We are the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Peter Rosenberg and Blake Howard are on commentary.

We see unseen clips from last week's show. Aaron Rourke fought a 2v1 off from Hendrix and Riggins.

Wendy Choo says tonight is her first title defense and she's nervous. She says she has big shoes to fill in Kali and Kendal. She says she wants to know what Aaron Rourke has to say tonight. She says she wants to see who is hungrier in the 6-man tag. 

Max Abrams, Jacari Ball and Santi Rivera vs Romeo Moreno, Cappuccino Jones and Chazz "Starboy" Hall

Max slides out to start. CJ hits punches on Ball. CJ dropkicks Ball then dropkicks SR. Ball nails CJ from behind. Ball slams CJ. CJ armdrags SR. Star top rope double stomps SR's arm. Star walks up the buckles and diving springboard corkscrew armdrags him. RM 2nd rope dropkicks SR. CJ top rope double axe handles Ball.

RM claymore kicks SR. RM goes up and over SR then is lariated down. Max stomps on RM and boots him in the corner. Max disaster kicks RM for 2. Ball gutwrench suplexes RM 3x straight. SR elbow drops RM for 2.

SR is sent out and Star gets in. Star hits kicks on Ball. Ball lariats Max on accident and Star springboard flying headscissors Ball. CJ crossbodies SR over the top. RM spaceman plancha's the heels outside. Star flying space tiger drops the heels outside. Star then poses on his partners shoulders.

We go to break and return. Star hits shots on Ball and runs into CJ Valor outside. Ball rams Star's back into the post and apron edge. Star takes a neckbreaker over Ball's knee. Max running legdrops Star for 2. Star hits shots on Max. 

Star takes corner attacks. CJ pulls Star's throat down over the 2nd rope. Star armdrags Ball. Star goes for the tag and his partners are pulled off the apron. Max and CJ get in. Max offers a handshake and tries to kick him. CJ flying kicks him then hits a big lariat. CJ corner dropkicks then corner lariats Max. Ball is lariated over the top. CJ headscissors SR then lariats him over the top. CJ half-nelson suplexes Max for 2.

Max jumping knees CJ. SR slingblades CJ for 2. RM springboard dropkicks SR. SR is suplexed then Star top rope ssp's SR for 2. The two sides stare down then all 6 fight. SR twisting ddt's Star from his shoulder. Max top rope splashes Star for 2. 

Everyone starts hitting moves. Star pele kicks Max. Max is up top and is headbutted. RM top rope spanish flies Max. It's Gal comes down and pulls CJ Valor off the apron. Timothy Thatcher's security pulls Gal away. Max over the back fameassers RM and pins him.

Thoughts: It got a lot of time. Max's team thankfully won. They tried and it was okay but probably not as good as it should have been. They did most of their dives in the middle half of this and then had a big finishing stretch at the end. SR didn't get to do all that much except get lariated over the top.

Chuey Martinez interviews the winners after. Max says his team is main man energy. CJ Valor says they take opportunities and don't wait. Ball say Cap Jones just got mauled. Chuey says he thought this behavior would stop when Vanity Project left.

Laynie Luck says she's competing for the women's title tonight and it has her contemplating how she got here. She talks about having to change a tire in the rain and wondered if this was all worth it. She says she could have gave it up but not that girl. She says she changed the tire and knew she couldn't give her dream up. Luck says it's her time to make the title.

Karmen Petrovic is working out. Smoke blows and lights flash. Nikkita Lyons comes in with Sloane Jacobs. Lyons says they need the space and ask her to get out. KP says she's self-centered. Sloane says it looks like she is looking for a fight. KP says she will handle either of them next week. 

Timothy Thatcher is in the ring. He says Wendy Choo has invented herself multiple times and will defend her title tonight. He says he wants to talk about who faces Aaron Rourke for the title next. Aaron Rourke comes out.

Aaron says he's ready for his next challenger. He says he has words for anyone who is listening. He says he will do whatever it takes to keep the title. He says he calls himself a diamond as he is built from pressure and thrives in it. He tells Thatcher to put whoever he wants in there.

Kam Hendrix and Harley Riggins comes in. Kam nominates himself to fight him for the title. Kam says he's the greatest GM in Evolve history and says they should do this next week.

