We are here in Miami, Florida. Jesse Ventura and Vince McMahon welcome us to the show. Jesse said Vince is the only man he knows that wears a sports jacket on the beach in Miami. Jesse said Jack Tunney announces the main event of Wrestlemania 6 tonight. He said he has the inside information on it but he ain't talking.

 Vince runs down the line-up for this show.

 Tom Stone vs Roddy Piper

 

 

 

"That's a guy that's not all there McMahon." - Jesse

 

Piper is acting wild and lariats Tom over several times. Tom hits punches back and Piper just walks away from it. Piper hits a punch flurry and snapmares him. Piper then bangs Tom's head off the mat. Piper hits punches then running double axe handles him. Piper wins by pinning him with one foot on the chest.

Piper was in rare form here acting like a mad man and winning quick fashion.

WWF Update with Mean Gene Okerlund

"At this time, I happy to announce the main event which will be World Wrestling Federation Champion Hulk Hogan will meet the Intercontinental Champion, the Ultimate Warrior. Unquestionably, this is the greatest main event ever signed in World Wrestling Federation history." - Jack Tunney

We hear Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior challenge each other for Wrestlemania VI. We then go to Jack Tunney's office, where he officially announces Hulk Hogan vs The Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania VI.

He said it has not yet been determined which title will be on the line.

Hercules vs Carl Nelson

Herc swings his chain during his entrance and Carl runs out. Herc pushes him back then side headlocks him. Carl gets a shot in and Herc hits some of his own. Herc snapmares and elbow drops him. Herc lariats him then wins it with a torture rack.

It was a quick squash and wasn't that interesting. 

Dino Bravo vs Terry Bronson

Jesse says Dino will feel at home at Wrestlemania 6 in Canada. Danny Davis is the ref here. Dino hits headbutts to the chest and hits a big punch. Dino boots him in the gut then atomic drops him. Dino, Jimmy Hart and Earthquake do an inset promo. Dino says he be the Intercontinental champ when Wrestlemania comes around.

Terry is thrown out and takes a nice rolling bump to the apron and floor. Dino piledrivers him then hits a side slam. Dino then picks up the win.

It was another short squash. Dino's inset promo was hard to make out and didn't make a ton of sense to me.

Earthquake butt drops Terry after. 

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

Sean hypes up tonight's Boston Garden show. Rick Rude is hanging upside down from the cage and is talking about his cage match with Piper tonight. He said he hopes Piper is in shape because he doesn't want to finish him off right away. He said he wants to play with him. He said it's like killing a fly - you rip the legs off, then the wing then you squash it. Rude then says the cage is his house and he will him inside. Boy, I don't think that promo is ever going to be re-used.

The Rockers do a promo. He said Mr. Fuji was down on the mat and challenging The Rockers the last time they saw him. They said they are coming after him. Marty says the Powers of Pain are big enough to take care of themselves and tell them to keep Mr. Fuji out of the way.

We see a Nintendo promo with Dusty Rhodes and Sapphire.

"Rugged" Ronnie Garvin vs Pete Sanchez

They lock up and Ron knees him in the butt. Jesse said he's not sure who will win between Warrior and Hulk at WM6. Ron throws him by the hair then chops him up. Ron bangs Pete's head off the top buckle. Ron rolls him up then stomps his foot.

Ron headbutts him then is eye poked. Ron headbutts him again then hits a big chop. Ron suplexes him and Jesse rips Ron's haircut, calling it a throwback haircut. Ron hits the garvin stomp then sharpshooters him for the win.

It was an okay squash with Ron looking tough here. Ron had some good looking strikes here.

Jimmy Hart is with Rhythm and Blues. They said they have the featured article in the WWF Magazine. Honky says that's not good enough and they want to be on the cover.

The Brother Love Show

He says his guest is a man with style and class. He says this person has a dynamic personality and personifies "male model". He then brings out Rick "The Model" Martel.

Rick is carrying an object under a silk towel. Love wants to know what it is. Ric says Brother Love always has style and is always color coordinated. He says it's a great moment for The Model and his fans and he shows us an Arrogance sprayer. He said if the people are lucky, he might spray some his way. He said then the people can smell this lovely scent. Rick sprays some and Love seems to enjoy it. Rick says it's a swell smell that makes sense. Rick says it's the new obsession and will be everybody's fashion for eternity.

