WWE Monday Night Raw 3/4/2013 Results and Review

Welcome to WWE Old School Raw. I will post WWE Old School Raw results here.

They had the old WWF intro with "The recognized symbol of excellence" and had the old lettering for the announcers plus the old big RAW letters.

The Undertaker returned to Monday Night Raw.

CM Punk challenged The Undertaker to a match at Wrestlemania. He said, "I will beat the Undertaker at Wrestlemania"

Randy Orton came out.

Randy Orton said he wanted to fight The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. Big Show then said he wanted the match and then Sheamus said her wanted the match. Sheamus said he never fought Undertaker so he should challenge him.

Vickie Guerrerro announced a Fatal 4-Way match to decide who faces The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. It will be Randy Orton vs Sheamus vs CM Punk vs The Big SHow.

Tonight, there will be a point-counterpoint with John Cena and the Rock. There will also be a segment with Triple H addressing Brock Lesnar.

Ryback vs Antonio Cesaro

"I'm Antonio Cesaro. I speak 5 different languages - German, Italian, French, Swiss and of course English. Like most of you, Ryback barely speaks one." - Cesaro

Antonio Cesaro said he won't carry the American Flag anymore as he said the fans don't care. Cesaro cut an inset promo and called Ryback a neanderthal and said he can speak 5 languages.

Antonio Cesaro has new and basic gear that they said he made himself. Really, it is just to get away from the American flag waving gimmick and real American gimmick.

Ryback beat Antonio Cesaro with a Shellshock. Not much to this really before Ryback got the win.

Ryback and Mark Henry had a staredown.

Ryback vs Zack Ryder
Mark Henry beat Zack Ryder in about 30 seconds with a World's Strongest Slam.

Miz's microphone didn't work and King said, that's old school, the microphone never worked then!

Dolph Ziggler vs The Miz

Miz brought out his mentor, Ric Flair.

Miz and Ric Flair strutted around early as Miz got the advantage.

They announced Fandango would debut tonight and Smackdown would have Dolph Ziggler vs Alberto Del Rio.

King said AJ Lee hit him with a coffee cup and he was mugged. Cold called Dolph Ziggler's sleeper a sleeperlock.

The Miz won with a figure four leglock. Flair fought with Big E Langston near the end of the match hitting chops and hitting Big E with his jacket. The match was decent but there were a lot of commercials and it wasn't anything too too special. The focus was mostly on Flair.

Point Counterpoint with John Cena and The Rock

The Rock said he was in Panama where it is 95 degrees everyday. Donna asked him about if he needed a jacket at the airport and he asked what she was talking about. He said he had too much electricity because of Raw to need a jacket. He said, "Sweet harlem shaking Honey Boo Boo it's cold here". He also said "there were icicles on the people's nipples".

John Cena came out.

John Cena talked about failing against The Rock last year and said The Rock wouldn't know about it. Nah, The Rock lost twice to Steve Austin at Wrestlemania, but he wouldn't know.

Cena cut a bs promo about collapsing and not being able to talk to the people due to losing to The Rock. I seem to remember him being pretty cool about it and not thinking twice.

The Rock said he wanted to fight John Cena only and knew how Cena felt.

The Rock said it matters and at Wrestlemania, Cena isn't getting redemption. He's getting his ass kicked.

Cena quoted Mike Tyson. He said, "I norder to be the greatest that ever lived, you have to beat everyone living".  Cena said he beat all roadblocks but not The Rock. He said "At Wrestlemania, your time is up. My time is now".

Rock said, "Winning is about heart. You just gotta have it in the right place". He then said "Lance Armstrong said it. He was full of crap and so are you".

The Rock said "The biggest difference between you and me is, you think you can beat me, I know I can beat you. At Wrestlemania in front of the world, I will beat you again".

I liked the promo though they did make some odd references, especially since the Rock is on something for his physique/ability as Armstrong was. In case you don't watch cycling, most of the people during that time and still today cheat and use PED's, though Armstrong sued people and really did hurt some people over it while others didn't go that far. I believe the Tyson reference was just because he's been tight with WWE for a while now.

They showed The Undertaker's return to Raw again.

Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs Jack Swagger
Jack was DQ'd in seconds for using the 2by4. He then hit Sgt. Slaughter and Dusty Rhodes with the 2by4 and put Duggan in the Patriot Act ankle lock.

Josh Mathews tried to interview Swagger and Swagger and Del Rio got into it:

Team Hell No vs The Prime Time Players
Hell No beat the PTP's on Raw and the PTP's got the win back on Smackdown.

The PTP's got Ted Dibiase as their manager since they are both about millions of dollars. If the PTP's win, Dibiase will be their manager.

Team Hell No won with a chokeslam on DY. After the match, The Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase put money in Darren Young's mouth. Not much to this here.

They showed The Honky Tonk Man backstage.

3MB vs Tensai and Brodus Clay

Honky Tonk Man came down and Heath Slater took his mic away. The fat boys won in seconds with a roll up.

After the match, The Honky Tonk Man hit Heath Slater with his guitar and they danced to Honky's music.

Fandango vs Kofi Kingston
This is Fandango's debut match. Who is Fandango? He is Johnny Curtis. He's pretty good as a wrestler and was on Smackdown for a while but had an awful gimmick and they are repackaging him.

Fandango refused to wrestle because he said Justin Roberts couldn't say his name right. He said everyone will remember this night for the day they almost saw Fandango. Fandango had a dancer with him in white.

Triple H addresses Brock Lesnar

Triple H talked about seeing Vince McMahon in the hospital. He said it was his reason to come back. He called Vince a "crazy ass old man" and said he was ready when Brock went to get Vince.

Triple H said he was calling Brock Lesnar out. Triple H asked for Triple H vs Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania.

He asked Brock Lesnar if he will "sit up and fight or sit there and bleed".

They showed a commercial for the Bret Hart DVD with Sheamus watching it to relax.

The Shield cut a promo about Sheamus and Orton forgetting about them at Wrestlemania.

The Shield said they are undefeated like Taker at Wrestlemania. Reigns said Big Show won't get a cheap shot in again.

Wade Barrett vs Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio beat Wade Barrett with an armbar. Jack Swagger and Zeb Coulter came down to watch and they stared down with Alberto. The match wasn't bad but it was pretty quick and they didn't get to show too much.

They said Real American's call you out and will stand up for the people.

The New Age Outlaws vs Primo and Epico

Billy Gunn got the win with the Fameasser. Pretty quick match here with the Outlaws getting their spots in and Rosa getting on the screen before the win.

They were celebrating Mae Young's 90th birthday when CM Punk came out and headed to the ring.

Winner fights The Undertaker at Wrestlemania - CM Punk vs The Big Show vs Sheamus vs Randy Orton

CM Punk won with a GTS on Orton. The match wasn't bad and had lots of finishers. It will be CM Punk vs The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. After the match, The Undertaker stared down CM Punk.

Overall thoughts: The wrestling wasn't much but it did have lots of nostalgia and The Rock's promo was good and HHH's was short atleast. The highlight though was seeing The Undertaker.
