.

EY back elbows Reed. Reed stunners him. EY slams him then misses a 2nd rope moonsault. Reed guillotine legdrops EY over the 2nd rope. Reed superkicks him. Reed does a bridging ddt on the ropes with an F-5 lift. EY hangs from the top rope and Reed slingshot legdrops him for 2. EY powerslmas him for 2. EY threatens the ref. Zach Wentz tries to stop him. EY low blows Reed then hits a nasty looking piledriver for the win.

Thoughts: The finish wasn't the best the match was alright. The two matched up alright and did an okay job with this. Reed took a nasty looking piledriver.

Dani Luna says maybe or maybe not when it comes to doing the right thing last week. She said she gave everything to Spitfire and says Indi Hartweel took her turn when she was close. She says maybe trying just isn't good enough. She says she's done being quiet and done being in second.

The Elegance Brand are in the back. Ash is happy about winning the Knockouts Title. She says she saved TNA. Ash says they have officially entered The Elegance Era. She says she wants a celebration next week.

Fatal Influence (Jazmyn Nyx and Fallon Henley) vs The Iinspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay)

Jess wristlocks Nyx then fireman's carry takeovers her. Nyx takes a double kick to the front and back. Cass armdrags Nyx and side headlocks her. Nyx leg lariats Cass. Fallon cravates Cass then hits knees to the face for 2.

Cass takes a double flapjack and has her head banged off the mat by both for 2. Cass armdrags Nyx. Cass boots Nyx out of the corner. Jess and Fallon get in. Jess hits lariats on the heels then boots both in the corner.

Jess is pulled off the apron by Nyx and thrown back in. Cass is catapulted into a pele kick for 2. The four trade forearms. The faces and heels both dosey-do and the heels run into facekicks. Nyx's head is banged off one of the faces knees for 2.

Cass hits a spinning high kick for 2 then high kicks Nyx. Nyx is hit with an idolizer and pinned.

Thoguhts:
It wasn't that good as expected. The Iinspiration are really just a step above not botching stuff and are pretty limited as workers.

TNA Injury Report

Indi Hartwell is cleared after bruising. JDC is out of action indefinitely from head trauma due to JDC. The Hardy's, Slater and Cedric are cleared for tonight.

Trick Williams is on the phone and complains about being assaulted by Mike Santana after the bell. He tells his lawyer to get here ASAP as he isn't going for this.

Ryan Nemeth comes out to talk. He says his big brother returns to TNA next week. Alisha Edwards comes out with Eddie Edwards. She says they need to make amends for past mistakes and says what better place to start than in Baltimore? She says everyone is waiting for the one person to shut Ryan's mouth.

Ryan asks if Alisha is volunteering to wrestle him. She says not her, him. Eddie then chops him down.

Eddie Edwards vs Ryan Nemeth

Eddie hits chops to start. Eddie overhead belly to belly suplexes him. Eddie headbutts him. Ryan pounds on him. Eddie hits chops and jabs. Ryan throws him down backwards and stomps on him.

Eddie hits shots to the gut. Eddie is thrown hard into the buckles. Eddie hits more chops then goes into the post on a corner spear attempt. Ryan stomps him and gets a 2 count.

Ryan neckbreakers Eddie for 2. Ryan dares Alisha to slap him. Eddie hits lariats on Ryan then pop-up drops him. Ryan blocks a backpack stunner. Eddie hits a double underhook powerbomb. Eddie shining wizards him for the win.

Thoughts:
The result was obvious and it was about as average of a match as it gets.

Indi Hartwell is interviewed in the back. She says she's disappointed in Dani's attack last week. She says she won't back down. Santino Marella comes in. He says it'll be Indi vs Jody Threat for the #1 contendership for the Knockouts Title. Dani Luna comes in and complains. Indi asks to add Dani to the match and Santino does.

Eric Young does a promo. He says maybe he knows the truth and you don't. He says maybe he's the only one seeing things clearly. He says a cleanse is coming and we see Joe Hendry knocked out. He says this will continue and a cleanse is coming.

They shove each other. TS side headlocks her. Mara shoulders her over. TS armdrags her then gets armdragged. Mara hits a wasteland and hits knee drops. Jason Hotch trips Mara and TS pump kicks Mara.

TS pounds on Mara. TS lariats her from the apron then slingshot rolling sentons her. TS sits on her back with a chinlock. Mara snapmares her over and hits shots to the gut. Mara uppercuts her.

Mara flying hip attacks her and slingblades her. Mara dropkicks her off the buckles for 2. Mara step up enzugiri's her. Mara is distracted and takes a 2nd rope russian legsweep for 2.

Mara backdrops her then and hits an awful looking pedigree where TS lands on her knees. The Great Hands get on the apron. Mara gets distracted then she topes Skyler. She then stares down with Agent Zero. Mara comes back in and cuttered. TS then wins.

Thoughts:
It was not that good as expected and the ending was really stupid with Mara picking fights with everyone but her opponent when the pin was there.

