AEW Dynamite 6/29/2022 Blood and Guts

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/06/aew-dynamite-6222022.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/07/aew-dynamite-762022.html

We have an unusual, off-center camera angle here as we have two rings for Blood and Guts tonight.

Orange Cassidy vs Ethan Page

OC has new theme music. Dan Lambert talks on the mic ahead of time and ays he is surprised OC is strong enough to get his jeans up. Dan says the Best Friends have to show their managers license or else they shouldn't be out here. They were then kicked out.

Page mocks OC's pocket gesture. Page walks on OC and OC counters a hiptoss with an armdrag. OC then topes him into the rails then top rope crossbodies him. Page then makes OC spin with a shoulder. Page then suplexes him. OC goes outside and Lambert does his weak kicks to him. Page uppercuts him and prances around. Page backbreakers him. OC sunset flips him but can't finish it then he is brainbustered. Page goes for razor's edge but OC gets out by putting his hands in his pockets.

Page is pushed into tbe buckles and OC trips him. Page then gorilla presses him into a powerslam. OC counters a suplex with a cutter. Lambert gets on the apron. OC teases slapping him but doesn't then takes a sip of his drink. OC then hits Page and spits juice in Lambert's eyes. OC slams Page and wins this.

I didn't think it was anything special and losing to OC doesn't help Page.

Christian Cage is interviewed. He said he is sorry Jungle Boy's entire family isn't dead, well except for his mom and he motioned for her to call him. Cage called the fans "Motor City sweathogs". Cage said he requested a match this week but said it isn' for him. He then brought out Luchasaurus with new music and black gear.

Luchasaurus vs Serpentico

Lucha headbutts him early and wheelbarrow germans him. Lucha does some spinning tombstone variation and wins via submission in no time at all.

Lucha then chokeslammed Serpentico on the floor after.

Scorpio Sky and Wardlow do an interview. Sky said the last time Wardlow came after him, he laid him out. Tony said he got assistance during it. Wardlow says he is done talking and told him to bring every member of American Top Team and he will beat them up like security guards. He then said he will take the TNT Title from Sky and Sky challenged him to a street fight for it next week.

Max Caster and The Gunn Club vs Danhausen and FTR

Max accused Danhausen of being a juggalo and said he would make him drink Flint tap water. Dan said he found someone pretty good at wrestling and brought out FTR.

Austin shoulders Cash early then Cash back body drops him. Austin takes an atomic drop then Cash spanks him. Dax suplexes Austin then Dan top rope hurricanrana's Coleten. Dan hiptosses his opponents then Colten lariats him over. We go to PiP break and return. Dan release northern lights suplexes Max then takes a big Colten dropkick. Dax gets in and hits Austin and Max with punches. The Gunns are then german suplexed three times in a row.

Cash planchas Colten then Dax hits more germans on Austin. Ausin and Dax blow a neckbreaker. Bowens gets in and tries to hit Danhausen with a crutch but he ducks and Austin gets nailed instead. Dan then picks up the win.

This match really wasn't anything special or noteworthy.

FTR destroy Bowens' wheel chair after and the Acclaimed and Gunns argue. Billy pushes Austin down after.

Lethal, Singh and Dutt do a promo. Lethal asks how long it will take for Samoa Joe the defend the ROH TV Title against him. Singh says Jay is going to kill him.

TBS Title - Jade Cargill vs Leila Grey

Jade hooks her by the arm early and hits knees in her gut. Jade throws her from her shoulder then Grey rolls her up. Grey gets thrown off on her bulldog attempt and Jade hits a big pump kick. Jade then hits a double chicken wing bomb and wins it.

This was just a squash as Jade goes to 34-0.

Jade gets on the mic after. She tells Stokeley she wants real competition next time. Stokeley said Jade put up an open contract but nobody wanted to sign it then said Kris Statlander and Athena are just lazy. Kris and Athena run down into the ring and Grey pushes Athena off the top rope after Stokeley whispers something in her ear. Grey offers to shake Stokeley's hand after but Jade pushes the hand down and walks off.

They announce that they will return for Grand Slam in New York again.

The Young Bucks did a promo. They said the tag belts are their only friends. They said they heard Goto and Yoshi-Hashi wanted a tag title shot. They said they have to beat them on Rampage first. They pronounced Goto's name wrong in a lame promo.

Jim Ross comes out to do commentary for Blood and Guts.