Brooks Jensen comes out. He says Kam doesn't cut in the line. Brooks says he beat Aaron's friend Cap Jones in a bullrope match. He says he's the #1 contender. 

Tristan Angels comes out. Angels says he appreciates the hustle of everyone in the ring and says they are buttering up Thatcher. He says their efforts are in vain and says they have faces built for radio. He says there's only one man to be the next face of Evolve and it's him. Angels says he should be the #1 contender.

Dorian Van Dux comes out. Tate Wilder then comes out and nails the heels. Thatcher gets on the mic. Thatcher says there will be a fatal four way for a title shot next week and forgets about Tate. Thatcher kicks everyone out. He says if Tate and Riggins want to fight, they can do it now. 

Tate Wilder vs Harley Riggins

Tate hits punches. HR boots him out of the corner. Tate backdrops him then asai moonsaults him. Tate lariats HR over the top. Tate kicks HR from the apron then is hit in the gut when he jumps off the apron. Tate is backdropped on the apron. 

HR stomps on Tate then sentons him. HR forearms him from behind. HR pulls Tate's arms back. HR catches his crossbody and swinging side slams him for 2. HR 2nd rope springboard twisting swantons him for 2.

They double clothesline each other at the same time. They trade punches. Tate flying shoulders HR. Tate twisting suplexes HR for 2. Tate dropkicks him. Tate hits a corner lariat. HR goes up and over and backcrackers him for 2. HR headbutts him in the gut. Tate sunset flips him and pins him off a back body drop attempt.

Thoughts: It was acceptable only. I don't know if Tate got enough of his flying in and HR stuck to basic shots mostly. I was surprised to see HR do a twisting swanton.

Kam Hendrix nails Tate from behind after and hits a backdrop uranage.  

Dorian Van Dux says everyone will learn he's not the one to push aside or interrupt. He says he told himself there would be no wasted steps when he arrived and says nothing has changed. He says he refuse to let the title chance opportunity pass him by. He says he will put his hands on Rourke and the Evolve Title.

Thoughts: Dux sadly needs subtitles as it's really hard to understand about 1/3rd of what he says.

WWE Women's Evolve Title - Wendy Choo (c) vs Laynie Luck

Luck trips her. Choo snapmares her. Luck offers a handshake and Choo slaps the hand. Luck monkey flips her and they both bridge. Choo cartwheels out of a wristlock and throws Luck down by the arm. Choo offers a handshake. Luck shakes her hand and grabs her. Luck side headlocks her.

Luck armdrags her then springboard diving armdrags her. Luck dropkicks her. Luck rolls up Choo for 2. Choo jack knifes her for 2. They trade pin attempts. Choo cartwheel elbows her in the corner then running facekicks her there. Choo running boots her for 2.

Luck misses a double stomp on the apron. Luck superkicks her outside. Luck 2nd rope swantons her for 2. Luck spin kicks her and suplexes her. Luck bottom rope springboard splashes her. Choo hits forearms and chops. Choo hits lariats. Choo pepsi twist ariats her for 2.

Luck upkicks her and high kicks her. Luck shining wizards her for 2. Luck backrolls her and Choo goes for a sleeper. Choo full nelson slams her for 2. Choo superplexes her. Nikkita Lyons and Sloane Jacobs then come in and beat up both girls. The match is thrown out.

Thoughts: It was acceptable but nothing too great. Luck is average at just about everything now and it's hard to really see her being a future star. She wasn't very spectacular here and I'm not a big fan of her offense. Choo isn't the most exciting wrestler either. The finish totally blew any chance this one had though to be something more. Sitting through 15 minutes of this and not getting a finish was pretty lame.

Choo and Luck are beaten up after. Choo is held for high kicks from Sloane. Karmen Petrovic comes out and points at Lyons. She runs into the ring and the show ends.

Overall thoughts: It was a wrestling heavy edition of Evolve with the opener going long and the main getting a lot of time. They really gave the wrestlers in the opener everything they needed to do something great but it didn't happen. The segment with everyone wanting a title shot was pretty standard and it's unknown why only 4 of the 6 guys were selected. The main was acceptable but had a lame finish. I'd give it a 5 out of 10. There wasn't anything too great here and the finish to the main stunk. I thought this was average.