Mara is held after for shots from TS. Agent Zero then lariats Mara.

The Hardy's then come out and fight with The Great Hands. They double lariat Agent Zero over the top. Zero lands on his feet and and his buddies hold him back.

The Hardy Boyz (Matt and Jeff Hardy) vs Leon Slater and Cedric Alexander

Jeff back elbows Ced. Ced blocks a jawbreaker with a kick. Jeff shoulders Leon over. Leon rewind kicks him. Jeff russian legsweeps him and gets a 2 count on him. Leon takes a rolling senton + fist drop combo. Matt back elbows Leon. Matt 2nd rope elbow drops Leon in the back of the head. Matt side effect's and twists of fate's Leon. Jeff misses a top rope swanton.

Ced waistlocks Jeff. Leon basement dropkicks Jeff. Leon jumping splashes Jeff for 2. Leon corner lariats Jeff. Ced basement dropkicks Jeff for 2. We go to break and return. Jeff spin kicks Leon. Both tag out. Matt hits forearms on Ced. Matt back elbows him then bangs his head off the buckles. Matt then bangs Leon's head off the buckles. Matt side effects Ced then 2nd rope elbow drops him for 2.

Ced twists of fate's Matt then PK's him for 2. Leon is crotched up top when Ced is pushed into the corner. Ced takes a twist of fate then a splash for 2. Leon enzugiri's Matt. Leon misses a 450. Leon takes a twist of fate but cutters Matt off of it. Leon leg lariats Jeff.

Leon misses a swanton 450. Ced flatliners Jeff of the buckles for 2. Ced and Jeff trade. Matt twists of fate's Ced. Jeff hits a top rope swanton on Ced and wins.

Thoughts: It was pretty average for the most part. There were a million twists of fates here and not a lot else. The Hardy's won as expected and I was surprised there wasn't more going on storyline wise here.

Trick Williams comes out. He says Mike Santana put his hands on him after the bell and he says he's not going for that. He says Mike wants to beat him up when he's not paying attention. He says he brought his lawyer Michael O'Shay. He says he has 50 days until he has to defend the title and says to take it up with his lawyer.

Santino Marella comes out. He says he will defend his title at Bound for Glory. The lawyer says Santino will silence his voice when Trick is speaking and will adhere to the contract. Santino pulls out the cobra and hits the lawyer.

Thoughts: This was dumb. I don't know how hitting the lawyer changes anything.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual Impact episode. Nothing was that great here. The opener was fine and Reed/EY was as well. The women's tag match wasn't that good. Eddie/Ryan was average. Mara/Tasha wasn't that good. The Hardy's tag was also average for the most part. The final segment with Trick's lawyer was dumb. I am somewhat curious about Eric Young's cleansing. There were a lot of people who weren't in action and weren't really on the show here. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and thought it was average. There's nothing you need to see here.

WWE Evolve 8/27/2025

WWE Evolve 8/27/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/wwe-evolve-8202025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-evolve-932025.html

Note - The timing of this episode is weird as Ice Williams and Jordan Oasis were released from WWEID this week.

Kendal Grey vs Wendy Choo

They lock up and roll on the ropes. Choo armdrags her. KG waistlock takedowns her. Choo back elbows her then side headlock takeovers her. Choo handstands out of it and KG side headlocks her.

KG fireman's carry takeovers her. Choo hits her in the corner then KG 2nd rope twisting crossbodies her. KG trips her then basement dropkicks her. KG is over the 2nd rope and gets knee'd. Choo spinning neckbreakers her. We go to break and return.

KG is in tree of woe and Choo basement dropkicks her for 2. Choo chokes her on the ropes. Choo snapmares her then twists her neck with her feet. Choo handspring forearms her then running facekicks her for 2.

They double clothesline each other. They trade shots on their knees. KG short arm clotheslines her and back elbows her. KG hits a hard flying back elbow. KG trips her then slingshot double stomps her. KG ddt's her for 2. Choo superplexes her then suplexes her for 2.

KG hits her gutwrench powerslam then does an armbar. KG comes off the buckles and is uranage'd. Choo does her dirtnap to her but KG rolls over and ends up pinning her while Choo keeps the hold on.

Thoughts: They really tried to have a great match here without any particular story in the match. KG go the surprise upset here. They did what they were supposed to and the moves were fine but I don't think it was quite as good as it appears to be.

Ice Williams does a promo. He said they gave Sean Legacy 6 months to see if he could be the face of WWEID. He says he doesn't have the game like he does. He says he's been watching others make their move while he's been dominating in Las Vegas. He says Sean is in his world now. He says if he has a problem, let's step up and rumble. He says he will crack 'em, pack 'em and put them in the freezer. He says he's the coldest on the planet.

Brooks Jensen vs Jordan Oasis

They lock up and let go. BJ hits him in the corner and bangs his arm off his shoulder. BJ armlocks him. JO knocks him down with punches then euros the arm. JO slams and sentons him.