Blood and Guts Cage Match - The Jericho Appreciation Society (Angelo Parker, Chris Jericho, Daniel Garcia, Hager, Matt Menard, & Sammy Guevara) vs. The Blackpool Combat Club (AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta) & Eddie Kingston, Ortiz, & Santana

Jericho's team all wore red fishnet shirts, fedoras and long pants. Ortiz painted his head whie and red. Cesaro and Sammy start us off. Sammy tries to leap over him and gets flipped over. Cesaro hits some corner moves and hits some uppercuts and chops. Sammy then takes a wild bump over the top rope onto the other rope. Sammy climbs the cage to escape and gets crotched and stuck in the ropes. Sammy then uses the ropes to get away and flips him off. Sammy then is popped up and hits a cutter on his way down.

Sammy kisses Tay through the cage then Cesaro goes to give him a giant swing but Daniel Garcia is in and stops it. Garcia is wearing a doo rag and looks silly. Cesaro euro's both opponents in the corners then takes a jumping knee from Sammy. Cesaro suplexes both guys then is beat up on the ropes and choked. Wheeler Yuta is the next man in. Yuta flying elbows Sammy then hits germans on Garcia then Sammy. Sammy then takes a euro uppercut + german. Cesaro puts a shirt around Garcia's neck and throws him, then throws him into the cage.

Hager is nxt in. He catches Yuta off the top and slams him. Cearo the gorilla presses and throws Sammy into the other ring. Cesaro and Hager stare down and go face to face. Yuta gets speared by Hager against the cage then Yuta top rope dropkicks Hager. Hager slams Cesaro then Mox comes in wit ha chair. He throws the chair at Hager then lariats Garcia and Sammy at the same time in the corner. Mox release suplexes Sammy then  pulls on Garcia's face. Yuta trips Sammy into a chair then Mox puts a fork in Garcia's head. Garcia is busted open then is held up for a hart attack move. Sammy then gets gorilla pressed into a cutter and Yuta top rope frogsplashes Sammy.

The faces all elbow flurry their opponents then Angelo Parker comes in. Parker gets cornered and rolls to the other ring. He gets caught by Cesaro and gutwrenched. Parker takes euro uppercuts from different opponents then Hager chairs Cesaro. Ortis comes in and lariats his opponents. Ortiz looks so like a mix between Archie and a Kiss member and looks totally dumb. Ortiz powerbombs Sammy and Cesaro throws Sammy into Hager. Garcia is thrown int othe cage and Mox spills out broken glass. Mox piledrivers Parker on it.

Mox sticks glass into Hager's head. Cesaro gets crotched on the top rope then Mox is thrown into the cage. Matt Menard gets in and chairs Yuta and Ortiz. Mox then gets stomped 3v1. Ortiz takes a double ddt and Mox gets suplexed near a chair. Garcia takes a chair shot from Yuta and Parker eye rakes Yuta. Santana comes in with a table and barbed wire bat then backdrops Menard and uranage's Garcia.

Parker gets hit near the camera man and tries to grab him. Someone then takes a pop-up euro from Cesaro. Mox forks Menard and shoves skewer sticks into Menard's head. Yuta and Garcia slap each other and Menard chokes Mox with the barbed wire bat. Jericho comes in with his had and a bat. Ortiz ddt's him. Sammy top rope cutters Ortiz then is german'd by Yuta. Cesaro hits an alphamare waterslide on Hager then pop-up euro's Garcia. Jericho codebreakers Cesaro.

Eddie Kingston is the last man in with a kendo stick and the match begins. He swats away opponents and has his eyes locked on Jericho. He traps Jericho in the corner and beats him with the kendo stick. He grabs rubbing alcohol but is pushed into the cage by Hager. Ortiz chairs Hager then Tay tries to give jericho rubbing alcohol. It can't really fit in the cage though and Jericho gets it sprayed on him in a funny spot. Garcia takes a doomsday device then Cesaro facekicks someone against the cage. Hager then gets powerbombed through a table.

Tacks are spilled on the mat and Cesaro pulls off the canvas and mat. Mox suplexes Menard on tacks. Somehow, someone hangs off the cage on the outside and Mox puts more tacks in Menard's back. Eddie and Cesaro superplex someone together on the exposed mat but land on it themselves. Jericho supposedly sprays Mox in the eyes with rubbing alcohol and hits a judas effect. This happens during an ad break. Jericho puts tacks in Mox's head and somehow Mox goes into the tacks. Jericho drags Mox's back in tacks and puts him in the boston crab in them. Eddie gets tacks and throws them at Jericho's face.

