Moose vs Sami Callihan

Moose chokes him in the corner then sends him hard into the buckles. Moose steps on his head then takes a stunner off a missed corner charge for 2. Moose rolling spears him. They go out and Sami slams him on the floor. Moose hits another rolling spear in the ring and wins.

Thoughts: This was too short and I'm not even sure if Moose got sweaty here. Sami didn't need to get squashed like this.

Alisha Edwards and Moose talk after. Moose says Leon Slater is stepping into the biggest match of his career, but he says it's another Sunday for him. Moose says he will become the longest reigning X-Division champ. Moose asks what Sami is still doing in the ring and says he doesn't have it anymore. He says Sami used to be known as The Death Machine but is a fat, piece of garbage. He says Sami still deserves a job in TNA but it should be fixing up the boy's catering. He calls him a fat turd. He tells him to leave his boots in the ring and get his fat @ss out of the ring.

Sami goes to untie his boots and Moose tells him to speed it up. Sami rolls out of the ring. Moose then says it's time to bring out The System.

Thoughts: Whoa, Moose really dug into Sami here. I'm not even a Sami fan, but that was rough.

Sami runs into The System as they enter. We go to break and return.

The System (Eddie Edwards, JDC and Brian Myers) vs Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, Jason Hotch and John Skyler)

Order 4 head to the ring and the lights go out. The Dark State from NXT appear in the crowd then attack The System. Eddie and JDC take lariats and we get an "NXT" chant. Brian Myers is thrown into a double powerbomb. Ali claps.

Gia interviews Dani Luna. Dani says she's feeling pumped. She says Tessa Blanchard is taking advantage of people but says this her (Dani's) specialty. She says she has everything you could ever need to rule the Knockouts Division but Tessa is just in her way.

Tessa Blanchard vs Dani Luna

Dani wristlocks her and side headlocks her. Tess boots her in the knee and takes an exploder. Dani back body drops her and sliding forearms her for 2. Dani knee drops the arm then armlocks her. Dani is kicked while on the 2nd rope and goes down.

Tessa flying kicks her while she's on the ropes. Tessa then slingshot elbow drops her. Tessa basement dropkicks her for 2 and hits mounted shots. Tessa ddt's the leg twice. Tessa does a grounded guillotine. Dani lfits her and suplexes houer out of it.

Dani hits forearms and facekicks her. Dani flying chest kicks her. Dani powerbombs her for 2. Tess slaps her in the corner and gets her stuck on the 2nd buckle. Tess then codebreakers her there for 2.

Tess gets hit climbing the buckles then Dani catches her top rope diving codebreaker. Dani slingshot blue thunders her for 2. Victoria Crawford saves Tess from taking a move. Tess then top rope diving codebreakers Dani to win.

Thoughts: It was fine. Tess won as expected here and I liked the spot where Dani caught her diving codebreaker. There was nothing wrong with it.

Crawford and Tessa get some shots in on Dani and Indi Hartwell saves Dani.

Indi gets on the mic. She says every friend Tessa has had, she turned her back on. Indi says Tess will get to know her at Slammiversary, b!tch. 

We see clips of The Elegance Brand getting into a fight with The Iiconics at an autograph signing from 3 weeks ago.

The Iiconics do a promo. They say they are the next Knockouts tag champs. They say The Elegance Brand's title reign has been cute. They say they don't feel the need to intimidate or instigate to get what they want. They say they deserve the spotlight they will get when they become the 2x TNA Knockouts tag champs.

The Elegance Brand comes out to talk. Ash says she was forced to apologize for the altercation with The Iiconics. She says she was fined because of the fans. She says the fans should talk about her instead of Masha and NXT. She says she's the #1 contender. She says she has the divine right to prove why The Brand is the most dominant brand in TNA history.

Fatal Influence walk down. Jacy says they have known each other for a while now and had no problem until Ash started saying they are the most dominant faction. She says when she beats Masha, she will be happy to remind her where she stands when it comes to women's wrestling.

Masha Slamovich comes down and shrugs Ash aside. Masha says Jacy doesn't know her and she talks about her life. She said she didn't have friends and Jacy says if she looked in the mirror, she'd realize why she had no friends. She says Jacy sees herself in the mirror and thinks perfection makes you a champ. Masha says her scars made her a champ. Masha says she won't let an outsider win the TNA title. She says Jacy will have to make her heart stop beating to take the title. Jacy holds the title up at her and then Masha holds her title up at her.

TNA Injury Report

Trey Miguel is day to day with a hernia injury. KC Navarro is cleared of his knee injury. 

Jody Threat checks on Dani in the back. Dani asks where she was. Jody said she just heard about it. Dani says Indi was there as they tease dissension.

We get a video on Mike Santana.

Judas Icarus vs The Home Town Man

Home waves The Terrible Towel and is dressed up in Pittsbugh Steelers attire.  

Home hits punches on JI then drops him with a punch. Home hits mounted corner punches then airplane spin's him into a TKO for 2. Travis Williams distracts Home and JI bites Home's hand. JI superkicks Home in the knee then forearms him in the side of the head for 2.

JS double throat thrusts him then Travis pulls at Home's mask. JI misses a forearm and Home hits lariats on him. Home spinning slams him then JI rakes the eyes. Home topes Travis outside. Home shiranui's JI and wins.

Thoughts: It was quick and fine for what it was with JS heeling it up and Home overcoming it to win.

