WWE Saturday Morning Slam 3/2/2013 Review

WWE Saturday Morning Slam 3/2/2013 Review

Last week's show is here: http://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2013/02/wwe-saturday-morning-slam-2232013-review.html

Cody Rhodes and Josh Mathews are your commentators for today's show.

They announced that Booker T would be looking for a new GM for Saturday Morning Slam.

Damien Sandow made his case to be the new Saturday Morning Slam GM. Him being smart and well spoken actually makes him a pretty good candidate. On paper he looks better than Booker T. He said he had "the patience of Ghandi".

Zack Ryder came out and said he should be the Head Broski in Charge. Zack said he was better because he is the internet champion and he was the assistant general manager on Smackdown.

Damien Sandow vs Zack Ryder
"The leader of Team Rhodes Scholars? That team was leaderless. It was like a round table." - Cody Rhodes on who was the leader.
The pin
Cody Rhodes was on commentary and he got involved near the end to distract Ryder for the Sandow win. Pretty much a nothing match with no big moments and just simple wrestling. Half of it was cut by a commercial as well.

"Please do not try this. Leave it up to us." - R-Truth

R-Truth did a don't try this at home with Little Jimmy. Though the weird thing was, he was teaching Little Jimmy how to do a manuever. So you shouldn't do this if you aren't a pro but Truth will teach you how to anyway?

Watch Damien's face in the back
Damien Sandow told Booker T he should be the General Manager because of his brains. Zack Ryder jumped in, as did Dolph Ziggler and AJ. Natalya then came in, followed by R-Truth and Daniel Bryan. DB then screamed yes and said he should be GM.

Antonio Cesaro vs Justin Gabriel
"There were no school buses in Switzerland." - Cody Rhodes
"He would actually bike two miles and run the third mile to school." - Josh Mathews
Antonio Cesaro won with the Neutralizer. Pretty good match here but they cut away from Cesaro's throwing of his opponent into a uppercut along with Cesaro's other uppercuts which is a wrestling sin if there ever was one. Gabriel hit a big moonsault to the outside here and Cesaro did a cool backbreaker. The camera work ruined the match but the wrestling was good. Rating:***

There was no announcement for who is the Saturday Morning Slam General Manager.

Overall thoughts: Show was fine for what it was though I expecting a GM to be announced. Cesaro vs Gabriel was pretty good but I would have rather seen it on Superstars.