Eddie flurries on Jericho then Jericho grabs a fire extinguisher. He misses but Eddie walks into it. Tay takes out the ref and gets the key to the cage. Ruby Soho then gets in and Tazz calls her Ruby Riott. They fight and Jericho climbs to the top of the cage. Eddie follows. Eddie and Jericho fight on top of the cage then uraken's him. Sammy Guevarra climbs up the cage as Eddie says he wants to throw Jerich off the cage. Eddie low blows Sammy and throws Sammy off onto a crash pad. Eddie chases Jericho on the cage and they hockey fight. They trade chops then punches.  Jericho boston crabs him up there then Cesaro goes up the cage. Matt Menard then goes up top on the cage. Cesaro giant swings Jericho on top of the cage and Menard hits Cesaro from behind. Eddie has Jericho in the stretch plum and Cesaro sharpshooters Menard. Menard taps out and Eddie is wondering what hapened. Eddie is upset he didn't get to beat Jericho and Eddie holds his head in his hands.

Ortiz climbs up top the cage then Yuta does as well. Mox then heads up. They all pose and celebrate then the ref gets up there as well. Santana noticeably does not join them.

The match was good. The camera's missed some shots and while there was more blood and deathmatch stuff than last time, I didn't think it was as good as the last one. The ending wasn't that great and the bump off the cage was an obvious bump onto a crash pad. Obviously, they don't want anyone to get hurt, but it is business exposing. They did a good job making it feel like everyone hated each other. They did a good job with the blood and they pushed the Jericho/Eddie story as well as they could.

Overall thoughts: It was a one match show. The rest of the stuff wasn't that important and really didn't matter. The cage match was worth seeing and was very good, and that's really all that mattered.

Dramatic Dream Team 5/29/2022 What Are You Doing? 2022 Tour in Kumamoto

Dramatic Dream Team 5/29/2022 What Are You Doing? 2022 Tour in Kumamoto

I saw 6 of the 7 matches.

MAO vs Toi Kojima

Toi shoulders him over then Mao counters his hiptoss with an armdrag. They try to dropkick each other at the same time then kip up at the same time. Toi hits chops and yells for him to come on. Mao distracts him then hits a nice punch then fistdrops him. Mao octopus stretches him then Toi hits a dropkick. Top hits another nice dropkick then PK's him for 2.

Mao shimmies and does a fantastic escape out of a bear hug then Toi brainbusters him. They trade forearms then Mao tries another distraction, but Toi distracts him and punches him. The two trade shots then kicks with Toi hitting an inverted enzugiri then Mao dropkicks him. Toi triangle enzugiri's Mao. Toi comes off the top and meets a Mao dropkick. Mao high kicks him and standing moonsault double kneedrops him. Mao then michinoku drivers him and wins it.

This was a good one. Mao used his cleverness here. His distraction punches were cool, he hit a clean moonsault double knee and I loved his bearhug escape. Toi did his part and didn't look out of place at all and it ended up being good.

Akito & Hideki Okatani vs. Shinya Aoki & Shunma Katsumata

Akito and Aoki start us off.  They go holds for holds on the mat. Oka and Shunma go at it and Shunma hits some armdrags. Oka hits a dangerous looking back body drop on him. Shunma hits a nice dropkick on Oka and Aoki tries pins on Oka. Akito and Shunma trade forearms then Shunma top rope dropkicks him. Akito criss-crosses Shunma then slides under and takes a double stomp.

Akito iconoslams Shunma and Oka bulldogs Shunma. Oka flpajacks Shunma then larias him for 2. Shunma superkicks Oka then Oka northern lights suplexes Aoki. Shunma accidentally superkicks his own partner then Oka running forearms Aoki for 2. Oka then butterfly suplexes him and Aoki tries some pin attempts before putting him down to win it.

This had some fast paced action and wasn't bad, but it was shorter and not that noteworthy.

Saki Akai vs Maya Yukihi

Maya pulls her on the handshake and they trade fast forearms. Maya dropkicks her then does a cool neck pulling move while Saki is in the ropes. Maya then knees her as she is in the ropes and Saki back kicks her. Maya then rolls her into a grounded arm hold. Maya gets stuck near the ropes and is kicked out. Saki then PK's her from the apron.

