WWE NXT Level Up 9/30/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/09/wwe-nxt-level-up-9232022.html

Ru Feng vs Javier Bernal

Ru's working face here after not being seen for a while. Ru hits some kicks early and Ru shoulders him over. Ru armdrags him. Ru goes up and over in the corner and aramdrags him then Ru kicks him in the back and basement dropkicks him. Ru is dropkicked and goes into the middle buck then JB lariats him.

Ru rolls him up and is slammed and elbow dropped. JB sliding lariats him then JB running boots him. JB pounds on him form the mount and chinlocks him. Ru backdrops him  then hits some shots and a kick to the face. Ru spin kicks him then suplexes him. Ru pops him up into a knee for 2. JB jumping flatliners him for the win.

Nothing bad about this but nothing particularly interesting or special either. Ru working as a face was something different, but he doesn't have a lot of physical personality to him and it's hard to see him going anywhere.

Guru Raaj and Ikemen Jiro are interviewed. They are asked about how they understand each other. Then they have Raaj cut a promo and then have Jiro respond to him in his own language. They then talk about the universal language of wrestling and that's it.

Valentina Feroz vs Thea Hail

Feroz wristlocks her then Thea rolls through it. Thea wristlocks her then Feroz rolls and kips up out of it then rolls her. Thea throws her then crossbodies her. Thea standing moonsaults her for 2 then Feroz meteora's her and shoulder throws her. Feroz hits a nice suplex then Thea tries to throw her while in the cravate but Feroz hangs on.

Thea slams her and makes her comeback. She hits a bad corner splash then flipping neckbreakers her. Feroz spears her for 2. Feroz sleeperholds her and Thea backrolls her into a pin and wins it in a surprise victory.

This was one of the better things both girls have ever been involved in and both looked pretty good here. Nothing wrong with this one at all.

Edris Enofe and Malik Blade vs Ikemen Jiro and Guru Raaj

This could be good. Raaj can go in the ring as can everyone else.

Blade is wearing his sweater and Jiro is wearing his jacket while wrestling. Blade knocks him over, Jiro kips up and poses. Blade hits a nice dropkick then does his own little taunt with the sweater. They say the sweater is in honor of Blade's father somehow. Jiro is tripped into a facekick and lariat. They say Enofe and Blade have a podcast and that's the first I've ever heard of it. I checked it out and it's terrible.

Enofe takes a double team and rolls out then Raaj hits a nice punch and kick combo on Blade. Blade takes a monkey flip and Raaj hits a nice dropkick on him. Blade then plancha's Raaj on the floor after he tries to pull Enofe off the apron and fails. Blade armdrags Raaj then Enofe does a neat bounce into the ropes with an armdrag on Raaj.

Blade walks up the ropes and springboard armdrags Raaj. Raaj is thrown hard into the buckles chest-first then Enofe corner splashes him. Blade corner splashes Raaj then Enofe tries to compete with Blade on who can splash from further away. Enofe misses his splash then Raaj makes the tag and Jiro gets in. Jiro springboard chops him, hits Blade on the apron and hits jacket punches. Jiro then mocks Blade and Enofe's jumping distance thing and slingshot dropkicks Enofe on the ropes. Jiro top rope swantons Enofe for 2, which I was surprised by.

Raaj is thrown into the steps and Enofe tags in Blade. Jiro takes "the climax", a blockbuster + samoan drop combo and Blade/Enofe win it.

It was fine though these two teams really could have had a good one if they had more time and if they were on a different shot.

Overall thoughts: Two of the three matches were decent with the women putting on a good performance. I wouldn't recommend this though.
