Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2021/03/impact-wrestling-322021.html
Jazz with Jordynne Grace vs Tasha Steelz with Kiera Hogan
Tasha gets he advantage on the mat early and gloats to Jazz. Tasha fires up and jumping neckbreakers Jazz for 2. Tasha works Jazz in the corner. Tasha misses some punches and hits a falcon arrow for 2. Jazz mounts a comeback and sitout slams Tasha for 2. Kiera gets on the apron and Grace knocks her off. Jazz then puts Tasha in the STF and taps her for the win. This really wasn't anything special and they probably had Jazz win as she is challenging for the tag titles this weekend.
ODB gets interviewed and slaps the interviewer on the butt. ODB says she is going to be a 5x Knocked Up champ and would knock some sense into Deonna. Susan asks ODB for a one on one and ODB accepts. Susan says she is coming in alone.
We are told D'Amore has an announcement for the Swann/Moose match at the PPV.
Trey Miguel was challenged for tonight, but he turned it down then was provoked into accepting it tonight.
They do a package for Swann vs Moose.
Rohit Raju and Shera vs Chris Sabin and James Storm
Sabin and Raju trade strikes early then Raju does a nice leg sweep. Storm and Shera trade punches then Shera hits a nice boot to Storm's face. Shera takes a combo from Storm and Sabin and we go to break. We come back from break and we were shown clips of Sabin having to fight them off 1v2 during the break. Raju does a fast cannonball into the corner on Sabin.
Sabin makes a tag to Storm who cleans house with a nice spinebuster on Raju. Sabin runs up Storm for a tornado ddt on Raju. Sabin hits an enzugiri on Raju then flies backwards for a forearm from Shera. Raju hits a nice jumping knee on Storm and then he argues with Shera. Sabin dropkicks Shera into Raju off the top and then dropkicks Shera over the top rope. Storm hits a lung blower on Raju then Sabin hits a cradle shock.
We missed a lot of this due to commercial but what we were shown was a pretty good. Everything Raju did looked really good here.
Reno Scum and XXXL argued in the back. The Decay interrupted and Romero wanted out. Reno Scum seemingly then seemingly agreed to fight them.
Violent by Design did a segment. Deaner's eye was closed. Eric Young said violence is a path and he needs to accept the consquences. Sabin and Storm walked in and were told this doesn't concern them. Storm told them what they were doing to Deaner was wrong. VBD then attacked them and left them laying. EY told them to stay out of their business.
Brian Myers wanted to talk with D'Amore in the back. He wanted Eddie Edwards' contract to be terminated and said that would make his unsafe work environment case go away. Scott said they can always go to court, but the problem between Myers and Edwards needs to be settled in a "Hold Harmless Match". Myers agreed as he thought it was a submission match. D'Amore explained it means a No DQ match and Myers was mad.
Trey Miguel vs Sam Beale
Sami Callihan came out and said Trey is a quitter. He then introduces Sam Beale.
Beale hits some forearms to start then takes a big dropkick. Trey wraps up Beale's leg and back drops him then submits him quickly as Callihan mock claps.
The screen changed and Sami appeared in the ring and hit a package piledriver on Beale. It changed again and Sami disappeared. I don't know what this teleporting crap is about but it sucked.
Sabin and Storm weren't happy with Eric Young. Storm called EY a snake and said the only way to kill a snake is to cut its head off. Storm said he was coming out at the PPV to whoop their @ss. Jake Something then came in. He offered to join them at ringside to stop Eric Young. They accepted.
Tony Khan and Tony Schiavone talked about Revolution and Dynamite.
Scott D'Amore did a contract signing with The Good Brothers and FinnJuice. they all drank in tribute to their match. Juice only wanted one shot and Karl Anderson told them they need to drink more. Finlay then said they needed to drink another shot then they signed the contracts. FinnJuice didn't drink theirs and instead threw it in the Good Brothers faces. Then they all started fighting with action music and wild camera cuts. I don't really find the Good Brothers to be entertaining and the music during the fight turned this into a silly segment.
Ace Austin with Madman Fulton vs Chris Bey
Austin rolls out and stalls early. He sets up a chair outside for Fulton to sit on. This gets off to a slow start with a headscissors and Ace butterfly suplexes Bey. Ace goes outside and Bey does a flip dive on him landing perfectly on his feet. Ace handstands out of a foot sweep then hits a fosbury flop onto Bey.
Back in and Ace double springboards Bey into a kick called the "triangle kick". Bey rolls around and catches Ace with a sunset bomb. Ace hits a twisting neckbreaker then a cool springboard twisting flip senton. Ace pulls out his ace card but Bey evades his moves. Bey goes up top and gets a spinning roudhouse kick to the head. They fight up top and both fall onto the apron then the floor as we go to break.
Back from break and we are told it took them a while to get back in the ring. They trade forearms while on their knees. Bey gets his neck rammed into the middle rope then takes an enzugiri. Ace then does a spinning legdrop from the top. Ace misses some headscissors and takes a lariat off the 2nd rope. Bey then hits a vertebreaker but of course it is only for 2. Bey then hits a slingshot DDT to a standing Ace. Ace goes out and Bey goes after him but Fulton gets in the way. Fulton then ducks and Ace uses his back to kick Bey.
TJP then goes to sit on top of the ramp. Ace gets distracted by it and Fulton gets him to leave. Bey then hits a springboard cutter and wins it.
I didn't have any issues with this until the vertebreaker spot. That should always finish a match. I didn't really like the finish either.
We went to Swinger's Palace. TJP got some money and implied he set the Ace/Bey finish up. Josh Alexander comes up to him and says he will be waiting for his shot at the X-Title from TJP.
Shera and Raju talk in the back. Raju said he brought him from India and isn't happy at what he is getting in return. Shera grabs him by the ears and says he doesn't owe him anything.
ODB vs Susan
ODB motorboats her in her chest early. ODB pulls her shirt open to slap her on the chest then she splashes her. ODB then bronco busters her and fallaway slams her. WE go to break and come back.
Susan tries to low blow ODB but that doesn't work. ODB Thesz presses her off the top. Susan pulls ODB by the hair then pours out ODB's flask. ODB sees this and TKO's her for it to win. Deonna P and Kimber Lee then come and jump ODB, but Jazz and Jordynne Grace come out and brawl with them. Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan then come out and beat up on Jazz and Grace. Tasha, Hogan, Deonna, Kimber and Susan win that battle and pose. This was not good at all.
Scott D'Amore was in the back and said a contract was signed. Moose then appeared in the ring and said he wants to hear the news about that contract first since he is champ. Moose gets angry waiting for him and says he is taking things over until Scott comes out.
D'Amore comes out. He brings out Rich Swann. He said Moose and Swann will put both their titles on the line in a world title unification match at the PPV on Saturday. He said the winner of that will face the AEW champ Kenny Omega at Rebellion in April.
Don Callis then is show in the back talking to Kenny Omega on the phone, saying this is done as they planned.
Overall thoughts: Not a great episode. I liked a little of Ace/Bey and I liked the Raju tag and the title vs title announcement, but not much else.