JO hits chops in the corner. BJ is whipped into the corner and goes out over the top. JO then topes him. BJ pulls JO's arm into the post. JO's arm is banged off the post and we go to break.

BJ gets a 2 count on JO then he armlocks him. JO is pulled int othe buckles arm first and takes a single arm ddt for 2. BJ armlocks him. BJ trips him and misses an elbow drop.

JO armwhips him down then JO kneelifts him. JO running lariats him. JO backbreakers and suplexes him. JO cannonballs him against the buckles. BJ lariats him off the buckles and running lariats him for the win.

Thoughts:
They were building towards a longer match than what we got. I was surprised it just ended on a lariat after all of the armwork that was done here. The work wasn't bad and BJ's lariat finisher looked good here. JO had a nice tope.

Chuey Martinez interviews Brooks Jensen after. He says he may be in the running for a title match. BJ tells Jordan that he can pack up on the bus and go to the next town as he wants the Evolve champ. He is asked about The Vanity Project. He says Jackson Drake needs an army to stay champ and he doesn't. He says if you aren't here to be champ than why are you in this sport? He says he's been a tag champ and it's time for him to be a singles champ. He says Stevie needs to do the right thing and name him the #1 contender.

Thoughts: Brooks went off a bit here going out of the box and it wasn't bad.

The Vanity Project talk in the back. Drake says everyone is coming for him. Bryce says Brooks is a headcase. Drake says every great faction has ups and downs and says Vanity Project is no different. He says they are good looking and still running Evolve. Stevie Turner comes in. She says she's deciding his next challenger. Drake says it doesn't matter who is put in front of him as he will put them down.

Layla Diggs and Masyn Holiday talk in the back.

Masyn says she hasn't had a lot of opportunities but comes from a small place and has big dreams. She talks about breaking records in track and field. Layla asks who she will call out and they talk about various wrestlers. Masyn says Kylie Rae is the measuring stick of Evolve and wants to show that she's a star in the making.

Evolve Women's Title - Kali Armstrong (c) vs Chantel Monroe vs Nikkita Lyons vs Karmen Petrovic

Kali argues with KP. The other girls hit them. Kali throws CM over the top. Kali slams KP. KP bodyscissors her. We then get a 4 girl submission. Kali hits a double lariat. Kali hits punches on NL then corner spears CM and NL. Kali powerslams KP. CM comes off the top and is powerslammed by Kali. Lyons does a split drop on CM and Kali at the same time. We go to break and return.

KP and NL miss legsweeps. NL hits pin kicks on her opponents. She germans KP then tiger drivers CM for 2. KP superkicks NL in the head. KP cradles Kali on a powerslam and superkicks her. KP hits a soul foot on CM. KP 2nd rope diving slingblades NL.

KP corner handstand hurricanrana's Kali down then corkscrew kicks her for 2. CM pulls Kali's neck forward then spinning codebreakers BL. CM kips down out of a lariat then handstands into a headscissors on Kali, who spears NL. CM does a jawbreaker on KP for 2.

We get a tower of doom spot with NL sending everyone down. NL gets a 2 count on KP and then Kali. NL hits punches on KP and Kali. KP boots Kali out of the corner. KP hanging headscissors Kali over the top. NL spin kicks Kali in the gut.

NL and Kali double lariat each other down. CM bangs KP's head off the apron. Kylie Rae comes down and fights with CM. KP topes both. Rae and CM fight to the back. Kali powerbombs NL after being kicked in the gut. KP lariats CM out. KP jack knife's NL for 2.

NL samoan drops KP. Kali pulls KP out of a vader bomb. Kali running shoulders NL over and pins her.

Thoughts:
I didn't expect much out of this but it was a good main event. There was a lot of action, they kept things moving and everyone ended up looking good here. They did a good job of covering the girls various weaknesses and this really gelled well. I don't know how this brand seems to do so well with four-way matches but they did it again here.

Overall thoughts: It was a good episode. The main was the highlight here. I had no expectations for it and it ended up being a good four with everyone looking good. Kendal Grey and Wendy Choo had a match that kind of masqueraded as a really good match but could have been better. It wasn't bad though. Oasis/Jensen was pretty good throughout but they worked the arm all match then just had a lariat finish which didn't add onto what they did. Jensen then cut a decent promo after. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 as they built some stuff for next time and did enough in the ring.

Stardom 7/30/2025 5★STAR Grand Prix 2025 Day 2

Stardom 7/30/2025 5★STAR Grand Prix 2025 Day 2

Saya spinning high kicks her then misses a corkscrew kick to the back. Yuna then gets a 2 count on her. Saya misses a corkscrew kick on Yuna's back but they go with it anyway. Saya then ki krushers her for the win.

Thoughts: Saya's corkscrew kicks to the back didn't look good here and I think Yuna missed a whisper in the wind.. Other than that, they kept it moving and Saya got the win as expected.

Saya breaks Yuna's sunglasses after and stomps her.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block C Match - Mei Seira vs. Lady C

They each avoid moves to start. C shoulders her over and Mei kips up. C shoulders her over. Mei rolls her off a boston crab attempt and basement dropkicks her. Mei hits corner dropkicks several times. Mei ties her legs up and chinlocks her and C ropebreaks.