Saki stpe kicks Maya then Maya kick combos her. They trade facekicks then Saki downs her with another. Maya hits a nice top rope dropkick for 2. Saki top rope suplexes her. They trade pinfall attempts then Saki high kicks her and buzzsaw kicks her. Saki takes a knee then a bad exploder. Maya then flying knees her for 2. Maya then puts her in an interesting head and arm choke and wins it.

This was short but good. The girls matched up well against each other.

Eruption (Kazusada Higuchi & Yukio Sakaguchi) & Yuya Koroku vs. DAMNATION T.A (Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul)

Damnation attacks after intros and everyone brawls. Higuchi shoulders over Sasaki early. Yuya tries for a 2nd rope lariat but Sasaki turns it into a crossface. Everyone goes outside and Yuya gets choked with a chari by Sasaki. Paul footchokes Yuya then Sasaki suplexes and single leg crabs Yuya. Yuya tries to fight back with forearms on Kanon then running forearms him.

Yukio gets in and kick flurries Kanon then PK's him for 2. Kanon and Yukio trade forearms and Kanon hits some nice ones to the gut. Paul gets in, catches Yukio's kick and suplexes him. Yukio then hits him with a nice flying kick. Higuchi russian legsweeps Paul then Paul hits some bolo punches. Paul then hits a stiff Thesz press on him.

Higuchi makes a comeback and hits snake eyes on Sasaki. Yuya gets in running forearms Sasaki then hits a hammerlock STO. Yuya slams Sasaki then takes a double team ddt into a german. Sasaki pedigree's Yuya then superkicks him for 2. Sasaki then hits a top rope elbow and goes into a crossface for the win on Yuya.

This was short and fine but really nothing special. They just had too many people and not enough time. This could have easily gone another 10-15 minutes.

DISASTER BOX (HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura) & Yuki Ishida vs. Burning (Jun Akiyama, Tetsuya Endo & Yusuke Okada)

Ishida hits a rare izori sumo throw

Ishida does a dirty break on Okada and forearms him. Ishida headlock takeovers him then shoulders him out. Harashima and Endo then get in and mat wrestle some. Naomi and Jun then go at it and Naomi chops him hard. The two shoulder battle and Jun tags in Okada. Okada tries his luck with shoulders and gets nowhere then face kicks him, but is chopped down. Harashima gets in and tries some chops on him but Okada asks for more. Ishida then tries chops on Okada but can't get anywhere and is back elbowed. Okada and Ishida then go to the floor and Ishida is slammed there. Jun then purposely slams Ishida on the hard floor.

Jun then takes Ishida inside and slams him. Endo gets in and camel clutches Ishida. Endo chinbreakers him then Jun gets in and short piledrivers him. Jun continues the beat down then Ishida flying shoulders him and tags out. Harash gets in and rider kicks Jun then facekicks him. Jun hits a dragon screw then Okada forearms him. Harash shotgun dropkicks him then Okada gets held up and bulldogged for 2. Noami corner splashes him then hits a bearhug belly to belly.  Okada comes back with a suplex. Endo and Naomi go at it and Endo standing moonsaults him.

Endo goes for a handspring but gets caught and takes a nasty lariat to the back of the neck. Ishida gets in and hits some offense on Endo. Ishida hits a rare sumo izori throw and belly to belly suplexes him. Ishida hits some forearms then palm thrust flurries him. Endo takes corner moves then takes a springboard splash and a diving battering ram to the face. Ishida then suplexes Endo for 2 and Endo comes back with a dropkick. Ishida takes a running knee and a running ssp for 2. Endo pele kicks him then handspring enzugiri's him. Endo then spinning rack bombs him for 2 and top rope ssp's him for the win.

This was good but they did beat up Ishida too much instead of having more of a fair match. It could have been better and longer for a more epic feel but I still liked it. Ishida was good as usual hitting a nice izori throw and a sick battering ram to the face and Endo cleaned up as usual to end it.

Yuji Hino vs Yukio Naya

They shoulder battle to start then Hino flying shoulders him. Hino runs right into a facekick then gets stomped. They trade shots outside then Naya hiptosses him inside. Naya then drops an elbow and hits some knees to the chest. Naya then ddt's him. Hino hits a big suplex and then a nice big slam. Hino then frogsplashes Naya for 2.

