WWE NXT Level Up 10/7/2022

WWE NXT Level Up 10/7/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/10/wwe-nxt-level-up-9302022.html

Nigel McGuinness is on commentary here. This was taped and he was fired today, so this may be his last appearance.

Indi Hartwell vs Sloane Jacobs

If this is anything but a disaster, I'll be surprised.

They appear to immediately mess up a spot and Indi headlock takeovers her. Indi blocks a hiptoss and takes a basement dropkick. Indi euro uppercuts and facekicks Sloane while she is over the middle rope. Indi slams her then cravates her.

Sloane blocks a pain attempt and gets one of her own, then she high kicks her. Sloane twisting crossbodies her off the 2nd rope then Indi spinebusters her for the win.

This was short, they didn't get to do that much and what they did do wasn't too good.

Kianna James and Arianna Grace are interviewed. They safe they are excited to show the word what they are capable of. They say underestimating them can result in a huge loss as their stock is only going up. Grace says it's nice to have someone reliable in her corner and says James' brains are hard to come by. They said something like a small portion of people are smart, but the locker room is small and they like their odds.

Myles Borne vs Guru Raaj

They said Raaj was the first opponent of Borne's career and Raaj was the winner of it. Borne takes him down then does a nice job riding him into a gator roll. Raaj rolls out of a wristlock then backslides him for 2. Raaj side headlocks him and dropkicks him as he is seated. Raaj hits a nice dropkick for 2.

Raaj hits corner spears then top rope double axe handles him for 2. Raaj hits some kicks and punches while Borner is down then Borne catches his boot. Borne hits a great dropkick then belly to belly suplexe shim. He rolls and hangs on into a vertical suplex and rolls into a pin for 2. Borne hits another nice dropkick for 2.

Raaj kicks him in the chest then running facekicks him. Raaj comes off the top and is caught with a flatliner for the Myles Borne win. Borne backflips after.

This was fun. Borne probably had his best outing so far and continues to look like another NXT super rookie. He's just so smooth on the mat and hits great dropkicks.

Borne and Raaj handshake after.

Arianna Grace and Kiana James vs Fallon Henley and Sol Ruca

Grace has new gear and music. Not sure if the shiny red and gold gear fits her, but you can tell it was expensive. Sol has cool surf rock music and has a nice light orange/ white and black color combo on.

James and Fallon starts us off. James hits a knee then is knocked over with a chop. Grace is tagged in and armdragged, then takes a kick to the head. Fallon slides out and punches her on the ropes. Sol gets in and shoulders grace over then does a nice and new cartwheel into a moonsault on her. Sol avoids a double lariat and shoulders both opponents over.

Grace grabs Sol by the hair in the corner and James spears Sol. Grace running back elbows Sol in the corner then James ties up Sol in the ropes and pulls on her. James does a bad leapfrog over Grace to land on Sol on the ropes. Grace ties up Sol's chin and arm then stomach claws her. Sol dropkicks Grace and James stops Sol's tag. Sol is hung on the ropes again but Fallon pulls the ropes down and James falls out. Sol leg sweeps Grace and tags out.

Fallon gets in and running lariats Grace then does some facebuster. Sol kicks James off the apron then Fallon hits the shining wizard on Grace to win it.

It was on the shorter side. It wasn't anything too special.

Overall thoughts: Not a great episode with really only the Borne/Raaj match being good.