Thoughts: I thought it was what it should have been with C using her power against Mei and Mei trying to grab onto her with submissions in various ways. It made sense and I liked it.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - Starlight Kid vs. Rian

Ri running dropkicks her twice. Ri hits a chest forearm flurry. Kid 2nd rope twisting crossbodies her. Kid then crabs her. Ri ropebreaks.

Ri misses a top rope crossbody and rolls her up for 2. Kid hits a hard meteora to the back of the neck. Kid top rope twisting splashes her for 2. Kid stretch mufflers her then makes her tap out after grounding her with it.

Thoughts: It was nice to see Rian get a longer singles match. We haven't seen her get to do that very often. I just thought it was so-so though and didn't like it as much as I expected it to. Kid mostly stuck to her stretch mufflers and knee work here before winning.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block C Match - Bea Priestley vs. Azusa Inaba

They lock up. BP backs her up on the ropes and AI chokes her there. AI hits chest forearms. BP forearms back and AI eye pokes her. BP backslides her for 2. BP whips AI down by the arm and basement dropkicks her. BP wristlocks AI then 2nd rope double stomps her arm.

AI leg kicks her then bodyscissors takedowns her for 2. BP pump kicks her then does a pump handle sitout power bomb and wins it.

Thoughts: BP mostly worked the arm here while AI worked the leg. It made sense but wasn't super exciting. It was fine though.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - AZM vs. Tomoka Inaba

TI looks like Giulia with her hairstyle. TI misses a pump kick but it's sold anyway. AZM dropkicks her and they trade chest forearms. AZM sweeps her then basement dropkicks her. TI kicks the rope into AZM's face then running facekicks her.

TI stomps AZM's arm. TI wristlocks her and rolls her into an armlock. TI then hooks a leg on top of it. AZM hits chest forearms and TI kicks her in the arm. TI wristlocks her. AZM kicks her out of the corner and 2nd rope dropkicks her for 2.

Thoughts: TI did some armwork and kicks her and AZM did kicks and double stomps. I liked it as the kicks looked fine and they got a lot of time to let this play out. AZM was the favorite and won here.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block C Match - Hanan vs. Waka Tsukiyama

They lock up and break on the ropes. Waka hits chest forearms then trips her into the ropes. Waka flying knees her against the 2nd rope. Waka backrolls her but Han escapes and la magistral's her for 2. Han backdrops her twice and wins.

Thoughts:
Waka mostly does comedy so I can't say I'm that surprised by this. I think it was mostly done just to give people a break between longer GP matches. Han won as expected.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - Rina vs. Sayaka Kurara

They trade forearms to start. Rina hits a bunch in a row. Say flying forearms her. Rina hip throws her then hair throws her. Rina foot chokes her. Rina stomps on her then Saya dropkicks her. Saya hits a corner dropkick then sleepers her.

Rina facekicks her against the ropes then basement dropkicks her. Rina northern lights suplexes her for 2. Rina 2nd rope double knee drops her for 2. Rina misses a top rope double foot stomp and Saya brings her down with a sleeper. Rina ropebreaks.

Saya hits a nice spear then falcon arrows her for 2. Rina shotgun dropkicks her. Saya hits a dropkick then Rina chest kicks her. Rina hits a gori special and wins.

Thoughts: It was just a match. They hit everything clean and didn't do anything wrong but it didn't really stick out as anything special. Rina did some armbars here but didn't work the arm that much otherwise.

Rina then talks to her on the mic after.

5STAR Grand Prix 2025 Block D Match - Natsupoi vs. Natsuko Tora

Tora running lariats her to start and gets a 2 count. Poi is thrown out then thrown into the seats. They go back in and Tora throws her out again. Tora spits something in her face. Poi spin kicks her in the gut and casadora bulldogs her on the floor. Poi then spits water in her face. Poi dives on her off the buckles outside.

Poi dropkicks Tora's head through the ropes. Poi top rope crossbodies her inside for 2. Poi then armbars her. Poi kicks Tora in the wrist then knees it. Poi hits a running headhunter.  Poi tries to german her but Tora falls on her and tries a pin off of it. Tora sentons her for 2. Poi armbars her. Tora hits a sit out powerbomb on her to break it. Tora crossbodies her then hits a corner cannonball for 2. Tora misses a 2nd rope splash and gets a close 2 count on her. Poi superkicks her then Tora lariats her. Poi spin kicks her in the head and germans her.

Poi goes for a 180 splash off the top but Tora gets her knees up. Tora's buddy distracts the ref. Tora green mists, death valley drivers and top rope swantons Poi to win.

Thoughts: It was alright with Poi working the arm and Tora eventually cheating to win here.

Tora then talks on the mic to close the show.

Overall thoughts: There was a lot of limb work on this show. I liked Mei/C and AZM/Inaba. Nothing was awful here but there weren't any really great matches either. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as mostly everything was okay enough and nothing was horrible. I'd say it was above average.