They trade forearms for a while then trade chops. Hino asks the ref to help him take off his shirt and they trade more chops. Naya hits a knee ot the gut flurry then Hino exploders him. Naya hits a boot to the face then takes a big lariat. Naya then drops him with a headbutt and running knees him in the back of the head then the chest. Naya then hits a nice superplex for 2.

Naya goes for a backdrop but Hino rolls over on it then Hino swings at him with lariats. Hino then drops him with a lariat for 2. Hino then hits a stiff jacknife powerbomb and wins it.

The pace was a little slow but this was a very good heavyweight hoss match. They beat the crap out of each other with stiff shots and hard hitting moves and it was everything you would hope it would be. I really liked this one and recommend checking it out. It was one of my favorite hoss matches this year.

Overall thoughts: Another good house show from DDT. These guys often deliver on house shows when other promotions don't. Naya/Hino was a real good one and the trios main (I accidentally reviewed it out of order) was good too.

WWE NXT 2.0 6/28/2022

WWE NXT 2.0 6/28/2022

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2022/06/wwe-nxt-20-6212022.html

#1 Contenders - Kayden Carter and Katana Chance vs Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez

Carter rolls during an armlock and pushes off the ropes to roll back. She armdrags Cora then walks up the ropes and armdrags her. Chance then gets thrown up and she hits la silla on Cora. Chance armdrags her off the ropes and see Toxic Attraction watching from the Toxic Lounge.

Cora basement dropkicks Chance then Perez headscissors Chance. Perez hits another armdrag on Chance then Carter back kicks Perez from the apron. She hits a pepsi twist on her then Chance slingshot sentons on Perez for 2. Chance gets put on Perez's shoulders and then has her throat thrown on the ropes.

Chance escapes a double suplex then Cora and Perez dropkick both opponents. Perez is thrown out and we go to PiP break. We return and Perez takes a codebreaker then Chance double stomps her from that position. Carter crabs Perez then Chance crabs Perez. Cora gets the hot tag in  and headscissors Carter. She then step up enzugiri's her. Carter superkicks Cora in the gut and both fall down after forearms at the same time.

Carter knocks Cora off the apron then Cora pulls Carter out so she and Chance can't do the neckbreaker/450 combo. Perez hits a code red on Chance and wins it.

There wasn't anything wrong with it but it wasn't special and Chance/Carter are the better team. Perez and Cora won't win the tag titles anyway though.

We see Diamond Mine in their dojo. Gacy and The Diad walk in. Gacy says if Strong doesn't appreciate their brillance, he does. He said he would welcome them with open arms. Julius said they aren't sipping the kool-aid and Diamond Mine is forever. Strong and Kemp come in and Strong calls Gacy an idiot. Strong and Brutus tell them they wull show how strong their bond is whenever and wherever. Gacy agrees and says let's see it tonight.

Toxic Attraction are interviewed. Jacy wasn't impressed with Perez and Jade. Gigi says they have beaten best friends before and next week will be no different. Mandy warns Perez against saving her title shot contract against her. Nikkita Lyons walks in. She said Perez might not have that contract if she was injury free. Nikkita says her eyes are on Mandy. Mandy says all eyes are on her at all times. Mandy agrees to a match tonight.

Giovanni Vinci vs Ikemen Jiro

Vinci and Jiro trade armlocks then Jiro hits jacket punches. Vinci germans him then hits some hard chops. Jiro enzugiri's him and misses an ikemen special. Vinci then springboard tornado ddt's him and the crowd pops big for it. Vinci jaws at the camera then wins with a sitff last ride ligerbomb.

Good squash here though this could have been a lot more and it sucks to see Jiro do squash duty. The new gimmick for Vinci is working and may be the boost he needed.

We see clips of Briggs and Jensen winning the NXT UK Tag Titles.

Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams are interviewed. Melo says no one will get anything over on him and says every rule has an exception when you an exceptional talent like him. Grayson Waller walks in. He brings a basketball in and says his friends want a basketball signed by him. He then gives him a shirt and some photos. Melo says he likes his pendant and Waller says he's the man. Melo and Trick then say he is a trustworthy and great guy.