Eric Young comes out and goes after Home after but Home exits the ring. A fan stops Eric from going after Home as Home goes into the crowd.We get an advertisement from Fourth Rope with Enzo Amore. Enzo said he had to run through half of TNA. He said he'd eat up and spit out Joe Hendry. He calls him a blueberry muffin. He said if he wanted TNA, he'd go to Bada Bing with Tony Soprano. He says he's not All In as the chip on his shoulder is worth more than any in the pile. He says he will show up to Slammiversary and will bring a crew including Zilla Fatu and a Bishop. He says he has no problem tapping someone out at Slammiversary. He says he is showing up and not showing up alone.

Thoughts: Well, it's a little more clear what Enzo is up to now. He took shots at AEW multiple times here.

Steve Maclin does a promo. He says since he became TNA International champ, he will take on anyone from anywhere. He says if you dare to cross the line, he's holding the line. He says it will be tag 'em, bag 'em and mayhem for all if you do.

Matt Cardona gets in the ring. He said he was attacked by Dark State. He says is they want him, he's here and always ready.

Matt Cardona vs Jake Painter

They lock up and the lights go out for Dark State. Dark State appears and attacks both guys in the ring. Jake is thrown into a double powerbomb. Brian Myers comes out and makes the save for Matt but then Brian takes a 4v1. The System then come out to save Brian. They hit Griffin with a chair and kendo stick and Dark State get out of the ring. 

The Hardy's come out to talk. Matt thanks everyone for helping them live their dream for 33 years. Matt says they are the only tag team to hold tag titles through 4 decades.  Matt said they promised themselves they would never be a shell of the team they once were. Matt says the business will move forward when they are gone. Matt says they lost a few matches since losing the tag titles.

Jeff says they need to be honest with themselves and got beat by AJ Francis. Matt says they are making a promis to themselves. Matt says they should not be in the ring if they are not the best in tag team wrestling. Jeff says if they don't win the tag titles back at Slammiversary, maybe it's time for The Hardy Party to end.

Leon Slater comes out. Leon says he can't believe they are saying this. He says they have more than changed his life. He said they took him from a kid to a man and from the undercard to challenging for the X-Division Title. He says he knows they changed every person's life in here.

He says the last 6 months have been the greatest of his career. He says it can't finish. Matt says not to worry about them. He says to worry about winning the X-Title at Slammiversary. Leon says he needs to focus but needs them to focus. He says they need to get out of their slump and be The Hardy's they all grew up loving. He says they are the greatest tag team of all time.

First Class comes out. AJ said he heard the line about him. AJ says Matt just recently lost to him. He says they are washed. He says First Class are the uncrowned champs just like Lamar Jackson. Matt tells Leon this is their fight and says to get out of here as they got this. AJ says they worried about The Rascalz and The Nemeths. He says The Hardy's aren't even the best brother tag team in TNA.

The Nemeth's come out. Nic says he loves this Hardy pity party thing. He says maybe they forgot who runs this place and who the champs are. He says no one can do what they do the way they do it. Nic says him and Ryan are the greatest brother tag team in pro wrestling. Ryan says they will be champs forever.

Ryan says he's been in more ladder matches than The Hardy's combined. The Nemeth's then attack The Hardy's. The lights then go out. The Rascalz come out and join the fight. Zach gets on AJ's back with a sleeper. Jeff brings a ladder in the ring and Ryan, Nic and AJ get clotheslined with it.  The Hardy's then climb the ladder and pose.

Trick Williams and Frankie Kazarian vs Joe Hendry and Mike Santana

Trick nails Mike and Joe from behind and hits punches on Joe. We go to break and return. Joe shoulders Kaz over and hiptosses him. Joe suplexes Kaz.  Mike dropkicks Kaz then hits 3 amigos for 2.

Kaz spinning neckbreakers Mike. Kaz drops down then Trick hits a nice dropkick on Mike. Trick jumping side kicks Mike. Mike hits chops on Trick then Trick forearms him. Trick dropkicks Mike.

Kaz hits shots on Mike's back. Kaz backdrops Mike. Mike hits punches on Kaz. Mike lariats Kaz. Mike backrolls into a cutter on Kaz for 2. Kaz face rakes Mike. Kaz backcrackers Mike then springboard legdrops him. Trick hits 2 of 3 amigos on Mike. Mike hits chops on Trick. Trick spinning facekicks Mike.

Trick cradle shocks Mike for 2. Kaz gets in and Mike cradles him. Kaz lariats Mike. Trick uppercuts Mike. Mike is double clubbed on then Mike asai moonsaults both at the same time. Joe gets in and hits lariats on the heels. Kaz punches Joe. Joe criss-cross cutters him and lariats Trick over the top.

Joe fallaway slams Kaz then catches Trick's crossbody, backrolls and fallaway slams him. Mike tags himself in and spinning lariats Kaz to steal the win.

Thoughts: It was a fine main event. The faces won as expected here. It wasn't anyone's best work or anything but they did enough here.

Mike has words for Joe after then Trick comes in and holds the title up at them.

We then cut to a woodshop of of some sorts with a TNA chest. We see clips of AJ Styles and see AJ's gear in the chest then a Slammiversary logo.

Overall thoughts: It was a little better than usual here and I'd say it was a good Impact overall. Moose got nasty with Sami Callihan. We had 2 matches that were cancelled due to Dark State attacks. Tessa/Dani was fine and the main was alright. I do think they need to be careful about calling people old and washed up though as The Hardy's and Sami Callihan will be around for the foreseeable future and you don't want to bury them. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall but didn't think it was must see.