AEW Dynamite 8/27/2025

AEW Dynamite 8/27/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/aew-dynamite-8202025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/aew-dynamite-932025.html

We are in Philadelphia, PA at the old ECW Arena.

Ian Riccaboni, Taz and Excalibur are on commentary.

FTR come out to talk. They run into technical problems with 2 mics as Dax tries to talk. Dax says there was a miscarriage of justice at the PPV. He says he was pinned by the illegal man. He says he wants to talk to ref Paul Turner. He asks how long he has been doing this and Paul say 27 years. Paul says his wife is here and Dax tells him how bad it would be to tell his family he failed and is an incompetent moron. Dax wants to him to admit he was wrong and reverse the decision, naming FTR the new tag champs. Paul says he's sorry but his decision is final.

Stoke gets on the mic and calls him a moron and an imbecile. He says Paul wants to appear the fans. Stoke shoves Paul and FTR block Paul from doing anything. Cope then comes out. Christian then appears from behind and hits a killswitch on Stoke. FTR fights with Cope and Cage and security tries to break it up.

Cage says they took care of his problem at Forbidden Door and now it's time to take care of Cope's problem. Cage says FTR both have father's. Cope says no then Cage does. Cage says one of FTR's dad's is dead and Cash gets mad. Cope challenges FTR for All Out in Toronto (their home town). He says it's time they took their pound of flesh.

Darby does a video with fake blood supposedly coming from his ear. He says he told Mox he was taking everything from him. He says he cried over dead bodies on Mt. Everest and said he felt alive there. He says he will never stop coming after The Death Riders. We then see Darby painting with the blood and writing "All Out". He says he will take everything from Mox at All Out.

Jon Moxley vs Daniel Garcia

They do some amateur wrestling. They trade some basic holds and Mox shoulders him over. DG hits forearms and Mox back elbows him. Mox hits mounted corner punches. DG dragon screws him over the ropes. DG running hip attacks him against the rails. Mox boots DG off the apron. Matt Menard comes out to make sure Yuta and Shafir don't touch DG. DG and Mox trade forearms in the ring. DG backrolls and ankle locks him. Mox ropebreaks.

We go to PiP break and return. Mox bites DG's head then rakes his back. They slap each other on the buckles. DG punches Mox's knee then bites it. DG superplexes him.

DG hits running lariats. Mox faacekicks him, DG rebounds off the ropes and lariats him for 2. Mox hits a surprise cutter. DG facekicks him out of the corner and chops him. DG blocks a ddt and half-crabs him. Mox eye pokes him outside then ddt's him on the steps.

DG rolls him up inside the ring for 2. DG hits forearms. Mox blocks a dragon screw and tries an armbar. DG then tries a sharpshooter. DG piledrivers him for 2. Mox then cradles him and wins.

Thoughts:
The selling had issues near the end with DG being able to survive a ddt on the steps and Mox getting a win after taking a piledriver. The match was mostly okay with DG working the knee and Mox doing brawling.

Wheeler Yuta is given the mic by Mox. Yuta says Mox won't waste his breath answering Darby's challenge. He says the answer is no. DG and Mox argue during and after this.

Wheeler Yuta is on the mic again after break. Yuta said he was a ring crew member in this arena and broke bones here. He said it got him, "F-U Yuta" chants. He says the fans' tears mean nothing. He says his tears got Will on a stretcher, they got Chuck Taylor a broken neck and he replaced Bryan Danielson.

The lights go out and we see the Hook signal. Yuta misses a charge on Hook and is put in the red rum. Hook then superman punches him and Yuta goes out.

MJF talks in the back after Forbidden Door. He says the fans proved his point as he bled and the fans chanted "you deserved it". He said he had the match won but Mark Briscoe cost him the match. He says the fans then chanted "you deserved it" again. MJF says he's the best in the world and he should have burnt Mark alive. He says he will. He said Tony then told him he can't execute his contract whenever he wants. He says there's only one man who can take the title from Page and it's MJF. He says when he signs the contract, it won't be for Page's title but for his soul.

Kris superkicks Meg then Meg pump kicks her. Meg is lariated over the top. Harley spinning ddt's Meg on the floor. Kris drops Ford off her shoulders face first. Kris then does a headscissors + armbar on Ford and wins.

Thoughts: The crowd liked it but I didn't think it was that great. Bayne looked fine here and Harley has had better outings.

Meg and Kris fight in the ring after. Kris superkicks her. Willow Nightingale comes in. Harley tries to make Kris and Willow get along and holds up both their arms.

Renee is in the ring with Mone's title belts on a table with flowers. Mone is having a celebration here for winning her 9th belt. Mone said Ultimo Dragon had 10 titles and she will smash that record. She says she's coming for any woman out there with a title. She says they will love the taste of Mone. Renee brings up Alex Windsor and she says she doesn't care about her. He says it's been a week since MJF threatened to set him on fire. He says he will set MJF's goals and dreams on fire. He says he will light MJF's @ss up next time he sees him. He says MJF is haunting his mind by saying he can't win the big one. He says him and Kyle Fletcher have had a rivalry and he's challenging him for the TNT Title.