Mr. Perfect vs Scotty Williams

The Genius recites a poem about Brutus Beefcake then brings Mr. Perfect out. A fan sign calls Perfect "Mr. Defect". Perfect slaps Scotty then Scotty clubs on him. Perfect hits some rough knee lifts then drops down on his leg. Perfect toe holds him and works on him on the ropes.

Perfect yanks his leg back. Mr. Perfect and The Genius do an inset. He asks what the fuss is about the WM6 Mania event as he says he will defending the World Title in the WM6 main. Perfect toe holds Scotty again then hits a perfectplex for the win.

Perfect really roughed up ol' Scotty here and looked pretty vicious.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

He hypes up the 2/26/90 Worcester Centrum show. They advertise "Tugboat Thomas", who would later just be called Tugboat. Warrior's facing Bravo and Quake on that show. Demolition do a promo about The Colossal Connection. Ax says Andre is big and strong and Haku is nasty. He said they can beat them anytime and anyplace. Smash says they put Andre down before, so he knows he can go down. Smash says he will shove Andre's foot down Haku's throat.

Jimmy Hart, Earthquake and Dino Bravo do a promo. They say The Ultimate Warrior is crazy for facing them 1v2. Bravo says Warrior is willing to jeopardize his career. He says he can't think and has nothing in brain. He says Warrior's brain and body will be empty after this.

Ted Dibiase and Virgil do a promo. He says his feud with Jake started a long time ago. He said Jake put his hands on his money and he sent him to the hospital. He said when Jake couldn't get revenge, he stole his Million Dollar Belt. Ted says The Big Boss Man was bought and paid for but wouldn't take his money. He said only a fool would do that. He says Boss Man is an accessory to the crime and says both have the same dues to pay. He says anyone who crosses him will pay the ultimate price.

Demolition vs The Powers of Pain

No intro for The Powers of Pain. Jesse compares it to Jason taking on Freddy Krueger. Jesse said this one is a toss-up.

Barb and Smash lock up then Barb knees him in the gut. Barb punches him then Smash pounds on Barb. Ax clubs Barb and double axe handles him. Barb then is clubbed by both Ax and Smash. Ax cranks Barb's head, Smash gets near Fuji outside and Warlord gets between them.

Smash hits shots on Barb then nails Warlord on the apron. Barb then drops Smash with a shot and clubs him. Warlord holds Smash for a headbutt to the back from Barb. Smash is double clubbed on. Warlord chokes Smash on the ropes. Smash back elbows Barb out of the corner then lariats him.

Ax is tagged in and hits shots on both PoP's. Ax lariats Warlord then slams Barb. Ax elbow drops Barb for 2. The PoP's are thrown into each other then both take lariats. Fuji throws his cane in. Warlord goes to use it and Ax double axe handles him off the buckles. Smash uses the cane on both PoP members. Demolition with via DQ.

It was pretty much all clubs and double axe handles here. The shots looked fine and all, but there wasn't a lot else. Good reffing here as the ref DQ'd the PoP's just for having the cane.

WWF Event Center with Sean Mooney

He hypes up the 2/10/1990 Boston Garden show. Macho King Randy Savage and Sherri are arguing. Macho tells her to shut up. He says he's going to make a little surprise out of him because he's a real little person. Sherri says they will finish Rhodes and Sapphire. Savage says Dusty can't roll back time and can't take back what he did. Sherri then screams more.

Roddy Piper does a promo behind the cage. He said Rick Rude thinks he's Batman. He said he's ugly enough to be a bat. Piper says he's coming straight ahead of him and said he will find out what Noriega felt like. 

They hype up next week's show.

Bobby Heenan says Beefcake is dead wrong if he thinks he will cut Rude's hair. Rude said to watch and see how he will make Beefcake look like chopped liver. Beefcake says he has a bad reputation as he goes crazy sometimes. He said Rude could have a rude awakening too and wake up totally bald.

Overall thoughts: They did a good job of hyping up Wrestlemania VI here and I liked them pushing that Perfect and Bravo could spoil the main event of it with wins. The main was a rare star vs star match but it was all basic strikes. Piper was a sight here and Ron Garvin had a good squash. I liked Beefcake's promo at the end. I thought it was a fun show overall but not great.