Joshi Briggs, Brooks Jensen and Fallon Henley come out with the NXT UK Tag Titles. They said NXT UK brought the fight, but they brought it back to them. They say they have rematch for Carter and Smith when they return. Jensen thanks Briggs for picking him as his tag partner. Briggs says we have one more thing to do and Henley says, "let's drink some beer".

Pretty Deadly come out. PD says the NXT UK belts were gorgeous when they had them and calls them American trailer trash. PD says the belts smell now. Briggs says he smells an Alabama @ss kicking coming their way and PD mock it. Briggs tells them to shut up. He says lots of great teams held the NXT UK tag title's, but they aren't one of them. They then said, "yes, boy". Briggs then challenges them to fight right now as they will be fighting champs. Briggs says they will make the decision for them and Jensen decks Elton. Both PD members are then lariated out of ring.

We get a Bron Breakker video. We see highlights of him. He says he is high energy, high intensity and high impact. He says he will prove why he is champ every week.

Chance and Carter go to the locker room and are mad. They run into Tatum Paxley and ask what she is looking at. Tatum says she isn't looking at anything and says she is just giving them space. Carter tells her to mind her own space. Tatum accuses them of being mad they lost their match.

Indi Hartwell vs Kiana James

Kiana wristlocks her and Indi armdrags her off of it. Indi drops her on the top buckle face first then has her throat draped over the 2nd rope. KJ stomps on her then bodyscissors her. Indi facekicks her on the ropes then forearms her from the apron. Indi misses a springboard elbow drop then Kiana puts her feet on the ropes and pins her.

The ending was lame and the match wasn't anything special, though it was quite short so it's not like it could be special.

We cut to Tony D on a bridge with Stacks. We hear something go in the water then we see Tony D with Two Dimes' jacket and watch. Tony said he made a move for his chair and he guesses he now sleeps with the fishes. Tony then throws the watch he gave him in the water. Escobar then calls Tony, mocking his N-A title loss. Tony throws his phone saying he had enough of him and is done with him. In real life, Two Dimes was fired (though likely will be brought back) and this is a way to write him off.

Wes Lee does a promo. He ays he was pouring his heart out and Trick Williams ruined his moment. He said his honesty doesn't make him soft and is in fact strength. He says he will show Trick his strenght at Great American Bash and ays he has no respect for him.

Roderick Strong and The Creed Brothers vs Joe Gacy and The Diad

Gacy and Strong lock up. Gacy shoulders him over then brings him into corner. Diad 1 gets shoulder thrown by Strong then takes a fireman's carry takedown by Brutus.  D1 gets a gutwrench suplex from Brutus then takes a shoulder throw. Julius gutwrenches Brutus onto D1 then Julius gives D1 a knee and he goes out.

Gacy tells D1 he trusts him and says pain is only temporary. D1 lariats Julius and hits a short armed lariat. Diad 2 gets in and lariats Julius. Gacy takes over on Julius and D2 gets back in. Julius is sittong down and gets up with D2 in suplex position. We then get a triple suplex spot and both Diad members are lariated over the top. Gacy then gets dropkicked out.

We go to PiP break and return. Brutus hits a nice gutwrench on Gacy then gets clipped. Gacy ddt's him. The Diad hold Brutus then Gacy goes upside down in the corner and talks to him. He then uranage's him for 2. D2 neckbreakers Brutus. Brutus tags out and Julius hot tags in. He hits suplexes on both opponents then deadlifts D2 and throws him in a neat suplex. Julius then takes him down and Strong tags himself in. Strong hits a jumping knee then Julius and Strong argue. Strong pushes him. The Diad do twin magic an dswap then Strong is held up by one Diad member and ddt'd by the other for the Diad win.

This was long and wasn't anything special, but it did further the Strong/Creed's issues.

Hayes and Trick are walking out. Trick says he will beat Wes Lee next week and the interviewer said she wanted to talk to Hayes about Waller/Hayes next week. Hayes doesn't know what she is talking about then figures out Waller tricked him and had him sign a contract. Hayes says Waller got him but he will walk out as the N-A champ next week.

We are told Alba Fyre was injured by Lash Legend's baseball bat shot to the throat last week. We go to a trainer in the back and Lash kicks him out. Lash says she put Alba on the shelf permanently. Lash tells the NXT women's division to stay out of her way.

Diamond Mine is arguing in the back. Strong says all the Creed's had to do was listen. The Creed's say they do listen then get blamed. Strong says they have nothing but excuses. He then says him and Kemp will face the Creed's in a match next week for the NXT tag titles. Strong says he will teach them a lesson. Kemp then stares him down.