Don Callis comes out with Wardlow then does the intro for Hechicero, Takeshita and Josh Alexander.

KK springboard lariats Okada.

Mike top rope hurricanrana's Josh. Josh rolls up Mike and pins him.

Thoughts
: It was the usual match with lots of action and people doing dies and cool moves. The big story here was KT and Okada having trouble getting along. It was fine but nothing memorable. I'm not sure why Wardlow didn't wrestle here since he is back.

Adam Page comes out to talk. Page thanks Will Ospreay for everything he has done for AEW. He says we will all miss him. He says he hopes Will will come back and challenge him for the title. Page says MJF had a shot at the title and failed. Page says if MJF ever signs his contract, he will beat his @ss before the ink is dry.

Don Callis comes out. He says Page took the title from his men as a weakling defended it against him. Don says he wants the title back in his family. He says it's not a question of if they will get the belt but which one will take it. Hechicero, Alexander, Lance and Rocky Romero walk down. Page says he can see how this wil lgo. He plancha's Josh then is beaten up.

Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey come down to help. Rocky hits Mike with a baton. Kenny Omega then comes out and beats up the heels. Bailey and Knight do dives to the outside. Lance then takes a double team from Page and Omega and goes down.

We see a promo from Toni and Mina outside. She says Athena broke Mina's hand and Mina will face her this weekend. Mina slaps Toni. Athena says she will throw Mina off the arena.

Ric springboard dropkicks Joe then running ssp's him for 2. Ric gets on the 2nd rope and MVP his Ric with a cane. Ric takes a spinebuster, a PK and a grounded choke and submits.

Thoughts: It was an entertaining match as expected and Ric's team lost here with MVP coming down to hit Ric with a cane. I liked it and it's too bad it didn't get to go longer.

Bobby Lashley and Sheltn Benjamin then come out and fight with GoA in the aisle.

Falls Count Anywhere - Claudio Castagnoli vs Darby Allin

Darby jumps on him off a trailer then he is thrown into one. CC puts him in a shopping cart and sends him into a bunch of chairs outside. CC bridge a TV and slams Darby on it.

Darby chairs CC. Darby goes up top and takes a euro. CC chairs him. CC top rope karelin's lifts him onto chairs for 2. Darby is then thrown into a table which doesn't break. CC razor's edge's him through the table for 2. CC catapults Darby into the buckles, Darby springboards off of them and double stomps CC.

Darby victory rolls CC for 2. CC is tripped into the exposed buckle. Darby hits a code red for 2. Darby hits a top rope coffin drop then does a 2nd one to win.

Thoughts: They did too much here with Darby taking an awful looking gorilla press onto the commentary table, a throw outside through chairs and a top rope karelin's lift onto chairs. Darby got the crap beaten out of him as expected before picking up the win. It was what I expected. Good action, but they did too much and it was dangerous.

Gabe Kidd jumps Darby after. Mox joins in. Darby then escapes and runs. Gabe chases him.

Overall thoughts: The wrestling was mostly good here but there wasn't a lot of story going on as usual. Mox/Garcia was okay. The women's match wasn't that great. The 8-man was the usual entertaining match. The trios title match was entertaining too. The main was pretty wild as expected. It wasn't boring but it sure was dangerous. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 here. The show being at the ECW Arena made it feel special and the crowd really helped the show out. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 and I liked it overall.

NWA Powerrr 1/9/2024

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2024/12/nwa-powerrr-122024.html

The next few weeks had no new footage. The next show with new footage is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/nwa-powerrr-262024.html

We get a video on EC3 vs Jax Dane to open the show.

NWA Women's Tag Titles - Kylie Paige (c) vs Missa Kate and Ruthie Jay

KP's partner Ella Envy is out and she has to defend the titles alone. KP nails Kate on the apron to start. Jay suplexes then does a sitout gordbuster on Ken for 2. KP misses a corner charge and Kate slams her. Kate elbow drops her then rolls into a handstand senton for 2.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one. At least Kate and Jay didn't lose clean here but it was a normal match and not that great. The announcers talked about it being bogus that Paige had to defend the tag titles alone and I agree.

The ref argues with Kylie after. Ms. Starr comes down and trades with Ken.

NWA Women's Title - Kylie Paige (c) vs Ms. Starr

They trade forearms. Starr misses a corner charge then takes boots and slaps in the corner. Starr rolls her up for 2. KP then headkicks her. KP sleepers her. We go to break and return. KP clubs on Starr. Starr cradles her for 2.

Starr shoulders her over and hair throws her. Starr back splashes her then kicks her in the back. Starr then does the devil's kiss for 2. KP pulls her down by the hair and stands on her hair while pulling the arms.

