J5e Tokushoryu (6-7) vs J8w Takanoyama (5-8)
Takanoyama was able to get some thrusts from under and was able to use his arm pulling technique to win.
M11w Jokoryu (8-5) vs M9w Yoshikaze (8-5)
Yoshikaze went flying all around here enroute to losing as Jo was under him and just had too good of a grip.
S1e Goeido (8-5) vs M7e Okinoumi (10-3)
Goeido constantly had Oki off here and tipped him over near the edge where Oki finally went out.
K1w Aminishiki (5-8) vs S1w Baruto (8-5)
Baruto was off balance and his overhead grip didn't help him en route to losing.
M4w Shohozan (7-6) vs O2w Kotoshogiku (7-6)
Koto bumrushed Shohozan and from there it was all toast. Shohozan just tried to survive here until he couldn't any longer.
Y1e Harumafuji (9-4) vs O1e Kisenosato (8-5)
Kisenosato overpowered Harumafuji here and got a rather easy upset win. Haruma tried to go back on his taped up left foot but there was nothing there and he was cooked.
O2e Kakuryu (8-5) vs Y1w Hakuho (13-0)
Hakuho is 25-2 against Kakauryu.
Hakuho was very aggressive here and was not playing around at all. He went for a whip and it didn't work but he then rushed Kakuryu out.