Sanga vs Xyon Quinn

Xyon attacks him during his entrance. We then go to PiP break. They get them in the ring and the refs get out. Xyon hits a facekick then Sanga hits some punches. Xyon shoulders him and gets nowhere then is run over. Sanga lariats Xyon over the top then Xyon gets back in and chokes him with his knee against the middle rope.

Sanga stares him down and slaps him in the back. Sanga drops him on the buckle face first and hits a big slam on him. Sanga misses an elbow drop then Xyon shoulder dives him for 2. Xyon hits some chest clubs while doring a chinlock to Sangaand is backed up into the ropes. He kicks him in the back then Sanga puts him in a tazzmission. Sanga hits a lariat and slams him again.  Sanga then chokeslams him and takes the win.

Sanga did his thing okay but he doesn't have a lot of moves yet and is limited. Xyon really got jobbed out here and got little in during his whooping. This match was basic, kind of slow and not too interesting.

We get a Cameron Grimes package. We see some clips of him and see some of his segment with Bron from last week.

We see Wendy Choo sleeping and having a nightmare about Tiffany Stratton. We then see her dream become more positive and we see her wake up. She brushes her teeth and thinks about whether she is stupid or not. Wendy says she will get under Tiff's skin, go for the pin and win. This was not good and isn't really explainable in any believeable way.

Nikkita Lyons vs Mandy Rose

They lock up and Lyons throws her around during the lock-up. Lyons throws her around and kips up. Mandy takes shots on Lyons' injured knee then Lhyons leg kicks her. Lyons hip tosses her and corner splashes her. We go to break and return to them mounting and pounding each other a couple of times. Mandy tells her she is nobody then Lyons blocks her punch and hits a lariat and kicks. Lyons' german suplexes her then Mandy top rope dropkicks her. Lyons his some kicks and a nice spin kick. Toxic Attraction then get in, Jacy clips her and Gigi/Jacy beat her down. Mandy get's DQ'd for this. Lyons then gets held as Mandy slaps her. Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez make the save and superkick Mandy.

This wasn't too bad at all before the sudden dirty finish. I liked the leg being worked on here.

Solo Sikoa and Apollo Crews talk in the back. Solo said Waller got lucky against him last week. Apollo says he will get his revenge and says Solo has something special. Xyon Quinn then walks in.  Xyon tells Apollo a lot his changed he last left. Xyon tells him he can't become the perfect star as that's him. Xyon brags about himself. Apollo says Xyon's future looks bright on paper, but isn't looking too good otherwise.

Cameron Grimes is walking in from the parking lot, as is Bron.

We get another Jordan Devlin/JD McDonagh vignette. He says nice guys finish last and he always finishes first. He said he is the man needed to bring balance to NXT. He said he isn't just the ace of NXT UK, but the ace of anywhere he goes.

Grimes and Bron come out and Wade Barrett is in the ring. Bron says we got this. Bron says Grimes has nothing to lose. Grimes then says Bron has nothing to lose. Grimes says he doesn't have a backup plan, but says wrestling is Bron's backup plan. Grimes says Bron was cut by the Ravens, then called up his dad and got a gig in WWE. Bron said he didn't expect it and said he remmebers what happens the last time people started talking about the truth to Bron. Bron said Grimes is going to the moon next week and says he will be speared in half when he gets there. Grimes says Bron may knock him down, but he will get back up. Bron says he will keep knocking him down and tells him to call Ted Dibiase and ask him what to do next when he beats him. Bron says he is bigger, faster and stronger and Grimes says he doesn't have heart, or his heart. Grimes says it's not his fault and it's just genetics. Grimes said Rick Steiner didn't have heart either. Bron picks him up and runs hard int othe buckle. Grimes then throws him hard in again and the top rope comes off. Refs come in to check on Bron. Grimes says at 100% he maybe can't beat him, but right now, it looks like he isn't at 100%.

I wasn't a fan of this one. Grimes was kind of heelish here and Bron wasn't totally likeable either. The angle also probably needs more time to be followed up on but they fight next week, so that can't happen.

Overall thoughts: Not a good episode of NXT. There weren't any standout matches, Xyon got jobbed bad, Carter/Chance got jobbed and came off poor and we had a lot of dirty finishes. Bron also didn't look good in his segment.