Starr hits shots to the gut and KP chops her. Starr spinning facebusters her. Starr and KP slap each other. Starr flatliners her for 2. Starr samoan drops her. KP tells the ref her ankle is hurting. He checks on her. Starr goes up top her and KP hits a cutter. KP then pins her.

Thoughts: It wasn't perfect but Starr tried and I was alright with this. The ending was a bit cheap with KP faking an injury to win.

Starr's manager Chelsea comes in and grabs KP after. Starr then ddt's KP.

Thom Latimer is interviewed. He complains about EC3 and Matt Cardona getting title matches only for asking. He says he's told he has heat due to his girl. He says sometimes you have to fight fire with fire. He says he'll be watching.

Knox And Murdoch (Mike Knox & Trevor Murdoch) vs The Country Gentlemen (AJ Cazana & KC Cazana)

KC side headlocks Murd. They shoulder battle, Murd slaps him and tells him to hit him like a man. The Cazana's then hit slams on both opponents, sending them out. All 4 fight outside. KC is sent into the rails and Knox clubs on AJ. KC is backdropped on the apron edge.

Thoughts: It didn't get a ton of time. What we got was alright but nothing too special here. Knox and Murdoch won as expected.

Eric Smallz then comes out and punches Murdoch in the nuts. He then double jump moonsaults him. Knox then crossbodies Smallz.

The Southern Six are interviewed. Silas says they don't care who they are facing on the next show as they are the most important part of the join. They suggest names for the show with their names in it. Alex says the folks in Ft. Lauderdale aren't ready for them. He says their opponents should be grateful for them. Alex says whoever their opponents are better relish it. He then pulls out a packet of relish.

NWA Title - EC3 (c) vs Jax Dane

They lock up and Jax clean breaks him. EC side headlocks him then does it again. Jax shoulders EC over. Jax misses an elbow drop. EC side headlocks him. EC boots him out of the corner then side headlock takeovers him.

Jax escapes and is side headlock takeovered again. Jax belly to belly suplexes him. Jax corner splashes him. Jax bangs EC's head off the apron. EC chops him but gets nowhere and is hit. Jax stomps on him. Jax trapeszus holds EC then elbow drops him. EC jawbreakers him then Jax backdrops him. Jax waistlocks him.

Jax misses a corner charge and goes into the post. Jax's head is banged off the post. EC lariats him off the apron then topes him outside. EC 2nd rope crossbodies him. Jax then lariats him for 2. EC clips him then hits a low headlock driver. He then hits 2 more for the win.

Thoughts: It was a bit slower, didn't have much heat and maybe needed a bit more time. I thought they did a good job establishing that Jax was a lot more powerful than EC. EC's headlock drivers didn't look good here which is a problem since this was the finish.

Jax and EC stare down after and shake hands.

Overall thoughts: They had 4 matches and about 42 minutes here so they were cutting it close. All 4 matches were on the shorter end and nothing was that great. The first two matches had lame finishes and the last two matches didn't get enough time. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it was an average episode.

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-nxt-922025.html

KJ does an olympic slam style move on BM then split-legged moonsaults her to win.

Thoughts: KJ had a good showing here. I don't love Blake losing but at least it wasn't clean. Grace chaining the door shut was creative.

We see a recap of the Myles Borne vs Lexis King feud.

Myles Borne is interviewed as he enters. He says his eyesight is still blurry and it's gonna be a struggle. He says he needs the fans to let him know when he gets close to King and says let's go.

King almost superkicks the ref and trips over MB. They trade shots on their knees. King hits chops. MB hits short arm lariats. The ref breaks them up and King pokes the ref in the eye. King takes off his hood, low blows MB and hits the coronation neckbreaker to win.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one. King went a little over the top here turning this into a comedy match almost. It was entertaining and something different.

Charlie Dempsey asks Wren Sinclair if she's ready. she says she can't face Tatum and Izzi alone. Dempsey says he has a partner for her and brings in Kendal Grey. He says she has potential. Dempsey says she's willing to listen to a true pro. Grey says she never said that. She then chops him as she leaves with Wren.

Wren double underhook suplexes TP. Izzi tries a spinning side slam on Wren but Wren crucifixes her. KG rolling armbars TP but Izzi pins Wren while she does it and wins.

Thoughts: It was a shorter one. KG busted out some new moves here. I liked what we got and it had no boring moments. I was surprised KG's team didn't win here.

Trick Williams talks about upcoming NXT events. He says the question is where he stands. He says he will be headling all 3 upcoming shows. He says he looks and feels like money because he is. He says if anyone has a problem with what he's saying, let's talk about it.

Thoughts
: It was a shorter one with a bunch of shenanigans and wasn't that great.

Thoughts:
It was a fast paced tag and was entertaining as expected here. They didn't quite tease issues between the heels as much as I thought they would, but I'm sure there will be more issues coming out between them after this loss.

Overall thoughts: Kelani James had a good showing in her match vs Blake and the ending was clever with Grace locking the doors on Blake. Borne/King was a little over the top in the blindfold match but it was entertaining. Kendal Grey got the call up and did some new moves in a tag team match loss. Saints/Briggs was a good fight. Alba/Tyra was short and filled with shenanigans and it seems like Page/Green may be a thing going forward. The women's trios match main event went well and I wouldn't mind seeing it again. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 as it was a fun show where almost everything went well.

AJ says if Chan can beat him and Wynters, then he will guarantee a title shot. Andrew says he can't sanction that but says they can have a tag match. Vert drops her with a big forearm. Vert springboard kicks her for 2. KC is up top and is pump kicked. Tiffany Nieves then runs in and tower of dooms the both to end the match.

Thoughts: They didn't have the cleanest shots here but Vert looked alright prior to the dirty finish. They said Nieves just joined the GLORY roster here which probably explains the attack.

Erik Lockhart is interviewed about his loss to Rhys Maddox. We see House Money talking to someone in the hallway in the back. Erik doesn't reply to either question and leaves.

Thoughts:
RM gets a 2nd upset pin on Erik here. It wasn't bad. Erik definitely took him to school a bit here and RM did what he was supposed to do as the spunky underdog.

Clay Roberts is interviewed. He is down 2-1 in the Best of 5 series and he needs to win tonight. He says most men start praying when their backs are against the wall. He says he's not religious but he's a preacher of the good word of wrestling. He says wrestling is a religious experience and when you believe in something like he does, there will always be something to believe in him. He says he ties it up tonight and Semsei will become a believer in the good word.

Best of 5 Series, Match #4 - Semsei vs Clay Roberts

Sem has the 2-1 lead. Clay clubs on Sem and waistlocks him. Clay armlocks him then Sem armdrags him. Clay then runs into a knee from Sem for 2. Sem hits punches and chops on Clay.

Sem goes to springboard but is tripped on the top rope. Clay running knee lifts him for 2. Clay hits chops and punches on Sem. Clay footchokes him.

Clay slams him then knee drops him. Clay chinlocks him. Sem hits shots to the gut and is hit. Sem springboards, is caught with an armbar and backrolls him. Sem powerslams him for 2. Sem step up kicks Clay then pele kicks him.

Sem superplexes him. Sem goes ofr the kill and someone gets on the apron. Someone else then gets on the other side. Sem is pulled over the top and hit. Clay spinning high kicks Sem and gets the pin.

Thoughts: The match was about average and Clay won by dubious means here. I'm not sure how much more there is to this one than Clay being the heel and cheating to win.

Haley J is interviewed about her match with Arianna Grace. She says she's a disgrace. She says she will learn that this isn't NXT and she will slap her back to reality. J says she let Grace punch her and play a video during her title match. She says after tonight, Grace won't be back.

"Hollyhood" Haley J vs Arianna Grace

We get a rare WOW vs NXT match here as J's a regular in WOW as Holly Swag.

J misses a shot and AG backrolls her for 2. AG boots her in the gut and back elbows her. AG snapmares her and shoulders her over. J hits a punch then AG rolls her into a pin attempt. J turns it into a crucifix.

AG is tripped into the ropes. J baseball slides her then suplexes her on the floor. AG's head is banged off the apron. J tries to hit her against the post but just hits the post. AG blocks a slap inside and hits forearms.

AG facekicks her. AG hits elbows. AG corner lariats her then running knees her for 2. J hits a big slap for 2. AG hits wasteland on her for the win.

Thoughts: And this is the problem with bringing in WWE people - they aren't losing. Grace isn't much of a wrestler and is still a project in the ring and she shouldn't of won here, but she did. Whether Grace sticks around or not is unknown but J will be and they will have to rebuild her. It was a basic and plain match and it was below average.

AG is shocked at winning after and celebrates. The ref then gives her the crown to put back on.

House Money (AJ Francis and Quentin Wynters) vs Chandler Hopkins and Josiah Jean

Josiah Jean is the surprise partner. Jean takes a side headlock takeover from QW. QW shoulders him over and Jean superkicks him. QW eye pokes him. AJ is tripped by Jean. Chan hits shots on QW in the corner and corkscrew kicks him. Chan rolls into a flatliner on QW. AJ stops Chan's flatliner, pulls him out and throws him in. QW then pounds on Chan.

QW stomps on Chan. QW flapjacks Chan for 2. QW back elbows Chan then whips him into an AJ facekick. AJ tries to pin Chan with a foot on the chest. AJ chin and armlocks Chan.

AJ bearhugs Chan. Chan boots AJ out of the corner then tags out. Jean gets in and nails Chan, turning on him in a surprise. Jean then does the "money, money, money" taunt and stomps on Chan with the heels. AJ chokeslams Chan.

Thoughts: I didn't see that one coming. The match had a dirty finish so this wasn't anything too special. We will have to see what comes from this.

Overall thoughts: There wasn't anything to see here. Arianna Grace came in and beat Haley J in a weak match. The main and the Semsei/Roberts match had dirty finishes and Rhys Maddox got a surprise win over Erik Lockhart. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 total was it was pretty average overall and not one of the best ROW episodes.