Crea vs KAZUKI

Akari is the second ref here and gets to hit people with a fan when they say various things. Kazuki got the win here with a sunset flip. I skipped most of this as it's really hard to understand if you don't speak Japanese plus the ref getting to hit people is stupid.

Crea and AKARI vs Momo Tani and Chie Ozora

Everyone is wearing old gear for some reason.

Chie is thrown into her partner early then Chie and Momo are tired up in the ropes and chopped. Chiedropkicks Akari against the ropes and then Akari is used as a stool to pose on between the ropes. Momo hair throws Akari and drops knees on her. Akari then shotgun dropkicks Momo.

Crea trips Momo into an Akari elbow then Crea camel clutches Momo as Akari dropkicks her. Crea fights off a 2v1 with shoulders and Chie is slammed by Akari. Chie walks the top rope with Akari's arm then armdrags her. Akari pump kicks both opponents then Chie takes corner moves. Akari strangleholds Chie from the top buckle and misses a dropkick from 2nd rope. Chie then nails her with one for 2. Akari then takes a Chie double stomp and a Momo double knee drop. Akari then suplexes Momo for 2.

Crea hits some chest kicks on Momo and gets a 2 count on her. Momo facebusters Crea then Crea kneebreaks Momo. She rolls her into an ankle lock. Chie tries to break it up but gets put in a rack hold over Akari's shoulder. Crea goes up top and is thrown down by Momo then dropkicked by Chie. Momo meteora's her in the corner and drops double knees on her from the 2nd rope for 2.

Momo and Chie double dropkick Akari then Momo codebreakers Crea. Crea blocks her move then northern lights suplexes her for 2. Akari spin kicks Chie then takes a flying shoulder. Chie hits a top rope shoulder on Akari for 2 then sunsent flips her for 2. Chie rolls her around with a bodysicssors. Akari 619's Chie then Crea holds her up for an Akari facebuster. Akari then northern lights suplexes her and they try pin attempts.  Akari puts la magistral on Chie and Akari gets pushed into a Momo codebreaker. Chie then perfectplexes Akari and Akari hits a deep tequila sunrise on Chie for the win.

It wasn't anything too special. There was nothing really wrong with it but the selling wasn't there as the pace was too fast for it.

Leon vs Madeline vs Rydeen Hagane

Madeline has new gear here that looks like it was found at Target. They do a triple collar and elbow tie up and Maddy is thrown off. Maddy steps on the feet of her opponents and leg kicks them but is shouldered down. Maddy then uses the ropes to armdrag them. Maddy then poses on the top rope with Rydeen's arm and drops down with an armbar.

Maddy rolls up Leon out of nowhere and tries to explain herself, then tries to get Leon to work with her. Leon picks up Maddy and Maddy rolls on her and tris to get a pin off of it. Leon lawn dart spears Maddy then double stomps her. Leon then crabs her and Rydeen goes to sleeper Leon while she does this.

Rydeen spinning backbreakers Maddy then splashes both at the same time. Rydeen then single leg crabs both at the same time. Rydeen racks Leon over her back then splashes her against the ropes for 2. Leon then uses the ropes to bulldog Rydeen and spears her. Leon goes to top rope frogsplash both opponents but only gets Rydeen when Maddy moves.

Maddy hits chest kicks on Leon then Rydeen ends up spearing Rydeen on the apron. Maddy then rolls Leon into an ankle lock. Leon tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Maddy and racks her across her back. Rydeen breaks it up then side throws Leon. Maddy hits chest kicks on Rydeen then rolls her up a few times.

Rydeen blocks a casadora attempt and drops her body first on the mat. Rydeen then vader bombs her and Leon splashes her and dropkicks Rydeen at the same time. Leon spinning high kicks Rydeen and we even get a double pin attempt on Rydeen. Rydeen hits a super kick and spinning heel kick on Maddy. Leon then does a back roll into a bridge pin on Rydeen and Maddy gets on top of it and pins both girls to win it.

The finish was interesting. 3 ways are mostly all the same with a couple of 3 person moves and then people pairing off. That's what happened here. They worked some storyline with Leon and Maddy not being able to work together that I didn't really understand and they kept this one fast paced.

Overall thoughts: Not really a great dojo show. The comedy match wouldn't have been good even without the Japanese stuff and the rest wasn't enough to carry it.
